I think it's unfair to say that he's a bad teacher. He may not be clear at times but he really tries to help students. It's just the department is doing this study with two kinds of physics classes and unfortunately he is limited by what the study is making him do.

IMO, it's the physics dep. that is horrible (at lower level courses, at least). He read directly off Dworzecka's slides, but I have a feeling the dep. wanted him to do this since they were comparing courses. Tests were pretty hard as well w/ some huge curves at the end of the class. He could use some improvement by making his own material, etc.

I don't think it was his fault that his teaching was bad. The physics department was doing a study on the lower-level classes so the professor was limited in how he could teach. He's very smart and funny, but only reads off the slides. Read the book. Tests were hard. Doesn't give back tests on time so if you want to review off it too bad.

I absolutely hated this class. Djordjevic does a terrible job explaining material because everything is "trivial". He looks down on students. If everything was so trivial, why would he have to curve the first exam by 18% and the second exam by 30% - just to get a 70% average in the class? Even if I end up failing, I would never consider retaking it

Lectures are hard to follow, and takes forever to respond to things. Exams are only 3 problems though you get partial credit. Take a different professor if possible unless you're fast learning on your own. Barely any room for error. You might need ai for homework, and make sure you complete the homework because you need it for your grade.

Professor does not give any help and shames you for not knowing how to do something. He also expects you to come to class with knowledge of what we will be practicing which is fine except he doesn't post anything to help and the textbook is Pearson so it is horrible and not helpful. Do not take him.

Everything about this guy and his class is wrong. Does not let students know what the class average was for exams because it's that bad and fights for his life to not curve. Do anything to avoid this man. Take it with another professor, get a valid excuse to take it at NVCC, or pull strings from someone with godly forces, because it'll be worth it.

Overall Professor Djordjevic is ok at best. He does sometimes tell funny stories but that's about it. If you take him without recitation section you have the learn the material by yourself. I WONDER WHY I PAID JUST SO HE DOESNT TEACH US THE MATERIAL. He expects you to come to class knowing the chapter already. His accent sometimes throws me off.

The man himself. If you do the work, and you do it well, he is a great professor. I would highly reccommend not doing the homework assignments as your main way of understanding the material. Make your own problems off of youtube videos and work on those first to get an idea. Remember Homework counts for points. And it is a big percentage here.

Almost all the negative comments about him are true. He is a lousy professor who cannot teach. The exams were of average difficulty but only had three questions. I used the homework and the practice problems we did in class as a review before the exams. At most, one exam problem was from the homework or similar to it. Horrendous.

Physics 260 is significantly harder than 160, with more theory and less visual problems. Djordjevic's teaching approach made it worse: tight schedules, no TAs, ineffective lectures, and harsh grading with no curve or extra credit. Exams covered too much with too few questions, leaving students overly reliant on homework and recitation for passing.

Study material completely outside of the lectures and pray for a end of year grade curve.

Overall, this professor is quite good, and you'll learn a lot of physics. However, if your fundamental math skills are weak, you may struggle. The students who complain about him are likely struggling with math, so perhaps the issue lies with their math background and logic skills rather than the physics professor. Tesla sucks!

Djordjevic doesn't introduce concepts very effectively, so you need to spend a lot of time reading the textbook and doing your own practice. The homework can be quite difficult and requires a decent understanding of the concepts that you don't get from the lecture. Students have to rely on recitation to do well in the class.

If this is your last physics class, he's a great pick. The man has skipped multiple tricky subjects because "I don't want to teach you this." However the homework can be tricky to complete but there's usually some place online that can help you out. If you can understand how the homework, exams will go well as they are very similar to HW questions.
