He's a very nice man (and sarcastic) and he's lenient on grading your speeches (there aren't many given). However,it never seems like he is sure about his lesson plan, but if you want to pass with an "A," especially if you aren't a great speaker, then take him. He's very easy-going & understanding.

He was a very interested professor taught his class very clear. He had his points with certain topic and had us done many word papers which would later better me in the future. A professor that can really teach and knows how to stay on the topic.

He is the bomb!! I'm taking him now during the summer and he easy very nice and totally makes the class fun. I totally recommend taking him.....easy A too!!

Prof Campbell truely cares for his students. Alot of work had to covered in the 6 weeks. Great class! Was it an easy A, no you had to work for it. If you participated, read the class assignments and put an effort in to your speech presentations then you will probably will get an A.

He is a great teacher. The exams are more difficult than you would expect them to be because he is a easygoing teacher. Exams are the least important part od the class. Do well on the speeches, and you shold get an A. If you pay attention at all, you should get an A easily.

He is a great teacher. I was hesitant about taking the class, but I'm thankful I did. This was an easy course. He is respectful and works with you if you have any problems of any kind. I highly recommend Prof. Campbell. The classmates I had were awesome too.

Campbell is a really nice and funny guy. He makes you really comfortable when you do your speeches. There was one test on paper, the mid-term. And you can pass the mid-term with a bit of studying easily. All in all, I enjoyed this class (and I hate talking in front of people). All of the classmates became friends in the end.

A lot of work for summer class. He is very good at making you comfortable,when giving speech's. Not sure about group projects, especially if you are the only one doing the work of many. All is All I enjoyed the class but I deserved a better grade considering the HARD work and time I put into it. Connects well with students and there interests.

He made the class interesting, most of the time. He mainly showed powerpoint slides and read them nearly word for word, then had us take a couple tests and a few speeches. I was surprised to get an A, and highly recommend his class.

He WILL work with you if you need some extra help or time with assignments(just talk to him) He lets you debate exam answers if the answer key says your wrong but you feel otherwise. Take home final also. You can mke your speeches about whatever you want(even if its controversial). Leaves early also.

EASY "A". Talks alot but things happen in this class. You really learn how to give a speech. It is interesting. He loves to talk but very sweet. Kind of a push over!

Very compassionate human being and smart. He LOVES to talk. We didn't follow syllabus which made me nuts but whatever he asked us to do I made sure it was done by the next class and its fine. Skips around syllabus. Just pay attention and communicate with him; don't be tardy he doesn't like that.

This guy is a great teacher. If you plan to take a communications class I would definitely suggest him. He is a nice guy and he keeps you interested. Being in front of the class for speech's is no problem either he makes you feel right at home.

Professor Campbell, or "Your Majesty", as we liked to call him, is the best Professor! If you are uncomfortable with speaking in public, this is the Professor to take. YOU WILL HAVE TO GIVE SPEACHESS!! But, he makes you feel comfortable with doing it. Already confident? He will break down your flaws so you can expand, and improve. Must have class!

Easy class. Gave a couple oral presentations. You can show up at any time and sign in on the sign in sheet, or you dont have to stay the whole time but he appreciates a regular. don't buy a text book

He was nice and pretty funny. The class was super easy we only really did 2 speech plus a little i troduction about ourselves. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you show up regularly he will help you out a little with your grade if your close. He made the speech really easy and we had no tests only an online midterm.

I wasn't looking forward to taking speech. However, I hit the jackpot with Professor Campbell. It's been a few years since I had this class, but it was painless. The class was very comfortable with each other and we only had to do a few speeches. Maybe 2 or 3 were solo speeches. The rest were in a group. He is the best!

I really disliked public speaking at first, but Professor Campbell made the class feel like a family. We had a deal in the beginning of the class where what was said in the roomed stayed in the room and we stuck to it. There was only 1 little introduction about yourself and then 2 real speeches and you were able to pick your topic. I recommend!

Professor Chen is the sweetest professor i've ever had. I took his speech class and really enjoyed it. There are only 3 speeches throughout the semester and the mid-terms and finals are online. He really cares about his students and is always willing to help you. TAKE HIM!!! you won't regret it.

I hate speaking in public but professor Campbell made this class super RELAXED. One rule for the class what happens in class stays in class. He is super understanding and very caring. Take his speech class you wont regret it. He is a bit weird at first but you will warm up to him. If you are easily offended do not take him.

3 hours of class with Professor Campbell seemed like nothing. He is genuinely nice, funny and understanding. I'm gonna miss his class. I love professor Campbell, he is super sweet, understanding, and funny. His class was always my favorite part of the week. He grades things fairly and gets that not everybody is okay with speaking in front of others.

If you hate public speaking, take this class. Professor Campbell did a great job making the class a little more open to each other so it was easier to get up in front of the class and talk. At PBSC it is mandatory to take SPC 1017, and I am so glad that I picked Professor Campbell. He's witty, and there were only four speeches as your grade. He makes everyone feel comfortable, and at the end of the summer term I was lowkey sad that the class was over. I highly recommend, it's an easy A!

I took this class as a dual enrollment course. I really enjoyed this class, and I really recommend this professor. We were graded on reading the chapters, doing 6 speeches, and a midterm. He gives really good feedback to every speech, and he is really easy to contact outside of class. He also gives great letters of recommendation for his students.

The class is super easy and its an easy A if you do it. Had to take him during Covid and you have the opportunity to just record your speeches instead of doing it in front of class. Hes a good teacher & very funny humor, but he be outta pocket sometimes. Very easy A, i highly recommend.

there is a lot of class discussions, overall he is a good teacher and person. discussions are often entertaining and make you laugh. to pass just make sure to do the quiz every week and a good tip is to write the reflections while they are been discusses in class. quizzes are not hard if you read the book, all answers are in there
