Prof. Adler wasn't on this site before I took his class, so I was nervous about the semester starting. But now that spring is over, I can say that this has been the BEST english class I've ever taken. Just do the readings, participate in class and you're guaranteed at LEAST a B. He makes class AWESOME and english INTERESTING. You won't regret it.
Awesome teacher! Show him that you care, if you need help he is always available and makes plenty of time to answer all of your questions. Do the reading because it helps you when you write essays later. Overall, amazing and enthusiastic teacher.. Take him!!!
He is an amazing professor! Young, vibrant, funny and a fair grader. He doesn't expect you to be the most intelligent writer, but does expect EFFORT. He is very approachable & sweet! Very passionate about literature & helping his students become better writers. PCC needs more professors like him!!
I had him for English 900 and all I can say is that he is very enthusiastic even though our class meetings were from 8:00 to 9:00 pm. He seems very nice and approachable :)
One of the best teacher I have ever had in my life. Very helpful, vibrant, funny and entertaining. He knows what teaching is. Take him, you wont regret it.
Professor Alder is a great professor who cares about his students. Super understanding and approachable when you need help with your writting.
For anyone who is a Dr. Who fan, this guy looks like and acts like the 10th Doctor. Extremely enthusiastic and jumping all over the place. Very funny as well. Tries very hard to get the class motivated, no matter how tired he is.
My second class while attending PCC and the experience was great! He is one of the greatest english teachers ive ever had! TAKE HIM! Overall, truly cares about you and youre learning. Pretty funny guy, as well.
Professor Adler is an overall caring guy. He truly wants you to succeed and makes sure that everyone understands the material. Always sends reminders through canvas and emails you back quickly.
Professor Adler is always full of energy and enthusiastic towards the material he teaches which shows that he likes his job. He is very approachable, easy going and cares for his students.
Great teacher! Smart & he's dedicated to his students (and good looking too).

Professor Adler is THE BEST he is very enthusiastic person. If you ever need help or don't understand something he will always help you, He cares about his student and wants you to get an A.I recommend you to take him if you are not good at English or has struggled with English. Easy A too if you do all your work and you try. TAKE HIM !!!
Prof Adler is best. Be prepared to work hard on writing. Not easy. Plus he makes you think and you get alot from his class. As he says it's about your head and hope to "change the world" Right Adler?
He's hard grader and serious in writting but Adler's an awesome teacher.
He is the greatest Professor ever.... Funny, awesome, energetic, and he actually teaches... I love when he is like "ok friends,,,.well No were not friends." :)" He gives everything that you need to know to pass the class. He is not easy because he won't tell you he makes you to find your own way of doing it... just great.. Highly recommend him
I took a morning class with him. I felt really bad for him because he was always full of energy and enthusiastic but my classmates were always unappreciative. He was very helpful and nice to me. Take his class if you can. His class gets full quickly.
Adler's a good teacher. Prepare to write. A lot.
He is a university professor. His classes are good & the man can teach. He showed me literature. BUT YOU HAVE TO READ and you have to do the WORK.
Professor Adler is a HOTTIE ! he is so handsome , seriously thanks to him i now enjoy writing and reading. He has changed my life in many way and see like as to change the world. He will help you with anything , he is the best i love his personality always positive and he enjoys presentations (: take him he might change the way you think of writing
Very understanding, very interesting, and GREAT professor. Love love love the Bradler. 100% would take his class again. He will stay and go over information with you and he will listen to his students if he is giving out challenging work. He would postpone deadlines & really clarify things! & it doesn't hurt that he's cute
His classes are hard. He is a great proffessor.
Professor Adler is a gift to this school. His class is fun, engaging, and was more than worth my time. Adler is one of my favorite professors and is easily one of the best in the English department. Absolutely take him if you can.
ADLER ROCKS
Adler is funny, smart, and passionate about what he does. Fast talker and gives a lot of information but he's fun and encourages in-class discussions. A fair not easy grader. Answers emails and leaves DETAILED homework info on Canvas. It's a class for learners not slackers. Take him and "prepare to be dazzled". 2 in class essays and 3 take home.
Professor Adler is a great professor! I would really suggest taking his class. Yes there's a lot of reading and you need to do the work but if you do what he tells you what to do, it's honestly not that difficult. Just keep up with the work, go to class (although it's not mandatory), and pay attention. Don't slack! You get the grade you earn!!
I've been at PCC a while and I can say that Professor Adler is great. His English class is my favorite. He loves literature and it shows. You do have to work in his class but it is worth it. You can learn from him.
Adler is an awesome professor. He is a great teacher. The class is hard. It is a college class. I learned and I recommend him. I will miss his class.
He is a passionate and enthusiastic professor. To do good you have to dedicate to the class. It was a lot of work. I think an A may be impossible. My writing improved. Thanks Adler.
Professor Adler changed the way I think about literature and writing. I never liked it before, now I do. We did a lot of work, 5 essays in reading and writing, and we talked a lot about big ideas. We had a good class. I think we all liked him. 5 stars for him.
His class is definitely not easy, you must really work hard. Go to his office hours to get advice on essays. He is not a tough grader. He is definitely willing to help if you need it. Professor Adler is always full of energy, his lecture are very funny. He loves class discussions and would like for students to participate. Overall, great class
Adler is a great professor. He wants you to do well. But YOU HAVE TO WORK.
He is a very smart and enthusiastic professor who really cares about his students and hes really cute too.
I took creative writing and it was a wonderful class. We wrote everything. He gives a lot of feedback on each piece of your writing. He helped my feel like a writer. I would take this class again.
In English 30C we read a diverse selection, standards plus Asian American, African American, Latino & Native American. Two major papers and a presentation for the grade. The discussions were good. We talked about important issues. This is a very good class. Professor Adler is smart and he cares.
Thanks to Adler, I learned about literature. Thank you for my favorite English class!!
Professor Adler is one great professor. He truly teaches and his classes are good.
Adler was AWESOME! His lectures are clear and his class is always fun! He explains his assignments over and over again to make sure you don't have any questions or concerns. Open and easy to talk to, will help you if anything comes up and need time to finish or can't meet deadlines. LOVE HIM! Take him if you can, won't regret it.
The best English professor.
Good teaching ability. Covers the assigned material. and Professor Adler is into it. Got fast and smart teaching style. Professional, He is also funny, if you get it. You will be lucky to get into his class. His classes fill up quick.
Just finishing 1B. It was a great class. He makes you work. The classes and literature are very good. If you dont know Professor Adler is an amazing teacher of literarture .
Amazing Professor, lectures are amazing. Must take class.
One of the best English teachers on campus. Don't skip out on taking him. Helpful, clear, and easy if you put in the work. Just READ. Just DO IT and I promise this class is the easiest A. Great professor, really helpful and clear. Polish up your essay skills, read, and attend class and it'll all be worth it!
Professor Adler is an excellent teacher. Very knowledgeable and is passionate about the subject he teaches. He's very quirky and has a lot of energy when teaching which makes the lessons interesting. Tough grader. You definitely have to work hard and put effort in your work but he gives great feedback and really cares for his students success.
The class is challenging. He is inspirational and a really good teacher.
Adler is a cool teacher. His essay is not so hard only if you read. For the take home essays, he raises the limit by one page, but it's not much work to do. For the in-class essays, you can write as much you as you can.
I took him last spring semester and LOVED him. He's quirky, energetic, enthusiastic, and a GREAT teacher. It just sucked that my class was painfully quiet and rarely participated in discussions. Other than that he's definitely my favorite teacher I've had in pcc so far. English is my worst subject but I managed to get a B in his class.
I finished summer intensive class. Adler is a motivating and caring professor. He made me interested in literature. It was a great class. He is amazing.
Must take his class because your writing will improve & you will enjoy literature with him. He is very helpful to his students. He provides critical but necessary feedback that will improve your writing for the next essay. Time passes by fast b/c the topics are interesting. It is a lot of work trying to balance the readings and writings - possible.
He turned my life academic life around! He made me love, understand and even look forward to coming to class. He is simpathic, inspirational and the BEST English Professor you will EVER know! Take the STACC English with him and you will learn so much. Best best 2 semesters. Oh how I wish others profs. cared as much as he did ! Will miss him!
OMG take Professor Adler Class. He is smart, funny, and great at teaching. He teaches about different methods of writing of different types of literature. Your writing will improve along with confidence for writing. This class is educational and entertaining. You will enjoy coming to class. Other teachers should learn from his teaching methods.
Adler is the best professor ever! I am serious. I was horrible at writing but he changed my life. He will try his best to teach you to become a better writer. I took his class at 7 a.m and I actually enjoyed attending his class. He is such a sweet caring person who really cares about his students. Take his class!!! He is the best professor ever.
It's hard to get his classes. See the reviews. The thing is he is not easy but he is a good teacher. I learned about writing. I liked professor adler alot. I would take all of his classes.
Prof Adler makes English fun, and truly cares about your understanding in the material. He is an easy grader overall, but does make you work for it, just make sure you give the essays your best. He is dedicated to his students, and is so HILARIOUS! He's really a good looking, amazing, just great teacher to have for any English course. TAKE HIM!
Profsser Adler , very energetic and goofy. Makes his classroom feel comfy. Well organized and lectures are great. He was really caring and cared and asked for all his students opinions cuse it mattered to him.
He is a very enthusiastic and energetic professor, but his class leaves much to wish for. It was pretty boring. I missed class a lot but I still passed with a good grade. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to speak in front of the class.
In 5A creative writing classroom wasn't good, but Adler is good. He helped me write and find my voice. He cares and he helps writers. If you are not serious about writing and working do not take this class.
I love professors that are passionate about their jobs and Professor Adler is just that. He is very lively and he makes the course material very easy and bearable. He provides a lot of examples, answer questions and provides tons of feedback. I am a better writer because of him. He offers help by conducting clinics
We read a lot of short stories, poems, and plays that I had never read before. Do not miss class and complete the required reading. Always do the homework and the reading. If you don't you're only hurting yourself. Buy a book or print out the literature pieces because annotating is absolutely helpful.
Adler is the man for English 1B. He has professional ability, great teaching style and conveys the material clearly. You will write a lot. Don't slack!! You get out what you put in!!!
Professor Adler is good
He is a smart and good teacher. You have to write a lot in composition classes. I would take him.
I went on PCC's Theater in London program & it's English 135. The trip was great. We saw London and Oxford, and amazing plays. It is cool program. Try to go! It is a great opportunity & led by a very good professor. Adler is very nice. I will take classes by him. You should.
Because of this Adler's passion, I feel morally obligated to recommend taking his class. Adler is a massive dork and he comes into every class energized and excited to hear from his students. He makes it very obvious that he loves his job and the material that he assigns. He is willing to help his students in anyway he can. This guy is such a gem!
honestly i didn't think i'd like writing til i got into his class. real dorky + cool guy. its hard to find someone as enthusiastic as he is on teaching. u gotta work hard to get an A but take his class if u wanna learn something.
In English 53 literature class he wants discussion. Grade based on 2 papers, presentation of work and participating. He wants students to find their own way through poetry. You catch him outside of class, he's super smart. I've taken 2 classes with Adler and would take more. He's the best.
This was my second semester taking Adler and I'm glad I did,I have came a long way while being in his class. I learned so much from him and learning my own weakness and strengths through my literacy . He was so energetic while teaching, patient, and leniant. There will be a lot of class discussions with classmates fyi. I highly recommend taking him
I had Adler for 2 semesters in the STACC program for ENG 100 and ENG 1A. He is very welcoming and dorky. He really cares about his students and he is really organized, funny, passionate, and motivating. Great professor. I highly recommend him!!
Adler was hands down the best professor I've ever taken. He explains things clearly, and really wants his students to LEARN. I recommend that you actually try to take part in class discussions - it helps you learn better and you'll end up having great conversations. He's a very smart and open-minded man. I genuinely enjoyed his class!
Adler is the man for literature. He knows so much, but wants to hear from you. We had discussions. Your read a lot and write papers. You present your work at the end. Adler really is great and I say miss his classes.
Brian Adler is a reaaaaaally fantastic professor!! To be honest, my first language is not English, so I was very nervous about taking his English 1A "honors" class. FIY, I got B from Eng 400 and C from Eng 100. Contrary to my expectation, I got A from his class. I think he Is quite lenient with international students. Many of my friends also got A!
I had Professor Adler for English 100 and English 1A as a part of the STACC program and he was amazing. He always very engaging and easy to talk to. He gives about five essays per semester and tries to help you as much as possible. He was by far the best English professor I could have taken.
Being in Professor Adlers class made me want to go on with my school. I learned and I now want to learn more. He helped me. He is the best of the professors.
honestly i didn't think i'd like writing til i got into his class. real dorky + cool guy. its hard to find someone as enthusiastic as he is on teaching. u gotta work hard to get an A but take his class if u wanna learn something
I heard about him and I had to take Adler and it's true, he is smart but chill. i like his teaching style. there was a lot to read but its a literature class. everyone should take ADLER
He is "good stuff"!
He is good stuff.
Adler is certainly one of the most passionate teachers I have ever meant. He also cares for his students and never comes across as scary. The class is based almost solely on essays. I took his honors class, and as someone who didn't take AP English in high school, the readings were difficult to comprehend and the essays aren't an easy A.
Very dorky and understanding guy. He is very passionate at teaching but also tough to earn A on essays. Doesn't post overall grades on canvas the whole semester. Barely any homework but lots of reading. We had to buy like 7 books and we only used like 4 of them. Tough readings but take him if you want chill English class (but be good at essays!)
Tough grader when it comes to essays but he really does try to help everyone get an A, he spends a lot of time going over each essay assignment. You will have to work hard to get an A in this class. Overall I really enjoyed this class, he really taught me a lot about writing and I feel more prepared for my next composition class.
Adlers English was a great class. It was the best English class I had. It as an honor to have him as a professor. It was an honors class and I worked so hard to get an A. The texts were interesting and I am a more advanced intellectual because of his class.
The best literature class I've taken. We read a lot of good literature and discussed it. He wants to hear from you. In my writing Professor Adler pushed me to think critically and write better. We had a very good class.
I took him for English 1AH. He's an amazing and motivational professor, to the point where it's hard to fall asleep. I didn't do much reading, and scraped along with an A. His grading is a little on the harder side, but he genuinely makes you a better writer, critic, etc. As long as you put in honest effort, you will be ok.
I really enjoyed Professor Adler's class! He is a super caring, passionate guy who definitely loves his job, and he really wants to see his students succeed. I found his class pretty easy. Just do the readings and write the papers he assigns. He never graded any of my assignments harshly and always gave great feedback.
I liked Professor Adler. Professor Adler helped me.
I'm taking Professor Adler now. He is a helpful and caring professor. In his E1b you read literature and you are graded on the essays. He tries to make class good
He is not clear on grading
After taking this professor you will hate English.
He is not straight forward especially when he tries to explain his lectures . when you ask him a question, he would leave you confused.
I love Brian. He is an amazing and chill dude. He is not that strict on grading but you somewhat have to work for an A. English is not my strongest subject but he really made me a better writer. I took him for Eng 100 too. He a nice dude and is always willing to help!
Adler is an inspirational professor who truly wants to see and help you succeed. He will provide constructive criticism that is helpful and specific, but not destructive to your confidence. Participate in the class discussions; they help! If you truly want to learn how to read, write, analyze, and grow as a scholar, don't miss out on his class.
He truly cares about his students. I found his class to be very fun. I grew immensely in every area of English. He is very passionate and funny. He works with you and is reasonable with everything.
Adler is an amazing professor. Please participate in his class, not because it is mandatory, but because so many people don't and he seemed lonely up there. He is really energetic and wants you to do really well, but so many people sat on their phones and I really felt bad for him. His essay prompts were flexible. Would take again.
HE REALLY IS THE BEST PROFESSOR. If you get the chance to take him, take him! He's really funny and his lectures are very interesting.
A man who loves what he teaches and teaches what he loves.
Prof. Adler is great. He cares so much about the subject material, it just makes the class a lot of fun. The essays can get long, but he does anything and everything to make sure you can get an A. I wish all professors had his enthusiasm, it would make learning a lot more enjoyable!
He made English a fun class and was always in a great mood!
Had him for ENG1A/1B, Creative Writing, Interpreting Poetry, Intro to the novel. Great guy, knows what he is doing.
Professor Adler is a great professor in PCC! Although you will feel stressful at the begining because of a lot of readings, you will feel how much progress you made till the mid or the end of the semesters. His Eng1A class is really useful for you to improve yourself, especialing critical thinking and writing. Take him. You won't regret.
Most forgettable class ive ever taken, boring and overrated professor
Adler is great. It was an inspirational class. We wrote and learned a lot.
A great professor! He truly wants all of his students to succeed, and is always accessible if you need help! Gives really good and helpful feedback.
Professor Adler is very helpful and wants the best for his students but the lectures can get a bit boring. Your grade is mainly determined by the 5 essays assigned throughout the semester.
Professor Adler is so invested in his classes and his students. He will take time out of his day to talk about your essays and your future plans for school. He is very personable and intelligent. Definitely one of the best profs in the department.
I took him years ago and he is still one of my favorite professors. He is very engaging, enthusiastic, and sets up the classroom environment for positive discussion. I am writing this now because, at the end of my academic journey, This class became part of who I am today. It has challenged me to think critically of text in a passionate way.
Professor Adler is great. I'm not a big English person but I thoroughly enjoyed his class. Discussions were engaging and I got a good exposure to various literary forms and literary criticism. In class essays are alright as long as you prepare. He's pretty tough on take home essays though, or maybe I'm just a bad writer...
Professor Adler is the best Professor Ive taken at PCC. Even though it was a short summer class, I learned so much. His assignments and expectations were always clear. You will learn from his class and besides that, he is really funny and extremely caring towards his students. He is the perfect example of what every Professor should be like!
Solid choice if you want to improve in English. Really cares about what he's teaching and the improvement of his students. He wants you to actually work and try your best, but you can tell it comes from a good place instead of the way some other professors pride themselves on grading work harshly. Take his class to learn, not for the easy A.
Professor Adler is the best. He cares for his students and likes to lighten the workload to help. He is not a tough grader and we did not have many essays. The essays don't count too much towards grade anyways which is good. Many discussion posts, but nothing difficult. All doable. He's great and if you have the chance you should take him.
You'll love his class. Granted, its poetry, but he really makes you feel welcomed. It was my first time writing poetry and it never felt awkward because he doesn't expect you to be Shakespeare. 9 poems in total, a website/ portfolio you have to present, and a couple other short writing assignments. He's very relaxed and fun, you won't regret it.
If you took AP Lit/Lang in hs take this class! Online because of covid. There were 3 essays(maj of grade)in total and a lot of discussion board posts all based on the readings which he provides the material for. For the final he gave the option of doing a presentation or essay! Do the work and be somewhat of a good essay writer and you'll get an A
Adler is the poetry man. My favorite class!
im usually not a fan of english but prof. adler was amazing and his overexcitement about the class made the meetings so fun. he's always open to meet you anytime to help you with papers or just talk. you'll have to do a bit of reading and critical thinking but its manageable and he always gives time extensions. this is one of my favorite professors
Adler is open and caring. He held online meetings when he didn't need to meet students. The class was on art theories and responses and 3 essays. I really learned. I feel smarter for taking the class.
Professor Adler is the best instructor I have ever had. He is the most caring, kindest and inspiring professor I have ever taken. His modules were organized and clear. Even though this was an online class, I learned immensely and enjoyed the readings that were assigned. Take him, you will truly learn and be extremely motivated.
The best English class I've taken. Prof. Adler is excited to teach and caring. He wants you to learn and helps. It was online and I enjoyed the weekly meetings. We were treated like scholars. I learned a lot.
Professor Adler I think is a solid English Professor. The class I took with him I think had a focus on poetry, which had its difficulties. Professor Adler really makes you work for the grade that you want, though I found some projects and instruction difficult, I would suggest you ask him questions to fully comprehend what he wants.
I took Professor Adler for English 1C. online and he had Zoom meetings. We went over readings and how to write 3 papers. The meetings were good. He wants students to talk. He's so caring and funny. He's a gem!
I loved Professor Adler!! He is one of the nicest professors at PCC! I would totally take any class of his again.
Had him for 5 classes (Intro to the Novel, Poetry, Creative Writing, English 1A/B). Great professor.
Took Professor Adler for E1C for Spring 22 and it was the best class I’ve taken in awhile. He likes to get students to really voice their thoughts and get the wheels turning in our brains! He’s not a harsh grader if you follow the rubric and really take advantage of the several peer reviews he offers in class time and outside of class.
Can't have asked for a better learning experience. He concerns himself more with actually teaching rather than focusing on heavily adhering to writing formats. Take this class if you wanna have educated conversations and fun talks as well.
I took his spring class fully online and he was by far one of the most amazing and inspirational professors I've taken at PCC! The way he teaches is very clear and straight to the point. He is very caring and will answer all of your questions. He never gave "busy work" because all the work he gave in his class was meant to help you in your essays.
Prof. Adler is caring and inspirational. We had an amazing creative writing class. It was the best college class.
Professor Adler was honestly the most caring Professor I've had at PCC so far. He truly cares about how you are doing in the class and has a passion for teaching. He gives such helpful feedback on essays which helps you improve your work for the next essay. Overall, he is a very understanding Professor and I genuinely enjoyed his class! 10/10 :)
If you can write decent essays or if you have taken AP lit in high school before, take him. Writings play a significant portion in your grade, so don't BS them and make sure to consult others to review your essay. He gives good feedback on your essays. The total amount of work is totally doable but I'd say this is not an easy "A".class.
Adler is the best professor I've ever had. It's so evident that he loves what he teaches/does. His positive attitude and self-deprecating nature are incredibly endearing. PROTECT THIS PRECIOUS HUMAN AT ALL COSTS! Course consisted of discussions and 3 essays (with peer reviews) based on the readings. Coursework builds up perfectly to final project.
He cool
Professor Adler is awesome!! He has a good sense of humor and brings good energy to his zooms. He gives good feedback on essays and responds fast to emails.
Such a W professor. Very understanding and a real down-to-earth guy outside the classroom.
Prof. Adler is full of energy and always smiling. He's passionate about language and writing and keeps the learning fun. I only wish he gave more feedback. We mostly did peer reviews, then toward the end of the course he offered to give individual feedback on a couple of pieces of our work. Wish I'd taken his class in person over the regular term!
Great creative writing class! The writing was fun. Adler encourgaed our voices. We wrote, did reviews of classmates, and got feedback from the professor. I want to take Adler's class again.
Professor Alder was by far the most enjoyable English professor I've had. Although the semester was only 6 weeks long, he ensured to be accessible for help with understanding assignments. Because it is a writing course, the assignments consisted of literature readings , discussion posts , peer reviews and 3 Essays. I definitely recommend him.
Adler held class meetings to help with online "asynchronous" class. He taught more about essays in an hour then I ever got before! He should teach all the English classes.
Prof Adler's class is quite easy. 2 essays and a final presentation make up basically the entire grade. Very lenient essay grader and gives good feedback. Replies pretty on canvas and is very personable. Almost impossible to get lower than an A as long as you put in decent effort on the essays. Only homework is like a discussion a week.
Took Prof. Adler in the fall of 2022 and he's one of the best English professors I've taken. His ENG001C class consists of three essays in a semester and weekly discussions. He's also a very humorous person who loves to make funny jokes in class. Rate him 90/100.
Adler holds meetings to help. We read historical writers and I learned. This is a good professor!
Prof Adler makes the class fun and engaging. The workload is manageable, with writing assignments and a final project. unstuck AI was super helpful for preparing. Would recommend to others.
The only thing I regret about taking Professor Adler's class is not taking it in person! Professor Adler's lectures are such a treat and are very informative, helpful, and entertaining. There is little homework but the assignments provided connect directly to the bigger essays and final project. A very fun, challenging, and helpful course!
Solid professor. Took the class online, I had some situation mid-semester and he was very helpful and understanding to my circumstances. The grading is pretty fair and straightforward. Would recommend.
Prof. Adler is super caring and understanding. He's flexible and open to chat about any issues you may have. Loads of interesting reads and fun lectures. If you opt for an in-person class, go to class! If you can't pls take it online, it's available. He puts effort into ensuring everyone's success by providing lots of resources. Great feedback too!
took him online in winter 2024-25. he had optional online lectures n posted recordings. i think for his class, it was a lil nerve-racking cuz he kinda took long on the grading, so i had to rough estimate of my final grade. but u do gotta put a lil work to get A. u have peer reviews- imo r helpful. he also posted the scans of textbook cuz he nice
He is the best professor for English. super nice and very understanding to his students, 3 papers that are important for your grade but they seemed so easy as we doo get peer review feedback. I would defiantly take any class that he teaches.
good prof! Took him online, there are about two discussions and two writing assignments a week, two essays and one final project( either essay or presentation ), prof Adler always gave useful suggestions on every works. But beware you do have to really many poems and articles
Fully online, but half weekly Zoom class meetings if you needed any clarification on assignments. Around one or two discussions or writing assignments per week, two essays and a final project where you either write an essay or do a presentation. Assigned a lot of readings but that only made the class more fun!
He gives 1 or 2 discussion hw per week, but all of them helped to write our 3 essays. He's super nice with grading; all of the hw were usually for completion credit but he's also really lenient when grading essays (class average was a high B+ for all of them). Tip: take notes while doing the hw so you can refer to them when writing essays.
I was a bit worried taking a short class, but was not so worried after it started. His class is very easy if you do your work. We had three papers that correlated to readings, but as long as you can read instructions, you should be fine. There are also discussion posts. Overall great teacher and an easy class.
Adler is genuinely the most kindhearted and caring professor. He really strives to make you succeed and his in person lectures are the best! His grading is pretty lenient for an honors class and he's very passionate about his work. If you have the option, take him in person-- it makes for a much better experience
Wow. I don't even know what to say. Professor Adler. He's an Amazing teacher. Funny, easy going, really great grader. Always willing to listen to ideas. Always happy and open to all the ideas students had during Zoom Meetings. Funny, loveable, and really smart. He's one of my most favorite Professors. I'm glad I have another course with him!:D
GOOD!!! Super cool professor. He has an unique teaching style, his movements, his shifts in volume remind me a little of Mr. Keating from Dead Poets Society. The reading materias are really interesting and inspirational. We have 3 essays intotal, the last one could be done in presentation. Spend enough time and you will be fine.
