I don't know much about this prof since I only went to class about 4 times (and 2 of those were test days). This course is extremely easy. Be forewarned however, that the final exam is an order of magnitude harder than the midterms. I dropped from a 97% before to an A after so look out!

I think he is totally fair. His exam was challenging, but no more than any other. He is totally helpful whever you ask! And whatever about the hair - he's got a full head and is wickedly gorgeous! If all my profs looked and taught like that I would never miss a class!

Great prof. DO NOT BUY TEXT BOOK WITH HIM. His lectures are all u need thas y u MUST go to all of his lectures. Make sure u do all the bonus assignments and the chapter questions he assigns. His tests and exams are difficult so make sure you study. TIP: use his old tests!!! He repeats his questions all the time!!!

One of the best profs I've had at Ryerson! He's young, so he understands students are busy don't need a lot of extra crap, so he doesn't fill time with BS, his notes and lectures are just about what is important and will be covered on the tests/exam. He's a very fair guy. Do the bonus assignments and you'll do even better in the class!

First off.. he is a CUTTIE!! and besides that he is a really GOOD PROF and HUMAN BEIGN.. if you ask him he will explain things for you.. and the exams are fari.. just practice the old exams he gives you and some of the problems and you're bound to he at least an A-

Midterms are gifts, as was the change in marking scheme, final was pretty hard though. Lecture notes prior to each class are very helpful. Good Prof!!

He is a great professor, but during the lectures the students sometimes just take over the talking. There is tooooo much talking! Please students, shut up during lecture.

Seems like a nice person, never approached him personally though. Goes over examples with clarity. Very good with marks, willing to give you the highest possible mark combinations to your advantage.

Makes it simple and understandable. His notes were soo good I didn't even buy the text. Economics is a hard course for many but Brennan makes it easy. Also he is usually a good sport with the midterms and bonus marks for questionable questions. That being said it is usually easy to do well in his course just with the notes he gives.

He a care-free prof, if you want to learn, go to his class, if not read the text and go to the tutorials. His midterm is fair. He's a nice prof. Lectures are directly from his powerpoints.

Yes, the midterm was very hard compared to the assignment questions but the final was much easier as he promised. His lectures are good and he explains everything perfectly. The midterm was the only gripe I had with the class. Everything else was fine.

You will feel like you're doing great when you do the practice questions but its a big scam! You'll know how little you know when the midterm comes around

Good professor over all. Everything seems easy in class. Online assignments (weekly) and tutorials are compulsory but that gives you the chance to get easy marks. The midterm was really hard and long. But post-midterm material is easier, which makes the exam a easier too.

hes a really nice guy. he knows the material pretty well. his example are funny and are easy to relate to. he admitted that the mid term was a bit too hard so he made the final a bit easier. his class is a little boring though. it didnt help that the lighting in the lecture hall makes you want to take a nap.

He's pretty helpful if you don't understand something. He will arrange it so that you can achieve the highest grade possible by putting 100% of course weighting on the exam if you do better on it than the quizzes. Make sure you take notes in lecture as some questions will be on the quiz. He kinda talks fast.

his 204 class is much different than his 104 class. its a bit harder but its very doable. tutorials arent mandatory. final is worth 60% which can kinda stress you out if your having trouble with the material. but other than that this class isnt that bad. and dont talk very much cause he wil stop and wait till your quiet to continue

Easy course. His notes compliment the text so just read the text and his notes, you'll do fine. Practice his problem set questions and quizzes.... and you'll do fine! Just like he said, no surprises on the final. Final was extremely easy. Practice, and you'll do great! Excellent teacher who goes out of his way to help students.

The most amazing course I took ever. It was so easy to get an A+. All the questions in the final exams and quiz are based on the problem sets he assigned. And no need to buy the textbook,(It saves lots of money!!) his notes are very very useful. But be aware, he will skip the key concepts when he heard someone is chatting during class.

Has a hard time teaching during lectures. However, at the beginning of the semester he hands out excellent notes to be used for his quizes. If you don't understand something in his notes, just email him and he will answer back fast and with a throughout explanation.

Very helpful and understanding. Always there to help you out and makes sure you understand everything. He is the best. Can't find a better professor for this course. Just read his notes and be in the class and you will be fine.

Thompsons lectures are very interesting he explains in ways that make you understand every new chapter. His notes are extremely useful. But his exams are hard because they're tricky, so be aware of that!In general don't expect an A in his class due to his tricky exams!!

He's really nice...a no BS course. BUY Aplia. I found it easy in ECN104 going to take 204 with his next semester. It was a good time!

great prof. finsihed with a A+. I didnt even open the textbook but I did do all of the aplia assignments and practice problems. midterm and final based on what he talks about in class so make sure you go. would definatly take one of his classes again. oh yeah, hes also gorgeous

This guy was a sensational professor. There were some ignorant students who complained about the mid-term because they couldn't understand y=mx+b. He is enthusiastic and down to earth at the same time. He makes funny jokes too! Overall, a terrific experience. I want to be prof just like him! lol

ALL LIES - thompson is amazing, definately way better than peng. This is your way of getting people to switch out of thompson to switch to pengs class because u can't get into thompsons!

Looks aside, he's an exceptional teacher. It's evident that he cares about his students. If you didn't do too well in the course, be honest - did you put any effort into it? He gives practice questions which are more or less identical to exams (he said himself that he just changes numbers around). He's a well-rounded prof.

Amazing guy. He doesent use the text at all so dont bother buying one, all his notes are posted online and thats all you will need to study to pass the course. He explains the concepts clearly and answers any questions without a fuss. I didnt go to class for the second half of the sem and aced the exam with just notes. Good prof!

Okay so this teacher is really easy becuase he explains the information so much. But it almost is annoying. Like we get it, we all came from high school, we all know what y=mx+b is otherwise we wouldnt be here. seriously took half an hour to explain that equation in regards to economics. This guy is not that great of a teacher! He knows his stuff.

I am not doing well in this class because I have a 5 hour break before every time and I tend to fall asleep. However, if I am to be wide awake, I think the prof does exceptionally well. He knows how to clearly explain everything and you honestly do not need the textbook as long as you listen in class and ask questions when you need to.

EXTREMELY HARD CLASS! i felt a complete dumbass during lecture. but a really decent prof that really knows his stuff. 2 thumbs up. the fact that he's able to teach all that and and does research on it deserves respect!!! recommend take some hard liquor before class for better understanding, not recommended for people with suicidal tendency

The previous poster must have been sleeping in class, because he clearly told us(about 10 times) that the final would be everything AFTER the midterm, which explains why they're both different. He gives us old exam questions to do which helps. It's sad that 80% of the class leaves while he takes up questions and later complain how exams were hard.

Honestly without him teaching my class there would have been no way i passed that class but he gives you more than enough help. He gives you chapter questions that are from previous exams and also the answer sheet explaining how to do them. I was able to have a nap in every class and come out of it with a 78

Great professor! He sometime goes too fast during the lectures, but you just have to get used to it. Seems very passionate about what he is teaching. Extremely attractive! Tests are easy because they are just based on the practice questions, just different numbers. He really cares about his students and makes sure everyone gets the highest marks

He perfectly understand students!! No textbook used, all info is on slides and you can study like 2 days before exam and pass with 80, becuase all the midterms are just based on the topic questions! what else can you dream of? Can pass with A and know a lot while other proffs make you read all the chapters with getting C...

Just do the homework questions for each topic and your good for the exam. He can be a bit tricky though with some of the questions but ultimately amazing-gives you a free A+ worth 10% of your grade as well as bonus if you do practice mid-terms...Be happy if you end up with him.

Excellent prof, fair in everything. Explains how he comes up with test questions and its exactly how its done. Given perfect practice questions and no textbook needed.

One of my favourite profs. Everything that he tells you about the midterms is true, and he does not deviate from what he says in class and has on his notes and practice questions. Midterms were easy, and the final was harder than expected, but fair. Excellent quality. We didn't use the textbook, but he told us that we wouldn't anyways.

Teaches VERY well. Textbook is optional but you wouldn't need it for this class since his lecture notes and the homework questions are enough to help you understand. The Exams are easy as long as you know how to do the homework assigned. Need help understanding? Look for him during his office hour and he'll gladly help you. :) Wish he taugh ECN204.

Bad things: he always jumps from topic to topic, doesn't really explain himself clearly and then the good things; he is a fair marker as long as you put in the effort and show your work. Overall OK course, if you put in effort, you will get a decent mark. However, he likes coding way too much to be teaching.

He is a nice guy but the course is tough. You really need to have strong statistic background for the course. He goes very fast on the material and his notes can be confusing and his tests can be tough if you are not good with statistic. Only recommend if you have no problem with statistic topics.

Guy was an absolute beauty, very straight forward and tells you EXACTLY what will be on the midterm.. literally.

I'm 50/50 with this prof. Lectures are straightforward. He's very opinionated. 1st midterm was generally fair. Final wasn't a great representation of what we learned during the last half of the semester. But if you study the homework assigned, you're guaranteed a good mark! Marking by the TA's is very fair. I wouldn't mind him again.

Lets be honest for a second. THIS IS NOT AN EASY CLASS. Brennan is very well organized and sets the student up for success IF they put the work in. He tells you exactly what will be on the exams. He's very knowledgeable on the subject and a smart guy overall. Would take him again 100%

Brennan was a good professor back when I had him as a professor in first year, but the course and tests are challenging. He wants his students to succeed but you need to put a lot of effort into the course. Provides weekly practice questions, which he goes through at the beginning of each class. Don't buy the book, tells you that it's garbage

I took this course (and a few others) with him a couple years ago, and am very sad he took a break from teaching :( BEST prof of my post-secondary career and I've been to 2 universities, and 3 diff. programs. This prof literally made me love economics (as an elective) and is the reason I switched and am majoring in it right now. A+ person, A+ prof

Best professor of all time. Doesn't waste your time making you buy and read a garbage textbook. His lectures are amazing and he covers numerous examples that are similar to test questions. Attend class, take good notes, review all the practice questions and you'll get an A. Majoring in econ because of him.

Solid prof, he saves you from buying a $150 textbook (which he believes is a scam) and instead broke the course into 4 power points that were posted online. Even if you dont read them outside of class he goes over everything in detail in the lecture. Midterm and exam were very fair and came straight from sample questions in the power points.

The best Economics prof at Ryerson by far. Doesn't make you buy a $300 textbook, makes all of the concepts easy to understand and relates everything back to real-life examples. Do yourself a favour and take his courses.

Amazing professor. He hates textbooks because they are a scam, he posts all of the information online. He is quite clear about the tested material, and provides previous exam questions for practice. His lectures would generally end 15 - 30 mins early. Takes up any questions in class. Definitely the best microeconomics teacher if you have the option

Brennan is the best! I learned more about stats with him a few months than I did in my entire university career. Pay attention in class and follow what he says, you're solid. Doesn't try to throw any curve balls or make you buy useless textbooks. Inspired my interest in econometrics.
