The best teacher I ever had for any subject, ever; period!

I had no intention to major in Economics until I took this guy's class. He rocks!

I loved this class!!! He made economics soo much fun. Hard class but when you show up and study you will do good.

Good professor but I learned at the end of the semester that he doesn't care about his students. It's all an act. The class was enjoyable but the tests were hard, take Peterson, you may think he's hard, but you'll get a good grade and he's truly nice.

Always with the colorful chalk.

Such an amazing teacher. Well educated in ALL things, not just Economics. Loves to play w/ colored chaulk, but makes the class SO MUCH FUN!!! Did I mention, he's hot, too?

GREATEST TEACHER EVER! Makes class and learning fun! You still have to study everything he says in class; make suure you take great notes. You cant pass this class unless you go to every one.

Great teacher! All you have to do is study all the notes he writes on the chalk with his colored chalk. Eco is hard but he made it seem easy. His test are usually answering quetions but they are from all the examples he writes on the board.

Very funny, very nice. Economics is a hard class but he really explains things and will always help you if you need it. One of the best professors at middlesex.

Mr. D provides excellent examples in class in tying in the info. students need to learn eco. When I took him, his exams (written) were based on his notes (this was b/4 he started using his own book).

DeUriarte makes the class easy and is the best professor I have ever had. Plus he wrote the book, if you miss a class just read the book and you'll do fine.

Nice professor although a litte cocky at times. a little cocky...wouldnt go out with him for coffee. But, I really enjoyed his energy and i loved the colored chalk. got an A.

For some people teaching comes naturally, and he's one of them. He goes above and beyond to teach us the material. He's simply not paid enough for the amount of energy he expends in the class. You almost get tired just watching him jump around the room with his colored chalk and graphs.

Goes above and beyond to explain the material. Colored chalk makes everything easy to read and understand! Makes material very easy to comprehend and if you cant keep up with his energy in class will go over it with you many times during his office hours. If you have to take eco this is the man!!!!

Great professor, and a great guy altogether. He tries to help his students succeed, and he wants all of his students to do well. He has a lot of passion for his job, and he does so much to help his students. He's one of the best professors I've ever had, and one of the best person that I've ever met

This guy is one of the best professors I've ever had! I'm an NJIT student, but I just finished taking his summer class for transfer credit. Anyway, he is a great guy, VERY funny and entertaining! He relates the material to everyday things, and he explains things very clearly and wants us to do well. HIGHLY recommended! :)

They told me that he was a good professor, but all that hard work i did i was only able to get an C+, his exams are extra hard and all essays, any stupid mistake u make u'll loose mad points. Just because I forgot the $ sign he took 3 pt. Man he's not easy at all... take him if you are very smart. 90% of his students usually get C or B-... i don't

Hands down the best professor at Middlesex County College. If you like to learn Economics, take him. If you are a evening student, he only teaches Economics in the Summers. The material is not easy but it is not hard either. Just pay attention in class and study for the exams. He teaches very well and keeps the class entertainted at all times.

He is the perfect definition of what a college professor should be. Very helpful and understanding. Take good notes and you'll be fine.. everything he writes on the board is on the test. You won't regret taking his class.

My favorite professor/teacher by far since 11th grade (this is my 2nd semester of college). He is the only teacher who uses multicolored chalk and the only class this semester I look forward to going to. One of the funniest things he does is that if he runs out of space on the board, he will write in chalk on whatever is next to the board.

Best TEACHER EVER! I knew economics is not easy to study, but he made it easy. Many people get bad grade only cuz they dont even study. Unless u study, why do u expect a good grade~duh?? Take him. He is absolutely helpful teacher.

this class was my favoritest on his semester. Hes funny and likes to have fun with his students. His tests are fair as long as you study.. N o god the color chalk if funny.. hes a really helpful and caring teacher.. n he makes the class fun

Life changing.

He is very nice and has a really good sense of humor, also teaches clearly everyday. BUT his tests are ridiculously hard . I copy his notes word for word and read the book, but if you don't answer exactly how he wants the answer, you get it wrong. I am an A student in just about every other class, but his tests seem impossible

One of the BEST prof. you can take for eco. His way of teaching is very easy and his lectures are fun and interesting eventhough if u dnt like economics...u will love it after taking him. There are 3 exams and the 4th is final. And its based on points. And thr is always a 5 pt extra credit on each of his exams n even on final. He used colored chalk

Prof. DeUriarte is a very nice and humble personality, and ofcourse a very intelligent man. He uses his own textbook which is very informative about the course (Way better than the huge so called book). Attending lectures will ease your effort while preparing for tests. Tests were NOT multiple choice questions. Also, a research paper. Easy Grader!

Took him for Eco121 and he is an AMAZING professor. He makes everything very easy to understand and is soooo funny. There are 4 tests. 2 tests are half multiple choice and half essay questions the third is half math and half essay and the final is 10 essay questions. Such a great teacher. TAKE HIM if you have to take Eco!!!!!

Professor Brian De Uriarte is very prefessional. Does his jab very well.HE IS NOT A OUSH OVER! you basically get what u put in, he is very good and knows his stuff. you have to study to pass, his tests are not easy either, bottom line,this is not an easy A but he is a great guy and very helpful and breaks it down so its easier.He wrote the text.

All his exams are from his notes. you will have to study hard to get good grades. .HIGHLY RECOMENDED for people who wants to put their effort in. Prof. De Uriarte is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. If you are looking for an easy A, then this is not the class for you. His lectures are informative and entertaining all at the same time. The subject matter is not easy, but he gives you all of the tools you need to excel in this course.

Greatest professor in Middlesex and probaly in the world. He will inspire you about how money and the market works! if Business is your Major, you must take him. Overall a great guy! I had Professor De Uriarte about 15 years ago. I had taken Economics 1 with another professor who was terrible and had been tipped off that he was the best professor. His classes were all filled, but I got special permission from the dean, promising to get an A. He was very good and one of my fav..

Highly Recommended!!!! I am taking him now and also taking him next semester for Eco 202. BEST PROF EVER!!!! I really like attending hid class. Very Helpful. Review at the beginnig of the class. Take him. His tests are pretty easy as long as you study his notes and attend the class. Love him :)

He's a great professor. He has tons of ways to keep the classes attention and can relate even the driest of topics to his students so that they can understand it more clearly. As far as his teaching style goes, he's definitely unique but it works for someone with his personality. I definitely recommend taking him.

Although I got a C, I really enjoyed this class and wish I studied harder. He's a great teacher and I learned a lot from him. His test aren't that hard but you have to know your material. I got help with office hours and he was always there to help. He makes this topic funny and understandable.

Highly recommend. I learned a lot about eco and how to apply eco in daily life because he makes complicated concepts into easy daily examples. I am not an economic major and he generated my interest in economics. He writes on the board which helps me to learn because eco have a lot of graph.

His class is the whole reason I became interested in economics in the first place. He is good at creating vivid/interesting real world examples. Loves Keynes a little too much, but overall the class was unbiased and apolitical. Highly recommend him. Class was easy for me, but the material might be harder for others depending on interest level.

When I took Eco 201 With a different teacher I absolutely hated economics and didn't understand it. With this professor in 202 he made everything understandable and interesting. He tries to give you as many points as he can on tests. He cares about his students&He doesn't take attendance but it is good to show up to class because it helps for tests

I took Macro over winter break. 3 weeks. Always let us out early and tests were very easy. Gives bonus points on tests and very reasonable. Pay attention and you should do well. Don't bother asking to get your grade raised bc he wont do it. Recommend him for a winter or summer class. Fun and always has jokes. No homework but you need to study.

Professor De Uriarte is super crazy but super understanding. If you are a visual person like I am and hate text book teachers he is highly recommended. He also is very entertaining and helps you understand something without getting frustrated.

Professor Brian de Uriarte is a great guy. I took ECO201 this summer and got an B+. I did not even study hard. I watched all of his video on youtube and this is good enough. Take note and read the book you will get an B easily.

I took this class during the summer. Rutgers student here and all I can say is that he made the class interesting even though economics is a dry subject. All I did was pay attention in class and copied his notes and received an A. His examples in class are similar to the questions he uses on his exams. I recommend taking him.

I mean good professor and all but hard class. Nice guy and everything. Just finished his summer class on July 10th and his class is not an easy A I thought I was going to get a D in his class at first but luckily managed to get a C. His youtube videos were also very helpful in preparing for the tests but its true his test seem kinda impossible.

Hands down the best professor I've had thus far. He's very energetic and enthusiastic about what he's teaching. He goes out of his way to explain everything in a way you can understand. There's little HW and 4 tests. If you pay attention and take good notes, you'll do well. It's not an easy subject, but he covers everything on his tests in detail.

Economics isn't easy but he does a good job explaining ideas. The textbook is only $80 which is way cheaper than the other economics classes plus it's not mandatory. There's also no homework and only 4 tests. As long as you don't sleep through his class you'll get a good grade since he's pretty repetitive between in-class examples and the tests.

This professor has to be one of the best professors out there. I'm at Rutgers now and how I wish I could keep taking him for other courses as well. If you show up to class, pay attention, and study for at least a little bit, I PROMISE you that you will do amazing in his class. He's helpful, hilarious, and wants everyone to do good. I learned a lot.

Prof. De Uriarte is a knowledgable expert in the field of Economics. I would recommend taking him if you genuinely want to be learn. There are never any surprises on the tests since he thoroughly explains the material during lecture. He has a youtube channel which is a great help too. His personality is quirky, and the class is always cracking up.

I actually enjoyed this class quite a bit. Professor De Uriarte is very smart and dedicated to the job. It shouldn't be a hard class if you pay attention, study, and use your logic. If you want an easy A, this probably isn't it. But I enjoyed the class and anyone who doesn't like the professor, probably didn't understand the subject to be honest.

I enjoyed coming to brian de uriarte's class and his lectures were entertaining. He knows his subject well and will explain to the class clearly and simple. He is a funny man! He also has a dog that he walks around campus with. I had to take him twice!

Honestly was the only class I wanted to attend and listen to, he was my favorite professor. As long as you show up to class and write down his notes you should be able to get a good grade in the class. He is very helpful, he always wants whats best for his students. He also has videos online if anyone is still lost on a topic.

Prof. De Uriarte is truly inspirational. I had him for ECO201 and immediately signed up for ECO202 when I found out he would be teaching that. The best Professor I have had thus far at MCCC. He is funny, knowledgeable, cares for his students and well prepared for every class. He gives notes and goes over everything you need to know for a test.

Prof De Uriarte is a dedicated instructor. He provides clear insights into the most complex of undergraduate economics topics and demonstrates the application of these topics to everyday economic problems. He inspired me to pursue a PhD. Thanks for developing my interest in the field. I still have your economics text from 2004 in my office :)

Had him for the summer and it was a great experience. ECO 201 was a breeze because it had less math and more theory. 202 was challenging because it had concepts that made no sense to me and too many equations and graphs. He does a great job of explaining stuff and his tests are reasonable. He's got online review videos and final's not cumulative.

He's a great professor who's always willing to help but he could go a little easier on the colorful chalk and use powerpoint slides. Even though I got a B+, I feel that he could use technology to teach more than just writing things down because sometimes notes can be hard to find especially if teachers write all over the place.

Being a science student I had no interest in Economics. I took this class because it's one of the requirement for pharmacy school. I did not expect I would get A grade. This professor is really hilarious and makes economics easy. You can get good grades if you miss couple classes as long as you study. His exams are from lecture material.

Prof de Uriarte was great, he uses a lot of analogies to help you understand his lectures. He understands students and is always available for extra help and clarification of lectures if you ask. Doesn't want anyone to fail. He has you tube videos that help explain his lectures more clearly in case you missed some points in class. Good Prof.

He is probably one of the best professors you'll ever have. Makes his class fun and everything is understandable, especially with the colored chalks he uses. We barely used the book that he wrote, and he only has tests to grade, but if you pay attention in class, you'll do great! He will provide you help if needed, and also has a you tube channel!

De Uriarte was a great professor, hilarious and very enthusiastic about his job. And ask him about his dog, Spot! He has a Youtube channel to help you out when studying. His tests are tough but his lectures are definitely interesting! And he wrote his own textbook which you need to buy at the bookstore.

Took Professor de Uriarte for macro and micro economics, very funny professor. Knows the material very well and teaches it very well. His lectures fly by due to his entertaining teaching style. I took him for both Macro and Micro and honestly I loved him. He makes the class interesting and it never feels like it drags. He has youtube videos that go over what is on the exams. Its hard not to pass his class. It is challenging to get an A or even B+, but its most definitely passable.

DeUriarte is a terrific professor! He's pretty funny and gets the point across without being boring. If you don't understand something, definitely don't hesitate to utilize the office hours and the textbook and youtube videos. Take him if you can!

Took him in summer 2014 and he was a good professor and a nice guy however his class is difficult because it is a lot of work and so are his exams. After finishing his class I visited him often when I saw him in his office hours and I also enjoyed seeing his dog.

I had Prof De Uriarte spring 2016 for Eco 201, he was amazing. Makes the class interesting and fun! I love how he used all sorts of colored chalk and drew all over the board for us to see the big picture! Economics is definitely a hard class but if you put the effort and study you can do well! I went into MCC a business major leaning toward Accounting and Finance. After taking Prof. de Uriarte for both Economics courses, im now really pushing towards becoming and Econ major. His classes were great, I took a lot away from them. He's an outstanding professor, and if you show up to class, take notes, and put forth effort, you will do great.

I have one book next to my bed, not the bible, but Prof, de Uriarte's textbook written by him, Intro to Economics. Prof. de Uriarte remains the most inspiring economics professor.
