Acor didn't really teach as much as take up 2 hours of time I could've been doing my math assignments. She gave horrible notes, reviews were non existent, no real organization, and tests were a joke. When 50% of the class fails a test a teacher needs to take more of the blame. Acor didn't even show up for the final "review" day.

I have never been so confused in my life as I was with this woman. She has you do math homework on the computer but then the tests on paper. Don't ask her for help, she'll just tell you that you are lazy and stupid.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Had her in the summer and she was useless. I did extremely well but it was not from her teaching, I study so hard because her lectures did not cover anything on the tests or the homework. Stay away from her at all costs.

Wastes class time with her philosophies on "problem solving" (would rather students learned material on own, without teacher assistance), very unwilling to help if you need it. Inconsistent grading. Avoid this teacher if possible!!!

Not prepared to teach how to teach. Very unorganized. Never clear in instruction. Expected you to already know what was being taught. Which would have been helpful because her teaching style is very unclear.

This teacher is awful. She nit-picks at every little mistake, puts her students down and is constantly pointing out how dumb her classes are. She only teaches to half the class, with her back to the other most of the time and her body in the way of the board. Avoid her like the plague! I am good at math too, I had to teach myself.

She was hard to understand and when we asked questions she would be upset. I am retaking the class with another teacher and doing great! I am a good student and this professor was very frusterating.

Professor Acor was not helpful at all. Made me feel very uncomfortable in her class. Graded way to hard in a REMEDIAL MATH CLASS!! She also cut out of the final test day early because she didn't want to waste her time there.

I'm sorry to say that the comments about Prof. Acor being rude when asked questions are true. I am in her 1010 class and don't ask questions unless I'm really stuck. Her method/tone is embarrassing and not helpful. She definately knows what she's doing but expects you to understand. Better to just pretend and wait for another teacher/tutor to help.

I took math 1010 so I had to go to hub and she was one of the tutors there often. I cringed every time she came to help me instead of another tutor. She was so rude and mean that I didn't understand and I was behind. She really didn't help me at all. Just got me frazzled and made it even harder to understand the questions after that.

Really disliked this Math Teacher. Felt that she was rude and just not helpful. She talks throughout the whole time and makes it difficult to do your assigments. She is a little rude and can sometimes make you feel like an idiot. I would reccomend a different teacher.

Mrs. Acor is not there to help students. She is very difficult to contact and does not keep her word. I asked her five times to open a quiz for me, so i could take it. She would not respond to emails or phone calls. Do not take from her.

Mrs. Acor was the worst math teacher I ever had. Every time I would ask her a question she would look at me like I was an idiot and would talk down to me constantly. Take my word don't take her class!!

Worst teacher. Treats the class like high school students, you HAVE to go to class or she calls you out in class. When you ask questions she doesn't even answer what you ask, so when you ask again she makes you feel dumb. I lucked out because this class was BEYOND easy for me she was just so irritating.

When you are sick she assumes you are ditching. When you email her she doesn't email you back but expects you to keep up communication with her. Would never ever take a class from her again. She always says to ask your neighbors for help when in reality they know as much as you do because she doesn't teach at all.

At Weber had a hand full of wonderful teachers that really cared about our success. This is not one of these teachers. the teacher missed class more then most students would talk down to all the students in my class making the class worse. The class was full at least 34 students first of the semester by the end only 9 student were left. Worst class

she talks too much about things that don't pertain to what we are learning, which makes what we are learning more difficult. She is open to meet and help after class, and claims that test scores are better when you do, but when you meet one on one, she gets angry when you have questions, and avoids answering your question. She can be very rude.

Very rude and inconsiderate she called me out and yelled at me in front of other students calling me Stupid and a cheater because I couldn't pass one of her quizzes. She then continued to talk about me (not using my name) in front of other classes. She is always late to class & gives no time to work on homework. do not take this course with her.

Easily the worst professor I've ever had and likely will have. What she teaches in class is not what is in the homework. She gives labs to work on in class quite often, which is a lot more similar to what will be on the test that the homework. She does not teach all of the material and when she does teach it. It is not taught very well.

Awful professor, I did very well in class. Towards the end of the semester Emailing her was a nightmare. She is rude and she is very unprofessional for someone who should be teaching. Not sure why youd work with students if your short with students? Dont expect much from this class.

If you have the option to not take this professor, don't. She refuses to teach some topics, because "you should already know it." She takes the first 30 minutes of class telling you that you need to study harder. She rants about how math is relatable in all aspects of life - when it isn't. It's also discouraging when she constantly makes mistakes.

Read straight out of the text book and is super critical on how you solved the problem and doesnt provide a lot of information on how she wants it done. I am really good at math and absolutely hate her class.

Regardless of life situation teacher won't give you time to do assignments or tests. Teacher is very strict on deadlines. If you were in a car wreck, death in the family, or hospitalization you still have to do assignments on time.

Teacher is very unprofessional. She will yell at you right in class in front of everyone. She doesn't tolerate guessing even if it's your best effort.

Unprofessional/unhelpful when answering student questions and would answer the questions rudely in front of the whole class. Spoke to the class in a very demoralizing way before tests. She went on rant's that weren't even specific to the lecture, wastes time with test reviews, cancelled class and flew through the next topics to make up for time.

She is a horrible teacher. After my experience with the other Math Profs she was a nightmare. If you can avoid this teacher, do so.

In this course, I felt very uncomfortable to ask questions because she would make you sound dumb. If you did something wrong she would make sure the entire class knew but not directly point you out. I just couldn't have waited to be finished with the course with this professor. I wouldn't recommend this professor at all.

Professor Acor is academically inappropriate. She calls out students in class and belittles them. Its her way or the highway. She doesnt take time to help students raise their grade, she would rather let them know when the withdraw date is. She isnt professional and makes a lot of mistakes during lectures and gets upset when students correct her

This professor told us every single day that we won't pass this class if it was your first time in the class. She was constantly tearing us down & telling us how hard the class was. It was a very negative environment. She messed up on examples all the time & the students had to correct her which was super annoying. Find a different professor!!!

Constantly messing up notes and doesn't teach half of what's on the homework so you're teaching yourself (was spending 4-6 hrs on HW that should have taken 1.5 tops). Constantly said everyone set themselves up for failure for not meeting her high/unreasonable expectations. Extremely stressful and makes you feel terrible, wouldn't ever recommend.

She is a terrible teacher. She is not prepared for class. She expects notes and "labs" to be printed, even in an online class. She hardly teaches any of what is on the homework, so I've had to teach myself almost everything. Of what she does teach, she does very simple problems, so when the homework comes, it is so hard to figure out.

She won't teach the full lecture. She only teaches the stuff she knows. A lot of it is done by yourself.

Spent a lot of time googling topics trying to learn on my own. Acor teaches at a very slow pace and spends unnecessary time on topics that don't even apply to the assignment. Speaking of assignments, they are ridiculously long and very repetitive. She takes weeks to put in test scores and always finds someone else to blame, its never her fault.

I had a hard time in this class

The teacher would never answer my emails when I needed help, and never did anything to teach the course. She is very homework heavy and constantly adds random assignments to the course, i.e. reading assignments and journaling. The homework takes 4+ hours per assignment when it should take 2 hours MAX. 0/10 do not recommend.

i reached out multiple times for help with multiple modules.. testing is accumulative, how are you supposed to remember all the formulas. found out two weeks before end of the semester that there was an easier class i could have taken for my degree. so frustrated

She was really hard to understand. Her lectures weren't the best and I would always have to google to figure out the lectures. She is VERY homework heavy. If it's not done you won't pass. You have to take notes her way and doesn't let you take your own notes. She is super big on attendance.

if you aren't naturally good at math, don't take her class. She assigns 3-4 assignments PER SECTION, keep your grades up or you won't be able to move on with the course. Doesn't respond to emails so I confronted her in class & she said she read it but didn't respond bc it wasn't worded how she wanted & seemed agitated! Withdrawing was a relief!!

She has not graded any assignments and is very stern on you passing your exams before you can do anything else. And if you try to email her about any questions or retakes she takes forever to answers and most the time answers as 5 in the morning. She made me redo a test 5 times and accused me of cheating on it the 2nd time.

I took this class as an online class, I have only taken online classes. This class requires an assignment EVERY SINGLE DAY! These assignments take 4+ hours/day. Quizzes weekly. Tests almost every week. Extremely difficult to pass. Do NOT take this class. Worst class ever! Teacher does not teach. Watch videos from the 90s. No help offered. Miserable

She gives out daily homework, weekly quizzes, and tests every other week. If you are struggling on any section and it takes you longer it is a nightmare to catch up. She discriminates against online students making them ask to retake tests and it takes her several days to open the new attempt. In the syllabus, it says you get 4 attempts, you don't

I would not recommend this Professor at all! She moves so fast, doesnt seem to care if someone doesnt understand something, and 1/2 the hw problems she doesnt cover. I was excited to take this class at first then was discouraged and my anxiety was through the roof after day one. I dread this class every week. If you can take from another do it!!

Has a policy that if you don't score a certain percentage on quizes, you can't do the proceeding homework until you achieve the score she expects. This happened to me once and I was docked 30% for turning in the homework late that she locked me out of. The problems on tests are much harder than the homework and test reviews.

This professor is terrible! She said I missed 2 days, (I only missed 1 because I checked my attendance) and caused me to get a whole 2 units behind. She is not understanding of out-of-school issues (work, marriage, life) and demands that you devote SO MUCH TIME to math and studying. She talks down to you and tears you down, speaking so demeaningly.

Worst Professor I have ever had while at Weber. She expects everyone to do everything her way. Doesnt explain anything she just says what shes writing down. She claims to work with students thats not true at all. I am very high risk and she wouldnt even work with me. To stay safe and keep others safe as well. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

This professor gives out extreme amounts of homework and notes, and she doesn't even teach the subject. She gives you videos of other people explaining it, and just expects you to understand it for yourself. She has assignments and notes planned for every single day, so if you get behind for even just one day, you're screwed. Horrible class.

This class was so hard! I am good at math and have never needed a tutor and I can catch on quickly. However, I struggled just in the first 2 weeks of this class. She did not go over everything that we needed to know for our homework and told us we just need to take what we know and figure it out or get a tutor. Why am I paying for this class then?

No test reviews, even for the final. Answer key for exams is not given after the exams. Review days for tests are subpar at best, she just rambles. Mountain of hmwk and her lectures are just so sloppy, no structure in this class. Save your money and take this with another teacher.

Worst professor I have ever had! She rambles about everything but math. She goes off memory for math problems that never solve in lecture. She preaches about not making careless mistakes but in lectures constantly makes mistakes corrected by students. She is terrible at grading and will accuse you of not turning things in.

There's 9 quizzes, 5 tests and 1 final exam. On top of guided notes, and homework. She isn't helpful when it comes to additional help or linking resources to help YOU. Doesn't account for real-life scenarios or situations where you may not be able to take a test. Refuses to accommodate for disabled students. You'd be looking at 15+ hours for this.

The class is found in 3 different sources accessible by email, a separate website, and canvas. The main homework program is riddled with programming errors along with assigning several hours of homework each night. There are guided notes, problem lists, writing assignments, quizzes, practice tests, and real tests. Not a 4 credit hour class at all.

Lots of homework! I would recommend taking from a different professor to ensure you understand better. She does not teach you! You watch lectures from the 80's that don't explain anything.

Ok, this was my first really bad experience with a math instructor. Emails go unanswered, if they do email back, its one word responses or "go to tutoring". Videos are so old they are recorded in 4:3 aspect ratio. Videos had VHS streaks and horrible audio. I passed this class thanks to YouTube and drop-in tutoring. DONT take this course from Acor!

Not recommended as a professor for math. She is a heavy grader who uses outdated material. She shows no compassion or will to put in the effort to help students when they struggle within this class. Use another professor.

This professor was the worst I ever had at WSU. Brenda Acor did not only make her lessons difficult to understand, but she was rude and unhelpful if you asked for additional support. I dropped out of her class and lost money and time because of this professor. This lady humiliated me in her office when I went in to ask for help. Very dismissive.

Insane amount of coursework for a 1000 level math class. Late penalty on coursework that isn't even graded by the professor, it's all graded automatically. Completely missed a teams meeting to assist with classwork. Slow to respond to emails. Lack of compassion.

Completely unresponsive to emails, and so hard to work with. She is very rude and demeaning when I have tried to get further clarification on assignments. Especially do NOT take her online classes. Please avoid at all costs!

Very unprofessional with how she talked to me. I was super sick during her semester and she degraded me for it. Yelled at me day of an exam because I was on pain pills for surgery. She would blow up my phone and ask if I was even going to pass the test and if it was even worth taking for me. only professor that actually brought me to tears

DO NOT take this class if you have a job unless it it the only class you are taking. Syllabus claims 10 hours of homework a week. Try 12-16 if you don't perfectly understand the material first go around. MASSIVE late penalty for things she does not even grade. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS

DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE CLASS. There is lots of homework and if you don't pass a quiz or test, you can't move on until you do, it makes you fall behind easily. I was over two weeks behind on a test and she would say multiple times that we were meeting on zoom and proceeded to not show up! She does not care if you are failing her class.
