Really good teacher wish he would teach Engl 1302. You will pass the class as long as you show up and do your essays as he wants. Really nice teacher and answers any questions you have. You won't be sorry if you take him.

Great teacher! I feel he really ties to connect with his students and encourages you to trust yourself with your writing. He gives you good input on your work and tries to help his students as much as he can. I would definately take him again!!

Mr. White is the type of teacher anyone would want. He is very lenient he seems to make class funny and interesting, their was not one class I did not enjoy going to this summer. I wish all my professors were like him because I learned more from him than my 1301 professor. I totally recommend taking classes w/ him, great teacher.

Mr. White is super EASY!!! You MUST do your work. Attendance is not really a big issue with him. You're an adult, you can miss class whenever you like BUT you must catch up with the work missed. Topics of the papers can be a little weird and crazy but it is not difficult work! Would sooo have him teach ALL my classes.

I was in his Dual-Credit class at the Fraga campus, and he was really nice. His test aren't hard at all. He even lets you use notes. You read quite a few graphic novels, but nothing you can't handle. There are also 2 major papers, but 1 is your own graphic novel & the other on a book which was a pretty good book! I recommend taking him 100%!!!!

Professor Brandon White is one of the best teacher I have ever taken in hcc. His class is not hard and you will pass if you do all the work. His essays are not boring like most of other professors. He also claims to have dated Beyoncé. Lol I really recommend this professor!!!

I really enjoyed Prof. White's (online) class, even though English is one of my least favorite subjects as I'm not the best writer. The essay prompts he assigned were creative and interesting - and he always included very helpful feedback. I would definitely recommend taking his class(es)!

Took this class over the first half of the summer session. Great teacher with an easygoing disposition! His classes are very organized and he is well prepared. The topics that he selects are fun and engaging and his other materials aid the in-class discussions. Read, do the work, participate in-class and should do fine.

He is really passionate and very understanding to what students need. He is down to earth and not tough on the students when it comes to the demands of college level learning. My writing skill improved a lot without an essay due every other day or reading a thousand pages a week. Definitely take this class you wont regret it. Youwillpassandlearn.

I enjoyed taking professor White's class for two specific reasons. 1. As an adult student who hasn't been in a classroom in years, the course was preparation for what's in store 2. There are no hidden lessons to be learned I attended his classes and the grading rubric was fair.

Professor Brandon White has my respect in his teaching intelligence. He will give you current topics that sometimes you may feel that you are in a basic biology class. His topics are interesting. He is organized and will check your first draft to improve you English grammar and certain ideas to revise for improvement.

Skeptical about taking an online class but Mr. White made it a breeze. He always emailed me back within 24 hrs with a clarifying answer every time I was confused about something. You need a textbook to do all of the assignments other than the papers. I rented an online book which I found was cheapest. Would definitely have him as a teacher again.

Prof. White gives lots of work. There are about 5 vocabulary quizzes (not multiple choice) and 4 papers not to mention 4 or 5 hw assignments! Not going to lie it is a lot of work! However, if you do your best on the papers, turn in all hw assignments and participate in class discussions it is a well earned A!

Took him online for fall 2015. Was going through health issues and had trouble keeping up with deadlines. He was very understanding and helpful and provided me opportunities to complete my work properly. Very responsive and understanding. Lots of work but it isn't hard. Grades fair and provides great feedback.

I took his summer 2342 class and it was very insightful, ours grades consisted of papers, midterm and final. I definitely recommend this class, do the work you will get an A

Brandon White is by far the best English professor I have ever taken! Only had to write two essays. Discussed great topics that led to even better debates. You will easily pass the class if you put in 100% effort and attend! Attendance is crucial because if you miss a day, you will miss out on a chunk of knowledge. Hardly used book.

He is one of the best professors in HCC. He really helps you out. We had about 4 quizzes and 3 essays. He checks your paper and gives tips. He gave us so much extra credit for the quizzes. Just ask him for help and he will help you out.

I recently took Professor White's English 1302 course for the mini term for the Spring Semester. He allowed students to submit rough drafts of their essays to receive valuable feedback before submitting our final draft. The online class was very organized and he responded to emails promptly with questions or concerns. Great professor!

Great Professor. English isnt my favorite subject, but he makes attending class not as dreadful. He really tries to work with you if you want to raise up your grade. He does offer a few extra credit options. I suggest take advantage of them. They can be the difference between an A and a B.

Great, funny teacher. He is young so most of the essays are about things what will keep you interested. If you are not good in English, he does offer extra credit and allows you to submit your rough drafts for feedback. You will watch two movies in the class (very interesting). I would recommend this teacher.

It's rare to find a class that changes you, with work that you enjoy, benefit from, & reflect deeply upon. His class is a class on graphic novels, a medium I have always derided until I took Professor White's class. Amazing, in a word. I have a new appreciation not only for this contemporary genre, but for the world and for this dear professor.

Professor White gives wonderful feedback and has clear criteria for the class. There were a total of 10 assignments, 6 quizes, 2 papers, midterm, and a Final. It was all short answer/essay. Reading is mandatory and he expects you to use plenty of textual evidence. Overall I would take his class again/ take a different course from him.

Professor White is by far the best professor I have come across! Very easy work and is very clear with what he expects from you. He is young and very jolly which is a plus with his criteria due to his sense of humor. You will not be disappointed in him!!

I took this class during the winter mini and it was such a breeze. There were only 3 papers, 3 quizzes, and 3 hws all very easy and didn't require more than 750 words. The writing topics were also very interesting so it was kind of fun writing even though I usually stress about it. Professor was super nice and helpful.

Took Brandon White for an 8 AM class Fall 2017 semester. Even though its an early class we sure had a lot of fun in there! He has a great personality. In the classwe wrote 3-4 essays in the class that were interesting topics. We had homework every other week which wasn't bad (unless you're lazy!) He gave fantastic feedback on your papers! EASY A!

He is my favorite professor out of all the professors I've had throughout my college career. I took him for a second start semester & read three graphic novels, all of which were super interesting. For grades, it's just thought provoking quizzes & essays. He's so nice & will respond when he receives your assignment.

Brandon is the bomb!! Cool, funny, and a generally overall good dude. As long as you do your homework and actually try, you will pass. I cannot begin to explain how amazing of a professor Mr. Brandon White is. He is very straightforward, kind, understanding and keeps the class entertaining. Everything stated on the syllabus is followed precisely. I failed his class before due to personal reasons but retook the class with him just because I enjoyed his class so much!

Professor White is truly amazing! He cares about his students and his lectures are easy to understand. If you study the terms he tells you will be on the test then you will pass all of your exams. His essays have interesting topics and he always gives feedback on how to improve and even gives you the opportunity to rewrite papers after feedback.

I took his online 1301 class. Easiest class I have taken so far. He is very clear about what he wants from your assignments, and as long as you follow the directions it is an easy A.

Was in Engl1301 and loved his class will be taking Engl1302 as well If you do the homework study for the quizzes and do all your essays you will pass his class. Do not slack off its a easy A he tells you exactly what he expects if you do it you will be good.

Reminds you when things are due, sends confirmation that he got your assignment, and sends assignment back graded, with feedback. I wish all my professors were like him. So.. probably the easiest class EVER. I took his online class and he was very fair with his assignments. Fairly easy. You just have to keep up with the schedule he lists out. He does remind you the day of when assignments are about to be due. Nice professor and the books he assigns are comics so it is not hard to read.

I absolutely loved his class. His essay are very interesting, and he even allows you to make corrections for a higher grade. Good amount of writing but he helps you as much as you need and gives great feedback. His lectures really help with developing your essays. 4 essays, small assignments, and few quizzes. Easiest class ever

Essays are heavy work but he gives extra credit to make up for points on the quizzes. Fun teacher and very straightforward. I would take his class again.

At the beginning I felt I may not get good grade but I made sure to do all the extra credits, revision paper work and did all assignment. He is supportive and helpful as well. 4 Quiz essay, 3 Papers and extra credit worth 40 points. Work hard and get those grades! Don't be lazy if you want A.

He gives you great feedback and a chance to increase your grade by revising your work and extra credits, the papers were fine, you needed to do some work before hand but still manageable, quizzes on the other hand made me question why am I taking the course in the first place, extremely hard and long takes 18 hours each and you dont get enough time

Taking this course has a lot of writing involved. 4 quizzes and 3 essays, no final. The topics are not interesting, and the quizzes are written questions and super long! He does give a lot of extra credit, and he allows you time to revise your papers for a better grade. Overall, he is a great professor and I DO recommend taking him.

Picky on essays, but not too bad. A mixture of quizzes & essays. Provides articles & videos (weekly readings) to familiarize yourself with the topic. The quizzes are written and contain 7 parts. He will post the quiz instructions at the beginning of the week and the quiz will be due at the end of the week. The essay topics are a bit boring.

Best english professor, if you have a chance to have him as your engl 1301 professor, make yourself a favor and choose him.

Will give many extra credit chances. Very clear instructions. Lots of time to do homework and papers. Very caring about his students. Fun class. Nice guy. Easy to manage. I would take his class again. Treats you like a human being and is there to help you succeed. Fun in class discussions and he is super chill.

Overall solid teacher. Professor that clearly is passionate about what he teaches. Each essay topic is something interesting. Discussions can drag on a bit but overall pretty good. He gives great feedback on the essays and is more than willing to help out students during office hours. Also makes lots of jokes :)

Mr. White made English easy. There isn't much reading aside from short stories. The semester included just papers and exams, no finals or homework. He was also generous with extra credit. Granted you focus just a bit to make sure you have things turned in, its an easy A or B+ in this class, while still learning a lot. Definitely take him.

Professor White seems really passionate about his class. He also provides clear feedback on your papers and is easy to reach outside his office hours. Quizzes are about 90 questions but they are weekly and open-book. Few papers and his topics are interesting. He provides book and multiple reading materials that pertain to his essay topics.

Awesome Professor. 4 quizzes, 3 papers, and offers a LOT of in-class extra credit. He offers revisions for all 3 papers. 10-point late penalty on papers. Anyone saying the class is hard, was not even trying. He is very funny and entertaining in class. His goal is to help you and your writing.

Kept the class interesting and not boring. I liked the topics he used for our essays and gave back feedback to perfect essays. He is strict on deadlines but gives reasonable time to submit assignments.

I enjoyed the class and the way the professor presents the info. He puts a lot of effort into the lessons. Always available for questions. 3-4 tests throughout semester, 3 papers in total, no final exam. Textbook included with tuition. Will be taking again for 1302! Also, give him a pity laugh for the cheesy jokes at least a few times.

He's a good teacher throws a few jokes here and there, is strict on deadlines and will let you submit late but you will see your grade affected for late submissions. He gives good feedback on paper assignments and will tell you on the areas that need to improve. read the textbook chapters he goes thru and you'll be good for the class

Professor White has a specific teaching style, but engaging with it pays off. Leverage unstuckstudy and the free textbook for study prep - it really helped me boost my grade.

Is a chill professor. His online class wasn't too stressful. Have to read quite a bit, but there are only a few assignments (around 5). Takes a while to grade, but is easy to reach through emails. Is pretty lenient when grading, but don't take that for granted. If there are any grading mistakes, send him an email and he usually fixes it.

Easy class just keep up with your work, he doesn't offer extensions. Lectures are easy to sit through and aren't too boring
