He is a good teacher, but he is very hard.

Awsome instructor, difficult at times but you need to learn it and be able to apply it in the future, extremely supportative and takes a personal interest w/his students, well liked and brings humor to the table, need more like him

He was the best teacher ever!!!! He was hilarious and to the point but made it very interesting.

This professor is serious about his class. He is willing to help students understand. He tells great stories in lectures that relate to the subject and some are funny. If you need this class, I suggest taking Anatomy & Physiology with Brian Baumgardner. He is great!

Dr. B. is the best teacher I have had in college. He takes a difficult subject and does a great job teaching it.

Dr. B is an absolutely AWESOME professor. A&P is a pretty hard class but he explains it in a way that is very understandable. What a funny and cool guy too. Just remember to never skip class!! Also if you want to take his class you have to enroll on the first day. His class fills up in 20 minutes.

Awesome teacher! keeps things interesting, makes you want to come to class! I enjoy him a lot!!

dr b can be very nice and very mean it just depends on the class that you are with. he will go out of his way to explain stuff to you but if you ask dumb questions be prepared for "the look".

Dr. B is great!! I loved his class. It was hard, requires a lot of time and effort, but very worthwhile. I found Dr.B to be a helpful and caring teacher. If you have to take A&P enroll with him, he's the best!

Dr. B was so helpful in teaching this class that I am doing well in physiology which is a bear and many have already dropped. I think he explains the physiology well enough that it's come in handy for this harder course

The best teacher to take for Anatomy and Physiology. He knows what he is doing and you will too. If you memorize the lab list and read the chapers, you will do fine. P.S. He gives extra credit once in a while. In order to enjoy his class, dont say anything about smoking to him. Trust me.

Dr.B is an outstanding professor. I don't think our class realized it, until another professor came in as a substitute. He knows his stuff and has a lot of energy while sharing his knowledge with the class. Very HARD but, you will know what your talking about when you leave that class room. Kudos to a fantastic teacher.. Hint: He loves ART!

You won't find a better professor, but don't miss class, and don't be late. And his classes fill very quickly so plan accordingly.

Ecellent. Its like taking a science class for Steve Martin. Funny funny man. Expects a lot but is fair. Come to class everyday and you will do well. Register as soon as you can or you will be out of luck.

Dr B is the BEST

Dr. B is the best prof at JCCC. In the beginning of the semester, he is up front about his expectations and what you can expect from him. DON'T BE LATE AND DON'T GET HIM IN TROUBLE. You will work hard but you will get what out of it what you put in it. Do the practice online quizzes, know the Lab forms, study the study guides and you'll get an A.

Dr. B is interesting and fun, but not easy. You get what you work for. He puts a lot in to the lecture part, but for the lab part you are pretty much on your own to figure out what's what. Go to the open lab and practice so you'll do well. He's a Hoot - you won't be bored.

Dr. B is great. Even though it is a tough class, I enjoyed going. He is helpful and he really cares how you do. The best teacher I have had yet. He keeps it fun.

I was in the class with the girl who posted comments on5/15(right after final)and 5/29. She was hated by the whole class. She got in trouble for being late and was nasty to everybody. She is trying to hurt DrB and she DIDN'T get an A. If you want the BEST prof EVER take DrB. Just ask anybody!

you have to study outside of class alot, keep up on your labs and notes and he is a great lecturer. I have this class at 7:30 am and usually not a morning person buy he really holds my attention with his great lectures!

Dr. B is great. A & P is never an easy class, but he was clear and answered any questions we had. I rarely used my book as his lectures were enough to make an A on every test and I took it in the summer. We formed study groups for the lab parts and quizzed each other, that was sooo helpful. He made class fun. I give him an A+.

I loved Dr. B! I highly recommend him. You'll end up studying a lot and utilizing the open lab. His number one rule is don't get him in trouble! He's really easy going for the most part except for a few rules he has! I had him at 7:30 AM and I'd do it again if I had to!

Dr. B provided an excellent introduction to anatomy and physiology. He truly wants his students to learn. I'd take it again.

This was a hard class. Jr/Sr level at most colleges. Dr. B. is the best. If you want to be a good Dr/Nurse/OT/etc. only take him.

Dr B is simply the best. It is a hard class but its important to be a great nurse. A+++

Wow! If you are nursing/medicine/etc this is probably the best class/prof ever. But if you are an ed. major (like me): This class is HARD. He is very nice, though.

He is a good prof. but you will have no life while taking this class. Make sure you make lots of time to go to the open lab all the time. Don't miss class or be late.

Dr. B is a saint! he's a great teacher and he gets really into the subject he teaches. follows his lesson plan and gives you lab time at the end of each class period. easily approachable when you need his help. relates material to real life situations. you definitely need to do a lot of studying on your own but be committed and you'll survive!

Dr. B is my favorite professor ever, but it is a hard class that takes a lot of time.

This was the most challenging and difficult course I have ever taken, BUT I really learned the material thanks to Brian. I want to be a nurse and I feel he definitely prepared me. Lots of work and lab time. I got an A, and I worked for it.

He's so funny and awesome. Never got bored in that class. He makes the material really easy. Just pay attention to him in class because he goes over things so well; I did that and I never had to go to lab. He's a very fair teacher as well.

Loved, loved, loved this class all bc of Dr B!! He is far and away my absolute favorite teacher here at JCCC- even though the material is difficult and very detailed he made every three hour class period fun and engaging. Don't waste time with any other teacher!!

Had Dr.B for the fall semester and had a great time! He's like a cartoon character, funny and animated and it's never a dull day in his class. Study study study in his class though, it's no cakewalk, but his attitude towards teaching makes it fun to learn.

Dr. B is one of my best professor ever! He takes personal interest in your academics. Very fun class. You have to do 2 things, get in class on time and do the work. This is one professor that will make a last impression in your life.

This class will take up LOTS of your time with all of the memorizing, and you might even have dreams about it. Nonetheless, I will miss this class very much. Dr. B is amazing, and so very helpful. Yes there are easier professors, but once you leave this class, you will know this subject for the rest of your life. Also, DON'T BE LATE!

Just finished Pharmacology. It was a online class. It is time consuming especially in Summer. I never met the prof but he was very helpful. I sent 3 emails and he got back to me fast every time. I needed clarification on a Pharm problem and I called him. He was very nice and helpful on the phone.

Love this professor. The work is hard but worth it. His lecture is never dull. He actually "teaches" in his classroom. If you want to learn this is the professor for you.

If you need this class take it from him. I did not devote the amount of time he said needed and I still received a B. He tells you what you need to know and is very helpful. At the beginning he makes it seem harder than it really is. It does take a lot of time and effort. I learned a lot from him he is the best one to take.

Class is hard! I had to take in the summer. Teacher was very kind. Had a family emergency and he was helpful. He adjusted some tests. Got an A and the two people I know got an a and a b.

Bridging from ASN(RN) to BSN. Tough class but drb helped. Get homework done. He adjust tests that are made up of NCLEX/homework questions. I went on campus and met him...he is SOOO nice.

Great teacher! This can be a hard course but Dr. B was very clear on where you should spend your study time. Know your lab list like the back of your hand :) You have to show up on time and attendance counts!

The class was totally online. Lots of material. Teacher returned all my email questions FAST. I never met him but talked to him on the phone. He was very helpful and seemed nice.

Dr. Baumgardner is a good professor who knows everything about anatomy and physiology. I enjoyed this class and got an A, but not for lack of effort. There is a lot to learn, and you have to spend a lot of mental energy and time memorizing the material. I would say take this class with someone else if you can. Dr B is a control freak, it gets old.

Dr. B is the best!! Just ask anyone. My sister told me he was the only one to take...she was right. You do have to work hard!

It was a lot for summer. To many chapters. You have to work on connect everyday. But the instructor was nice.

Dr. B is the best professor to take Human A&P. Its a tough class, but not because of the teacher. There is a lot of material to learn. MEMORIZATION IS KEY! He is awesome and there wasn't a student in my class that didn't say they wish they could take him for all their classes. He's the first professor I will actually miss.

One of my all time favorite professors! He makes the material easy to comprehend and breaks it down so it is easy to study. If you apply yourself, you will have no problem succeeding in his class. Dr. B was a fantastic professor and I would highly recommend others to take his class.

Dr. B is a great teacher, he knows the material exceptionally well. Though on a few occasions it seemed that he was letting his personal beliefs interfere with the generally accepted explanation - that is the reason I would not take him again. I enjoyed the lectures most of the time, but I also place more value on scientific consensus.

Dr. B is an amazing teacher but his class is very tough. He is willing to help you through it but if you're not into memorizing you're definitely going to struggle. Showing up to class and studying basically everyday is a must.

Second time in Dr. B's class. Had to drop before because of work conflict. This class is lots of memorization. No way around that. Wouldn't take A & P from anyone else. He knows A & P inside and out and doesn't try to sugar coat the tough responsibilities of the healthcare profession. He's the REAL deal!

He is the best teacher in the science building.

Dr.B, is where its at! Makes the class fun, yet, still challenging. Group studying was crucial for my class. Most of us didnt study w/o each other. He is a fair grader. Make sure u Ace labs & Go to class everyday( extra credit & everyday missed is 8pt subtracted which helped. If i had to take it over it wouldnt be with anyone else. #Ateam

Took A&P Hybrid with Dr. B and had a good experience. Gave straightforward exams, provided clear/concise study materials, and graded fairly. Made a genuine effort to get to know his students. You will do fine in his class as long as you study adequately (2-3 hours per day in my case) and utilize the Open Anatomy Lab/SRC.

Dr. Baumgardner was definitely one of my most favorite professors. If you want to learn a lot, and if you thoroughly enjoy anatomy and physiology, I would definitely tell you to swipe this class before it fills within a matter of minutes. Expect to work hard to achieve your grade.

I took this class as a hybrid and had to drop after falling behind on lab days. He is a great professor, but you have to be willing to put in the work.

Dr. B is the best! His lectures are interesting and fun and he makes learning about the human body exciting. His exams, especially the labs, are tough, but he gives a lot of extra credit! You can tell he really wants his students to succeed. Take anatomy and physiology from him, if at all possible, you won't regret it!

Dr. B is an amazing A&P professor. You do have to work hard to receive a good grade. He expects you to work for your grade as you should. He gives good study materials for exams. He is very interesting to follow in lectures, he makes them not so boring. He is strict in a good way, and will always tell you how it is! I enjoyed this class!

Dr. B is a wealth of information to a motivated student. Take his class is you can and follow his directions.

I really like Dr B and would recommend him. However be ready to work hard because this is not an easy class. If you do work hard he is fair but he expects alot.

i think those who want or have to take this class for their major know going in it is going to be difficult. It was, but as long as you are prepared to make time for the class, utilize the lab, and study you can do very well. Dr. Baumgardner was really great at sending emails to ensure we are staying on track ( i took the hybrid class).

Wow! Just finished a and p in summer. Hard class in such a short time but needed it for major. Great to get it done. Dr. b is very nice and helpful.

I would not take the hybrid class. I took the class and was under the impression we would meet for class every Tuesday and then on the first day of class was told we would be meeting every two weeks. I feel as if we spent more time in class i would have received a better grade. This class is a lot of online homework and quizzes, GO TO ANAT OPEN LAB

Took the hybrid during the fall. Dr. B is fair. He tells you just what you need to know and throws no curve balls. Please know that with hybrid you are on your own. YOU MUST READ. Grades on a curve. For ppl like me who have thin patience and are over coming to campus and sitting in lecture for hours this was a good fit. Memorize & you'll be fine.

Dr. Baumgardner was surprisingly wonderful. His class was HARD, but you have to work for it. He even said that this was the hardest class on JCCC's campus because it's mostly memorization and he's right. Be prepared to study a LOT. About half of our 20-something class dropped if that says anything. While it was very challenging, Dr. B was great.

Great professor! If anyone needs to take this course for a health care degree. Class is very hard but he gives you many tips to succeed in the course and allows for meetings to discuss any questions you may have. A&P is not easy if you do not put in the work for it. Tests are timed but doable if you go to open lab and study.

Dr Baumgardner truly gives you every recourse possible to be successful in this. class. He gives a list of exactly what will be on the lab exam and its up to you if you choose use it. He provides practice exams with exact questions on the test which are extremely useful. Dr Baumgardner actually wants you to succeed in his class. highly reccomend!

He is a rather hard professor, but if you do exactly as he plans out for you you will pass. The tests are not weighted heavy which I was thankful for. Just do ALL your assignments and you will not have a problem. This professor was the most involved professor I have ever had for an online course.

If you are going through a hard time contact your professor he will do everything he can to help!

He knows the subject matter inside and out and expects a lot of his students. However, he does everything he can to make sure the students have what they need to learn the material. He is available to his students and responds to messages FAST. I have high respect for him and would recommend taking his courses.

Anatomy is a class you have to study for no matter where you take it but Dr. B was always ready to zoom whenever I needed help and appreciates hearing from his online students. He gives extra points on the tests/ grades pretty easy so that definitely helped as well as offering a 20 point extra credit assignment. I would definitely take him again!

I would advise students to analyze if they need in person teaching and examples to learn, I took this course online and it was a very independent course. Dr. B is personable and easy to reach.
