Difficulty and very informative.

Cons:Tests are really hard. he teaches via powerpoint which is hard to learn from. OverAll hes a good professor &keeps the class fun&interesting.did i mention he's excessively hot?! yea it can be distracting

Profesor Bird is a helpful guy, he gets really engaged in the subject and you actually learn pretty cool things. If you pay attention and write down notes in his class you will definately pass all of his exams. His exams are really easy and the textbook that he uses is amazing it is very interesting and in short this class is worth your money!!!

Very interesting and engaging. You will do well if you listen, take notes and do your homework. Make sure you pay attention during lectures because you just might get a pop quiz if a cell phone goes off (and it can happen twice in a single class).

Dr. Bird is very intelligent, animated, and is able to reach the student. At first I feared the content too extensive even for an overview,but later saw it was utilized as effectively as possible by Dr. Bird. I dont think anyone else could pull off conveying that much material better than Dr.Bird, so for that I MUST give a thumbs up!

Very cool, interesting, patient and helpful. Not a boring class. uses PowerPoint to go over material and will hand out lecture notes for you to follow along. Exams are 100pts 75pts question and a 25 point essay question. HATES CELL PHONES, pop quiz if one goes off and its a 10pt quiz which can help you or go against you. overall great teacher A+

Dr. Bird is a tough professor, however he really knows his stuff. If you show up to class, do all your homework & lab assignments and really study your notes you'll get a good grade. Just make sure your cell phone is turned off during lecture or it's an automatic pop quiz! I highly recommend taking his class, you'll learn a lot!

Professor Bird's class can be as easy or hard as you choose. He is very clear about his expectations on the first day of class: as long as you show the effort and follow the syllabus, you can pass. I appreciated his unique way of teaching the vast amount of complicated material and learned a lot from Professor Bird.

Overall a very good teacher. He made lessons very interesting. The final grade isn't based on just the tests you take, but homework, quizzes, and labs which gives you a very good opportunity to get a good grade. As long as you do the work and study this class isn't too hard and actually pretty interesting.

overall a good teacher. He has high expectations from his students so if you aren't willing to put in the time to study and do the work, your grade will reflect. Lecture exams can be intense but he gives you many opportunites to help your grade with homework. Tells it like it is, extremely approachable and helpful, creates a relaxing environment.

This class was a great learning experience. Taking it the second time around I learned more and it made more sense. Even though, this was a tough class he was always there to help his students out when ever needed.

I was a little skeptical about this professor but I really did enjoy the class. He is an excellent teacher and I learned quite a a bit of information from him concerning nutrition and vitamins and ways to improve your overall health. He tends to be long with the lectures at times but does keep you engaged.

Dr. Bird is great! I was a little worried since bio is not the easiest material but his method of explaining things and tying it to everyday life makes it sooo much easier to understand. Bret's a good egg youknowimsayin? He was very helpful and knowleggeable about every subject presented, and even can give you great answers to a curveball of a question. I would take a class taught by him again. Also sometimes I lay awake at night wondering what things a man must do to get a beard nearing the quality of his.

Excellent professor. He is hilarious and you will never forget taking his class. He connects everything not only to the textbook, but to life. You will learn a lot in his class; he's not exactly mainstream but I think that's a good thing. As long as you pay attention and plan on studying you will do fine.

Dr. Bird is a great professor. If you study, do the labs, pay attention in class, and read you will do fine. He does not set you up to fail. He's a fair grader and all of your assignments come back quickly!!! Go to class with an open mind and I promise you will not regret it! Loved this class.

If you ever want to go for a career in health sciences, take Bird. He really knows his stuff. It's not my intended profession, but he knows his stuff when it comes to that subject, and human biology in general.

Great teacher as far as the subject goes has a great sense of humor, however if you are looking tonot major in sciences and are just taking the coarse for reccomendation I would find somone else.. othese this is your class!!

The class is very fun and easy, but there's a lot of work. You must participate in labs because the experiments will be material that's on the lab exams. You should take good notes and really study for the tests because they can be really tricky. If you don't show up to class you miss alot. Dr. Bird is an overall easy going and fun person.

Profesaor Bird is a great guy. Unfortunately, there is just a lot to cover in human bio so it is a challenge to keep up in class. He's a teacher who lets you be independent so he isn't constantly reminding you to do reading or what's due because it's on the syllabus.. he's also willing to compromise if you talk with him

Overall pretty cool class, learned a lot and it was an enjoyable class during an arduous semester. A little scattered with the notes, but nothing detrimental. Its a plus to have a teacher who enjoys teaching and not a drone asking you to spit back information.

The information provided in this course was above and beyond what I expected. Besides the near perfect lecturing, I felt I was learning something meaningful and worthwhile. Really good guy, seems to have too much knowledge and has a hard time breaking it down. Really enthusiastic and overall an enjoyable class, you'll learn a lot if you work for it.

Took BIO115 because I needed the science credit and wasn't really looking forward to it at all. However Dr. Bird is a one of a kind professor. I'm really glad I had this class because not only did I learn a lot about my own body, but he gave me knowledge that I will use outside of his classroom for the rest of my life. It's not easy, but worth it.

Dr. Bird obviously cares about what he's teaching, that his students are learning something from his class and he seems to know what he's talking about. He can get distracted easily, his handwriting can be a bit hard to decipher when he writes notes on the board and he emphasizes his personal opinions about certain topics a little too much.
