Brian Johnson is a great professor. He makes the class interesting and is very helpful to his students. He's willing to help anyone that asks. He also dresses really nicely for class and looks good! Very handsome!

It was amazing how well he knew the material. However, I wish the class contained a little less lecturing and maybe more discussion so the students can perhaps learn more. Really helpful and approachablenice out of the classroom though. A great teacher!!!

Brian is a great prof. and an all-around great guy. He is extremely smart. Class consists mainly of lecture, so be ready to take alot of notes. You would not be dissappointed by taking his class:)... he's sexy too...

There aren't too many professors out there that can instill knowledge while being so sexy. Bravo!

Brian is great! He brings a whole new light on history by adding humor and simply himself. He is always willing to repeat himself over and over when necessary. His best outfit is tennies and shorts! By the end of semester you feel like you're loosing a friend not a teacher. Brian is aweseome!

Go to every class because the notes are what saves you here. You MUST take notes to pass...write down every word he says. (You will thank me for it later!) All in all he will be one of the best teachers you ever had. Oh, and stand-up comedy is his other calling. You will laugh your ass off.

He was an easy professor if you took down EVERYTHING he said. He is cute for an older man but I wouldn't agree with everyone else to say he is hot..I had Brian for 2 classes and knew him b/c of the program I was in but he can be an ok guy but he has his moments were you just want to kick him!lol

He is a great teacher and is very funny, notes are important and he gives you every chance to get an A. He requires a lot of notes to pass his test but he gives them to you in order of the study guide, and gives guide out before his lecture on it.

He is a great teacher! He is very funny, and made sure class was never boring. If you take good notes and study the study guide, you should be able to make an A. He doesn't have many office hours, but you can email him and he usually emails you back immediately.

To pass Brian's class show up to every class and write down every thing. He is one of the best teachers ever. He is funny and entertaining as well as informative. For government class there is no one better.

I hated history before taking Brian's class. He is honestly the best teacher I have ever had, very passionate about what he teaches, entertaining, easy to understand and relate to. If only every professor was as interesting and fun as Brian! I recommend him to everyone I know!

I've taken HIST 1302, I'm currently in Govt 2305 and I plan to take Govt 2306 with him next semester. He's an excellent professor; he holds your attention and you learn the material. You will have to study hard to make an A. Also, be prepared to take a ton of good notes. He has a unique sense of humor -- some like it, others are offended.

Take good notes--- write the essays before the exam--- finish the study guide asap------communicate with him and let him look over your notecards. You will learn and he makes it interesting.

Took History II online. Class is only made of 3 exam grades. He gives you a VERY THOROUGH study guide. DO IT...his tests come from that directly. Read the book. And read the lessons he posts. I think his class was very easy compared to some other online classes I have taken.

I took this class online for SumI and granted I didnt read the book, you cant just do the review and get a good grade. Thats what I did, &I got a C. Its not exactly the most exciting class so maybe its that I thought it was boring and useless, but its not as easy as its being made out to be. Esp if you dont read 24/7 & consume yourself in history

Very Funny, will work with you, you still have to work hard in this class. You MUST study your notes, and read the book!! Extra Credit on every test helps a lot!! I recommend him!

Gives study guide and class notes; make sure you do the study guide as tests are from that. 4 tests total; drops lowest so you may not have to take final if happy with other scores. I took this class Sum1 online. He was SO helpful and answered emails quickly. It's so cool when you find a teacher who enjoys teaching!!!! The course was a lot of reading. He supplies a study guide,so fill it out while you read and should be fine for making an A. We had class chats going over the material and he joined in them too. Great instructor

Took for SUM1. Really helpful. I wish I could of taken his class in person. He really cares about his students. Oh, and a easy A. His study guides are the answers to the test. Great prof. take him!

Took online for History II, Fall semester, got an A+. 4 tests and final compose your grade, he drops your lowest test grade, has an extremely helpful review for each test. However, there is a moderate quantity of reading to be done. If you can devote a few hours every couple of weeks, you should have no problem with this class. I recommend him.

I absolutely adore Mr. Johnson. I took him for both Govs and history 2. incredible teacher, loves teaching. My second favorite teacher of all time. Essays are on each exam, and he grades those pretty hard. But the questions are usually easy. Alot of fun to talk with in and out of class. I do recommend him...very highly.

Wonderful professor, I was not interested in the class at all, Mr. Johnson was very helpful. This class is not for those who just want to come in during quizzes or test. He doesn't really go by the book, everything on the test and quizzes come off of his lectures, but he makes them fun, very humorous. I would take him again!

I took the class online in Summer II 2011. He gives a 100 question review for each of the 3 on campus tests - spend ALL of your time completing and studying his reviews and you can make an A.

I love this class. Mr. Johnson keeps it entertaining with his "awful" jokes. The notes are a big help, and he keeps a study guide on his website. It's an easy class if you pay attention and do the study guide.

Brian is very helpful and easy to listen to. Taking thorough notes will help you complete his study guide. He will also review your study guide and essays before the exam date if you visit his office hours or email them. Brian Johnson is a one of a kind. Bummer I've taken all my history and government. Brian is a great prof. He is a Nerd. He presents the material as a story. This makes it easy to follow. He is extremely helpful when asked upon. He is open for electronic tools to be used to enhance learning. Would take his class again in a heartbeat. To get an A you need to study hard. He gives you review sheets so It's not too hard.

Brian is an awesome professor! HE makes his lectures interesting, he is funny, and he encourages participation during lecture. He gives out study guides for all of the quizzes, and will even host a study session before the tests. AS long as you show up and take notes, you should have no problem in this class.

He is a great teacher!! He is funny, interesting, and is always willing to answer any questions that you have. He always answers your emails, and he sometimes attends study groups to help answer questions that we have. His tests are his only grades, but if you complete and study the study guide, then you'll be fine. Don't procrastinate though!

Favorite professor ever! Took HIST1302 (B) and TXGOV (A) with him. Great lecturer. He's energetic and keeps class entertaining. Plus he's super cute. Definitely visit him during his office hours if you need any help. He's very helpful and approachable. I highly recommend!

Great guy! kept class fun and interesting by telling bad puns and irrelevant stories that ended "poorly" for him. Very knowledgeable about history but you MUST take notes. And good ones. We didn't use a book in class but your suppose to read the book to help you with your test. I would recommend you do just that! I would take him again!

Attendance is mandatory! His lectures are very detailed, make sure you take great notes! He is highly entertaining, but you WILL learn. His tests are difficult, be sure you study! Great professor, I learned a lot. He LOVES essay questions for tests, just FYI.

He is an awesome teacher! He tells you everything in his lectures that you will need on his exams, tells what you will/won't need to write down and his weekly quizzes are all on the exam so he makes it super easy. He does have essay questions on every exam so you do have to study, but made govt very interesting and fun! Kept me awake at 9:30 am!

Excellent and very entertaining professor. Mr. Johnson has quite the personality and an aptitude for making the material relevant and fun. Even if he is having a bad day he'll inject his self-deprecating musings throughout the lecture.

Took this course online. Hope to pass (was not as easy as I hoped) . Basically gives you an introduction at the beginning of the semester and you don't hear anything more for the rest of the semester (unless you ask). 4 exams plus a final, drops lowest grade.

He is an average professor for an online course. There are no discussion boards and his syllabus is very clear. The test are 50 multiply choice questions with a 50 minute time limit. When testing you can only see one question at a time and once you've answered then you can move on to the next one. I would recommend you taking this class live.

I am not a fan of govt or anything history. I am very glad this class was laid out with due dates. The first exam we got a reminder and then a follow up that the overall grades were good. Never heard anything else from him. Not for the whole semester. But as long as you look up what he puts in his reviews you will do fine.

Mr. Brian Johnson is a great professor. His lectures are very interesting, because he makes history come alive. He gives out study guides to help you as you read along in the text on your own timing. As long as you stay on top of your reading, review your notes, and your study guide this class should be an easy A.

I hate anything that has to do with history but taking Professor Johnson's class what kind of interesting. He gives out 4 tests and a final, he doesn't give out homework and the quizzes aren't graded. The tests are multiple choice and an essay, he also drops one test grade at the end of the semester. He also gives you the review for the test.

This teacher is a great and funny guy! (: If you have questions, always ask! And expect some humor too. His tests are very straightforward so if you listen and take notes in his lectures, you'll be fine! Just four tests and one final, also expect some essay writing but they're also straightforward. I'd take this class again!

4 exams 1 final no hw, just read and do your study guide and you will pass! Each exam has an essay question worth 20 points, for me that was the hardest part and definitely lowered my grade. Fortunately, he drops your lowest grade and the final doesn't have an essay question. This is not a blow off class, you have to work and you WILL learn.

A OK Teacher for a online class. You wont hear anything from him through out the semester, and there is no discussion board. The best thing about the course: it was well labelled out. He gave two opportunities for extra credit which was ridiculous for five points each ,but overall if you manage your time well and put in the effort its an easy A.

Brian is a very good professor and makes the lectures interesting and funny. He gives 5 tests total throws out the lowest score (so if you do well on the 4 unit tests you are exempt from the final) Looked forward to going to all of his lectures. If you are an easily offended republican though his more liberal side comes out towards the civil war.

Do not take this professor for an online class. He doesn't update his tests, so some questions weren't covered in the book and the automatic grading is off so I spent a lot of time e-mailing him to correct grades. The book is openly biased, so don't expect a balanced view of politics, but if you're liberal leaning, you'll like it.

Took 2306 Online. With that said I took Brian Johnson in person for 1301. He is a fantastic teacher in person but is very hands off online. Received 2 emails total over the course of the semester. Course is clear cut though 1 quiz a week and a test after every 3 chapters. Drops lowest test and 2 lowest quizzes. Easy A but very dull.

He was my favorite teacher this semester! he's very funny and tries to work with each student, all the students liked him so I highly recommend him. : )

Hilarious, rational, energetic. Makes lectures engaging. Wish i could take him for every course. 4 tests w/ essay & a optional final. Quizzes weekly. Good: provides clear study guides for each test & quiz, lots of easy quizzes to buffer grades, extra credit on tests. Study a little and get an A Bad: no clear schedule posted for semester.

gives you the reviews if you do them you should get an easy A. all questions from the quizzes are on the test so it makes it easier. 4 test and 1 final-if you have an A you do not have to take it. He is really funny and passionate. I always look forward to his class and its never boring!

I took him for spring semester GOVT 2305, I loved his lectures truly amazing professor!! You only take 4 exams and write short essays which are pretty easy! His lectures are interesting never boring!

I took this class online 2019 Maymester (fast! pay attention to due dates!). The class was fairly easy as long as you do the study guide. of course everything on the study guide is not going to be on the test. I did make a D on the class but that is because I missed one of the tests and I did not do the study guide for another test.

He doesn't really care if you show up to class or not or whether you're super late. But if you don't show up, you'll miss his lecture and you most likely won't pass the test. Show up to class, take good notes, enjoy all his corny puns, study for the test and you'll pass the class easily!

Loved this class! I honestly dont understand why there are so many negative reviews, he only has 4 tests and one final which is optional depending on your grade. His lectures are informative and his humor is contagious, by far one of the best professors I've had. Each test is 50 questions and you have 50 minutes to complete it, use the unit videos

One of his online lectures, His background was prehistoric volcano. His dog was present. He insisted that his dog was in fact a dinosaur. Mid session, His dinosaur proceeded to mess his stuff. He went off camera to have a bloody battle with the dinosaur which eventually the dinosaur won. I now know the entire bill of rights because of dino fight.

Professor Johnson is a 10/10. Not only is he an incredible professor, he also makes his lectures enjoyable. I would love to have him as a teacher again. Although he is test heavy, but he does post study guides before hand and gives extra credit. My favorite class! I highly recommend everybody to take a course offered by Brian Johnson.

Took online class. Read all the reviews and yes, accurate. 4 tests 50 questions 40 minutes. Only 10% of the questions from the study guide will be on the exams. The good thing about him is that he will do a test review if requested and provides a lot of videos with all the lessons.

There are four tests and a final exam where the lowest test score is dropped. The lectures are very entertaining and I have genuinely learned immensely through his course. The tests are very easy if you read the book, watch the lectures, and look at his review videos for each unit. If you put the time into it, you will pass with flying colors.

I took professor Johnson's online class for government and I had no problems. For online class he does not do assignments, only tests. There is four test plus the final exam. For each test, he provides study guides and links of his youtube videos to go over topics.

Only four tests and a final exam, one test each month so there's plenty of time to study. Reading the textbook is a must in order to do well on the exams, since most of the questions come from information in the book. The test questions are very straightforward so it's possible to get an A, I recommend this class for students with busy lifestyles!

Dude is hilarious. Doesn't give homework at all. 4 tests, one final. drops your lowest test grade at end of semester. tests are super easy because he gives review for them where HE STRAIGHT UP GIVES YOU THE ANSWERS FOR THE MULTIPLE CHOICE WHICH IS 80 PERCENT OF THE TEST. the other 20 percent is the essays but he also gives those to you too. EASY A

His videos are really well presented, short, to the point, and engaging. His tests are pretty tough, but if you pay attention to the videos they aren't too terrible. There is a textbook, but you don't really need to read it if you pay attention the videos. Some of the questions have unclear instructions, but it isn't too bad. 10/10.

Very funny professor and keeps his lectures interesting! There are five grades in total including the final exam, with one drop allowed. He posts general study guides for the tests and does in-class reviews before each test, which goes over all material that will be on the test. Easy to pass as long as you study before each test.

Professor Johnson to put it simple..... is a must take for HIST1301and1302 plus GOVT. He has had by far the most impact on me as a student from just being the best teacher and very intelligent. You're going to wish every class was structured like his. Only 4 test, absolutely zero homework, essays, projects etc...

Amazing teacher and is super helpful throughout class. He teaches in a way that would make you want to show up to class because he actually helps students understand the information in a way they can remember. Overall great teacher and would recommend to the average college student.

Honestly the class was super easy, I ended with a 97. There aren't any homework assignments just tests. I took his class this summer (3 week course). There are a total of 5 test (which r your only grades) test aren't proctored. Also, I didn't need to purchase a textbook. Take his class very EASY grade and loved it.

This was the easiest class I have taken in a while. All exam questions are from the quizzes. Almost all the quiz answers can be found in his lecture videos. You have to use a little bit of your own reasoning/research but otherwise easy. If you can handle a couple of quizzes/exams per week take this over the wintermester & not as a 16-week!

Brian Johnson is an awesome instructor, I took him twice and I would take him a third time if I could. Very funny and engaging. Be ready for laughs and a good time while also learning a lot!

The professor keeps lectures engaging, and the tests are straightforward if you study the provided materials. unstuck ai was a lifesaver for test prep - highly recommend using it alongside the textbook and lecture videos.

No homework, does an incredible job covering test material. The hardest part is the essay questions on the test but as long as you study well enough you'll be totally fine.

This class is almost perfect. There's no homework besides study guides, which are straightforward and prepare you for all exams. However, he is often slow to respond to emails, and sometimes doesn't reply at all. When exams are returned, you won't get to see which questions you missed. Overall better class compared to others that I have taken.

Professor Bryan is a great psychology teacher. He explain things clearly and make complex topics easy to understand. The class is engaging, with plenty of discussions and real-life examples. They are well-organized, provide helpful materials, and encourage questions. He are also very approachable and supportive. I highly recommend his class!

Eccentric, only grades are exams, he drops 1. Don't have to take final if scored well on other exams. He was funny and overall just a great class.

Mr. Johnson was the easiest professor I've ever had. 5 tests total, one each month and 2 in the last month. They're 50 questions in 40 min, but super easy and not proctored. There is literally no other homework, just the tests. If you're looking for an easy class to take to get the credit, take it with him.

Took his 4 week class and it only consisted of 5 exams(1 of them is the final), lowest grade gets dropped. His lectures don't include all the answers to the exams so readings/book is required. Exams are timed, but not proctored. 50 questions each, 40 minutes to complete. Recommended for an easy A.

I took his summer course and it was one of the easiest classes I've ever taken. He was the funniest professor I've ever had. His lectures are enaging and interesting and he uses real-world examples to help you understand the material. He assigned a textbook but notes were enough for the tests (4+1final, lowest dropped).

What better teacher to teach you TX government than a mayor in Tarrant County? NO one, this is the best government teacher I've had and the best professor I've had while enrolled at TCC in general. I took away more from this class than I have in any other history or government class.
