Great guy. Hard class. Not his fault.

First of all, this class is more of a time-consuming one than a "hard" one. Lecture focuses primarily on the field of Operations Management and Data Analysis. Obviously, this broad topic range involves lots of unfamiliar terms and ideas that count in hundreds. If you do not catch up with your assigned reading, YOU ARE going to get hurt.

Brant is a really awesome guy, but the class sucks. These lectures are honestly such a waste of time. K201 is ALL about the lab. You can skip the lectures all you want with minimal affect of your grade. And DONT read the book unless you want to waste your time.

Brant is awesome. I am taking his class now. This course itself is not that hard than I heard about it. It is just a little time-consuming. You just follow what he teaches in class and do your homework on your own. You will be fine on this course. Also, his lab check is pretty easy. So, choose Brant!

Brant is a great instructor! His directions are very clear and if you show up early to class he always is able to help you out with any questions. Just go to class! He makes a time-consuming class so much easier!

Brant is very knowledgeable. He keeps the class interesting and fun, adds a bit of humor, and rarely uses all of the allotted class time. The only complaint is how well informed of assignments the students might be.

Brant is a great guy! He is easy to talk to and is very understanding. He has been the best professor I have had at IU since I have been here since 2009. The class is very useful even if you aren't a business major. Well, the lecture is not but you have to go becasue you get extra credit and 1/4 of the grade comes from the lecture.

He makes a difficult course fun and interesting! He's still young, so he's really easy to relate to. He also has a good sense of humor! If you take K201 I'd recommend you taking it with him.

Brant is hilarious. I don't mind attending this class at all, though he does get a bit dull at times. He is beyond helpful (I email with questions and get quick responses nearly 100% of the time). I got a low B on the first exam, though he made me feel as if I would get a 100%. Not sure if this was due to his teaching method or my studying method.

Brant is the man. Definitely the best K201 online lecturer the Kelley School of Business has at its disposal. He's hilarious, articulate, and is a great teacher. I highly recommend picking him for your online lecture.

Brant is awesome -- he's always available for consultation through email and Twitter, and when you ask him questions in person, he's quick and to the point. Super nice guy, although he's definitely got a raunchy, sarcastic edge too, so be ready for that. As for his lectures, they're paced extremely well and are very clear about explaining things.

Attendance isn't mandatory but you better not miss a class. K-201 is one of the hardest classes you'll take as a freshman there's no getting around that but he's able to make the class pretty fun, I actually enjoyed going to his classes.

Great energy and enthusiasm, is definitely well-respected by students. Expectations were clear from the start, very straight forward! Attendance for online lectures was mandatory to receive attendance points as well as extra credit points with participation.

Brant is a very cool guy and I always looked forward to his online class. His sense of humor is a little raunchy and he can relate well to his students. The class itself is a little challenging, but not terribly bad if you keep up with the work (don't let people tell you otherwise). I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Professor Moriarity is one of the best K201 teachers you can have at Kelley. He is hilarious during lectures and knows his stuff. K201 requires a lot of work and there is no way around it, but Professor Moriarity explained the material well and I would definitely recommend him to others and take him again if I had the chance.

As a peer tutor for this course, I've seen many different teaching methods and personalities, but Brant Moriarity is by far the best BUSK201 lecture. He explains very complex material in a simple, understandable way. Although very sarcastic, he cares about his students and goes out of his way to help them succeed in and out of the classroom.

At the end of the day, Brant is a great professor. He is my lab instructor, and I love his class. He is a great teacher and I laugh at least once a class. He's available, and very helpful during class. K201 can be really hard, but if you have to take it, make sure Brant is your discussion instructor.

Being a Freshman going into a class that has the reputation that K201 has can be terrifying, but luckily Brant was my professor so it made it all the better. He is such a great instructor. The material itself is boring but he makes the lecture sounds interesting. He gives great examples to make people to understand the concept better. Brant is so nice. If you listen and take notes for the lecture, plus do the quizzes before, you're golden. I wish I would have had him for lab. I had him for lecture and got an A in that section but got a B- in lab.

Brant is extremely knowledgeable over the content we learn in class, and is also a great teacher and keeps class engaging and he is HILARIOUS! He doesn't tolerate slacking so you're always encouraged to be doing your best work and working as hard as you can, which is a good thing. Take his section if you can!

O.G. Moriarity is the best K201 teacher you can get. The man will have you solving Queries like Kobayashi puts down hotdogs. Funny and great with a computer. Not much more you can ask for out of a K201 teacher.

He has the incredible ability to teach what is felt as a difficult course is ways that are easier to understand, explain the concepts, and sometimes enjoyable. He knows what he is talking about, he's nice, funny and there to help when one needs it. He is what most teachers should strive to be like.

He was a very good professor wish i did not have him for online because it could get kind of dry what we were learning but you can tell he always tried to make it interesting on the subject at hand.

The best lecture professor. He is hilarious and keeps your attention but also stays on topic and explains the topics. It helps a lot to do the optioned hw and pay attention in the online lecture. He basically created the whole computer in business classes so he can answer anything, using MIS access or excel.

As a senior at IU, Brant is in my top 3 fave profs of all time. He will push you to succeed in class but will always provide you with the resources you need to be successful. He also has a lot of enthusiasm about the topics so you won't get bored because he makes it interesting & easy to follow. Professor Moriarity was a ray of hope in a tough class. K201 is a very difficult class for many students at IU, however with Professor Moriarity taught the class with an overwhelmingly positive attitude, and even made the class enjoyable. His attitude made the class not only bearable but often enjoyable. He was also very helpful during office hours.

I was really worried about taking this class but Brant made it so simple to understand and fun. He's always available to answer questions in class and help you out--but he will roast you while he does so. He's very blunt with a good sense of humor and knows what he's doing. A great guy overall

I had brant for both K201 lab and lecture and I am happy with how the course went. K201 requires a lot of work, no matter the professor, and brant was able to make the hard work at least bearable. His lectures both in-class and online were filled with important detail so make sure you pay attention and not just daze off.

Brant Moriarity can be described in one word: Awesome. He's hilariously witty, insanely knowledgeable about music, and truly cares about his students.

As long as you show up to class and follow along you'll be fine. Brant definitely won't do you any special favors, but if you're willing to put in the work, then he will be more than willing to help you. There are also lecture exams, just skim the textbook and you'll do fine but don't wait until last minute.

I would highly recommend taking Moriarity for your lab section of K201. He makes dry material as interesting as possible and is pretty funny during class. If you don't do the work (knowledge checks, reviews, and discoveries) then don't expect to do good. If you put the work in then expect to end up with a good grade. No doubt best K201 teacher.

Brant is a prof you have and still remember years later. I took K201 last semester, dropped, came back, and he still remembers me! He takes the time to recognize his students and make them feel human. I didn't take his lab, but his online lectures are hilarious and something I look forward to watching. He does the impossible: makes K201 fun!

K201 is notorious for being a hard freshman class but Brant does his best to make the material fun for his students. I had him for lab class and he was able to simplify tough subjects so that all students could understand. He offers tons of office hours and will make sure you understand the material. My FAVORITE professor of freshman year. Not only is he an amazing teacher, if you are still having trouble on homework you can message him pictures of your work on Snapchat to ask questions and he'll respond within 10 minutes. Great sense of humor, even with half of our semester being online due to the plague. He makes you want to show up to class.

One of the best professors I had this semester. Although attendance is not mandatory, he makes you want to attend class and pay attention. He is very funny and replies quite quickly. Totally recommend having him, especially during these times.

Brant made lectures over a typically dry topic much more enjoyable. He is very funny and very passionate about what he teaches. It may be difficult to keep up with handwritten notes during lectures, but slides are posted beforehand.

Brant Moriarity was a super enthusiastic and honest professor. Having no outside experience with Excel or Access, I really went into this class knowing nothing. He responds to emails and questions super quickly, and was accommodating when asked for an extension. GP's took hours to complete, so prepare for that before taking the class.

I went into K204 nervous and not knowing anything, and he helped me GREATLY by providing clear instructions and pre recorded videos, giving constant and available help when needed, and always motivating students.

By far my favorite teacher. He is very passionate about what he is teaching and makes the online classes way more engaging than other classes. The class itself has a lot of work, but it is very easy if you are able to follow directions well and pay attention to details. Weekly homework: 2-3 interactive video lectures, 1 project, and group work.

I really enjoyed his class and I think he is an exceptional teacher. He's always available outside of class and communicates really well. My only critique is that he seemed to make a lot of untrue assumptions on my work ethic but overall was a really great teacher and helped me learn a lot!

I took his K204 class. This is the greatest professor Ive ever had. He is super engaging and give help whenever needed. All around an amazing professor. Lots of work given (as like any other K201/K204 class) but he really makes the class enjoyable.

He is seriously the best professor ever. I had K204 online because of coronavirus and I do not know how I would have done it if he wasn't my professor. He was always available to help me and called me many times one on one just to help me understand something more. He is super enthusiastic about teaching and makes a super hard class a lot more fun!

If he wasn't so good at his job, I'd recommend he quit and become a comedian. Great guy, great teacher. Super super accessible outside of class (replies to Teams messages at 12:30am). If you take K204, the group final project is the last month of class and self-paced. He is so supportive of anyone who is willing to work for what they want.

I had him for the lecture section of K201 and Brant Moriarity is simply the best. He makes the learning environment so fun. You should still read outside of class, but his lectures cover almost everything. Although K201 can be boring, he makes it fun somehow! Nothing but good things to say about him.

Brant is the literal goat. He will help you any time of day or night. He really cares that his students understand the material and tries to be as accessible as possible to them. Moriarity is easily one of the best profs at Kelley. Not only is he super engaging during lectures and teaches a hard class incredibly well, but also genuinely cares about all of his students. During the case competition, my group worked with him outside of class and he was incredibly helpful. Definitely take K201/K204 with him if you can.

Professor Moriarity always found a way to make class interesting although the subject of databases can be quite repetitive and boring. His lectures were extremely informative. Professor Moriarity cares about his students and their success; he is very open to meeting with his students outside of class and responds to messages almost immediately.

He is a fantastic professor that explains all concepts thoroughly and is always open to questions. I learned an incredible amount from this class even with it being online. His lectures always held my attention due to the jokes and energy he brings when teaching. If he ends up being an option for K303 I will definitely be taking his class.

Professor Moriarity has been one of the best instructors I have had throughout my academic career. While the course material can be challenging at times, he comes to class every day with a smile and checks in on any students who are struggling. Although attendance is not mandatory, the class definitely does not make sense if you don't go. With Brant as the professor, he makes the class easy to follow and fun to attend. There is definitely a lot of work to go with this class, and some of the concepts can be a bit more challenging, but Brant is really good at explaining things. Professor Moriarity is legitimately the best professor I've ever had, and I am not exaggerating. He's incredibly available outside of class, makes the lectures very enjoyable, and often finishes material very clearly and ahead of schedule. K204 isn't always easy, but Moriarity is the best at what he does. No complaints whatsoever!

BEST k204 professor. Such a funny guy who is honestly there to help you out. There is a lot of outside work but its more bc of the course and not him. Really good at explaining and teaching you excel and access. Made going to class a lot more fun and used class efficiently, sometimes ended early.

Professor Moriarity took a required class that is feared by the majority of the students, and made it enjoyable. While I would not consider the class to be easy, he was an excellent teacher, who clearly wanted all of his students to succeed. You'll have to do a good amount of work, and put in some effort, but Brant makes the class so much better.

He is someone who genuinely cares about each of his students, and he makes learning this course significantly easier. He gives us the opportunity to resubmit assignments and gives extensions if a valid reason is given. Even though learning about computers can be boring, Brant makes it engaging and fun because of how funny he is.

Hands down best professor to take for K204. Lectures are very helpful and Brant clearly cares about his students. The course is quite a bit of work, however, that is not to the fault of Brant. Attend class and keep up with the work and the A is easy to get.

K204/K201 is a challenging course. Moriarity puts you in a position to succeed. He's practical, quick with his lectures, and is very accessible. Would heavily recommend to take K204/K201 with Morarity.

Brant is literally the most amazing K204 prof. If you can take his class, DO IT! He makes a hard subject seem so easy. Everyone in his classes typically get >80% on exams (if you pay attention in lectures and do the work). I've only been at Kelley for a couple months but I already know Brant is going to be one of my all-time favorite professors!

Professor Moriarity is the best professor. He is hilarious and extremely helpful. Attendance is mandatory if you want to understand the material but he makes the class worth attending! K204 is challenging but he knows his stuff!

Brant was an amazing professor and was always available for help! I highly recommend taking K204 with him because you will be so much ahead of those taking k201. You take the same exam as those in K201 so taking K204 will put you far ahead of them and you will probably do so much better on the exams. I love Brant! Take any class you can with him!

Brant is the best professor I've had so far in my freshman year. The class is hard, but that's the same for all K204 classes, their assignments are all the same. Brant is a super funny and caring guy, I hated the class material but he made me excited to show up to class. If you are set on taking K204 instead of K201, I high recommend Brant.

Brant is a great professor. He is a good guy who really cares about his class and his students- not to mention he's super funny and engaging during his classes. He'll give you all the help and materials you need to succeed, all you have to do is actually apply them and put in the work. He is super accessible and has an awesome taste in music.

I took K204, and Brant was my favorite teacher I've ever had. If you are thinking about taking K204 or K201 and have the option to have Brant for K204, do it! I was excited for class everyday because he knows how to keep the class engaged. Just make sure you pay attention in class and try not to go on your phone, or you'll miss valuable info.

His lectures are incredibly helpful, he makes every class fun and engaging, and truly cares about each student. He is the type of professor to wave to you outside of class, I HIGHLY recommend his class.

He entertains you through some of the most bland topics known to man. Very friendly but will hold you accountable. Make sure to show up to class with your work done beforehand, the class is a grind but is pretty easy.

Brant is the best K204 professor you can get. Explains things very well and has no problem helping students before, during, and after class. K204 isn't exactly the fan favorite class at Kelley but he does his best to make it fun and interesting for students.

Moriarity is a great professor that makes the most challenging and tedious freshman business class more enjoyable. K201 requires a great amount of work and studying regardless of the professor, but Moriarity makes the class so much easier with his explanations and humor. Would definitely get him if you can.

Brant is an amazing k204 professor. The course is extremely challenging, but he does a great job making confusing topics seem less daunting. He is interested in knowing his students and makes an effort to talk with them about life outside of the classroom. Highly recommend him for this course and any courses he teaches in the future.

Best K204 prof. He explains topics in a way that is understandable and you can tell he knows what he's talking about. He makes the class enjoyable because of his energetic and funny personality. K204 can be a difficult course but if you stay on top of the homework then it is manageable. He also does a lot of review leading up to the exams.

He's very good at explaining content and Access and Excel are super easy if you just pay attention in class and listen to everything he says. Attendance is not mandatory but GO TO CLASS or you're kind of screwed.

Prof Moriarity was by far my favorite professor from last semester. He was funny, engaged, and definitely had a passion for what he was teaching. His explanations and lectures were always very clear. As long as you do the work you will get an A.

One of my favorite professors/teachers ever. This class is not for the weak, but I promise you if you attend class, read the textbook, and do HW/Reviews, you will do well. Brant does an excellent job at making sure everyone understands the content. Also has exquisite taste in music, which he shares almost every day before class.

He is one of my favorite professors. I am not a computer or technology person, but he somehow made a computer class enjoyable and interesting. If you are going to take this class, take K204 with him, you won't regret it.

Hands down an amazing person that truly cares and ensures his students understand material. He's also very funny and caring. He met me over thanksgiving break to help me and make sure I had submitted my assignment correctly after receiving a zero for uploading the wrong assignment.

The lecture section of K201 is really light and Brant is always super passionate about what he's teaching. I only had to email him once but he responded that night and was glad to help me.

Even though you don't always have to just go to class and do the homework because it will make everything so easy to understand. This is an easy course if you do the minimum.
