Great Professor. Very clear about what is expected. There's a reading quiz before every chapter and a homework assignment for every chapter. There are always extra credit questions in every assignment (reading quizzes, homework assignments, and exams). She gives great reviews for the exams. Show up to class. She will help with homework too.

I took her for Physics 2 and easily one of the best professors I have ever had. Classes are usually fun, she will always give you extra help if you need it after class or in office hours. I had a decent amount of homework but I took it as a Hybrid class so that comes with the territory, and she will usually give you extended time if you ask her

Miss Brenda is hands down the best teacher I've ever had. She is extremely clear and tells you exactly what you need to know, and will help you every step of the way if you are having trouble understanding anything. Physics is a hard class, and I'm normally bad at math, but because of her I passed. If you are taking physics, you must take her.

To put it simply, the gem of physics! I loved the layout of the class from lectures to labs to tests. A very reasonable and helpful professor. She goes well out of her way to help students understand the material. Even incorporates videos from outside into lectures to make the material understandable and interesting. Would take her again.

I had professor Skoczelas for PHY 1 & 2. She gives awesome lectures & has a great teaching style. The work she has you do at home can be tough but it helps you to truly grasp the concepts.. plus, she's always willing to help if you get stuck. Her exams completely reflect the lecture material & she provides study guides and review days! SHE'S GREAT!

As someone who isn't a science major, I took ESC1000 to fulfill a core requirement. The coursework isn't always interesting, but Ms. Skoczelas is a very good professor. She provides great feedback and is very helpful. If you're like me and want to take a science class that isn't too intensive, this is a good option; just be prepared to read!

You have one homework assignment and quiz due each week. Some of the homework is rather long, but it teaches you the content. I did not use the book the majority of the class, but I also already knew some of the information. From what I could tell, she was a nice lady. She makes sure you know what's due each week with an email every Monday.

Ms. Skoczelas is one of the best professors I've ever had - I definitely recommend her. She will take time in-class to make sure you learn the material (and will work out HW problems with you) and will help you outside of class if you ask her to. The lectures are very helpful and labs are so much fun. She will make you work for your grade though.

Took this class 1 semester ago and had Physics 2 since then. Physics 1 seemed harder because of getting used to formulas and processes. But Ms. Skoczelas made the material easily understandable and the class was very intriguing and fun. I wouldn't skip out on class as it's a major part of your grade. I would definitely take her again for any class.

Ms. Skoczelas is one of the best professors at LSSC. Every week we have a reading quiz (online), notes due and sometimes a worksheet. All homework due the day before the test. I love the way she organize her class is very easy to follow. She takes the time to do some homework questions in class and shows a lot of videos in class.

Physics is not the easiest subject, but Ms. Skoczelas is able to make the material easy to understand. She gives you every chance to succeed by creating notes for every chapter, reviewing homework problems in class, creating study guides for every test, and offering extra credit. However, this class was harder than I expected; with the amount of content I would have rather taken this course during the Fall or Spring. On the up side, Ms. Skoczelas was always there to help whenever I needed, with supportive guidance.

I took her hybrid class and it was fairly easy. Do the homework each week, show up, study all the quizzes for the midterms, and youll get an A. She's also really nice and seems to care about her students and seems graceful about situations if you talk to her in advanced. Lots of extra credit opportunities too.

She is the nicest teacher I have had yet. Completely sympathetic with the things life throws at you, willing to give you extra time on assignments if you deserve it, and lots of opportunity for extra credit. The course is not difficult at all, just a little time consuming with the reading. Weekly quizzes are easy, homework is frustrating though.

Professor S is a very considerate Professor who gives every chance for sucesss. She truly cares about her students and goes the extra distance to make sure every student gets the resources they need to do well. Physics by nature is a difficult course and to be honest is not one I thought I could pass. To my surprise I enjoyed it shes the best!

I took Physics 1 with a teacher at PBSC and I struggled very much in that class. Professor Skoczelas made me wish I would've taken Physics 1 with her. Even though I still struggled with the material at times, Professor Skoczelas made it a lot easier for me to understand. Her lectures are great and the exam reviews are very similar to the exams.

This was a fully online course with a interactive textbook. Which was easy to use. We had a few discussions which were a bit challenging in that they make you see things from a different perspective. To me there was a great life lesson embedded in this lesson. I appreciate this class. Flexible schedule but no late work plan accordingly.

Don't be afraid to ask questions! For the entirety of the two semesters that I had Skoczelas as my professor, she was always very open to answer questions, and never turned anyone down. She even would go as far as asking us to stay after class or to at least send her emails asking for help, to ensure that no student falls behind.

TAKE PROFESSOR SKOCZELAS! She is very understanding and a sweet lady overall. I fell behind on some of my work and she still allowed me to turn it in a receive some credit my best advice would be to communicate with her she's literally the sweetest! Thank you, Professor S!

I took Prof. Sko for Intro to Astronomy. Great instructor and grades extremely quickly with great feedback. She is also very responsive to emails.

Her class setup on Canvas is flawless. She also reminds students if they miss upcoming assignments, which is beyond what is required for teaching adults. I respect that she used OpenStack and free educational textbooks. The material she provides in her class material, like the lectures from Rice, is very informative.

I had Professor Skoczelas for a summer term and I had a great experience! There was a lab assignment that was due and although I did part of the assignment, it had not fully uploaded onto Canvas. Instead of giving me an automatic zero for the assignment, Professor Skoczelas simply asked me to turn it in when I had a chance. Truly a great professor!

Great Professor. If your course is straightforward and completely online, she is still available. She always gives feedback. Her Canvas pages are as precise as an advanced physics problem. Lastly, she uses openstax - free textbooks.

Great teacher and really tries to make sure you pass her class. She always gave back test on time and would give you feedback as well. Definitely would recommend her for physics, she is the only teacher I have had who made it an easy class!

You'll have weekly homework and lectures to go through and take notes. The class was easy and the professor cared about her lectures and in-class activities. The in-class activities are graded and do weigh quite a bit so you can't miss class but overall, it was a great semester with her.

I took her PHY2049C course through Florida Shines for schedule convience. Let me tell you... she makes Physics 2 a BREEZE. I enjoyed every week with her and she turns around and grades assignments quickly. I was done with the course 3 weeks early. She is the absolute best.

She is awesome!!!! This was my first time taking physics ever and I was a bit nervous but it was great! The class consisted of mainly completing multiple choice questions and the material was very easy to understand. There were also a few simple labs and a final presentation but don't worry because she is a very nice and understanding person.

10/10 professor. She provides good feedback and is understanding. Attend every class you can, if you don't give her a heads up that you won't make it, you'll get a zero for that assignment. The exam is taken at home and is open-book. She makes the lecture easy to comprehend and gives additional resources if needed.

Prof. Skoczelas was a great professor. I took Conceptual Physics with her, and that is now my favorite class I have taken in the two years I've been taking classes at lssc. She is always smiling when she's teaching and teaches in an interactive way. The homework wasn't that bad, and she was helpful when I had questions. The labs were pretty fun too

Pro. Sko. is really nice; always patient to help us understand the materials, even when we asked a bunch of questions. She is available to help you with any of the hw questions. There is a final project which she wants to be creative--not difficult--and there is only one exam (the final exam) which you can use your notes for.

Not sure what's up with the 2-star review. Professor Skoczelas is simply amazing. You need to attend one lecture to see that she really cares about her students. This was my favorite class during summer semester. Reading heavy but not impossible. I was able to complete this whole class in about 2mo. Hard work but possible. I highly recommend this class.

Some medical situations made it difficult to complete assignments on time, and Professor Skoczelas was more than understanding. Prof. Sko was amazing! She is super sweet and passionate about the subject, and her lectures are very informative. Coming from a transient student POV that failed physics 3 times at FGCU. Take her! She explains well, and her labs are easy and educational!

Prof Sko was always available to help! And provides a lot of opportunities and resources to pass her class. I just wish my test anxiety didn't get the best of me. Definitely would recommend.

She is great! Easy to follow lessons and fun projects, the only thing is that they are long projects and can take a bit of time if you do not pace them out. Also, she requires you to take selfies of the experiment projects to ensure you did it (not a bad thing, just something to be aware of).

Very good teacher & lectures, labs & reading quizzes (1 per week) are easy to follow and have clear guidelines. Homework problems are a little difficult but you have time to work on them in advance. Most exam (3 hour time limit, 3 total exams) questions are like the quizzes and labs, but some are like the homework which are a lot more intricate.

It's easy to get an A, just make sure to complete your weekly homework. Usually just a 45-1hr worth of homework for the week, followed by a 10 question quiz. But the professor is very easy going and gives multiple study options for exams.
