Mr. Brickwedel is a fun and enthusiastic professor. He does seem to grade hard, but he gives honest and helpful feedback after each speech and encourages all of his students to speech conversationally. This is a performance-based class, so you must prepare well for your speeches and practice as often and frequently as possible. Highly recommend him

Good class, he was very clear and to the point. You get out what you put in. If you try, his constructive criticism will help you become a better speaker. If you do the minimum, you won't improve, but can probabally scrape a B or C. Make sure you study what he says is on the tests and you will be fine. In all, a very fun and useful class.

Great teacher, great personality. I was nervous to take this class, but he made it worth while. I had a 5:30 class and don't do well with night classes. His humor and upbeat personality made me rush to class to hear him speak and participate. You get what you put into the class. I never bought the book, did well on all speeches, and got an A.

I took his class super early in the morning. He tried to wake us up. It was fun and he is quite funny. He interacts with the students that does not involve school. The speeches are moderate (not easy, not hard). It seems like he actually cares about US! The intersting part, he took a picture of the students so he can remember everyone

Great Teacher. Clear objectives. You will be doing speeches. The Final is easy; the speeches are not for the faint. Textbook not neccessary. If you try your best, and strive to improve--you will get an A/B. He is fair and very likable.

TAKE THIS CLASS. I took his class this summer as a freshman & loved every minute of it. He is not only a great teacher, but a genuinly nice guy. Class started at 9am & by the time we got out i was wide awake thanks to his humor & ability to make you WANT to listen. prepare for your speehes & you'll easily get an A.

He is a great teacher you have to do 4 presentations, 1 midterm, 1 final. If you come to class you should do well! I got a B in the class. The only thing to keep note of is that his midterm and final are very confusing. I got all A's on my presentations, but a C on both test! But over all a great teacher would definitely take him again!

Awsome teacher, He's deffinately willing to help you improve on being able to speak infront of an audience and not make things stressful. Freedom to choose any topic you want to talk about. Will get with you after every speech and ask you how you did then tell you what you did good and what you need to work on for next time.AWSOME TEACHER!

Braze was such an awesome teacher. He truly helped me get over my fear of public speaking which is mandatory in my career field. I highly recommend taking his class because he's very fun, you'll learn a lot and enjoy coming to his class. Plus, he's not too hard on the eyes either!

You generally get out really early so make it your last class of the day. I got by using the book in the library. EASY A. (Also, supper hot which makes lectures no sweat)

Mr.B is such a cool & fun professor! He explains clearly about all what he expects with your speeches that you have to do. He gives you great feedback and helps you out with improving! Honestly, I could not have asked for a better teacher. Excellent. I absolutely loved this class and loved Mr.B. What an awesome guy. He genuinely cares about his students & is willing to work with you & your grade as long as you attend class & do your speeches. He grades fairly & is very clear in what he wants. I could not have asked for a better speech professor than Mr Brickwedel, he grades fairly and WANTS you to succeed. As long as you've practiced your speechs you should do fine in this class. Just be careful of the attendance policy, its worth a letter grade if you don't go. I would recommend this class to anyone needing to take it.

Wow! There is so much to say about Braze. AMAZING TEACHER! So helpful and gives constructive criticism on your speech but ALWAYS positive. He is so passionate and makes you want to be as well. This is one of those classes i dreaded, be prepared to stand in front of the class. It gets easier as you go along. Mr.B is a great teacher He makes it very clear on the assignments and continuously tells you what you're doing wrong so you can improve and what you're doing right. Easy A.

I took Mr. B's public speaking class during the summer. He made the class interesting and didnt overwhelm us with busy work. There were three speeches and one final exam. Awesome professor! I had a terrible fear of public speaking and I got an A. He wont fail you if you try.

Mr. B is the man. This speech class, which I DID NOT want to take, scared me to death. But Mr.B is so good at his job that I ended up looking forward to speeches. My only advice is to show some effort, he'll notice. Thanks, Mr. B! Hope I can find some professors like you at FSU!!! P.S. Don't miss class.

Mr. Brickwedel is a great teacher! Although speaking in front of people is scary, he makes you comfortable enough to be able to perform your speeches. Great teacher for a public speaking class. Public speaking is a harrowing subject for most people but he will make you and everyone else feel very comfortable to get up and speak. Most of the class is presentations. Tests? 3 of them and they are quite easy!

I took Mr. Brickwedel for Public Speaking and he is such an awesome guy. He makes lectures interesting and funny. He's completely down to Earth, and makes you feel so comfortable speaking in front of people. Anytime you need help or have a question, he's there for you. He's very clear on how he wants things and pretty specific on grading, too.

Class is an easy A, all you have to do is give a little effort. He rewards those who try with As. Class is fairly straightforward and grade hinges on in-class presentations. He has a midterm and final (both of which you get to do online with 3 attempts, so you're pretty much guaranteed a 100%) that are easy. Just don't disrespect him or others.

Braze is a great teacher and makes the class fun. Show up to class because it counts toward your grade and do not wait till the last minute to write and learn any of your speeches.

Prof B is the best. Took him and made a C, helped me with my public speaking. He has never been unkind to me. Can't believe last commenter made an A but complained about such a nice teacher who truly tries to help his students. Notice it's the only bad review. I wish all teachers at TCC were as great as he is. He really cares. You will love him!

Although taking a speech class may seem like the scariest thing ever, Mr. B makes it a very enjoyable and fun experience. After taking his class I feel very confident with my public speaking. Overall, he is a wonderful teacher who makes you feel comfortable with all your presentations and makes this course a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

I took him for public speaking, and his class is one of the only things i really remember about TCC. He pushed me very hard and graded everyone according to their own skill levels, just an awesome guy and an amazing professor.

Professor B hands down is one of the best Professors at TCC. I took him for the 6 weeks summer course and other than some of his jokes, his class was amazing!

Absolutely amazing guy. Class takes effort but it is so enjoyable. Definitely the most interacting professor i have ever taken. I took him for 1 day out of the week which was supposed to be a 3 hour class but ended up being 45 minutes every time. 11/10. He gives a huge grade at end of semester based off of your attendance.

Public speaking scares me to death, but Mr. B made everything at little less nerve-racking. He provided guidelines for each of our four speeches and ensured everyone understood what he was looking for. While he is very critical when it comes to feedback, it is only to better your future performances. Be respectful, he's always there to help!

Speech class.. scary i know. I am HORRIBLE at speaking in front of a large group of people. Thank god i got recommended to take professor B, because he is amazing. I took Professor B for Public Speaking and it was awesome. We almost always got out of class early, he is very easy to talk to about anything you want to talk about, and he helps students as much as he can prepare for their upcoming speech. I passed with an A and I am going to take him again for his Non Verbal Communication class.

I took him for speech class. My biggest thing was the actual speeches. Once you get the first one done, the rest are easy. Just remember to practice practice practice them!! My first speech i forgot halfway through and had to sit down.

Very organized. Caring professor and explains things clearly and repeats important information. Very strict on grading speeches. thats no joke. you cant just wing it in a speech. very inspirational professor and clear and organized with what is due and is willing to work one on one with students.

Professor B is the best professor I had at TCC without a doubt. I took his Public Speaking and Nonverbal Communication classes and loved them both. He makes you so become so confident in speaking in front of people and will help you any way he possibly can. Do yourself and your GPA a favor and sign up for one of his classes.

Such a good professor if you are not very comfortable with public speaking. There are not many speeches and he gives you plenty of time to work on them which is not demanding at all. Also lets class out when over which was super nice!

I had the hybrid class so we met once a week & you have to give 4 speeches through out the semester & you have online quizzes but other then that the class is super easy but it's not an easy A you can't just wing it on your speeches you have to spend time practicing your speeches or it'll hurt your grade. Great teacher! Is clear w/ his directions!

Honestly wish I could take Brickwedel for every class. He is by far the best professor I have ever taken. He is willing to put in as much effort as you are. He is easy to talk to very likeable and makes his class flow great and gives great feedback on your speeches. I literally wish his class lasted longer than a semester.

I took Mr. Brickwedel Fall 2018, his online class was straight tot he point, quiz every week unless speech was due that week. Total of 4 speeches due, if you are taking online you will have to record with 4 people in the audience and upload. He grades the speeches in less than 24 hours, he is very good at giving feed back.

Braze was my favorite professor at TCC. I was in his hybrid class, but I wish I took his regular class. Only four speeches, two informational, one invitational, and one persuasive. Follow all of his directions and you'll get an A for every speech. He has an amazing personality and gives great feedback after every speech. Definitely try and get him.

He's a wonderful professor who gives feedback on your speeches. The online quizzes are easy. There are 4 speeches you have to do, but don't do record your speech last minute because they do require practice. Uploading your speeches can be difficult, so don't upload them hours before the due time. If you need help he will respond right away.

Professor B was really fun to be around. He speaks with passion and has a way of capturing attention and moving his students. He has a great knowledge for communication both verbal and non verbal and gives great feedback. Overall very much enjoyed being in his class

This guy is the MAN lemme tell you!!! If you actually do every speech somewhat according to his guidelines youll pass with flying colors. The days I didnt show up to class (1/3 of the time) It was still 100% okay to him. Hes funny and actually interesting. Its almost like he turns into a student whenever he engages with his students. 11/10!!

Brickwedel was one of the best professors ive ever had. Public speaking was a big fear of mine and he helped me get over it. There are 4 speeches and if you do everything he requires you will get an A on them. There are 2 tests but they are super easy. Definitely recommend taking this class.

Loved Professor B we had four speeches easy speeches if you follow grading criteria, also we have a midterm and final he allowed us to take the final online and it was open notes

SUPER GOOD SPEAKER. Attendance matters but he's super easy to listen to. 1 Assignment, participation grade, 3 speeches, and a final. Beware there's only a few grades but his class was fairly easy and if i put more effort in i would've gotten a better grade.

I took this class online and it was the easiest class I have ever taken. It was pretty straightforward and I learned so much! There were 12 quizzes and all of them were multiple choice. You may come across a few short responses (2-3 sentences), but they are simple. You have FOUR speeches to do and they are pretty easy as well. I passed with a 90%

Public speaking has never been a strong suit of mine, but Professor Brickwedel made the class not only bearable, but enjoyable as well! As long as you participate, follow the rubrics given, and communicate with any questions/struggles you'll do very well in the class. I highly recommend taking his class if you're looking to knock out SPC2608!

He is a fair grader i never made below an B on my speeches

I had him via TCC live. DO NOT SKIP his class in person, asynchronous or tcc live. Gives 4-5 speeches for the entire semester, you earn your points talking in class. SPEAK up. Final is simple. 6 total assignments for the ENTIRE SEMESTER! Attend, speak and present well. Easy accessible outside of class

Mr. Brickwedel is a great professor and makes this class easy. He grades the speeches quickly and provides a lot of feedback. His grading gets harder throughout the semester but he provides feedback on how to improve each speech, so provided that you read it and fix your mistakes, it's an easy A. Grade is made solely of quizzes and your 4 speeches.

Great professor, and a great person. In class he normally ends class very short, he's a phenomenal professor with good lectures you just take notes on. His personality and good vibes makes the classes interesting. Very caring/helpful

Professor Brickwedel is the most relatable professor I have ever had. He really connects with every student. 75% of grade is off of the 4 speeches, with 15% for the easy final exam, and 10% for attendance. Easiest B you can get, but you have to work hard for an A. He's also an incredible speaker. Awesome professor and definitely recommend.
