I highly recommend Professor Norwood for ECON 2843. I would highly recommend going to class because he gives in class attendance extra credit.I did not go to class for the second unit and really struggled to learn the material. He breaks down the lectures so well and sometimes he will even give hints as to what is on the test in class.

I have nothing but good things to say about professor Norwood. He is awesome! He cares about his students and his lectures are not boring. If you do not take him you will regret it. I enjoyed going to his classes! I got an A. As long as you do your HW required you should get no less than a B. Multiple choice tests.

Brent Norwood is super awesome. This class is super easy if you attend class but it's not mandatory to go. He gives you extra credit if you go to class and puts them on test grades. The final is optional and the tests are on paper but so easy and almost exactly like the review/practice questions. Brent is a funny guy and cares about his students.

One of my favorite professors I have ever had. He relates to his students, and really cares about all of them. If you go to his office hours or answer questions in class you will receive extra credit. His tests are exactly like the study guides! I wish I could have him again.

The grading scheme is exactly how I think most classes should be. That being room for error and room for improvement. I highly recommend going to class during the week, not only does he go through the homework but he tends to give extra credit to those to attend class. Just apply yourself a bit and this class should be a breeze.

Dr. Norwood is a cornball! He gives extra credit for attendance on days when attendance is low, like the Monday after an exam. The way he sets up the homework vs exams is awesome. I was worried about the online homework integration, but it's adaptive, so as long you finish it, you get full points. Then exams are more theoretical, not computational.

LOVE Norwood, he makes lectures entertaining and gives bonus points on tests if you attend class. Homeworks are easy and he helps you with them in class. Tests are also super easy and the study guides are super helpful. Material can be difficult but he only tests the basics so it is not hard to do well in the class. Take Norwood!!!

Professor Norwood wants you to succeed in the class. He gives a lot of extra credit and is always available during his office hours. He drops the final and only has a few homework assignments. There are only three tests and he does reviews during his office hours the day before. The reviews he gives are super helpful.

Loved Norwood! He made a potentially boring class interesting. He offers extra credit throughout his lectures so GO TO CLASS. Each exam was curved by almost 15 points, so it was easy to make an A in this class. And word of advice, use the McGraw-Hill connect to study for exams, it was an absolute lifesaver.

Highly recommend Norwood! He was awesome, definitely one of the chillest profs I've had. Participation is very beneficial when it comes to performing well on tests, but if you pay attention to all assignments and really try to learn you will do fine.

Professor Norwood is the best! I am not great when it comes to economics, but Professor Norwood made it the easiest it could have been. He gives around 6-10 extra bonus points on tests if you attend class. Tests are moderately difficult but if you study you should have an A. Fantastic teacher and funny. Norwood is a great teacher. He is young and makes the class fun. Attendance is not required, but he gives extra credit quizzes in class. Norwood was a very interesting professor. He always had fun during class and made good jokes. For me, the tests were kinda difficult but STUDY. He has 4 exams and an optional final. He drops the lowest score from them. He gives A LOT of extra credit for just attending class. Little HW, given a 100 for just doing it. Class was always a good time!

This guy is the best. He gives bonus points like they are free beers on a friday night. Make sure to do well on the exams, because the bulk of your grade (70-80%) will be weighted off those exams. But dont worry, merely showing up to class guarantees you a passing grade. You have to actively get creative to get less than a B+ in Norwood's classes.

The GOAT

I got 26 extra credit just for showing up and it boosted my test grade from a C to an A. You can tell he really cares as he puts a lot of effort to make it entertaining and engaging. Stats is boring, but it is honestly worth going to class!

This guy takes a goofy class such as Stats, and he made it understandable. You get extra credit on exams for showing up to class or for answering questions during the lecture. He's a legend. A rare professor that gets it.

He is a fun and caring guy. The class is very simple. There are only three tests and a study guide for each exam that he goes over in class. He offers random in-class extra credit points so go to lectures to get the points. He is super understanding and lowkey on everything. The final exam is optional. Overall, cannot recommend him enough!

Dr. Norwood is a super nice guy. He has a little bit of a "hello fellow kids" vibe, but he's a great professor. He walked us through parts of assignments in class together so we knew what we were doing. He does super helpful reviews the class before exams, and he's easy to reach outside of class. Assignments were online and they were awesome.

Attendance isn't mandatory but you should definitely go. He randomly does extra credit for attendance - usually on days when attendance is low like mondays and fridays.

This guy is what every teacher should aspire to be. I've taken two of his courses now and each time I walked away with nearly 100%. He is very fun and entertaining which helps when you're taking an unwanted stats class. GO TO CLASS I had over 30 extra credit points at one time from going to class and buying something that was advertised in class.

Professor Norwood does a good job of making the exams very similar to what is covered on the homework or what he went over in class. He offers a ton of extra credit for just going to class as well.

He will lecture for most of the class time but sometimes we end early. Attendance is not taken. But 1-2 times a week he will give bonus quizzes that he gives you the answer to! Turn in homework assignments on time, and do practice tests and you will for sure pass! Also, the final exam is optional, only have to take it if you want a higher grade :)

Norwood is the goat! He is the most relatable and chill professor I've ever had. He gives lots of bonus points over the semester which greatly helps with tests and will tell you if something is a test question. I took him for stats and didn't really understand anything near the end of the semester and still managed to get an A. He is a must-take.

Norwood was hands-down the best teacher I've had at OU! I took him once my freshman year and then took him again my sophomore year for Stats. He is a really fair teacher and gives a ton of bonus point opportunities throughout the semester. His exams are pretty straight forward and as long as you show up to class you will pass his exams!

Personally, i've never liked econ and never been good at it, but dr norwood teaches very well and gives out a ton of bonus points (i had almost 20 extra points on one test!) also, if you go to his office hours, he'll notice you and give you more extra credit (he also rounded my grade up due to good attendance) HES THE BEST!

I had a bad experience with economics in high school and it kind of traumatized me, so I was a little worried for this class. Dr. Norwood was a fun teacher, and his extra credit saved my life. He taught economics in a more fun way, and I enjoyed it a lot more even thought I do not really understand it at all and I am terrible at it.

GREAT professor.Makes statistics so much easier to understand, His goal is to make it as simple as possible so there is not ridiculous levels of math or assignments. There are Excel assignments that most of the time he does with everyone in class, along with a few light smartbooks. No attendance required&post notes.

This professor has good lectures and tries to make class better. He will sometimes give bonus points on exams for attendance so make sure you go every day to maximize bonus points, they add up.

Dr. Norwood's class was great. He would give us study guides, so we could review key points for the upcoming test. His review sessions were all about the study guide. There are case studies, but he does them with you in class. There is extra credit, so just attend class and you'll be fine. The tests are really easy, and they are paper-based.

This is likely, if not the best professor I've had at the University of Oklahoma. He performs amazing lectures and can metaphorically explain subjects, making it easy for students to contemplate his content. I had him in the spring of 2024, and I always wanted to ask questions after class. He is also a great guy to talk to about clubs at school.

Norwood is a great guy and tries to make his class easy to understand. Some professors don't like him because he lets you "buy your grade" if you get IBC products for extra credit. But he gives good reviews and offers all kinds of extra credit. He has a fun personality but I zoned out a lot and still got a good grade.

Great teacher, always brings a positive energy and gives a lot of extra credit.

Going to class really matters even if it is not mandatory. I found his lectures to be interesting given his personality, and the content was interesting because he made it interesting. I admired his character and the quality of his content, and the extra credit that he gave out was a nice addition. If I could take his classes again I would.

Dr. Norwood is an extremely social and easy to talk to guy if you ever need help or have questions. ECON 1113 is extremely easy and there are TONS of bonus points if you go to class. Dr. Norwood does a great job at teaching the subject.
