Boring class, but not too hard. Just memorize the powerpoint slides.
SUPER EASY! Just memorize the review questions and answers and go over the powerpoint. The in class assignments are a breeze. You will probably spend lots of time on the lab work outside of lab time but that's not his fault.
Pretty easy teacher but kind of boring.
He is a nice guy, but his tests are hard. Study the practice exams he puts up on blackboard. Test are kind of hard. Class average on tests have been in the low 70's.
Be careful with the practice exams sometimes they are nothing like the test and sometimes they are the exact test. Pretty boring, but not that bad.
He is a smart man, just not a great teacher. He's not too bad and I would recommend taking him, but the problem I had was it was always on powerpoint. Study with the practice exam, they are very helpful.
Easy teacher, everything on blackboard to study for test. Def. take him
He is a horrible lecture, definately don't take him in the morning, but he does put all of his notes on black board making it very easy. His tests are kind of difficult.
All the lectures are on blackboard, so going to class is almost pointless. He's a smart man tho, so he gives bonus points for just showing up to class.
Tests are hard and change all the time, there is not way to predict his tests. Class is boring!
tests are very hard. The only good thing about this class is that you get bonus points for going
The class is really boring and he pretty much just stands in front of the class and reads the power point. Attendance is definitely not mandatory b/c he puts the powerpoints up on blackboard. However, as long as you study the notes, you should do fine.
Easy class if you study. Must comprehend material and be able to apply it to do well on the exams. The study guide helps- get it- do it- study it- and you'll do fine on the tests. If you go to lectures, if possible print out powerpoints before hand.
Not hard, notes on blackboard, easy to skip. Study for tests and you'll do fine.
Greene is a good teacher. Can be very boring at times during lecture but his tests are not bad and he puts the notes on blackboard for you. Couple in class assignment but not a hard class at all, as long as you go to class.
It could be worse.
Dr. Greene is a good teacher. He never gets too technical, tries to make facts easy to understand. Study for the tests and you will do fine.
I'm sure he was a wonderful teacher, but it was just so hard for me to pay attention in his class that I was able to read the entirety of Jane Eyre during his lectures withing a two week period. I still did decently on the tests. He puts notes on blackboard which is nice.
Dr. Greene is a very good prfessor. He tries his best to keep things as simple as possible so it is easy to understand. As long as you study you will do fine in the class. His online notes and practice exams are an extra bonus.
The average on his tests is a D, but he doesn't have any suggestions and won't change anything. I know 50 students who have come to him for help, and none were happy with the outcome of their meeting. No one is satisfied with their grade. There is a serious problem, and he refuses to address it.

TERRIBLE TEACHER. Do not take him for any class higher than 102. Terrible, terrible, terrible.
Greene is a horrible teacher! His tests are ridiculous and hard. He tests over things he never went over in class and things that aren't even stressed in the textbook. It's almost like he wants you to fail.
His tests are hard, but it's Biology. He drops your lowest test grade, plus has easy in class assignments which you can email to him. If you read the book, take notes, and review like crazy you can come out with a decent grade. Hard class, a lot of reading, but he's a nice guy that tries to help. This class turned my brain inside out. Good Luck!
This class is both easy and hard. Tests are a bit difficult, but you can easily get a B by just reading the notes on Blackboard and not ever touching the book. Lecture is boring, but he does in-class quizzes (not for points) to keep track of attendance, which determines final grade. Has simple in-class assignments, but is overall a pointless class.
Not a great teacher but not a horrible class. Tests are hard but as long as you go and take notes you should be okay.
Very nice guy. You don't have to read the book to do well. Tests are kinda hard.
Very bad teacher. One of the worst I have ever had. We never knew what was on the tests. The class averages for every test was a D. If you take him you are definitely asking to fail!
I actually really liked this class. He isn't really a good teacher, but he uses powerpoints for every lecture and you don't even have to go to class you just read the powerpoints and memorize them for the tests! He gives old tests to study from all multiple choice! Easy to get a B.
I think he's a very good teacher, he's very clear and the material is easy to learn. You have to study for the tests, but you can also skip class without penalty. This class is an easy A if you pay attention; or if you paid attention in high school biology, for that matter.
This class wasn't really hard at all. Attendance didn't matter, all notes are put on blackboard. Tests are off of note material - not book. Exam grades average C/D out of 150+ students who half don't even show up or know what is going on the majority of the time. So don't let the averages scare you. Understand & apply the concepts & you'll do fine.
Great teacher as far as a Gen Ed. He said on the very first day of class that he knows almost everybody in the class doesn't have an interest in the class and he was gonna try to make it as easy to follow as he could. And he did!!!! I'm terrible in science, but he was a great teacher because he put everything in simple terms.
good teacher. i slept through every class, and missed a test, but he still let me retake it. he's really nice, and tries to make the boring topics more entertaining.
He's a really nice guy. You don't have to come to class because all the notes are on blackboard. The tests are all multiple choice. Its a really easy class. The only downside is that the subject matter can get pretty boring.
Really nice! He is very pasionate about biology and realizes students in 102 don't really care about it at all so he tries to make it as interesting as possible.
He does his job; lecturing and taking the whole 50mins if not a little more. :)
Dr. Greene is really experienced with teaching Biology. He is very helpful and easy. You just need to take down his notes as only things covered in the notes are on the test. The book can be helpful though as an extra reference.
I hated this class!!It was so boring..I was either falling asleep or texting!!It was horrible and he wasn't helpful at all!!
I enjoyed this class...it was pretty easy, the tests are all multiple choice, but sometimes the questions are more over concepts than facts so they can be kind of confusing, but he teaches well and tries to make it not boring. he also does in-class assignments that really help your grade...overall a good class
He's an alright teacher. Basically he taught directly from notes, so sometimes the lecture classes almost seemed pointless to go to. As for help, he's a bit iffy. Sometimes I would get my questions answered, and other times I wouldn't. His tests are decent; all multiple choice. Make sure you understand all the concepts and not just do memorization.
Like him. I could see how he could be considered boring but he explained things in a way I could understand.
He is a fairly ok teacher. He posts all of his notes on blackboard and reads right off of them in class. I really have no motivation to attend class. He does take attendance though.
tests are kinda hard--make sure you understand the concepts and not dont just memorize things---he gives extra credit for the CPS responders if you use them, it helps in the end...always do the in-class assignments...just go to class and study for the tests, they arent blow off tests
I didn't like his class at all. I studied my butt off and still only got a C. All of the answers on the tests come off of the power points but he picks out litte details that are easy to look over when studying.
He knows what he is talking about, and explains that material pretty well. One huge minus though. The tests are miserable! The way he words questions and the way questions are was just awful! I am an average A-B student and I barely got a C in this course. DO NOT take him. He is making a) course very hard and b) students feel dumb about themselves!
This class is crazy. Ive never seen a professor that doesnt try to help his students achieve. He lectures good but his test are horrible and unreasonable. Most of his students fail his test. I hated him and his class.
He explains things well and he seems nice enough. I don't really like how anti-creationism he is...it feels like he is pushing his evolution mumbo jumbo off on all students, but he is an interesting teacher. Class is not that hard, at least if you take it in the summer.
He is so unorganized its ridiculous. His powerpoints jump around and he spends way too much time straying away from the bullet points. The tests are extremely difficult, you have to devote hours to studying. In class assignments are easy and attendance is 1/2 point extra credit. Those are about the only up sides.
boring lectures
Tests were so difficult. I understood all the material, and attended all the lectures. Getting an "A" in Lab, yet could barely get a "C" on his tests. I do not recommend.
Fairly difficult class. Tests are hard even after attending all lectures and taking notes.
Great person, not a great professor. He's really nice, but pretty disorganized and easily distracted. I only had him for Freshman Seminar, but I think one of his biology classes could be interesting. But maybe not.
Great guy. Attendence is not required, however, his lectures are really interesting/engaging. He facilitates well and lets the discussion develop-which can be good and bad. Pay attention and be respectful, you're home free.

This is his first time teaching BIO 369 in the fall since Dr. Moll retired. Lecture wasn't bad, but the tests were difficult. Material wasn't easy to understand, and this could be due to lack of interest for this class. I think the lecture should be mandatory, however, the lab should optional. I would never use anything that i used in the lab in th
This was his first full semester teaching ecology and it really cost us students a good chance to learn important material. I was looking forward to taking this course but tests did not match his lectures. He was not prepared to teach this course. There were a lot of things he could not explain. In a couple years he might have examples to include.
He was the easiest UHC teacher ever!! I did less work in this class than some of my friends that were in GEP classes! Did not have to read the book once! He is also a really nice guy and is very happy to answer any question you have about the university or life in general.
I wouldn't suggest this teacher unless you had already had Ecology. When I asked him how should I study for tests he replied to never read the book but his notes didn't have enough information on them to understand the material clearly. Also his practice tests didn't really have anything to do with the real tests. They were always too easy.
His tests I found were hard. I know the information comes from the powerpoints though.
The tests are blown way out of proportion. What is covered in class can seem so irrelevant, but there will be half the questions over one section. His lecture style is very dry, nothing too interesting. Don't buy the book, all his test questions are from the powerpoints and you don't really need to show up to lecture.
Attendance is not mandatory. Definitely glad I took him. No work at all besides an easy project at the end of the semester. He was always willing to answer questions. Take him!
Easy class, attendance is not mandatory. He's always willing to help you with ANY problem you have. Not many assignments, just a presentation at the end of the semester. I recommend it for any honors college student in the science field.
This class is too easy. The professor is a nice guy but a terrible professor who made a topic I was interested in boring. Take it if you want an easy A, don't take it if you love biology and environment.
Easy class. Bought a book that we don't really need to read because tests are directly from PowerPoints.
Dr. Greene changed the entire class this semester because he knew people weren't coming to lecture. Its 10x harder. He is monotone and his lectures drag on for hours. He doesn't care about his students at all. He will never answer your questions, instead he'll just talk around them. Awful professor. The worst I've had at Missouri State.
Dr. Greene is a very good professor - but this is a survey course of all of ecology. It's difficult to make a general overview type of class interesting. He lets you replace lowest exam. Lab is extremely easy/a grade boost. Tests are difficult and very specific - study more than just skimming the notes.
Dr. Greene is a wonderful professor. His lectures are dry, but the information is easy. He will definitely answer all of your questions, and will try to help you understand what Ecology is truly about. His tests are very specific, so you will definitely need to study. But, if you have any issues, his door is always open for questions.
Dr. Greene was very nice and very lenient. In a nut shell, there are no reading assignments, exams, or even quizzes. There were four very simple assignments and as long as you turned them in by the end of the course, he gave 100%. Take this course if you want to just show up to an interesting lecture twice a week without any extra outside work.
He's a very congenial guy, he's just boring. He stumbles around his words, he's always nervous, and his tests are fairly difficult. I wouldn't take his class again because he took a subject I love and managed to make it boring. He's very intelligent and he knows his stuff, he's just not a very good teacher.
Dr. Greene is very knowledgeable. While his lectures are not the most exciting, they're full of good info. It's a more general ecology class that's essentially a precursor for later more in-depth ecology classes. He seems actually interested in what he teaches and if he doesn't know the answer to something, he's happy to look it up.
I really like Dr. Greene. He may seem a little reserved at times, but he is very knowledgeable and extremely caring. His class includes four unit tests that are fairly difficult and an optional final that can only improve your grade. At the end of the semester he does a curve on your final course grade. He doesn't take attendance either.
This has been the easiest course I've taken so far at Missouri State. Class time was usually spent with Dr. Greene answering general questions students had about college. There are no tests, and there were few assignments over the course of the semester. Attendance is not required, and as long as you do the assignments, this class is an easy A.
Don't buy the textbook you won't use it. Attendance isn't mandatory by any means but i found the tests much easier when i actually went to class. Overall pretty easy class and lab as long as you put in the little effort necessary. Good luck my fellow bears!
Not too bad of a class. Attendance isn't mandatory but it definitely helps to go to class. Powerpoints do not offer much information, so taking notes during class is the best way to do good on exams. Lab was annoying and felt pointless. Overall, Dr. Greene is such a nice professor and tries to make ecology as interesting as it can be...
This class is pretty easy, especially since he posts all of his lectures online. as long as you follow the study guide for the test and look over the lecture slides, you will do fine in this class.
Made my UHC class exciting and fun with the topic of science literacy. He knew that the first semester for freshmen would be challenging and only had us do few assignments. A personal, caring professor that seems like he really does care about the students.
Easy class with very few assignments. Dr. Greene is very nice and definitely cares about his students. He works to make class as interesting as possible. The topic of science literacy was actually very cool to learn about and discuss. Definitely a smart guy.
Greene wasnt my favorite to take. Then again, Ecology was not my favorite either.
There are 4 exams each worth 100 points that determine your grade. No extra credit was offered. I couldnt grasp his teaching style. He lectures information in class then the info on the test goes way more in depth or is info he didnt talk about at all. BEWARE it is easy to go to class... and fall asleep.
The class I took with Dr. Greene isn't really a class. We had basically no assignments all semester and then a pretty big project at the end, but there's plenty of time to finish it. Class is very boring, all he does is sit there and talk about stuff that no one is interested in and aren't required to know. I'd take him again just because it's easy
Greene only gives four tests and an optional final that make up your grade. These tests are pretty hard, so you'll need to really study the slides through and through. Greene is a kind professor who is willing to answer questions and work with you on your grade.
The material was really interesting and Dr. Greene is a really nice guy. The lecture is great, but the exams are so hard. They contain applied questions that are really difficult to prepare for. I made quizlets that helped me prepare for the exams. I barely passed with an A, taking the final saved me from the 4th exam which was super hard.
Professor Greene is very intelligent but terrible at teaching. He does not respond to emails promptly and provides little instruction on assignments. In lecture he did not post consistently and expects you to keep up with material anyway. There are not a lot of assignments but he is flexible when it comes to grading.
Class is graded off very few things, mostly being tests. The tests were open note extended responses. As long as you put in a sliver of effort you will get an A on his tests. Lectures are extremely boring, and since the tests were open note I never went. I have heard he is bad at responding to emails, but I have never had this issue personally.
I like Dr. Greene as a person but his lectures are boring and don't go into depth very much. The only points for this class were from exams but he did give an opportunity for 10 extra credit points for each exam. I found his tests to be extremely difficult as the questions went into more detail than any of the lectures theres also no book to study.
This class is out of like 160 points, but it is all graded so easily. Just make sure you do it. The assignments are so vague, but I'm pretty sure as long as you're close to what he's asking for and you put in some effort, you get all the points. His lectures are random, but interesting. Dr. Greene isn't nice, but he's not mean.
This was a very easy class. Very few assignments and they were all easy. There was a final project at the end as the final exam and we got plenty of time to get it done. Class time was mainly interesting discussions. He was a very nice professor who really cared about how we were doing in all aspects of college as freshmen.
Professor was okay, his lectures are very boring but what you would expect for ecology. Tests were the only thing for a grade in the class and they were pretty difficult for the material that is covered in lecture. That being said he is a nice guy and responds to emails quick.
Class is boring, but he does post every lecture online. 4 tests and a final. The final is not required though. The tests are kind of hard because they are not straight forward. But he does give extra credit opportunities. Do them because there are no quizzes or homework assignments. The lab is easy with 3 reports and a couple field trips.
