I love Dr. Gould and this course. It is both inspiring and wonderful! You feel his passion for music through this course. His TRIPS (Chapters) make you want to learn more about the history of music! He gives plenty of time for quizzes and gives 50 extra credit points (all ya gotta do is attend concerts - why would young want to).
This is a required elective liberal arts course for both Arts and Science majors, although you can take drawing or something more fine arts related, this is a good choice for others. Just know that in order to get an A in the course, extra credit is required. I worked pretty hard and dove into the lectures "trips" but only got an 88% on my own.
A good teacher
DONT TAKE HIM if you have a choice. He doesn't reply to emails no matter how much you send it to him. It's impossible to get an A unless you do A LOT of extra credit. Tests are super tough, some has nothing to do with music at all and he doesn't tell you the right answers so you can't even review for final. Some questions arent even in the reading.
Dr. Gould was very lenient. I managed to sleep through the first deadline, yet he gave me another chance to take those quizzes. Saved my grade! Very passionate about his courses and definitely knows his craft.
This class was uplifting for any music lover but the only thing i wish the professor did was put the deadlines on the calendar. I practically failed the class because I did not keep up with dates. My error but it makes it a hell of a lot easier when your professor puts the due dates for assignments on the blackboard calendar. He did not do this.
Professor Gould was extremely helpful any time I messed up or needed something. The class was actually fun and I learned way more than I thought I would. I've now got a memory bank of random facts about Bach, Mozart, Wagner, ect. It was really awesome and I highly recommend it! He also doesn't make you buy a textbook!
He is good professor but totally unclear for some quizzes. Gives trick questions and that is the most annoying thig about him. Otherwise, he is polite guy, he'll help you about everything. The most important thing is to read very well his lectures and TAKE EXTRA CREDIT. A lot of EC and take it on the time. Final is little bit hard
Granted, it was an online class. And contrary to what others may tell you, this isn't necessarily a class where you can google all the quiz answers. Some of them are exclusive to the reading, and if don't read, you won't pass. I took thorough notes and still got some B and C quiz scores.
A good teacher so far. Take this class online and you will get A grade easily with 2-3 extra credits. Quizzes are not too hard. Remember, he doesn't round 89.71% into 90%. You need more extra credit to pass this class with A.
I now know a lot about the famous musicians after taking this class. The quizzes are ok but I thought the final was hard.
not bad
i usually got into study groups so we could take the quizzes together. Dr. Gould is very easy to talk to and very nice. Overall, MUS105 was very fun and easy. just read thoroughly and you're good
Grade is based off of 1 quiz per week. This can be very good if you're proactive, but poor if you miss a couple quizzes. Dr. Gould let me retake the couple quizzes that I missed and basically saved my grade. The quiz format is very straight forward and easy. Great information and a fun journey from Back to Rock :) Thanks Dr. Gould!
Very interesting class. I learned a lot. Class is easy, just do the short amount of reading he provides each week and take the weekly quiz. There is no homework but he gives a lot of easy extra credit. Make sure you stay up on the quizzes because thats the only thing that makes up the grade. I really enjoyed the class!
Easy class, took it in winter break and got an A+.
He is such a great professor. You just need to study the note, then you will get an A easily
Easy A
Took this class in winter and got through it pretty easy. The quizzes are a little bit hard to get 100%, but you can earn extra credits by attending concerts. No textbook, no homework, just one quiz every week and it bases on the lecture of that week, so make sure you study it well. Brian is very friendly and helpful too. Highly recommend for GE!
Dr. Gould is an amazing professor. I took the class for Intersection, and couldn't keep up to the pace of the class at the beginning, he emailed me and reminded me. Not every professor does that. His quizzes are pretty easy if you read the notes carefully. He offered 5 EC, 10 points/each. His final questions are all from previous quizzes.
Professor Gould is great! I usually struggle with online courses. I forgot a quiz and he reopened it for me. Most easily approachable professor i've had. def would take again.
Wonderful Professor! Willing to work with students to make sure they achieve their academic goals. He knows that life happens and is pretty flexible. His class was enjoyable and very insightful! 10/10 would take again!
great teacher
this class is a very easy A for those willing to put in the time to reading the trips. Dr. Gould gives you 5 opportunities for extra credit (each worth 10 points each). Not many professors offer that! Dr. Gould kept you updated every week, making you feel like he still cares even though it's all online. Very easy class. Final is all review.
Super easy A. One quiz per week and it's super easy with 20 questions. You cannot not pass the class.
convenient fun course to take, easy A if you read the materials, you do not need buy a text book, instead you'll receive online lectures featuring beautiful pieces of music to listen and analyse from different eras .
Took this class online. Lectures or "trips" as they are referred to were easy to read and separated by era which made it easy to understand. Weekly 20 question quiz but if you pay any attention at all to the reading, the quizzes are fairly easy. I very much enjoyed this class and I never felt overwhelmed or unsure of any part of it. Def recommend.
The lectures (Trips) were well organized and easy to read. Make sure you read every Trip in order to pass each quiz that is given every week. The first quiz was not graded, and the rest offered two attempts, so you would keep the better grade. The final consisted of questions from Trip 2 to Trip 15. He offers 5 extra credit, 10 points each.
Dr Gould was amazing! The trips are very informative Loved this class wish I could take it again. Dr Gould went the extra mile when I had a serious medical issue half way through the semester which put me in hospital for over a week. He worked with and allowed me to stay in class on track and complete my missed assignment. Thank you Dr Gould.
Very Straight forward and what's required and gives some second chances. Would recommend!
Great class. Learned alot of interesting stuff, no previous knowledge of music history is needed. Quizzes can be a bit hard but extra credit is given. I recommend this class to anyone who is interested in music or history
I took Music 105 online and it was really easy. All you have to do is read the lectures, take notes, then take the test. As long as you have an alarm to remind you every week, you're golden. If you DO miss a quiz (like I did, frequently) Gould opens it up for you with no problems. I'd have failed if he didn't remind me lol
This class is generally easy and to my surprise it was actually interesting! I took it online, so the due dates for the quizzes sometimes snuck up on me. So, make sure you set an alarm to remind you each week. Plenty of extra credit opportunities! Dr. Gould is so helpful and supportive! Great class.
Very simple setup and easy to follow lectures. He reminds you if you miss a quiz and even lets you take it even passing the deadline. He is very responsive in the discussion board and is willing to help in any way he can. Smoothest online course I have taken
Weekly materials that are very long and a lot to remember. It is not an easy A. Bunch of extra credit available for attending approved concerts. Tests are tough as they have too much answers. Some consists of 8 choices. Good class though. Clearly loves this subject with a passion. Highly recommend taking if you want to learn about music.
very helpful.... and just read a take test on time
I really enjoyed the course and would highly recommend professor Gould. I was introduced to tons of great composers and will continue to listen to music from this course.
This class and Professor Gould are both awesome! As a musician, and music lover in general, I have acquired some absolutely incredible new material that I will listen to and share with others often. Professor Gould is responsive and understanding. The class does require thorough reading of course content, but tests are fair and very passable.
Great professor, easy to contact by email, would take again!
Class should be named history of classical music. Tiny bit at the end about non European Jazz and Rock. Cut and paste the power points into a word document so you have a chance on the quizzes. Shouldn't be a 100 level c(ass, more like introductory course for Music majors! Helps if you love classical music!
Great teacher, really cares about his students, and I really mean that. There is quite a bit of reading for the class as it is 16 weeks condensed into 4, but getting an A is still manageable, especially since its online and you can learn at your own pace. The course was graded with 14 quizzes and one final test, all online, I enjoyed this format.
I forgot to do three quizzes before the deadline and he sent me an email personally giving me a second chance to finish the quizzes
This was my first class while getting back into college. It was difficult, but the subject matter is interesting. Took it in the summer, so it was very accelerated; however, if you can keep up with the work it's worth it.
I expected this class to be a breeze but the quizzes were surprisingly difficult. There's plenty of time to take the quizzes. I'm not a music major or anything so I found bits and pieces of the class to be interesting but overall was not extremely engaged. It's evident the professor is extremely knowledgable on the subject matter.
This class was very interesting, yet don't mistake it for easiness. You must do the reading and the quizzes daily. Focus on the little details cause it'll be on the quiz. Final was insane since it covers 14 chapters, but if you put in the time and work. The A is achievable. Love that we didn't need to buy any books, all materials were provided.
Took him for the summer. He seems very passionate and full of experiences with music so there's some great stories that he shares. Daily quizes (20 quesstions) and a final. Everything on the quizes and the final can be found in the reading. He bolds or italicizes the most important things in the reading for us to study. He offers extra credit too.
Quizes may seem tricky if you didnt pay attention to the details in the reading. Reading isn't very long. Longest time spent reading can maybe be 15-20 minutes max if you're not distracted. Quizes can be taken anytime and as many as you want as long as theyre all done before the class ends. Good class to take if you like working at your own pace.
He seems like a nice guy. His readings are to the point and easy to understand. Any part of the reading that would most likely be tested on is bolded or italicized. Grades are heavily dependent on quizes and the cummalitive final. There are extra credit for going to certain approved concerts. Pay attention to the reading then you cant fail.
This class was pretty easy. Mr. Gould seems to care a lot about his students because he would constantly remind us about deadlines and send us supportive and encouraging emails. Take this class!
He is always posting announcements to remind his students of the upcoming deadlines. On his syllabus, he even bolds/ underlines the important dates for all the quizzes and the final. He does the same with the readings so that we know what's mostly going to be on the quizzes and final. If you don't slack off on the readings then you'll pass.
He is so nice by sending those uplifting emails! I don't know whether or not to reply, but, those emails really make my day. I had a borderline grade yet I still enjoyed this class. I could've done better with a little more effort but he did well on his part. First quiz doesn't count so 14 total and a final. Be one with the readings to pass!
Simple class: Read a chapter and then take a quiz on that. The final is cumulative (with questions you've seen before on the quizzes, so, no surprises) and he also provides a study guide for it. If you don't slack off on the readings and meeting deadlines then the class is pretty easy. I had a great experience and learned a lot in 4 weeks!
The class format is really easy to follow which is nice since it allows you to move at your own pace. There are 14 lessons and a quiz for each lesson. Just make sure to read the lessons thoroughly since almost any of the information given in the lessons could be a potential answer to the quizzes.
This Class was pretty straight forward. Like one student put it, Read a chapter and then take a quiz. The chapters are all provided online. My suggestion for getting an A is study the chapters well and then take the quiz while the information is still fresh in your mind.
There is a quiz every week, which is understandable because it is an online class. I have learned so much taking this class. It implements a lot of stuff I have done in my life regarding music and has "rocked" my world. Everyone should take this class because it is not just music but history that has brought us music. Mr Gould is a great teacher!
Gould does a nice job creating comprehensive guides to music throughout different time periods and has a quiz each week for each trip into the history of various artists and their impact on future composers and direction of music development. The reading is provided and is a breeze to read; it's a nice escape and fun discovery of musical history.
The reading material is concise so remembering smaller details was not an issue. Even so, the presence of extra credit opportunities made any anxiety I might have had about tests, non-factors.
Quizzes every Monday. No textbook required but be ready to read all the links in the modules.
Took this course to fulfill the arts requirement in Fall semester. No book required but one quiz a week based on small portions of reading online. Professor Gould quickly responds to emails and also shows concern towards the students. Overall very informing, clear, and easy A course. Recommended
The class is completely online, there is no textbook to purchase. The tests are multiple choice. There are lots extra credit opportunities. Dr. Gould responds to emails quickly. Take the class to fill a general ed requirement, learn the history of music, and get an A in the class. Highly recommended!
The quiz does not go outside the lecture much.
Great class and it's fairly simple outline and accessibility makes it great to take online. Professor does a great job at teaching it too.
A really convenient class in a great format that helps you really learn about the music and composers themselves as you're learning. Be sure to take good notes as the later quizzes really start to test what you've learned from from previous weeks. A fun class that still had a little challenge to it.
This class is super easy and straight forward. Weekly quiz as long as you read the modules and take notes you will pass. All the quiz info comes from the modules. Everything is online, no textbook needed and Professor Gould responds right away if you have any questions.
This class is all online, all you have to do is to read the modules on each trip & you have also review that sum up the chapter that you are going to take the quiz in, 1 quiz every week. you have 5 chances foe extra credit. Dr. Gould is helpful to all students you can email him anytime. No discussions, no hw & no stress. With Dr Gould A is so easy.
Wow Brian, Great Moves, keep it up, proud of you! //
The class is very interesting and is all online. As long as you read and take notes, the quizzes are pretty straight forward. One quiz a week and Dr. Gould posts notes and includes a summary of the chapter. He responds rather quickly should you have any questions.
Great Class, Great Professor !!! I really enjoy this class and the professor is very knowledgeable and gives you all the reading materials needed. I would definitely recommend this class to anymore.
Dr. Gould is an outstanding professor. The quizzes are easy if you stay on track and take notes. I love the fact that Dr. Gould takes the time to find YouTube videos to gain better understanding of what each trip is talking about.
It's an online class and your grade is based on weekly quizzes. This was really easy for me. All I did was read the modules and take the quiz right afterward because I remembered everything. Very easy! Professor wants you to pass this class.
A good class to take online. There are weekly "trips" (reading modules), and weekly quizzes. You can attend music concerts for extra credit. I would definitely recommend this class to others.
I'm taking Dr Gould's online class this semester and I would totally recommend taking him. The class is interesting and easy, you just need to read the lectures and you can easily get an A. I only read the lectures once and I have 98% in the class.
easy A, online quizzes every week
All of the quizzes are asked questions straight from the modules of the text. Easy class, 10/10 would recommend.
No homework ever but your grade is only based on quiz's. There is a quiz once a week and you have two days to complete it. All of the questions on the quiz are answered in the notes.
Definitely one of the best professors I have had. I would totaly recommend him. No homework ever grade is only based on quizzes.
Professor Gould is very helpful and the course content is very interesting and enjoyable..
Get the quizzes done, and read the modules.
A very enjoyable class. A bit of reading is required but is also filled with nice music to listen to as you read. Prof. Gould is very quick to respond to you emails and is very understanding. Very easy to tell that he truly wants you to succeed.
Professor Gould is great and a nice guy! Took the online class and there is a quiz once a week, all of the information needed for the quizzes are done in Trips (which are essentially notes for each quiz). He offers EC opportunities and the quizzes are super easy. All you need to do is read what is posted and listen to the music!
You can tell he is in love with his subject and very inspirational. I truly enjoyed his class. There are lots of samples of great music to listen to. You have to do weekly reading and a test, and there is a final test at the end.
This was my first ever online class, naturally I was nervous, however, that feeling quickly faded once I started the online course. Mr. Gould is clearly passionate about the subject he teaches and it reflects in his lectures. They are easy to understand, user friendly, and most importantly engaging. I would definitely recommend this class!
My favorite teacher by far.
No textbook needed! He provides the modules for each quiz. The class consists of 15 quizzes and a final exam. Super easy class if you read through the lectures he provides and you will do fine on the quizzes! Remember you must read the lectures in order to pass the class if not it won't be an easy class for you.
thought i was going to hate online bach to rock because it seemed like an absolute horrific class, but this teacher made it absolutely amazing to understand the early generations of music. if you take notes on the modules then you'll get an easy A on the quizzes. Also the music he has chosen is surprisingly very enjoyable and interesting.
Brian is passionate about music, and truly cares for and respects his students. He makes the extra step to reach out to and encourage his students, even though this is an online course. His lectures can be long at times, but they are very interesting and to the point. As long as you take notes, you will do well. Would absolutely take again.
Everything on the test can be found in the notes
It was my first time taking an online class at OCC and it went very well. Material is well presented. Just read material online and take a short 20 question quiz after each section. No book required. He responds quickly via email throughout the course. Just read it and do your part and it is an easy A.
This professor makes sure that you succeed in his class. He keeps you updated on your progress through emails frequently which is very helpful. Would highly recommend.
I took the online course for four weeks, and It was pretty straight forward. You take four quizzes each and a final exam at the end (70 questions). There are some extra credit you can to do increase your grade. The quizzes are straight from the modules he gives you, Very easy A.
Taking Music online during intersession is the best decision I made, it was very easy and went by fairly quick. When I missed a quiz HE emailed me to make it up, he's very understanding and he lets you have two attempts at every quiz including the final!
Love the Class for Intersession. Super easy, literally never read a single Module and still got an A. If you have the chance take it.
I found the course fun and educational. Especially leaning about other countries musical history and how it affected American's musical history.
This class is basically 14 20 question quizzes plus a final. You can find the answers to the quizzes in the provided modules (you barely need to read them to be honest). He gives you 2 chances to get a high score on each quiz.
There are fourteen 20 question quizzes based on modules he gives you. 2 attempts for each quiz. You don't need to read them too much to be completely honest. No textbook. Everything provided online. This class is an easy A if you are smart *winks*
Responds to emails quickly when you have questions. The course is online and every monday you have to take 40 min 20 question online quiz based on the weekly module. Truly amazing how much this course expanded my knowledge on the adaption of music over time while connecting music to historical fact. Needless to say my musical genre's have expanded.
Great online class. Each weeks reading is simple and interesting. You are bound to pass as long as you do a quiz each week. Its all you have to do! Take this class!
ONLINE CLASS: Brian is an awesome guy! He will email you reminders and little fun facts about certain subjects we are learning in class. I missed a few of the online quizzes and he was nice enough to give me the opportunity to catch up instead of dropping me. Highly recommend this guy!
Prof. Gould's class is so far my favorite I have taken online. His online presentations make it easy and fun to learn the subject matter. Thank God for youtube and thank Mr. Gould for using it!
Take this class if you need to fulfill your Arts requirement. The professor is clear on his grading and the lectures are straightforward. Be prepared to read and study, all in all great class!
Great professor. you will discover alot of good music in this class
Must take!!! Took him online. Very clear on what he expects. Read the trips & you'll pass the quizzes. Extra credit offered. No textbook required. Everything online. Highly recommend! Great professor, always reminding you what is due.
I would highly recommend taking this class. It is pretty straightforward and easy. Your grade is based off of the weekly quizzes and cumulative final. You have two chances each quiz and even if you forget to take one Brian is usually kind enough to reopen them for you. :)
The class was pretty straight forward. A lecture every week accompanied by a quiz the next week on that material. My interactions with the professor were sparse but he always seemed annoyed. Overall though pretty good class.
One quiz a week, two attempts on each quiz. Cumulative final at the end of the semester. Pretty easy, but not as easy as other music classes. Don't go into this expecting it to be like History of Rock music. We barely learned anything about rock. Still an interesting class and would recommend.
There is weekly module to read from (he writes it so NO NEED TO SPEND MONEY ON A TEXTBOOK!!) and there is a weekly quiz based off of it. It's pretty short and concise. I accidentally missed taking 3 quizzes and he easily accommodated to me by opening the quizzes, even for the last two weeks. Great professor with interesting lessons. Lots of EC+
Really easy and fun class. If you like music you'll enjoy this course. Teacher also gives extra credit so take advantage!
Great professor. Easy grader. Clear lectures and lots of extra credit
There was a quiz every Monday night with 20 questions. All of the questions were straight from his notes and you were able to take the quiz twice. I really enjoyed this class and all my online classes were like this one!
Very straight forward with what is needed in the course. No textbook required. His online lecture material was great, and most of the quizzes (which was once per week) were straight from his lecture. Course was totally a filler class but very interesting a fun. Would definitely recommend.
Professor Gould cares about his students and you can tell he is passionate about the material he teaches.
Weekly mandatory quizzes.
The reading materials incorporated with the You Tube video's really allowed for optimal learning. Content was clear to the subject matter, and going to events counted for extra credit. This is a professor who is enthusiastic about music and wants to share his expertise with the students. A lovely class- I would recommend.
A lot of reading, but some lectures(modules) are shorter than others. Great class!
Very interesting class, professor Gould was very helpful by reminding us to study and in reaching out if you missed a test. This class wasn't for me though. It was the first online class that I've ever taken so I kept forgetting to take the tests or to study. we had a test every week and he provides us with many extra credit oppertunities.
Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better class. Professor Gould makes learning about music history a lot of fun. Easy class and easy to learn. Attend the extra credit events, not only do you get extra credit but its actually fun to attend. You take one quiz every Monday- if you do the readings, you'll get an A+. An fun and easy class.
Great Teacher! Gave really good extra credit opportunities considering this is a music class he gave fun outside music things to go to that were fun and good for extra credit.
Although I'm an international student, I passed this class with an A+. Take him, you won't regret
loved the class
This professor is awesome! I took it as an online class over the summer, and it is pretty easy! He gives you some modules to read and assigns a few quizzes to take each week. He even gives you the opportunity to take each quiz twice! I loved this class!
Overall, this is a great class to take! The professor, has complied a great wealth of knowledge in this course. I enjoyed this class so much I would be willing to retake the course. However, I recommend the class to anyone who is seeking music studies.
I fell in love in this class. The composition regarding music , history, YouTube videos provided me with the skills in preparation for the quizzes and final. I would highly recommend taking the class again referring others to do so.
Took Gould for Music 105 ONLINE: Bach to Rock, 4-week summer course. Easiest A of my life. Spent probably a total of less than 10 hours on the entire course. Coursework is extremely clear and extra credit is available.
Professor Gould has good communication and gives extra credit.
Take this class you won't regret it. An A is easy to get as long as you do all of the quizzes. Easy to manage and fun. Professor Gould is also very professional and kind, and can reschedule for you if you can't make a deadline. Great class, and great Professor, definitely recommend.
Quiz every Monday, if you read youll get an A
Quizes every monday, but if you read his lectures, you will get A. All of information will be in the lectures.
Mr. Gould is a very nice, caring and thoughtful professor. The lectures are so clear, go to the point and really interesting. Schedule of quizzes and examinations are very clear. He is willing to let you make up A quiz if you forget to do. Highly recommend anyone interested in the history of music. AMAZING CLASS ^^
What an enriching class! I didn't expect to enjoy it so much but it was a great 'trip'. Weekly reading and quiz. Generous extra credit opportunities (up to 50 points) the prof is really passionate about music and is very inspiring. And since it's online you do it at your own time. If anything you'll gain a deeper appreciation for music. Go for it.
Very nice professor! He's very passionate about the course. The class was relaxing, but also very interesting. Quizzes every week on Mondays. Pretty much no homework other than reading. If you aren't a music enthusiast, I'd still recommend the class.
By far THE best online class I have ever taken! The lectures are super interesting and if you take good notes, the weekly tests are super easy! Can only recommend to take this class! The professors love for music can be felt in the course!
This professor is very helpful and caring! He responds to student email very quickly and definitely assists student to succeed! This is the best class that I took at OCC. I love this class. This class is awesome! A lot of extra credits offered so do the works and extra credits, and you will earn an A. I highly recommend this class!
Make sure that you take time and read through all of the online reading, and read the emails that he sends out they are super helpful and definitely show up on the quizzes and final. Make sure you get the quizzes done on time!!
I highly recommend Mr. Gould, his online Music: Bach to Rock class is very fun and simple. I have taken the class for the general ed. requirements and feel like I have made a great decision by taking this class as it isn't difficult to get an A if you read the modules that are posted on Canvas. There is no textbook for this class.
Professor Gould's class is enjoyable. The weekly trips (online materials) gave me a basic idea of musical history and the composers' life stories together with multimedia to appreciate their music. The weekly tests are based on the reading materials. Just read and you'll be fine. The final is cumulative though, so make sure to save your notes.
Please take this online course. It's super fun and Gould is amazing at keeping track of everything and every one. He will personally email you and let you know if you missed a quiz. He also gives a lot of extra credit. You'll only fail if you genuinely do not do anything.
Professor Gould is really knowledgeable and considerate. The course is easy to pass as long as you read the materials. I would definitely take his class again.
Class is very well organized and the modules arent boring or a drag to read theyre actually interesting and fun. Quizzes can be tricky so you wanna make sure you read and study a lot but the instructer really cares about you and your grade. Hes very interactive as well which I appreciate in an online class. Awesome class I learned a lot!
Professor Gould was great! The class was super easy and I would definitely take it again!
Great teacher. Replies to any and all concerns and questions. Offers interesting extra credit that is manageable and fun!
Professor Gould is an amazing music teacher. His Bach to Rock class takes you through the years of music and you learn a lot about musicians and the history behind the progression of music. The class is easy if you take the time to read Professor Goulds lectures and take the quizzes and he gives you two chances to take the quizzes.
I am trying to expand my knowledge of classical music its history roots and development. I was really impressed by the materials provided by this professor in an online class. I couldve spend all day linking to diferent information and videos and yutube concerts etc. You really got what you gave in this class. Tests are no joke-read the material
Gould's experience and information he shares about the history of music was great. You can tell he loves what he teaches and cares about music being loved by others. There is a decent amount of ready, but it is not dull and the music video links are very enjoyable. He encourages students to attend up to 5 performances, which I enjoy. Great class!
I really enjoyed this online class! Professor Gould is very straightforward , and always answers my emails very quickly. If you read the material and take the quizzes every week you will get an A, at the very least a B. I would recommend this class!
best professor, you have no excuse not to get an A, he is very responsive, one quiz every week and one final. take him
Professor Gould is definately one of the best teachers i've ever took. He is super nice, and always willing to go above and beyond to help students. I'm passing his class with an A-B grade. I'm taking his online course, and you don't even have to buy a textbook!!! How great is that? He is an email away and will answer all questions.
Professor Gould is a great teacher. I took his online music class titled 'Bach to Rock". You are quizzed once a week on a lesson you read online from that week. Its an easy A as long as you read the lessons and take your quizzes on time. Also there is a lot to learn and if you are a beginner in music classes this a great first step.
Weekly quizzes(15), one big final. This professor made sure I completed all my quizzes.
I took his online class. He is very nice and awesome. He tries to get in touch with his students. He quizzes things from the modules those he gives us to study. If you keeps on tracking with the modules and lectures, everything will be good.
This was a good class. I love that I can take the quiz at my leisure. Being that I work full time and have 3 kids.
Great course!!! Read your modules and study.
I really enjoyed this class, it's pretty straight forward, stay on top of the readings each week for the quiz.
Brian Gould is GOLD. He's dedicated and cares for his students. I've gotten a quick email response back from him within the same day. He gives many opportunities to raise your grade, and puts his heart and soul into his lectures. Everything is online for you, so you don't have to purchase a textbook which is a bonus for us!
I would definitely recommend this class and professor to other students. Although the class is fairly straightforward. You can expect to learn a lot as this class contains a ton of history about music.
There is a quiz every week and a final. Do the reading and your will pass with an A. If you miss a quiz he emails you or you can email him and schedule a make up. Great professor. I would take any classes from him!! And lot of extra credit.
IT IS A REALLY EASY ONLINE CLASS. YOU CAN LEARN SOMETHING AND GET GREAT GRADES FOR THIS CLASS.
The lectures were very helpful, taking key notes helped me get an A in every quiz. Taking an online course made it easy for me to help me reach my goal of getting an A. The music examples made the lecture notes very interesting
This was my first online course and Brian made it such a good experience! Super interesting material and overall a great class.
Awesome class! So sad it's over.
Super easy online class, very clear in what is expected, read the material and take notes and you'll pass with an A. Weekly quizes with 1 chance to retake. He also gives a bunch of extra credit. I would definitely take again!
THIS COURSE IS THE BEST ONLINE COURSE. I TOOK THIS CLASS FOR MY GENERAL ED AND I WOULD LOVE ALL CLASSES TO BE THIS EASY. THE WHOLE COURSE IS BASED ON LEARNING AT YOUR OWN PACE. YES, THERES A QUIZ EVERY MONDAY, BUT YOU GET A WHOLE WEEK TO STUDY IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND THE TRIPS ARE NOT THAT LONG AND THE QUIZZES ARE VERY SELF EXPLANATORY! EASY A!
This was a great class to do one of my required gen eds learned a lot and it was pretty straight forward and just overall easy going.
I enjoyed taking this class with Professor Gould very much. He helped me enjoy learning about music more, and helped me out a lot along the way! Thank you!
Read, take notes, and one quiz a week. Very simple.
Brian is a really nice and helpful. His notes and the course syllabus are clear and understandable. There are about 2 quizzes a week, but it would not be too difficult unless you read his materials. A lot of extra credit assignments to help you improve your grade. I enjoy taking his class so much!
great teacher. can tell he cares about his students. great passion for the material
Best Music Course - learned a lot and professor is super helpful
Took course online. Materials and syllabus are clear, easy grading. Room for extra credit but I did not need it.
This class is a very easy easy easy A. Since its an online class, there are so many ways you can get an A if you are clever and smart ;-). The only thing that bugs me is that his modules are SUPER LONG and it can be frustrating and very stressful to study for each quiz. Grades come only to extra credit, quizzes, and final. ALL are Multiple Choice
This class was very organized and well structured. With being an online class I got forgetful of some quizzes and he so thoughtfully opened them up for me again. You won't regret taking Brian Gould's online class!
This is an online course and attendance is important in order to complete the course. If you read the course syllabus and participate in all aspects of the class then you will pass with no problems
I took from back to rock online with Brian and it was a cool class you read the lectures and take a quiz the lectures are awesome if you love music you will pass this class with an A!!!
I loved his music 105 class. The material is interesting, insightful, and gave me a newfound respect on other genres. The course has a satisfying ending, and the final is comprehensive so make sure you are thorough and consistent through the class. Good luck!
This class is amazing! The lecture is well - organized and interesting. I accidentally missed some quizzes but he thoughtfully opened them up for me again. Best professor ever!!! Highly recommend you guys to take his class
I enjoyed taking the class with the professor. Even though this is an online class but his passion for music is evident through the lectures and email communications (this is quite rare for online classes).
I took this class out of interest and for GE requirements. No book is required (awesome!). Professor provides easy to read and understandable lecture notes. There are 15 quizzes and a comprehensive final; in addition there are many opportunities for extra credit. This class is so insightful and interesting, highly recommend to take!
Music 105 with Professor Gould is a very interesting class! There are 15 quizzes, and a cumulative final, no papers or projects, and up to 50 points extra credit. The reading is interesting but can take a little bit of time. Definitely would take again.
This is a good class
Took it online, got an A. The class is 14 quizzes for a total of 560 points The final is just a longer quiz (70 questions instead of 20) and counts for 140 points. Each quiz covers a module with a handful of pages. Take notes, review, pass the quizzes. The final draws verbatim questions from the quizzes. You can get up to 50 pts of extra credit.
Me. Gould makes his lectures easy to understand and learn so that it makes the quizzes easy! I took notes on lectures and aced everyone! He gives you two tries on every quiz including the final! each quiz is 20 questions (15 quizzes) and the final is 70 questions and thats it!! He also gives you 5 easy extra credit opportunities!
I think this class let me understand more about western music. During the study, you can also enjoy the different type of music. It's worth to take the class.
I really enjoyed the material as well as how it was presented by Dr. Gould. He was very accessible outside of class and responsive to questions. I found myself re-inspired to study music (if I wasn't a biology major I may have found myself switching majors!). Very kind, informative, and inspiring professor. Would take this class again!
I took this class for inter/online. Pretty straight forward 15 quizzes+final. Get ready to read/take notes, its easy to fall behind so dont procrastinate! EC was offered but concerts were expensive :( maybe full term has more options. If you can take full term, you might get to appreciate the music more :)
Taking music 105 is a really good decision if you want to fulfill a g.e without having to slave over the class! Everything you need to study is provided which is only about at most 10 pages of reading per quiz (15 20 quest + 70 ques final). I appreciated how passionate Professor Gould is about music, def an interesting and informative class!
This class was a breeze! The content was clear and helpful! Quizzes are fair and gives enough time! Amazing professor!
I took MUS105 online during intersession and it was one of the easiest class I've ever taken. Quizzes were due each week, but they were easy if you knew a shortcut ;) I got an A in the class without going to the concerts; they were way too expensive! I would 100% recommend this class if you're looking for a quick transferable/GE class
This class is fun and enjoyable!. Professor Brian is awesome and he gives 50 EXTRA CREDIT to joining concert. But I don't need it!. Do all the quizzes and EASY A!
Easiest class I've ever taken. If you need to knock out a GE this is the class to take. I took it for intersession and got an easy A. The quizzes are quick and easy and you get 2 tries on every quiz, no homework besides the quizzes. TAKE THIS CLASS FREE CASH!
Comprehensive lectures that get to the point. Quizzes are relatively similar in layout but thats all there is to do. Extra credit is uhhh. No homework besides quizzes.
Prof Gould is great professor. Took his online class and it was pretty easy. Take notes on the modules and you'll be good for the quizes that correspond. One time i forgot to take my weekly quiz and he emailed me telling me that i had forgot and reopened the quiz for like 3 days to make sure i still did well in the class. He really cares. Good guy!
Took this class online. There's one quiz per week but it's open note since the reading is on canvas. The final is also open note and you can use past readings. Should be an easy A as long as you read carefully and ace the quizzes!
Awesome professor. Really understands the subject and is super supportive of students.
He is so easy and nice. One time, I missed my quiz ,and he sent me an email to remind me doing it although the due day passed. He gave one more chance to do it by reopen it, and it didnt effect your score. The quizzes are nor hard at all, if you read his given lectures, you will do well on it :)
Everything you need to know is in the material, there are no trick questions in his quizzes.
You have a weekly quiz, in which you receiver two attempts to take. Information for the quiz is located in each weekly "trip". Overall, a very enjoyable class with a professor who is clearly passionate about the subject.
Such a caring professor. I forgot to take the quiz but he emailed me that I could take that quiz late. Yes! He emailed me first. Im so impressed. Only 1 quiz per week which is opened for 24 hours on Monday. Lots of ectra credit opportunities. Take this class and you wont regret
This is a good online class to take. Its pretty simple just ready the material for the quiz and you will be good to go.
professor, Gould is a real gem. His grading criteria is pretty clear. Just do your readings and don't forget to take the weekly quizzes. no homework, no extra work. pretty straightforward. As long as you keep up with readings, you'll pass with flying colors. RECOMMENDED 100%
Bach to Rock hands down was my absolutely favorite class I have ever taken. I took it in my last semester at OCC, BUT I recommend it for anyone. Especially if you're just starting, you will love this class. Lectures are mostly you studying and listening to music samples. Best bit: no pesky expensive book. Professor Gould has all the lectures there!
A quiz is given weekly with one final. All information can be found in the lectures, which are clear and concise. The professor sets you up with all you need to get an A. Highly recommend.
This class was a breeze. Online. Weekly quizzes only. Extra Credit opportunities. What more could you ask for? And Professor Gould is such a genuinely nice and helpful person!
A class I enjoyed
The assignments are weekly quizzes. There is extra credit opportunities. I enjoyed taking the class.
My teacher was super amazing. Really kind and dedicated. I hope to meet more professors with the passion and drive to teach and learn. Keep up the great work and live life and inspire. Thank you for everything, I appreciate it!
He is a caring teacher. He will send an email to remind 2 or 3 days before the quiz will open. We only read the trips and take the quizzes. It is really easy. You will the 2 attempts to do the quizzes and the final. I would take him again.
must read in order to understand quizzes, it's a bit detailed but easy to follow along if u took notes. It's exactly from the readings ! and final study guide are very useful take advantage!! 70questions for finals! there's also extra credit showcases u can go to :)
caring professor that inspires you to love the art of music. easiest online course. 1 quiz each week (approx. 15 quizzes?), 20 ?'s each quiz 40 points. The final exam is 160 points. He gives out so much EC it's insane. you just gotta read the "trips" and you'll get an A.
A fun and easy class! It's all online. I would take this class again.
Easy A! Online class is very enjoyable because there are lots of videos and snippets of music that relates to what he's teaching. Quizzes are doable if you take notes along the modules.
I highly recommend this teacher and this class
Best online class I've taken. Straight forward grading method. Good, interesting class content. Highly recommend taking this class.
If you're looking for a GE requirement for music, I would definitely recommend this class. I took it during the summer, and for a class that was normally 16 weeks squished into 4 weeks, I spent at most 6 hours a week and did very well in the class.
This was my very first online class. I was a previous student of Dr. Gould's enjoyed his lectures and instruction. It truly is "Bach to Rock" and his extensive knowledge in the classical field and his passion to connect with his students not only about music/ culture/ family but about their educational goals makes him a favorite educator of mine.
I was glad to take professor Goulds online music class. He gave me a chance to retake a quiz as well as take one that I missed which I was so grateful for! He really cares!
Dr. Brian Gould's online music class was awesome. I wish more classes were like it. You don't have to spend $200 on a book+online access and if you read the material provided, you'll learn a ton about music and pass. He also provides plenty of extra credit for going to certain concerts which is pretty rad. Highly recommend this professor!
This was actually a really great summer course. I typically don't do well with online classes and was able to ace this one. Take a lot of good notes, it will take a lot of time but you will pass all the tests, no real studying needed. Everything is extremely direct, just read the chapter notes and you will pass all tests incl. final.
If you're thinking of a GREAT Arts/Music course, then look no further but Dr. Gould's Bach to Rock Online! I'm able to take this with a phys. course concurrently this Summer! Just spend time on the Modules (Course is completely free incl some free EC concerts!). I wish we could still access the course after today 7/6 bcuz I really enjoy the MUSIC
Awesome teacher, learned a lot about music.. Would take class again
It' s a good class for the summer or winter. As long as you can read the modules and takes notes, the tests should be really, really easy. Keep those notes handy though, because the last exam focuses a lot of the questions from previous tests. Overall, a great class and easy to pass with an A if you work for it.
Just participate and everything is fine. He provides all of the information you need to know and is well organized. Professor Gould also offers extra credit just in case. Good class to take, especially with this professor.
had prof gould for fall and it was the easiest class ever. grade is based off of weekly quizzes (only opened 24hrs on mon) and the final (cumulative test) during the last monday of the semester. no essays/music knowledge needed. offers lots of extra credit options -- going to concerts (some, free). use this class to complete your art GE, trust.
This is the first time Ive left a review for a professor, but I felt this one was much deserved!! So, generally, I try to stray from online courses, but Im so glad that I took this online class. He really cares about his students & their success. This class is just weekly quizzes with readings that correlate. Tons of EC, but you wont need it!!!
Honestly, Professor Gould has a great online teacher. There are routine music announcements that are a joy to listen to and is a great breather with the rest of your academic classes. He really wants you to be successful in your college path and really hopes for your best! I was late in finding a class last minute and he gladly accepted me. NICE
Professor Gould was great, he explained every topic very well. I felt well prepared for the weekly quizzes and when I twice forgot to take it on time he gave me grace and a second chance.
As long as you stay on top of the quizzes and lectures, you'll fly right through the class! Professor Gould teaches very clearly and precise! I would love to retake his class
Easy class, just read and take the quizzes and you should be good. I just wish the final review was more precise.
I am pleased with what I've learned in this class. It was no walk in the park, however! Dr. Gould seriously took me on a musical journey through time and throughout the continents. Opened me up to appreciate new genres and styles of music. Modules are very well written, clear and full of information, yet easy to read and understand.
Easiest A I have ever obtained in my college career. Simple read for lectures and a quiz every Monday thats straight from the lecture notes. Very interesting class and you can tell the prof really loves music! Highly recommend this class!
This class was really informative and interesting. You have to read the lecture and take notes and then you take a 20 question quiz for each module and you get two chances for all quizzes (even the final). The lectures are actually cool to read and you can listen to the music of the person you're learning about. Would 100% take this class again
Being a music lover I thoroughly enjoyed this class, however even if music is not a primary interest for you, I believe that this class is an easy A as long as you are studying the lectures/modules. They are well-written & offer audio & video to further help you grasp the information. Overall Mr. Gould is a great teacher & always emails you back!
Awesome class
I needed one more class for my eligibility and didnt know which to take so I tried this one. Best decision ever ! He gave so many opportunities for extra credit, and he was super understanding one time that I couldnt complete a quiz!
Lots of reading! tons of extra credit offered and all quizzes. Great professor and responds very quickly.
He was very nice to student, I missed one of quiz, and he opened it again for me. Highly recommend his online class. Also this is easy A class.
I enjoyed the class; the course material was well thought out, informative and interesting. The professor, Dr. Brian Gould, is accomplished in his field and has passion, inspires and motivates. I would recommend this course. Do the work, and on time, you'll get the grade!
I've learned a lot in this class beautiful music. You most definitely work for it. Well worth the work. I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to take it.
Theres a lot of information in the course but everything you need to know for the quizzes are written almost exactly as you need to know them in his online notes. Stay up with readings and youll be fine
He is great the best to be honest just do your reading and the quizzes will be easy
This class is a must take! I enjoyed how well structured the Professor's music class is. He gives very clear instructions on how to follow through the class to pass with flying colors. The modules are very well structured, it is important that you read them and take notes to pass the quizzes. The most important information is always highlighted.
This class is extremely interesting. You learn a lot and are able to see the evolution of music across 4 centuries. There is a lot of content, so make sure to take notes. The quizzes are very straightforward - often word for word from the reading. It is an easy A, plus there are various extra credit opportunities. Final is compilation of quiz ?'s.
He is a good teacher
This was an easy class for me. I like music and know a little bit so it was a good refresher with interesting information. The quiz's and tests were pretty easy if you read the short reading material first.
This class was super fun and interesting! The teacher was super nice! I would definitely recommend taking this class! Especially if you love music!
He is an awesome professor. I highly recommend to take this class.
He is such a nice teacher!!!! He really cares for your grades & try his best to communicate with you. Even though the class is online, his notes/lectures are really informative and thorough so I didnt really find a need for the book. His efforts towards the class really show!! Highly recommend this class!!
If you missed quiz, email him right the way and he will let you make up the quiz next day.
GREAT PROFESSOR!
Awesome class to take online. Information you will need to know for quizzes and final are clear, and if you put in a little time you'll be prepared. Online is very nice because you can go at your own pace and enjoy the music. Highly recommended .
great processor that had an interesting class with a clear grading criteria. recommend to those needing an elective to that this class because it is fascinating yet the workload is minimum.
I personally did not enjoy the class. It didn't interest me. But Professor Gould was great at communicating and keeping up with his students. I missed a quiz one day because of the stomach flu, I emailed him back a.s.a.p. and he was understanding and opened the quiz for me the next day. I appreciate his cooperation throughout his students.
I've truly learned a lot about music this semester and I wouldn't trade this class for another. It was a great experience and I enjoyed every bit of it.
Lectures weren't so bad, and the quizzes were easy if you actually take the time to read the lectures thoroughly.
I took this class just for GE needed. This is an easy class to get an A if you want to improve your GPA. All you need to do is read the module and do the quizzes. Recommend
Interesting class! The lectures and professor were very informative, as long as you learn the weekly information its easy to get a good grade.
Fun professor! Very interesting and intriguing course about the history of music. I originally took this class for credits, but now im really interesting in majoring in something in music now! Hes there to help whenever and if you never need it. Would definitely like to have him again!
Expected to read and memorize extremely specific and random , names, occurances, dates, and other historic information for weekly testing which is 100% of the grade. The final is accumlitaive. No extra credit offered. Standards set way too high for an intro class.
Everything is clearly explained, he updates almost daily with interesting material for the class via canvas. Take notes while studying the "trips" and the tests should be easy! also gives us 2 times to take the test and keeps the higher grade. Overall great class, highly reccommend.
I took this course for Summer school 2019 at Orange Coast College in Orange County, Calif. This was an accelerated course--only four weeks long as opposed to eight weeks. I found it to be very stressful due to the amount of material that needed to be learned and the music to listen. The class would have been better if only six to eight weeks.
Easiest class ever
Super easy class and well written notes by the professor. He's also an amazing piano player so definitely attend some concerts to meet him!
I took this as a summer course so the work was compacted into only a few weeks but EASY A if you actually read and take notes on the slides he posts. There were a total of 16 quizzes all easily passable as long as you kept up with the quizzes. HIGHLY recommend taking.
If you want to get an easy A choose him.
Very good notes are required or else you'll get swamped by the 5-8 answer choices for each quiz question. Pretty cool class, but having notes on canvas pages wasn't the best format in my opinion. All in all great class to take out an arts GE requirement with minimal effort
I had MUS105 online with Brian and it was very easy, each week on Monday there's a quiz and there are some readings along the way, questions can sometimes be difficult with up to 5-6 answers for one question but if you put in the some reading time shouldn't be to bad.
Great class, I wish it was longer! Professor Gould was very direct with his expectations and made the powerpoints very easy to read and understand. As long as you take good notes, and read everything on the presentations, you'll do great! Quiz every Monday, 20 questions, 2 points each. Very enjoyable class, I will miss it!
Professor Gould is straight forward from the getgo. You'll know exactly what's expected of you. No homework, just weekly quizzes. If you read the material and take solid notes, you'll be "Goulden". And he offers a lot of extra credit!
Easy class! took him online and was easy a! would def take him again
Music 105 is such an amazing class that eases your studies by listening and reading a variety amount of music! Theres an online quiz every week (20 MC) which is the only assignment required of you with the final being 70 questions. Plus theres an opportunity to earn 50 EC pts by attending approved music events. EASY A. TAKE IT FOR YOUR ARTS GE!
Easy A if you review the posted notes for each Trip and make sure to take each quiz. I would take notes of my own every Sunday and it took me less than an hr. Quiz opens Mondays until 11:59pm and goes pretty quick if you reviewed the notes ahead of time.
I took him for Mus105 online and it was a pretty good class. Of course, you do have to read his lecture and ace your quizzes because that does help your towards the final. I suggest writing down the notes as that would help you a lot. Professor Gould is a very kind person. There's quiz every Monday but he does post announcements. Good luck!
Took his online music 105 - From Bach to Rock class to fulfill a gen ed requirement. The class is very straight forward, 1 test consisting of 20 questions each week based on the readings posted in the modules. take good notes on the modules and you'll do great on the tests. I would definitely take this professor again.
He is a great professor. Dedicated and care for his student success. Very responsive. I would highly recommend taking his class. I learn tremendous about music than I possibly thought. Overall: Awesome experience.
16 quizzes are all what you need to do in his class. Inspirational and easy to understand lectures. Not stressful to take in intersession even though there were 4-5 quizzes per week. He did message me to congrats on my A grade which was so cute of him. Should be taken!!
Excellent online class. Reasonable amount of info to process for each quiz; able to retake for higher score without penalty. Chapter summaries very useful. Full of links to brilliant examples and performances. Professor very responsive to email. Recommend making spreadsheet of period, genre, styles, composers, their works, notes, for quick find.
Wonderful professor and wonderful class! Took him for intersession and learned a lot. If you enjoy music as much as I do, take him! He's very passionate about music and very communicative, which are obviously both really great qualities in a professor. There's a lot of reading/quiz taking involved, but it's worth it!
Very great professor. Class is very interested and if you read everything he send you , you will definitely pass his exams.
Dr. Gould was very understanding and a great professor. His class was easy. Watch the videos and read what he gives and you can get an easy A.
Cool professor, Interesting material do the readings and you're gold!!
Awesome professor who is super understanding. Just do what your supposed which is nothing ridiculous at all and its gravyyy.
This class is totally worth.
I had a quiz every Monday and a whole week to read up on what it would be about. He also allows you to take the quiz late if you forgot and email him.
Dr. Gould is super chill. Just one quiz on Monday and you have the whole week to prepare for the next quiz. Even if you miss the quiz, he'll let you take it if you email him.
The course is an eye opener to the world of music. It is highly informative and you'll never look at any kind of music the same way again. Professor Gould knows and loves music and his course shows it. He even included an interview of himself in the course material and its a great interview about a great story. Leaves you wanting more.
One quiz every Monday and one final at the end thats basically just a lengthy quiz. Class is very straightforward and fun to take. Lots of great information!
Taking an online class for flexibility? Unlike other professors, he only opens the quizzes for one day. Good luck doing them if youre busy for that day. Would not recommend. If you want to learn about music and have some fun look elsewhere. So boring just learning through blocks of text without any activities or assignments.
Easy class, great professor
This course is clearly outlined for success. If you review the provided information and take the quizzes each time, this is an easy A. All information is right there to answer quiz questions. Very easy to follow and lots of extra credit opportunities provided. I learned a lot, and it was enjoyable with the videos provided.
Professor Gould is an amazing person. He inspired me to know about the history of music. You would not regret his class. I highly recommend you take his class if you want to understand the deep level of history. I wish I could take his class further in the future. If you don't know any history of music, you can learn it through his course.
Great professor! Quizzes once a week on readings. 20 questions each, 40 points. A LOT of extra credit opportunities, which you most likely won't need. If you miss a quiz, he will let you retake it, but don't take advantage of that.
I found it fascinating to learn about the fundamentals, and evolution of music! I participated in Dr. Gould's condensed summer course which was only a month long, and a great way to stack up some units. His criteria is transparent, and the lessons will unequivocally teach your ears a thing or two. Stay on top of it, and you'll do well.
This is an outstanding course, that I would take it again. I had a fun time learning new terminologies, and so much knowledge of music.
A great professor!
Interesting and easy class.
Summer Online 2020. Easy A class! The syllabus along with the expectations, grading, and the works are clear and easy to follow. There are 3-4 quizzes per week. No midterm and final! Highly recommend everyone to take this class for your GE requirements.
Great teacher, and a great class! There is a lot of reading involved, and the lectures are very important for you to succeed in this class, it is VERY lecture heavy.
easy class study for quizzes and your solid
Professor Gould was great!!! He made the course very easy to understand and very straightforward. I took the online class this summer (4 week period). It was about 3-4 quizzes a week and he gives you about a 2 day window period to take them each week. Each quiz is 40 points and the final is worth 140 points. No homework just quizzes. Good class! :)
This music class is great for everyone to take for summer or winter class. You do not be smart for this class. There's no writing class at all unless you chose to do an introduction about you. It basically doing quiz #2-16 for four weeks only. My classmates told me to take it in summer and it was not hard at all. take it for GE credits.
A great professor!
The best Professor I have ever seen.
