You have to be an idiot to fail his class. He gives you all the formulas for all tests. Quizes are selected homework problems, which he lets you copy directly from your homework. There is one project but don't worry it's very simple. This class is too easy with him teaching, it should be illegal

he is a very good teacher who really cares about his students doing well in the class. his lectures are sometimes hard to follow but he is extremely helpful if you go to his office and he tells you EXACTLY what will be on the test and gives you all the formulas. not difficult at all.

Very fair teacher. His lectures are long and too wordy but his tests are not too bad. He gives you all the formulas for the test and shows you how to do everything on your calculator. Very anal about attendance. Overall, take his class!

Brett is probably the "clearest speaking" professor I have ever had. He makes Stats almost seem as if it were elementary. When a professor can do this - you know he knows his material well!

I would recomend this professor to anyone. His lectures are sometimes confusing, but if you go to his office for help, he is more than willing to help you. His test are very easy. As long as you show up for class and get help from him, if needed,you will be fine in this class.

good teacher and very helpful especially in office hours. Gives you a study guide before every test with the exact test material. VERY strict about attendance, though, and will drop you a whole letter grade if you miss more than a few classes.

He is very clear, uses powerpoint lectures. He isnt THAT bad about attendence and only takes roll on Fridays. I am NOT a math person and I have a very high B average so far.

He is a very good teacher but his test are kind of hard. The type of class that you have to put a lot of time in. He grades kind of hard as well, but but is a very good professor.

Weekly quiz taken from homework problem. Do your homework and your get a good quiz grade. Good Professor, but grading on test is somewhat anal. I got point taken off for missing a colon. and 1pt off for writing a "U" instead of a "Mu" sign. its a u with a left squiggly line.

Stats is a very hard course and this professor put my anxitey to ease from day one. He is an excellent professor.I'm not a math person and I passed all the exams with flying colors and recieved an A in the course.I highly recommend him just do your homework and come to every class and you'll do fine

I would highly reccomend this teacher. All of his lectures are in Powerpoint and online at his website. He gives comprehensive reviews before every test and quizzes are all homework problems. He makes a very intimidating class much easier. If you have to take this class, Holbrook is the man.

WOW! what a great professor I was so scared to take this class but this teacher is great Hes very helpful clear and tests what he teaches there were never any suprises. Very helpful at office hours, In the begining I felt like I was bugging him(because of past experiences with other instructors)but he encouraged me to come to his office for help

Great teacher, Great class! I don't think anyone can teach statistics better than Holbrook. His lectures are as clear as they can be. Labs (only 3 of them) are extremely easy. Hint: You MUST do the homework and go to class. He doesn't collect HW but if you do it, you have a guaranteed A in this class. Definitly recommend!

Very classy professor. His lectures are very clear with the use of powerpoint. He pretty much tells everything is going to be on the exam. He sometimes gives group quizes. Very easy professor.

Looking back, I am very glad I had Brett for Statistics. The knowledge learned from him has been useful in many other higher level classes. In his class you really do learn the material, and while it is a hard topic, he does his best to keep it fun. The tests can be challenging, but are OK if you have been keeping up with the homework.

Holbrook is great! He tells you what's going to be on the tests and gives quizzes off the homework questions. If you're going to not come to class or do the homework, take a bad teacher - this guy doesn't deserve it. Truly an exceptional teacher.

Boring, but what class for two hours twice a week isn't? I feel like I understand in class, but when I get home it just doesn't stick. Quizzes are really easy (group quizzes with questions pulled from the homework).

He was an excellent teacher. He is always more than happy to help you out when you are stuck. You get to have group quizzes and the tests are pretty easy, except for one. Just make sure you do your homework. Quiz questions come from the homework. Also, try doing the homework the day you went over the notes.

Mr.Holbrook is the best teacher to take for STATS. He makes it easy to understand. His test are not to bad and you can print out all the class notes. Take him if you can!

I cannot stress how great an instructor Brett is. He is very well organized and is willing to help at all times. The group quizzes are easy if you do your homework and the tests are farely simple as well. If you just pay a little attention during his lectures, then you'll do fine. I took Stats in high school and this was much easier.

I hate math. Always failed. Took Holbrook, left with a B. Stats is a hard class,but Holbrook teachin style is fly.He's always available for help. Only teaches what you need to know. Prints out review sheets that are exact material thats on the 4 tests. Quiz's come from HW, not hard. Probably best class I have ever takin out my 58 credit hours.

Awesome teacher...dont hesitate to take him....i will admit that the power point presentations do get a little boring sometimes, but he really knows what hes talking about. He is a really excellent teacher and a really nice, easy going guy.

Really nice guy and class is not too hard considering it is stats. Gives 4 tests and one cumlative final but reviews for them all so they are not too difficult. Gives quizzes based completely off the hw - which if you do it there is a lot. Just pay attention in class and go to class and youll be fine. I never did the hw and I am gonna leave w/ an A

He teaches from PowerPoint. You can print the notes from online, but you still have to show up for class. Group quizzes based on homework. Reviews before tests are extremely helpful. Gives you a formula sheet for exams.

I am in the online class and while the material is hard, he provides great resources for help. Book is not that great and math lab tutors are a bit afraid to help because of it. I was a bit upset about the test days being specific days w/ no deviation-so don't get sick! or have another class. I lost grade points in another class because of this.

Prof. Holbrook is a wonderful prof: clear, to-the-point, & helpful. Tests are based on HW and quizzes are exact HW probs...so do the HW. Test reviews before each test are very helpful; so are the PowerPoint slides you can print off his website. He made Stats interesting!

Really nice guy. Study guides are very helpful on tests. He lets you know exactly what is going to be on the tests. Quizzes are based on homework assignments. You can use your homework, your book, and the people in your group for the quizzes. Pretty easy class the way he teaches it. I recommend him to anyone that needs a math credit.

He's very helpful if needed. You're assigned HW, which you simply C&P onto the weekly quizzes. He gives you podcasts, handouts, presentations/slideshows to help you. The exams are a bit tough, but doable. Be able to memorize the meaning of symbols.

Mr. Holbrook is really adamant about getting a chili pepper so I told him Id give him one because he was so persistent. But he is a GREAT teacher and is every helpful and this is coming from someone who is not getting an A in the class. You’re the man Holbrook.

Excellent professor!

This professor is awesome. He does worry a bit about students who take the class off campus because it is a challenging course; however, his slideshows and voice lectures make you feel like you are in class. If you are strong in math, you can definitely take this class online, otherwise, be cautious; you may need the classroom discussions,etc.

Brett is awesome! He makes stats really understandable and manageable. I couldn't imagine a better stats prof. He knows a lot and it shows!

I had Brett last fall for this class. I got to say suprisingly not to bad of a teacher. I did have a couple issue mainly with the quizes. There group quizes and it lets some people get by without doing thier homework. Besides that he is very laid back and put evry thing on power point( which you can print off yourself) which I liked alot from him.

If you struggle with studying in general and are not willing to use the time for homework and office hours every once in a while, definitely don't take this class during summer. I have a knack for math but I hadn't taken a math class in at least 5 years. I took this class online during Spring 08 and Brett gives you everything you need to pass. Read the text! There is no coasting in this class. His lecture MP3's, .ppt files and test reviews will get you through this course if you make the time. Great teacher, hard subject.

He is an easy teacher. Class is mandatory and kinda boring, but it is helpful to go to class. Before tests he gives you a review and that is exactly what is on the test. I don't know how someone could fail a test if they make sure to know everything on the review. I'm not sure how much I actually learned about stats, but I got an A+++. It was easy.

Online class was very doable, but you do have to participate and do your homework. Mr. Holbrook tells you everything you need to know for the tests, but you have to learn it using the homework and podcasts.

The material is pretty dry, basic stuff, so I found the lectures to be a bit dull at times; not much Holbrook can do about that, and the slowish pace probably helps the students less advanced in maths. I took the class online and preferred it, but it's not for undisciplined students -- it is a little harder than an on-campus class.

Took class online. Lot of self learning, but voice lectures/podcasts and note outlines available for every chapter. If you do the hwk, do the quizes, and go through the outlines while listening to the voice lecture, you will do fine. It's not hard material, but if you don't keep up w/ the work, material can be confusing. Test 2 is hardest of all 3.

This online class is very hard if you're not a mathmatical person. Prof Holbrook does provide you with power point slides, podcasts and voice lectures for each chapter. His exam reviews tell you what's going to be on exams, but exams are hard. Very hard to interpret the learned info with the exam's word problems. He's a nice guy. Loves statistics.

online class was hard but clear cut. I got married during the semester but stayed on top of my HW, quizzes and lectures most of the time and pulled off an A. He tells you what you need to study for each test, even the final, so you put in a decent amt of work, you'll get a good grade.

Good teacher,stickler with attendance which is annoying because the material is really easy. Even if we knew the material- which was the whole semester for me- we had to go and sit through the boring slides. This class is elementary level math and he acts like it's hard

I took for summer A and i m so bad in stat but still I got B grade...he took 3 test which was 60 % + final 20% + 5% attendence + quiz and lab work as overall grade. He gives everything which will appear on the test or on final...I would say that take him for half semester. He knows everything and he is organize with everything.

Took his class online. He provides power points and audio files from the actual class. I mostly just used the textbook and got all A's. His exam study guides are concise and cover everything on this exam. Weekly quizzes cover assigned homework.

I dont know why brett gets such bad reviews? I took his online class, and it was one of the best online classes ive ever taken. I am not a math person, but the information and resources he provides are great. I received an A, and from his lectures he seems like a pretty cool guy. His test reviews are the exact test.. how can you do bad?

I have taken 3 classes with Holbrook and have managed good solid grades in all of them. His classes are very informative and easy to understand. He is very helpful and puts a large amount of effort into his classes and presentations. Take his class if you can you will not regret it.

Brett Holbrook is the best professor that I've taken at Santa Fe. I took his online class, and he made it extremely easy to follow. His presentation is great, he provides voice lectures, Podcasts, and Powerpoints. Exam reviews cover all material on the exam and are very helpful. Best lectures I've heard from a Santa Fe professor. I took his stats class online. It is the best online class I've ever taken and I'm taking all my classes online. He has so much info available and is very helpful. As long as you do hw you will get an A on quizes. Do the review and get a good grade on test! He spells it out for you and helps if you are still confused. Take him!

Holbrook was awesome. I'm NOT great at math and I took this class online and he was awesome. Posted powerpoints and lecture notes for each chapter and the work was done through MyMathLab with plenty of time to complete the work. The final was a breeze if you've done any of the online homework! Take this class with this guy!!!

This guy is amazing. I failed stats last year. I could not get my degree because I have dycalculia, a disability. He made it so understandable! I wish the last professor would have taught like Holbrook. I understand Stats now, thanks to this amazing Prof. Thankyou Prof Holbrook for being patient with me. I appreciate the extra effort. This guy is awesome! He tells you exactly whats on tests & gives you the formulas, you don't have to know anything. Listen to lectures online or go to class and DO NOT OPEN THE BOOK its just confusing the professor will make it easy. DO THE HOMEWORK the quiz's are the exact homework problems. Any math is extremely hard 4 me but still got an A!!!

Brett's homework and tests are fair. He doesn't give an extreme amount of HW. He is very clear in class, but he will take off points of your wording isn't exactly what he wants. You need to take him if given the op. highly recommend!

Mr. Holbrook is a great teacher! I have never been strong in math classes, but Mr.Holbrook makes everything clear and easy. Do the homework he assigns because your quiz grades are based off of it. I would def take him again!

Don't think that stats is an easy class because it is not. If you are smart you will not take this class on line. If you do, make sure you are able to find a tutor. Mr. Holbrook is as helpful as he can be with the use of computer. Quizes are straight from the HW problems so make sure you complete all problems.

Professor Holbrook is awesome. He doesn't try to trick you on the exams and gives you plenty of sources to study from. My only complaint is the online quizzes, for some reason I struggled with them even though they come straight from your homework.

Professor Holbrook is a great professor IF you put the time in BUT he is one of those professors that does not care if you got in a car accient or your electricity went out or if your computer/calculator broke, he does not make any exceptions. If something goes wrong whether it is your fault or not it falls on you. Just be prepared.

He gives great notes and gives real life examples. If you keep up with your homework and study the exam review and redo homework problems then you will do fine.

I am not strong in math.Used MyMathLab for all the work that was quite helpful. Was easy to stay on track if you login regularly. Was hard for me because I have been out of school 30 yrs. Would recommend this class. Tests are HARD.

Do the homework! I took the class online and didn't pay attention to the homework until the end and that's we're the quiz questions come from so my quizzes suffered. The exams are right off of the reviews. It's was difficult for me until I cracked down and studied every chapter. Be sure to study the powerpoints

Prior to this class, I had ZERO interest in learning statistics. However, this professor actually made the subject interesting and fun. He is very clear when teaching and makes everything so easy to understand. Plus, he's really laid back and funny. I ended up really enjoying the class and I learned a lot from him.The textbook is required.

He is a very great professor, knows how to teach, and wants his students to pass. However, his exams are very difficult and tricky. He has exams review sheets and a review day. He teaches everything there is to know about Stats. 3 exams, and a comprehensive final. Quizzes based off Homework. Do I recommend? No. Take someone easier.

BEST online stats professor! He uploads in-class lectures, posts pictures of the whiteboard from his on campus class, posts podcasts and powerpoints. This is the best online course I've ever taken. He made online feel like in class. Explains things very well. Happy with my decision to take him! :)

The best statistics professor there is ! Do not take his class online, that would be very difficult. Do the homework and attend class, take notes and be attentive and you will pass. Review the material on the study guide and you will do very well on tests. Attendance is considered extra credit. Worth it, it bumped my grade up 3 points.

You must read chapters to understand hw problems. Quizzes are open book and open hw, and he chooses hw problems for the quizzes. He provides video lectures, podcasts, pictures, and exam reviews. You have all the resources you need to be successful, as long as you use them.

The second time I have taken him. Great Professor in this class and Stats. Do your work and study a bit and you will have no problem.

Took this course online, he has Great video lectures, you can literally just watch the video lectures each week, do the HW and pass the class, book is needed for HW, but besides that he provides so much material to study with, video lectures, Pod casts(audio lectures) and Power point reviews. one of the best online classes I've ever taken.

Professor Holbrook is very good at teaching and he has a copious amount of lecture notes available on canvas. While the class isn't the most interesting, it is possible to get an A if you do the work. He also helps you out whenever you need it and has detailed test reviews that are very helpful.

Stats is not an easy subject but Holbrook made this an easier class. I took this course online. I read the chapter, watched the lecture videos with the PPT's printed in front of me, completed the homework and was prepared for the quizzes. If you take advantage of his review PPT notes and videos it covers everything on the tests. Great teacher!

Brett Holbrook was a great professor! He was always spoke very clear, had many examples, and was funny at times. His lectures do get very long and kind of boring, but hey its stats how exciting can it be. He goes over the exam review in detail before each test and he never throws any curve balls. I took him online for Stats! His lectures are videos he recorded directly from his in-classes. And as long as you watch the lectures you'll do fine. He also gives you exam review lectures, which help a ton. He assigns quizzes for every chapter that are due at the end of the week and they're based on the homework he assigns from the book, so do it!

Professor B's class was a tough class. However, he has videos based on powerpoints. Sit& watch the videos, pay attention to the examples,& do the homework you'll be fine. Quizzes are based on the homework problems, so make sure you do them all& show work as you would have to upload a picture of it. You do teach yourself, but he helps! Study a lot!

Although I took this class online you can tell in his lecture videos that he is passionate about the subject. I wish other online classes were like his. He has his video lectures which are from his actually class, podcast and power points. The quizzes are easy to pass if you do the homework. The test can be hard but if you study you will be fine.

I enjoyed this class with this Professor. I am not strong with math, but this class was very manageable for me. 4 tests, he drops the lowest. Few homework assignments, he drops the 4 lowest. He seems really nice and attentive. Good class and good professor. I would recommend this class with him.

I very much enjoyed professor Holbrook, you can really tell he cares about his students and wants you to enjoy the class. Quizzes are on the homework questions and you do them in a group. He gives a study guide which is basically the exam. If you just go to class, do the homework (which is a few problems) and study the study guides you'll do great.

I had Holbrook for Stats online, which is 100% the way to go. The lectures are on canvas and you can watch them over and over. The class was great, I really enjoyed stats. Quizzes due on Sunday's, HW not required, however, he pulls the quiz questions from the HW, so its a good idea to do the practice so you can upload of copy and paste.

I LOVE Brett. He is one of the nicest chill professors I have had. Although, he does not play. He will tell you how it is and what he expects, but he gives you everything in DATES on paper, that you will do and go over. There is really no reason to fail his class because he gives open note group quizzes, and amazing review days and study guides.

Mr. Holbrook was a great teacher! I really enjoyed his class. I think if I hadn't overloaded myself this semester I would have definitely ended the class with an A. It's easy. Just do your homework. Notes are allowed on all 4 exams, except the final. Super easy. He was very quick to answer any emails and very helpful. Definitely recommend.

There are not very many assignments so every grade matters. The material is tough but Holbrook knows what he is talking about so if you have any questions just ask him and he will make sure you understand.

Personally I loved his lectures. Straight to the point. He thanks you for questions which makes you feel comfortable about asking. He is a tough grader but he practically tells you what to study for. I withdrew but only because the class moved online due to COVID19.

Best math professor I've ever had. Quizzes are based off of homework questions, so if you're doing well on the homework it's easy to get 100% on a quiz. Homework is not over assigned, and he has answers posted to check your work. He uses all his own lecture material. If it's not on the study guide, it's not on the test. Formula sheets for tests!

Although he wont allow you to take exams any other day then originally scheduled, hes very clear about what curriculum will be on them. If you apply yourself you will pass.

I'm not good at math so this professor was perfect for me. He explains it in non-math ways, more relating it to the real world. Just do the notes and watch the lectures and you should be okay on the exams. The syllabus is very clear and he puts all of his assignments out on day one, so there's no confusion. Highly reccomend.

Professor Holbrook tried to make taking STAT2023 on a bit easier by providing video and audio lectures. Responses are fast, but no later work will be accepted for any reason. My only complaint is that the course is very test/exam heavy. There are no other assignments helping with your grade point average.

I loved Professor Holbrook's class! I took stats online, and I'm not the best at math. His lecture videos were very clear and understandable. His weekly quizzes were based off homework problems from the textbook, so you NEED to buy it. Any questions I had, he answered. Would definitely recommend taking him.

Professor Holbrook has been one of my favorite professors at Santa Fe. I am not great at math, but he made it VERY clear to understand. I am doing the online class. I love that the lectures are recorded, so you can view them as many times as you want to. There is a lot of reading from the book, and homework. But he is clear about what to expect!

Professor Holbrook is a pretty good instructor in Statisitics, but if you want to pass this course...study hard and pass the exams.

Definitely knows what he's talking about and is passionate about his work. His instructions are clear, and he makes sure to give students help in and outside of class before exams. The homework and quizzes are related, AND the quizzes are done in groups. If you study well for the exams and make sure to do your homework, it'll be hard to fail.

Profesor Holbrook was one of the best professors I've had. The quizzes are questions pulled from the homework so as long as you do the homework you can just copy the answer into the quizzes. Also the study guides for the tests are very equivalent to what's actually on the test so as long as you study it and understand it you're gonna be fine.

The class was enjoyable, quizzes were straight off the homework and group quizzes, and notes were easy to understand and straightforward. Tests were everything off the test reviews. He is fast-paced but that was never a problem for me or the students next to me.

This class is definitely an easy A, it uses My Math Lab for all of the Homework, 4 exams, and a final. You can use your notes on all of the exams except for the final.

Professor Holbrook runs a straightforward course. Studying his study guides and attending online lectures, which are great for extra practice, are key to doing well. unstuck ai also helped me prepare for exams.

He's pretty straightforward with what he wants. He also has video lectures online for more practice. Just study what his study guides of over in the course and you should be just fine. The only issue I had was that there was a lot of questions on the test to solve in a short time. I was able to finish, but didn't have the time to review my answers

I really like this professor. He is very clear about what you should study and know for the test. The homework is very helpful since his quizzes are just like the homework question. Overall, as long as you do the work and study for the test,everything should work out fine.

HE WAS SO GOOD. Def go to his office hours they are super helpful. The homework is kind of annoying but it wasnt too bad. Pay attention in class. His study guides are amazing if you have everything on them down you'll get an A. Highly recommend!

Love him! Best math prof I've had. My friend and I went to his office hours before every test, and he is so helpful and caring. He really wants you to do well and responds to emails super fast. Great study guides, I wish all professors went over exams as he did. Go to class and participate and you cannot fail.

I thoroughly enjoyed having Professor Holbrook as my stats professor. I only needed to pass the class so I didn't try THAT hard and still passed. If you want an A, you absolutely have to put the time in to watch lectures, study, and practice the problems (I know, but it's worth it). Holbrook is nice and genuinely wants his students to pass.

As someone who's usually really bad at math, I highly recommend prof Holbrook. There are study guides before each exam that clearly outline exactly what you need to know which makes studying really easy. All lectures are uploaded online and quizzes are group work with questions that come from homework already complete.1 downside tests are worth 80%

There is no extra credit. If you watch all the lectures and do the homework you should be able to keep up fairly easily. Takes effort, and if you take the course online you will have to work mostly on your own.

This man is a gift from God. He was put on this earth to teach and it shows, he actually cares about you and likes to teach and its noticeable. He has great lectures, and each quiz is in your group you pick at the beginning of the semester. Best math professor ever!
