I had zero issues with his class. The book he used was actually interesting. I found his class to be very easy, and I took it during the winter semester, so there was a lot crammed in a short time, but still had no issues. He isn't biased at all, offers extra credit, open book tests and is easy to follow. I highly recommend taking him.

I really enjoyed this class and Prof. Fletcher made the class very enjoyable. He had several projects that made learning fun and they put his students into the political process. Fletcher also made sure to be accessible outside of course material. Overall, very good professor.

Uses an open source textbook so you don't have to pay. Clear study guides and we could use a "cheat sheet" for the final exam. Not much homework, just a debate, mock congress and final paper. Mostly lecture and class discussions. Take notes, read the textbook sections, use the study guides and it's an easy A. Gave extra credit for attendance.

I took Professor Fletcher's class this year and it was a breeze. Not only is he a great teacher, he is easygoing. His class is note based but time to time there is group activities. The way he structured projects like the class debate and mock congress were simple. Not to mention, the exams are easy and follow a study guide. Thanks!

I really like this professor a lot and I would take it again. This course had quite a bit of reading and tests that are in a lock down browser, I recommend taking notes on what you read but he also does put in the sources that you will need during the tests which helped a lot.

Brian is a great professor, his class was enjoyable and I learned a lot. Nothing crazy work-load wise, there are group meetings every month, small debate, a mock congress, and 3 total exams. Brian is kind, and makes sure that we know his grading is unbiased. Textbook is provided for free online! Attendance is optional, few mandatory days.

little to no homework was given all semester, meaning that it is extremely important you study and do well on exams since they make up most of the grade. Besides a five-page paper, there wasn't much else in the gradebook. However he's very nice, always open to questions, and clearly wants his students to succeed. (In-person experience)

As a political science major, this is my second semester with professor Fletcher and it was a breeze. Assignments are always simple with discussion posts and short essays that are straight to the point. The class worked on a simulation that was lots of fun! I will always recommend Brian!

I enjoyed this class, especially the ICONS simulation. The workload was reasonable and Professor Fletcher was easy to communicate with. The only issue I had was expectations seemed to vary from assignment to assignment, making it hard to pinpoint how exactly to get an 100% on each, even if you followed his feedback from the last one.
