Ms. Jumper is one of the best math teachers around...prior to her class I was a C student in Math and in her class I am making A's on everything. She is extremely helpful and hilarious in class. Just do the work and she will make sure you understand it...and you'll get a good grade.

She is awesome. She keeps you interested in what she is teaching. Wants you to succeed.

"Jump" rocks! She's always cracking jokes, having fun and all this while she's doing the lesson with you on the board. If you have questions she'll stop and go over it until you get it. She's not one of those profs who just goes and teaches and leaves you out to dry, she explains the "why" factor. I finally understand!

Good teacher, helpful and really knows how to teach. Has a big personality so class is interesting. No intros to the subject in class so read ahead. Show up 15 - 30 min early to capture notes. Gets frustrated if we don't catch on right away. Tough grader, doesn't like multiple choice but doesn't give much partial credit either. No bonus points.

I was nervous before taking this class as I've had really bad luck with Math teachers (had 2 that either couldn't speak English or couldn't do math) but Jumper is extremely fun, makes math more enjoyable and tries to make it easier. She is by far the best math teacher I have ever had.

Amazing teacher! Even if you have to rearrange your schedule, she is a must-take teacher. She is crystal clear when she is explaining things and will not move along until everyone is on board. Test reviews are almost identical to the test. You will not be disappointed if you take her!

JUMP iS AWESOME! I am horrible at math and always have been! I took college algebra over the summer and was dreading it! But she made it fun and interesting!And was very helpful. Got off topic a little (she loves nascar. The quizzes you take are over the previous homework.. as in copy numbers 1..5..7.. etc. Do your homework! It's worth it

I friggin love Jump! The funniest most exciting math teacher i have ever had. She uses analogies that make you laugh but make sense. She really cares about her students, and is always around for extra help. If i was gonna get in a fight, I know Jump would have my back, and I would have hers. I love Jump!

SHE IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER I'VE EVER BEEN WITH! You'd be really crazy if you passed up on taking her class. I REAALLYY RECOMMEND HER! This is probably the only class I look forward to attend evrday. Good teacher that is willing to help. I took her class during the Spring so we had to use a website called coursecompass to do everything but the tests. Coursecompass is awful but brandy is awesome. Take the online course of hers if you can(no coursecompass)

She is an AWESOME teacher, best math teacher I've ever had and we've only been in class 3 weeks so far. She make sure everyone understands everything before moving on, is very open to questions& funny! Highly recommend taking her for ANY math course she teaches!

Jumper is the best! I was fortunate enough to have found her on RMP and took her MATH 1314 summer class, BEST DECISION EVER. I recommend Jumper if you struggle with math and want a teacher who actually cares about math and her students. There are no stairs in Lubbock :).

All the previous reviews are correct. Jumper is wonderful. I have not taken a formal math class in over 17 years, she made me feel relaxed, and encourages questions from the class. She is so funny, and goofy which makes time fly by.Best math teacher ever!!!!

Very helpful and she breaks it down!!! I took this class with Normita Blakenship and failed retook with Jumper and my lowest test score was an 82. She's verrrrry good at getting it across to you!!!! She teaches you how to use the calculator wich helps a bunch!

I am in my junior year and Jump is BY FAR the BEST prof Ive had so far!!! She deeply cares about her studenst and wants everyone to learn and succeed. Jumper is a great teacher. She doesn't mind explaining things until the class gets it. She provides a clear timeline and gives ample warning for tests and quizes. I will be taking her for College algebra. She is funny and makes the class time go by quickly. She should be given more credit classes to teach

She talks way too much, about herself. The class IS EASY but she gets annoying when she starts laughing at her own jokes & thinks she is funny but it's pathetic. I WOULD recommend her for quality of material coverage. She gets pissed off about cell phones and headphones. She seems immature for her age, so some of you kiddos might fit right in

for College Algebra- this was pretty easy!! i took her for summer and she was real cool- talked alot off topic, but the class wasnt hard and there wasnt too much homework! her reviews were just like the tests! and often times she gave us hints on which would be on the test! :) would DEFINATELY take her again!

Take Jumper! That's my advice for anybody who needs to take College Algebra. I was dreading this class more than anything, and with Jumper, it has actually been a good experience. I took her for Summer I&III class.The first test was easy.The 4th test&the Final was the easist.I only wish that she would teach Math 1316, as well as other higher math level classes, since I would take her again!!Also I like the quality of notes that she writes it makes so much sense!As for the other comments about her it's true!

Best professor I've ever had, I was terrified of math before taking Jumper but took her for 305, 310, and 1314 and did really well. She has plenty of "Jumperisms" to help you remember things and she shows you multiple ways to approach solving a problem so you can decide what works best for you. Tests are not extremely hard if you do your work.

funny jokes every day, quotes movies and shows. tests are over notes that she gives in class, shows up to her classes early and writes her lecture problems on the board then does all of them that she can, doesn't always finish (only if there are a lot of questions asked). gives you formulas during and allows you to ask her questions during the test

I had been struggling with math for two years. Finally passed my TSI and enrolled in her class because I read her reviews on here. Everyone was right! Shes AMAZING! I finally passed math thanks to her!! She explains really well and is always reminding you not to give up. I would definitely take her again if I needed more math in my degree.

Jumper was a great teacher. Took summer course and got a good grade. She gives quizzes on homework at the beginning of each class. Goes through material to make sure you understand and responds to emails quickly. She is also available to go over any questions, quiz, test, or lab material before class.

Fall 2015- Math 1314; She is totally awesome, her class is definitely not boring. If you participate in class , do your homework and come to class . You will pass. If you have questions she will help you during business hours & after class, the choice is yours if you really want to do well in her class.

She's an absolutely amazing teacher who is always energetic and enthusiastic. She's very approachable and always willing to help you out. She'll even help you out on tests, too. I am Math-challenged. Always have been. I've been taking developmental Math for almost 6 years. Jumper has been the only professor that explained math in a way that i could actually understand. The light bulb finally turned on! I made a B in a class that i normally would have had to re-take because i failed it the first time. TAKE HER CLASS!

Shes super easy and hilarious!!!! Would definitely take her again! Homework is not mandatory. Tests are graded within a day and posted. Class is easy. Good teacher. Gives so much extra credit. Super chill. Her class sometimes goes over the time limit. Shes pretty. Makes the tests. Just pick her, I promise you will love her. Easy A just dont skip!

She's fabulous when it comes to explains assignments in detail. She uses multi colored markers to show you step by step how things are done. Not much given for extra credit. Only grades labs and tests so grades are weighted heavily. She's very direct and can be a bit snippy but over all knows her material.

Never have I ever made higher than a C in a math class. With her help, I got an A+. She really does want you to pass & will help you reach your goals. Homework is optional, but do it. She asks for feedback with every problem so you do not get lost & relates it so well to real life. Take Jumper & do the work, there is no reason you won't pass.

Loved taking Jumper as my professor. I had taken a math class before with someone else and I had failed it but with Jumper, she actually made the work interesting and made me look forward to coming to class. She can have a small temper sometimes, but then again we had an 8:30 am class. Would highly recommend her for any math course.

I had to take her class my first semester of college for a remedial class. She is very good at turning students who aren't math people into math people. Trust me, I was one of them. I would absolutely take again. Very generous grader. Tests are like the review. Jumper always makes sure students understand material before she passes the test out.

Calculus is a very hard subject but she is willing to help as much as she can. She is always in her office hours and is so nice and loves the subject. She teaches the content in different ways because everyone has a different learning style. She offers a lot of extra credit!

Professor Jumper was AWESOME. I was super nervous about this class but she made things very clear. The labs were the toughest part for me (12 labs) She gives lots of extra credit opportunities that can be applied to test grades so take adavantage of that! The final was cumulative which was a lot to shove into one test in my opinion. Overall awesome

Professor Jumper knows her stuff, and makes sure you know it too. As long as you show up to class, listen to lecture, do the homework, and do the labs, you will get a good grade. She makes sure you get the most out of class time by pre-writing all of the notes so all you have to do is print them out before class. You don't have to memorize formulas

I absolutely loved Jumper! She cares so much about her students and her job. If you pay attention in class, take good notes, and do the homework you will succeed in this class. If you choose to skip class and not pay attention, you will not do well. I was very pleased by Jumper, and highly recommend taking her class (must try hard though) :)

I think Jumper is a good prof but she talks too much, wasting valuable class time. She gets on to us if we don't respond to her, even if it's something obvious. To get a good grade you HAVE to show up and put in effort. It is NOT an easy class. That's not her fault. We do use the textbook, but only for hw, and you can get it super cheap

I took 1324 in fall and 1325 in spring, for reference I am not strong in math and made a B in both classes. Classes are lecture oriented with note templates that you print off and bring to class to fill while she teaches. She truly cares about her students and is willing to put in the time. Tests and labs make up majority of grades.

I don't know where the negative reviews are coming from. It is College level math, she teaches things the way she feels is easiest to learn, & tries to keep you engaged with humor. I took her online during quarantine, recorded lectures, homework, 12 labs, 4 tests, & exam. Honorlock required for exam only. Just put in the effort & go to office hours

COVID-Changed to online. Shes Funny, She is fair and gives you second chances to improve scores on Tests and Labs. The subject (Calculus) is hard but if you follow her lectures, take notes and really do the homework you should do fine. Be organized because you will reference old notes to solve problems. Use MyMathLab "help me solve this examples"

Jumper is an amazing Professor. She has a great sense of humor and will stay with you in her office for as long as it takes to get all your questions answered AND THEN shoot the breeze. She is a solid choice for Algebra and Calc.

IF YOU STRUGGLE WITH MATH SHE IS YOUR PERSON. Such an amazing lady that cares about her students. She will work with you and is very passionate about teaching. Although I was confused most of the time, I still passed. she does have homework on every chapter and they will take you some time, but overall not a bad class, she was so upbeat at 8:30 in the morning. Also if you are not a morning person, I would recommend not taking this class at 8:30 am lol

Professor Jumper explains math in a really simple way that's easy to follow. She's patient, organized, and always willing to help if you don't understand something. Her class is very fair and she genuinely wants students to succeed.

This professor is one of the best I have had throughout my whole education. I took an online class, gives all lectures, answer keys, and notes. All assignments and tests are on Pearson w/o honorlock except final exam. I had to have an unplanned surgery during this course, and she was so kind and caring, no worries about coursework! She is amazing!
