this class is soo easy, she makes it so simple! she explains really well and would make a great upper level chem or math teacher. She'll make science apply to your every day life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, however, if you already know bio really well, you may get bored.

I had her for the Fall '07 semester and she was AWESOME! I hated BIO in HS but she made it fun and interesting and I ended up with a B in the class.

OMG!! I can't beieve 6/13/08. I was in the same on-line class. We only met 5 times on campus so Mrs H. had an attendance policy. Everyone got to miss 1 lab. If you missed more than that, you were encouraged to withdraw or you would fail the class. That policy was for EVERYONE. 6/13 thought she should be the exception to the rule? Mrs. H rocks!

Had her biotech on-line class last summer. It was my first on-line class and it was actually enjoyable. Her assignments were very reasonable and there were no surprises. She even made video tutorials and discussed every single lecture note! Great on-line course to take. She sets you up for success. Met her on campus once, she seemed sweet.

This is my second try at bio 100. My first time around i had a different teacher than Mrs Hunzinger. What a difference a teacher can make. Mrs H is great! She wants u to love the subject as much as she does. u have to study but its not to bad. I wish I had her my first time around. She's a little crazy, but in a fun way.

Mrs. Huntzinger was an amazing teacher. She was very helpful, and would answer any and every question that you had. I took her online BIO 100 class, and I still learned so much even thought I only saw her on lab days. Very good teacher, I would recommend her to anyone!

SHE IS THE BEST! No homework other than labs. She knows how life can be and so she doesn't make attendance mandatory but will occationally give out extra credit quiz's if attendance is low.

What a dream! This teacher was so amazing! I was just coming back from Afghanista, and she was so incredibly helpful and understanding. It sure made the transition easier. I loved her! So helpful, easy to understand and thorough! Very enthusiastic and positive! Just quizzes, tests, and labs!! No ridiculous busy work!

i fell in love with her the first day of class! she is a great teacher, and she cares!i always looked foward to going to class, she kept it interesting, be on time to class and its fairly easy to get a decent grade(she is very tough on tardiness)

AWESOME teacher. Doesn't make attendance mandatory cause she knows things come up. No homework other than lab days. "Extra Credit" on low attendance days. She made the class fun and interesting. Definately take her if you have the chance

I took the on-line BIO 160 course. Everything was listed that we had to do. I liked that. She even made time for me on campus at the beginning of the semester when I had trouble with the whole on-line concept. I liked that she didn't make me feel stupid. She is very patient and understanding. I liked her upbeat personality.

Hunzinger is Fabulous. She truely cares about her students and has a passion for her work. She inforces the basic rules with a even level of respect for everyone. She is always helpful and clear in her teachings. It seemed as if her mission was to educate her students and show them it can be fun. Rockin Teacher!!!

I took a Biotech class with Mrs. H, and it was the best online course I ever had. It was easy to surf the course and I always knew what was due and when it was due. No guess work needed! She kept in touch every day and she welcomed our questions. Her video tutorials were very helpful. If you never had an online class, take Mrs. H.

She was a very good teacher and is willing to help you even if its something that she isn't teaching like chemistry. She is very well prepared in class too.

I loved taking her hybrid course! I wish all profs were like Mrs. H. I will be taking her other classes too. She is awesome.

I took Biotech In Society with Mrs. H. last summer. It was really easy if you studied and did the work. She expects everything turned in by the deadlines though. I'm taking her genetics class this summer. She is a great teacher.

She's a doll. If you put in the basic work, she'll make it easy for you. Great thing about her--she doesn't care if you're a science major or taking this as required for an unrelated major, she treats you the same. Be warned, a couple of the instructors play faves with sci majors.

Awesome teacher, very funny. Her online class, and video lectures are awesome. Answered all questions, willing to stay late and help out anybody with a question. If you put in effort you will do well in her class! I hope to have the opportunity to take a course with her again

I took her online class. Professor Hunzinger does absolutely everything in her power to make sure her students pass her class. She sets it up so there is no reason or excuse for failure. I however do not recommend this class to anyone over the summer unless it were your only class. It covers a lot and was kind of hard for me to juggle it.

Mrs. Hunzinger is the BEST college teacher I've had! I'm going back to school for a different degree and she is awesome. I've taken her BIO 160 and BIO 100 courses online, and they are by far the best online courses at Lakeland. She really cares about her students. Take her classes for a great college experience.

Mrs. Hunzinger is amazing. Not only is she super nice and funny but she truly wants everyone to do well. She tells you straight up what is expected and gives you all of the tools to succeed. You an take all test 2x! and she drops the lowest one at the end of the semester! I loved her.

Brenda Hunzinger was an excellent teacher! I took Biology in high school, barley passed and absolutely hated it!. I was dreading having to take it again in college, but surprisingly it is my favorite class. She is always clear on what is expected and how you will be graded. You also get to take each exam twice. I would take no other Bio teacher.

Mrs. Hunzinger was one of the best professors I have ever had. She makes important points in her lectures very clear and is just a great lady in general. She is very helpful when you ask questions and always seems happy to be at school teaching. GREAT CLASS.

Mrs. H. went out of her way to help me in the class. She came back to campus one afternoon just to review with me for a test. I loved going to her class. She seemed to have alot of energy and liked what she did. Take her class if you can.

Mrs. Hunzinger is incredibly understanding and helpful. All you have to do is ask! I took her online BIO 100 class so we met once a month on campus for lab. Lab was scheduled 8-1, but we usually left by 11. You WILL receive an A if you pay attention and take good notes.

A great teacher! She is very passionate about Genetics. Was always very willing to explain anything. If you EVER have any questions (if you don't understand a process, questions about your grade, etc) go to her office. She is very willing to help if you want a good grade. Tough grader, but not impossible. Overall I am very glad I took her class!

Brenda was an outstanding teacher. The class was a hybrid and she was very helpful anytime you had a question. She almost always got back to you immediately. Made lectures interesting when it could be a really boring topic. Do the work and its an easy A

She is a really smart person who knows what she is talking about. She would go out of her way to make sure that you understand what is going on in the course. I highly recommend taking one of her classes.

Great Instructor, talkative, fun

Mrs. Hunzinger is a very good teacher. I felt as if she always explained things very thoroughly so that it is easy to understand. Although her lectures can be kind of boring, as long as you put in the work on the labs and study for the test, you will be fine.

Prof. Hunzinger is very easily reached through canvas. She is always willing to help out if you are struggling. Her post labs are difficult, however, you get 2 chances on each unit test worth 100 points. It is not a difficult class if you study the material given.

Super simple class--just watch the videos with her voiceovers and take the online quizzes, tests, and small projects. Prior basic biology knowledge not necessary, but is very helpful.

She is the greatest, I took the hybrid course & she Lectured so that we not only learned the information but also remembered it. Their was plenty attempts at exams & quizzes. She really sets her students up to succeed but is also fair. I enjoyed this and loved her personality and information as well. She was open to questions and helping.

Students knew what was due and when it was due. She sent out reminders about things too. I want to take her other classes.

I took Intro to Genetics (BIO 160) as my first online class. Mrs. H. sent us emails about what we should be doing each week. I really liked that. She was great. The tests were tougher than the homework but I still got an A in the class. Her semester exam review helped alot. Study that for the final.

I took Intro to Genetics online. It's more than just working with Punnett squares. It dealt more with human genetics and diseases. I actually really liked that. I learned a lot. The class was structure really good too. Thanks Mrs. H.

She is one of the best teachers at Lake Land! The class itself was somewhat challenging and if you don't try or do your work then you will fail. She is a great teacher and explains things very well and helps you stay on task. It is quite a bit of information to learn, but she gives you all the material you need to succeed.

Mrs. Hungzinger's Bio 100 hybrid class was great! Such an amazing teacher with a lot of knowledge. The class is a little tough since there is so much to memorize, but she will do anything in her power to help you succeed. I recommend studying for the exam's using your note checks AND LECTURE VIDEOS! I would love to take a class of hers again :)

Dr. H is awesome! She is professional, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about her field of study. By far one of my favorite instructors. Study and pay attention to lectures and you'll do fine.

Mrs. Hunzinger is the teacher you want for online. All of my classes were put online because of covid 19. Hers was the best by far. Everything was easy to follow and she was there to answer questions fast if I had any. You can tell she really cares about her students. I will take her other classes too if I can.

I love her class! Mrs. H. sets it up so easy. As long as you just do the work on time, you should get an A. Most assignments get 2 or 3 weeks to get them done. Nothing very intense. She is there to help if you have any questions. My emails were always answered really quick. You can tell she cares about her students. Best pandemic teacher.

Just got done taking BIO 150. First science class I ever liked and actually learned something! It dealt with real life stuff instead of learning a bunch of terms we'll never use. Mrs. Hunzinger is a good teacher.

Mrs. H was such a wonderful professor. I took her class as a hybrid (partially online/partially in person) and she made it such an easy experience. Her lectures are wonderful and her PowerPoints give you everything you could ever need. Just participate in lab and youre golden. She also understands that you are human and will treat you as one!!!

So glad Mrs. Hunzinger was my bio teacher. I was nervous taking college courses and she made bio 100 online easy and fun. She helped to keep us on track by sending a message every Monday morning and told us exactly what to do for the week. If your looking for a good bio class, take Mrs. Hunzingers class.

I really liked Mrs. Hunzingers class. She was understanding and doesn't freak out over little things like some of my other instructors. She understood when I was sick and helped me catch up with the class. I highly recommend her for a teacher you should take. She is great.

I had Mrs. Hunzinger for BIO 100. She was a great teacher, and I enjoyed being in her class. She always was encouraging and took the time to be a real person by doing things like telling us good morning before class started. She did a good job of making hard material seem a bit more understandable. I felt like she cared about her students.

Mrs. Hunzinger (Mrs H) helped me through a tough time last semester. I was a LLC athlete far from home was homesick. I was really overwhelmed and she helped me know it was going to be ok. Her pep talks kept me going and I finished the semester with good grades. Mrs. H is a special person and I'm glad I took her class.
