This class is very content heavy. There is a discussion due every week that consists of a 2 paragraph post and responses to 3 classmates. There is a paper due every other week and sometimes every week. There is an exam every week to every other week, which are multiple choice but extremely hard. This class is interesting, but time consuming .

Dr. Johnson was a pretty good teacher. I took this class as a part of my Psychology minor, and it was an interesting and informative class. You do have a couple assignments each week that take quite a bit of time to accomplish if you want to be up to his standards. I would highly recommend starting on your assignments as early as possible.

I'm a sophomore and Dr. Johnson is the worst professor I have ever come across on this campus. He gives out way too much homework and his lectures don't correspond with it. You can't even study for the tests because they are open book and does not tell you what material the test will contain. I basically changed my major because of him.

Johnson is an excellent professor. He's always willing to help and answer questions. Go to class, take notes, ask questions, and you'll be fine. There's lots of homework. Doing it helps you understand the material. Tests are easy if you pay attention in class. It's open book, but don't only rely on the book. Great feedback on the research proposal.

He assigns "reflection papers" every 3 chapters or so that are worth 20 points. He does an in class writing assignment every class that is worth 2 point each, so there's your participation. His lectures are long and monotoned. He puts the bare minimum on his slides, so I would recommend using your textbook to understand what he is talking about.

He is very monotone which is bad for a student like me that is a visual and auditory learner. His lectures don't have a lot to do with his test which is most critical thinking. Most people will tell you, that reading a book helps, but in all honesty, the book is very inconvenient. He gives 5 reflection papers and the extra credit is worth 1 point.

Psych 101 was fairly easy. There is a lot of material in the course but if you show up to class, pay attention, and take lecture notes you should do fine. He is monotone but he presents the material well and gives several applicable examples. The tests aren't hard if you study and if you write decent papers you get an A.

Great Professor!!! There is a fair amount of homework but he puts the textbook online. Just use your textbook chapter summaries for the exams and you should get at least a B. Every class there is an In-class assignment which usually consists of writing a sentence on what we talked about. Is very lecture heavy and the slides give minimum info.

Every week there is a long written quiz over the chapter(s) read and typically there is a long discussion post due that same week. He has extremely high expectations to where it feels more like an English course than anything. Do not take this course with any other courses that require a lot of writing assignments or you will have no free time.

One of the best psych professors here! Definitely isn't the most engaging/monotoned but I haven't had an issue with it. Has daily in class writing for credit and an average amount of HW. Very very clear expectations and he genuinely wants you to succeed. Recommend for psych 101 and social psych - had him for both!
