wonderful and smart. she made me like sociology and encouraged me so much that i might go to a university and graduate school for sociology. i'm very glad that i got to know her.

Great teacher, even if she uses a lot of big words. Be sure to ask her questions. She loves them and will answer them fully and without hesitation, especially after class.

She's just so happy to be teaching. A very encouraging and positive person, she is happy to help and answer questions. Class is not hard as long as you let her teach you and pay attention. She really tries to make it fun.

Great professor, No standup and speak, she will help you out with class problems as well as personal problems. Always looks out for you and doesnt try to stand in your way like other professors.

She is a great teacher. If you arent a morning person, take her 9AM class, she'll definitely wake you up. Mrs. Zicha makes sociology fun, and she doesnt just lecture, she has overhead notes. Everything on the test is in the notes. I highly recommend her.

I felt so much smarter after this class!!! Mrs. Zicha is bouncy and entertaining and enthusiastic. Her tests are somewhat challenging, but in a good way.

My very favorite teacher! She's just wonderful and passionate. Just go to class, take good notes and you will be all set for the tests. TEST ARE DIRECTLY FROM HER NOTES (a little from the readings)

She is an excellent teacher. She really gets your spirits up. She is passionate about what she teaches and she does everything to help and make sure that her students understand tests and papers. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

AWESOME TEACHER !! Most interesting teacher I have yet had at MCC. Very good at presenting the information and makes the class FUN! which you don't see to often. I recommend anyone taking Sociology to take Mrs. Z I cannot say enough nice things about her!

She is a wonderful teacher to have, especially if this your first time taking Soc. Whenever I had home troubles or an assignment turned up missing, she worked with me. The only problem I really had was her writing expectation, make sure you pay attention to her guidlines.

This teacher is so much fun! She makes this subject so interesting and funny it is easy to remember most of what she says. She is very animated! I would take more classes she taught just to watch her teach! She truly is a great teacher and I wish there were more out there like her!!!!!

This is one of the most helpful teachers I've ever had at Mott.She makes the class very fun and interresting.Her writing assignments are fun and easy,as long as you follow her guidlines.I hope to take another class of hers.

I love this woman to death!! She is such a great teacher and an absolute joy to be around. The other professors could learn a thing or two from her. She makes learning fun and everyone should take her for soc.191 or anything else she teaches.

This is the second class I've had with Ms.Zicha, she is an all around awesome teacher. She will work with you to try to better your understanding. She gives grace periods on all of the papers too. Very understanding, I recommend her to anyone and everyone!

My biggest mistake was taking this class online and not buying the book!!!! : ( If I would of been fully prepared this class would of gone better for me. --That is my bad!!! My disliking about the class was the video types that went along with the material. They need to be watched way out of order!

Ms. Z is truly an down to earth person very easy to understand. If you don't pass her course you truly did not put up the effort. The only thing is, if you take her for a night class be prepared to stay for the full time. NO EXCEMPTIONS

Mrs. Zicha is extremely nice and easy going. I took this class as a distance learning course and I do NOT recommend doing that. I could have aced the class if I was attending her class sessions, but it's pretty hard distance learning.

Ms. Zicha has a LOT of energy and very crazy laugh. Very nice teacher, easy PowerPoint slides. Should come to class to learn the stuff, but it's very easy. Would take another class with her!

Mrs. Z was a great teacher. I took her Distant Learning class. It was very easy if you read your book and watched your videos. She would have been a great teacher to take in person. She is full of energy and enjoys teaching. I met with her over some of the homework. She was a great help, very pleasant to talk to, and she answered all emails.

Professor Zicha was very clear about what was going to be on the test. She also laid out exactly what was needed for the papers that we wrote.This made getting an a very easy. She presented info that was clear & easy to understand. There were a lot of notes and lecture but she is a nice lady who lays out exactly what she expects from each student.

i love this lady...she is so nice and understanding and can you believe it--will let you turn your paper in up to a week later with no reduction in grade?! wow. she is too nice! people in my class are extremely RUDE, however, but brenda doesnt seem to notice..lol..i would definitely take her again but im done with soc :(

I had a hard time at first. But once I learned to ask what she wanted, she would explain everything. She is very understanding and sometimes bends under certain circumstances. Very easy to talk to. I took this class as a DL course so I have no experience of her "in class", I would communicate through e-mail, she responded quickly.

I took this class online and had no problems with it. The tests are laid out for you, you just have to study for them. It wasn't confusing like some of the online classes are that I've taken at Mott.

I took her intro class on-line. As long as you go to the review sessions you are golden. Everything is laid out for you very nicely in the syallbus. She loves what she teaches and it shows. Just be sure to keep up with the reading.

This was my 2nd Ms. Z class and again I learned a ton and enjoyed it. It's a bit harder via distance learning as you have less chances for extra points so you have to do well on everything you are given.

Great Teacher! Is willing to help students out! I would take her again for a class. If you do your work and study there is no reason you should not get a 4.0. Lets you redue papers and gives extra credit. She makes the class fun. TAKE HER!!

Ok teacher gives lots of extra credit. Test questions are VERY misleading. Requires to much extra reading. Rearranges room for test. Speaks the truth but can be vulgar. Would not correct grade even when she admitted she made a mistake. If you can by pass her quirks she is a Ok teacher if you sift out what's important and whats not.

I had her for race & ethnic relations and I liked her a lot. She is wise, objective, jolly, and extremely helpful. If there was some kind of teacher tech-support rating Zicha would obviously get the highest rating possible because she responds to emails within 10 minutes somehow. Her class wasn't easy but wasn't hard either.

Took online. Mrs. Zicha is very fair and clear on what she expects. Some people are just too lazy to do what is expected, as you can read by other's comments.

She is an awesome teacher. She is very helpful and very prompt. If you send her an e-mail she responds right away, and always provides feedback. I would reccomend this teacher any day to anyone. Her classes consist of work, but if you don't understand she trys her best to clarify it. She's very fair.

This woman is a fantastic teacher and she loves what she teaches and makes it very interesting. I took this as a spring class and two chapters were assigned each week, and it was a REQUIREMENT to fully read the chapters. Only two papers assigned and they were easy. Does written notes off Ppt. Tests are easy if you do all the work. Highly recommend.

She is nuts! She keeps her lectures interesting. I had her for marriage and family and it was a difficult class. She gave a lot of notes and random projects/assignments. Tests weren't terribly hard IF YOU STUDY! Do not take her classes lightly, she makes them challenging!

Brenda is very strict. She gives a ton of homework, esp an online class. Hours and hours. I would not take her again as she overloads you in homework and tons of reading with the book. She gives you study guides but this is a hard class unless you like reading the entire book and doing a ton of homework every week!!Challenging teacher!

Mrs. Z is one tough cookie! But not impossible! Lots of reading & studying. She is a tough grader, so proof read & reproof read your papers. Her study guides are only a guide, so touch base on all the material. She does respond quickly to emails and will help where she can. Dont expect it to be an easy,but do the time and work, and youll be fine!

BRENDA IS AN HEAVEN SENT ANGEL AND MASTER OF SOCIOLOGY. Very clear on expectations and very organized. Always available and eager to help students out. Take notes, engage in class discussions, ask questions, read the book, do the weekly quizzes (that you can take as many times as you would like), and you WILL have an amazing semster!

She is a wonderful teacher! I took her Marriage and Family class and I really appreciate her help and advice. It is worth it to take any of her classes!

This was my second Sociology class, and because of the class and the teacher, I switched my major from American Sign Language to Sociology. There were only two papers that we had to do. There were weekly quizzes that went along with the chapters that were being covered. This was the best class ever and Professor Zicha was absolutely AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Took her online 2nd half class and I do agree with some reviews that she over explains things. But the class is easy and she is very clear about what is expected. Was very willing to work with me when I had some personal issues come up. Very responsive & organized. Grades are posted quickly. I'd recommend her.

Professor Zicha is a very caring and well organized teacher. She clearly lays out what is expected from her students. She acknowledges extra effort with bonus points. She responds quickly to emails and gets grades back to you quickly. Great class and teacher.

Ms. Z is a very knowledgeable professor with a passion for sociology. I found some assignments difficult but nothing out of the norm. I found that you must read read read to do well on the quizzes and primarily the exams! She responds quicker to emails than most professors I've had. I'd take her again for sure.

If you read the rubrics for writing papers, the syllabus, which is about 31 pages long, and actually take time to watch/read the assignments and participate in the group blackboard post it's so easy to pass and understand. The quizzes are easy. The tests are manageable.I actually sought out more classes by her. There is no reason not to pass.

There was definitely a lot of reading for this class and the quizzes and exams were focused on what you read and the links she provided you with as part of class. Before every exam she gave us a review game that I found very helpful. She was a picky grader but was there if you needed help. Would definitely take another class with her.

I love this class! Brenda Zicha is so full of life and has such engaging lectures. However, I am NOT a fan of the huge workload that is expected to be completed on blackboard each week. Given many chances to receive good grades due to many online assignments, but no way of completing them in reasonable time if you do work and school full time.

Hands down the best professor I've had during my college experience. She is funny, and gives real life examples. Participation in discussion boards mandatory, but she makes the subject so much fun. I learned a lot in her class, and am taking another course with her this semester. Highly recommend her for any sociology course.
