Jordan is probably the worst professor I've ever had. In class all he does is sit there and babysit us while we study on our own. If we ask questions, he makes you feel stupid. For our exam, a student arrived the EXACT minute class is supposed to start-and he wouldn't let her in b/c she was too late

This is a really hard class, but it's interesting and he's really clear about what he expects.
Avoid him. He talks about ****ed things that have nothing to do with the class. He makes out the test harder and beyond our knowledge. Don't bother taking notes because nothing he says or writes down will be on the test. One of the worst teachers I've had since high school.
Mr. Brian is one of the best Professors I've ever had. He is so helpful and will stay behind and help students with anything. He's very clear, and while his tests are hard, he really trys to help everyone pass. He's fair and very informative and has no problem telling it like it is. I would take any class he taught.
Mr. Jordan has great knowledge about what he teaches, but he just does not seem to click with the students. His exams are way out in left field rather than what was discussed in class which makes them extremely difficult. This is a tough class, if you are a 4.0 intelligent student then this class if for you OTHER WISE STAY AWAY!

I highly recommend this professor. He keeps class as fun as he can. There were only one or two questions on a test that weren't in our notes and most likely those questions were off the online study guides. As long as you study you should do fine.
Highly recomend Brian make it fun to learn. I took the hybrid class, most of the answers to the test are on the on line study guide. I did not use the book much. It is very fast pace.
Dr Jordan is very knowledgeable about what he teaches, but I took his hybrid course which I found very frustrating. The lecture notes were mostly diff from the book, and online quizzes and he refused to give us a study guide. The nervous system alone was over 30pgs of notes. Also the lab manual doesn't correlate with the book very well. Tough class
He is a great teacher, i had so much fun in that class. we got off topic quite a bit, but he kept it interesting. We didn't use the book much, but as long as you follow the online quizes, you'll do good, the final was an exact copy of the quizes. I highly recommend him!

Worst teacher ever!!! Do not take him if you need any help. He will make you feel so stupid and still not answer the question. If your late to an exam day by 1 second you cannot come in even though he was not always on time. Don't take him you will regret it if you do!
He's hilarious in his lectures, saying "Uncle Brian will teach you everything you never wanted to know." He gave a hilarious lecture on sexual intercourse - in a non-disturbing or uncomfortable way. Students felt comfortable asking questions about lecture material that may otherwise be awkward. He teaches you what you're required to know plus some.
This course is a challenge for anyone who is new to the material but this Professor kept the lectures interesting and told us everything we needed to know. He is available to students who need help and brings real world knowledge into the classroom.
I believe some of these comments are from the prof himself, because this was the worst teacher I've had at LCC. Tests were extremely hard, his lectures are hardly on tested topics, and he is arrogant. YOU WILL REGRET TAKING HIS CLASSES. One kid showed up 3 min late to an exam, and wasn't allowed in.
Disturbing that instructors like this can teach here. I was not amused by his unprofessional and questionable comments/attentions paid to female students. He quotes old and outdated data to make his points. He powerpoints everything and puts little or no new energy into his lectures. He is to be avoided. He is not a good instructor. My opinion....
Update to earlier comment- Could not take my text book back because B.J. had switched to a new text for fall semester. The guy at Gibson's informed me it is the THIRD year he has switched texts. If you plan to return you book to Gibsons, avoid this joker
This instructor is incredibly knowledgeable in his field. That said, this class was extremely difficult. His exams were near impossible for no pre reqs. I had a 3.6 GPA for the last three years, studied hours on end, did the study guides, etc. but never got above a 2.0 on an exam. Little classwork, clear lectures, hard exams. Proceed with caution.
i agree w/ what a lot of others said. he is a hard teacher to talk to or get assistance from. i took hybrid course. READ THE BOOK OVER AND OVER. notes are somewhat useful. exams are hard + dont be late!! he is a bit arrogant.
I've noticed that most of the people with complaints seem to have trouble spelling and making complete sentences. Dr. Jordan is very intelligent, I don't think he's arrogant. He is a little weird with some of the female students. He won't let you in late during tests because it truly would be disruptive. He's a fair teacher, and usually hilarious.
I took this class for fun this sememster thinking that it would be an easy 4.0 since everyother science class I have ever taken I've always 4.0. This class is super hard, and YES he is a bit arrogant and sometimes is hard to talk to. Wouldn't take this class for fun, only if it is required for your major. THANKS
More than anything this class requires commitment. VERY fast paced, material-heavy. Tests are excruciating, yet, other work is do-able. Recommended for: self-disciplined student w/solid study habits. Respectable, worthwhile prof. Not arrogant-more like confident in his teaching. I gained a great deal, despite the struggle. PS- take reg. not hybrid
He clearly states at the beginning of the semester what his expectations are. The late for exams rule he made very clear. Not that hard to get a good grade. Turn in your study guides you get 100% on them. Same for labs. That's 40% of overall. Doing ok on exams gives you a good grade. I got b's on my exams, but easily 4 pointed the class.
Didn't expect us to have only a mid-term and a final. Broke down the semester into 5 sections.

Great teacher, fun guy, tells funny stories in class, willing to help in any way possible when needed. He sets it up so that you don't have to pass every test to pass the class which is fair. There are other assignments that will help boost your grade.
Dr. J is VERY clear about what his expectations are. Follow them, and you'll be fine. If you take the hybrid class, don't bother reading his lecture notes. DO THE ONLINE PRE & POST TESTS - this is where ALL the questions come from for the lecture portion of the exams. Lab portions are mostly memorization. Do what he says and you'll be fine!
Hard nosed. Inflexible. Doesn't listen to student's input. Being tough doesn't require being mean and inconsiderate. Always thinks he is RIGHT. Doesn't seem to learn from customer (student) feedback based on the years of complaints listed on this website about his personal style.

Anatomy is an extremely hard class no matter who you take it with, but this professor really wanted his class to succeed. He offered some extra credit. He will try to help you in any way, and is willing stay after class to go over information again. Lecture exams are real hard if you don't study the book and notes from books website.

Instructions very clear up front and walked the talk. He did things the way he said he would. Got our test scores out quickly. Made class very interesting.

Took his hybrid course-- big mistake! He provides very little direction in regards to what you should study from the text. He provides outlines, but the exams are very detailed and the outlines take days to complete only to find out they weren't very helpful. I'm retaking the course w/ a different instructor. It's like night and day! Don't take him
I think he is an excellent teacher. He makes himself available when you need extra help and he grades on a curve which is awesome. He also drops your lowest lab & lecture test scores. In any other class I would have ended with about a 2.5 but because of the curve and dropped tests I got a 4.0. And he is really funny on top of everything else.
Professor Jordan is a great guy. He has many outside stories to relate to the material we are talking about. Some prior ratings say he is hard;in actuality, this course is a hard course. Study, take notes, and you'll do fine. Jordan is clear and generous with the curves he makes and he pretty much tells you what will be on the lab exams.
I recommend not taking his hybrid course. His lecture notes are extremely lengthy, while his tests consist of very pointed and exact questions. He is humorous, but he made harsh examples of students who asked questions, was very disagreeable, and only allowed students who stayed after on an ambiguous day to be granted much needed extra credit.
This is a hard class but having taken it before I was not worried. Dr. Jordan was not only rude to many students but didn't seem to have much direction. He would tell real life stories which was nice but when a question was asked he would look irritated and barely answer it. His outlines were long and his tests were hard. I wouldn't recomend him.
Fun class! I loved the physical models he used in class for studying and tests the visual aids really helped with the sticking of so much information in my brain. They helped me remember everything well. He was a great professor very caring about weather his students pass or not, I liked that.
Dr. Jordan is a great teacher. His notes are beyond organized, he tests strictly off the notes and grades on a curve. People who have problems are people who cannot follow directions, he makes sure there are no phonesm no food or drinks, and when he asks you to do something he expects you to do it. Dr. Jordan came off as it was a bother that he had to come to class and teach. He used real life stories which helped but his tests were VERY hard, and you HAD to come to class to hear the lecture. He does not grade on a curve anymore but his lecture notes are organized. A LOT of studying for this class and I just took anatomy in high school.
This professor is very difficult to learn from. His tests don't coincide with his lecture material at all. He answers questions incorrectly during review, and he has to curve his tests, since our class's average has been consistently low. All he does is read out of the book and write down the notes, and leaves out the important info on the test.
He didn't take his time with the material. The tests were so hard because the section of the book was no minimized for the test.
The beggining he said students fail this class b/c they dont have enought time for it. Class started with 20 students now there is about 9. I asked for a review to help study, when I got the review it was nothing that we had in our notes. Yet he wants us to know all of this for the test?I wish I would have dropped the class when I could have.
Dr.jordan class is a joke he gives 6 pages of notes to memorize each class and it all of notes u do in class.he is also one of the rudest proffessor I have had in my 80 credits at lcc ! he should not even have a job the way he treats students and preps for test do not take him. He is a terrible prof. He thinks he is really good. He has to look at his notes to point out where things are but makes us memorize everything??!! He's a very smart guy, however, he lacks the ability to communicate with students and actually teach the material. He was very slow, boring, doesn't seem interested in the subject himself. He goes off on rants about random topics that aren't even related to the material. He's horrible at specifying what will be on the exam.
Do not take this professor! All he did was go over the names of things in the lab book, however you could find the answers yourself. He was not engaged in the course and was not helpful when you needed to ask a question. He also needed to go over more material in class than what he did; I couldve stayed home and got the same information on my own.

He also tests you on "previous knowledge" that you should've learned from other classes. His exams consists of info. and questions that you did not go over in class. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

WORST PROFESSOR EVER. hardest class. never take the hybrid. I am so lost. all we do is go over the diagrams and then were done. you have to learn all on our own. class average has never been above a 60 or so. it has compeltely ruined my GPA. I have learned my lesson.

I feel that he is a fair instructor and he expects his students to work hard. He will not just give you a 4.0, but attaining one is possible with hard work. A lot of people want their grade to be handed to them, but anatomy is not an easy topic and for those that are going into nursing the nursing program is not easy.

Brian Jordan is the rudest professors I have ever taken a class with. He is degrading, his tests are extremely difficult, and makes you feel stupid for asking questions. This teacher is by far the rudest most arrogant people I've ever met!!!! He does not even teach what the test materials covers .Its like he doesn't want to see his students succeed. I don't even think he likes to teach anymore. He belittles people and makes them feel stupid in class dicussions. He is the worst teacher. BEWARE!!!!!
Taking this class should be interesting and fun , if you plan on doing something in the health field, but Dr. Jordan makes it absolutely miserable! He has absolutely no passion for teaching anymore and could care less if his students succeed. He does not explain the material well and the things we spend the most time discussing aren't on the test.

Not exactly positive that Dr. Jordan knew what his job title was at LCC because he was more of a narcoleptic philosopher than an anatomy professor. I learned more "dinner table conversation starters" from "Uncle Brian", than anything regarding human anatomy. No clear direction, and exams are poorly conducted.

Its funny how at the end of every semester we are all allowed to leave a review for a teacher and supposedly it determines if they stay, or get fired. I know for a fact that everyone complains about how bad Brain Jordan is at teaching yet, he continues to teach at LCC? I lost over $700 on this class only LCC would allow a teacher like him to stay.
Specifications for what you need to study for tests is not very clear cut at all.
Tells us general ideas of what will be on the test, half of it was never covered in class. If you have a question, he will ask you a question back, thus not answering your question. Talks so quiet you can't hear him. If you take notes during review session, he will tell you not to because he already covered that material during lecture. strange
While Dr. Jordan is very smart this class is very hard and he does not make it any easier. His "study guides" often contain only about 1/4 of what is on the test. He tests off of EVERYTHING in your notes and it is a massive amount to study for. That being said I did very well in the class so if you study, A LOT, you can do well.
I was shocked when reading these comments about Dr. Jordan. Dr. Jordan is a great professor. He has life experience and often makes clinical connections. He seems to care a lot and is always open for questions for clarification. Also, he is very funny. This is a hard class so LOTS of studying is involved. Show up, take notes, study,you will pass.
Oh were to start, this class is very unorganized. It was to be a hybrid course, he made it all face to face. Don't buy the lab book all of the pictures are out of the text (you can use an older copy). Wordbox for lab test was good. But he had each student give two Qs for the test which I am sure he used just 50 that all of his sections turned in
I would not recommend taking this class in the summer with him. He quit teaching the lecture part of the class 1/2 way through the course and told us to be responsible for the lecture part. Never told us what will be on the test. Expects you to know EVERYTHING on the lecture handouts for the test. Very disorganized notes as well. Not very specific
Brian was not an ideal teacher to work with. He yells a lot during the lab portions of the exams and stands behind you the whole time. He is not helpful at all for a hybrid course. Every Monday we go and look over his "models". No teaching is involved in the hybrid course whatsoever, making it extremely hard to succeed in.
This teacher was just unacceptable for my liking, I dropped his class ,made me think twice if i should ever take Bio again! Hes rude, he is literally over your shoulder during exams, he gives you an overload of study guides and the test is really based on one main chapter and the rest are brief from the other chapters.
Dr. Jordan is awesome. Period. I was really surprised to see so many bad reviews on him, because he is the exact opposite of what most of the reviews say. Lectures are entertaining, detailed and notes are accessible online, and labs are very hands-on as far as dissections go. He's very personable and always finding different ways to help students.

He is intelligent and a nice person, but he isn't a good professor. Class is 3 hours, goes through his power point, usually takes 45 minutes and says "you have the rest of class to look at models" Hardly helps & grade is made up of 4 tests; lab/multiple choice-drops lowest. I Had one of the best grades(3.0-84%), most people failed. Not recommended.
I had high hopes for this professor as he seemed like a good guy, which he is but an absolutely terrible professor. Out of a 3 hour class he "taught" for 30 minutes tops then the rest of the time was to look at models. He is extremely quiet as well and sounds like he is whispering, which made it difficult to follow during lecture.
I started out liking Jordan and I try to see the good in all professors. He is funny and his lectures are interesting. With that said he has been INCREDIBLY rude to me and other students, and does not help prepare us at all for the tests, which are the only thing your grade is based from. He is overall very smart, just a very bad professor.
Only grades are tests, you can drop your lowest 2 out of 8 and it is based on lectures that are deathly boring and it says a lab, it is made of up of 3 dissections that are not put together very well and the rest of the lab is when he sets out a diagram and tells us to study it and that's, he does not go over it at all, just tells us to learn it.
anatomy is going to be hard either way, but this man just doesn't teach. he's a funny guy when he does lecture, and i enjoyed conversations with him but as a professor i'm sorry he's awful. he barely teaches, doesn't help you prepare for the exam and tells you to just memorize models. take another professor because you won't learn anything
Dr. Jordan's Anatomy class is extremely test heavy. If you are a poor test taker, forget even trying to pass this class! Your grade is made up of 5 lecture exams and 5 "lab" exams. He really does not teach and speaks so quietly it is difficult to hear him. Exams were disorganized and he can be disrespectful towards students. DO NOT take this class!
I took this as a hybrid online class that met once a week. It is graded only on 5 lab/lecture exams. The study guides he has online ask questions not found in his online lecture, he adds more stuff in class you need to know for the exam that also is not on study guide or lecture. Take someone else if at all possible.
Honestly, do not take his hybrid classes if you're not willing to teach yourself everything in order to pass the exams. And I mean every little last detail. His exams are very hard and thorough, study!! As for the teacher, he is okay. Very rude sometimes, but as long as you don't do something to be noticed, you'll probably be alright.

Avoid this professor at all costs. I took his hybrid course last semester and I had to drop it. For the 3 hour class time once a week, we would only be lectured for 45 minutes. NONE of the material on the study guides could be found in the notes he provided or the textbook. You honestly have to learn everything by yourself. Worst prof I've ever had
By far one of the worse professors Ive ever had. The lecture doesnt match the study guide. Very rude to other students. Doesnt seem like he wants to be there in the first place. Doesnt take advantage of the full class time, will only lecture for maybe an hour. I would advise not to take his class.
Hell write the notes on the bored and never stops to make sure we understand. He also gave us a syllabus the first day with the exact dates for exams, but when our second exam came around he changed the date for it making it a week sooner than everyone had planned, he never told us he did this either.
By far one of the worse professors I've ever had!! This class is absolute hell, I would advise everyone to run. The lectures don't match the study guide, he's very rude to students, you can clearly tell he doesn't want to be there, and he doesn't take advantage of full class time. Everyone is failing this class and that is not a joke.

If you think having a class average of 40-50% on every test is fine then this class is for you, but I find it absolutely absurd. He doesn't curve or offer extra credit either. I don't know why or how he's still teaching.
EVERYTHING you have to learn by yourself or you'll fail. My class is only pulling a 39-42% average right now and it's almost over! The worst teacher I've gotten, AND today he literally took a student out to the hall to berate him for scoring so low while the rest of us waited for class. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.
Don't take this class fresh out of high school. It's for people who really know how to study. There are a small handful of us who are getting A's, and that's because we teach ourselves and have study groups. Only take his class if you're able to spend the better part of your week studying for his tough exams.
I do not recommend taking this class with this professor, he does not take the time to make sure you are understanding the material. He is very hard to understand and his tests are very difficult. I am surprised the administration is still letting him teach because of how awful he is at it.

Your grade is based off 5 exams ONLY. The study guides doesn't correlate with the free online book. If you take the hybrid class, the time in lab usually is less than an hour and a waste of your time and gas driving there. The only reason I passed was by using my A&P book from 20 years ago and studying 30+ hours per week. Otherwise you will fail!
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. The comments are true, the class averages are all below passing, he's very rude to students, and he's not helpful. One of my classmates answered a question wrong and he punished the whole class by deciding he was not going to allow us to answer questions anymore. Also his "labs" are anything but that.
His class was very difficult to take and i would not take his class again. He only grades by exams, so their is absolutely no homework and exams are very hard. He can be rude, hard to understand at times, and his handwriting is hard to read when he uses the projector and writes on the board
I want to start off by saying I am taking this class online so it may be different in person. Yes the only thing that gets graded are tests so if that bothers you I would highly recommend not taking this class. But he gives you all the materials you need to succeed and he is always available for questions. I have no problems with this professor.
HE IS AWFUL I highly suggest you NEVER take this class with Dr. Jordan. He doesn't teach in the slightest and his tests are so beyond hard. Do not take this class if you are trying to maintain a high GPA.
My mother is a nurse and sometimes she would glance at my exams and try to figure the questions out. She had literally no idea what they meant. The SAT makes more sense than the exams and the lab exams are just grey blobs. They're often pictures you didn't even have to study and from the worst possible angles. Please don't do this to yourself.
Choose a different professor! Graded solely on 5 exams and the final exam. Exam questions and all content given are worded differently. All of the study guides are copied and pasted from quizlet, but don't correlate AT ALL with the exams. I'm still trying to figure out how to see questions I answered wrong the exams so I know what to study for.
The labs for this class were in person. I drive almost two hours here to do them. Labs consisted of him talking for 20 minutes and then us teaching ourselves models for 3 hours. He just sat at his computer doing nothing. Goes on terrible tangents. Only grades are tests. No other assignments given to grade.
I had to drop this class solely because of the professor. I only got through two classes. He would carry on about something that has zero things to do about the class. We had to basically teach ourselves, even though the class was three hours. The material was so unorganized, it was hard to follow. If you need someone to teach you, he is not it.
Get a different instructor! I literally just dropped his "class". I have been doing everything I can to succeed but all he'll tell you is "do the study guide" but the study guides aren't any help at all like NONE! Sure, he can be accommodating at times, he's just rude and just sits there expecting you to do his job for him. And oh the tangents ugh
I have taken Brian Jordan's class during the summer semester of 2022. I personally feel like he is rude, I can sense the class is afraid to be a student and ask questions because he'll clown you about it. For this semester it was strictly exams (5) and a final. There is a lot of reading and if you do take the class please seek out a tutor.
He talks really slow, he does not do a good job delivering information and he provides NOTHING outside of the objectives for the chapter in d2l. Not once have been given HW, basically expects us to see it once and know it automatically. Only does presentations in class so if u miss a day you are at a complete loss. only grades are our exams.
The worst professor Ive ever had. There is no work assigned and his lectures teach you NOTHING. its just a very short overview of the chapter. He doesnt use the full time for class and doesnt teach. Try to get anyone but him. He does not care if you pass or fail and won't help you if you are failing. Shames you for asking questions and mumbles
you literally have no hope with this teacher. will take from the textbook and put it in a powerpoint and calls it teaching. you will have an exam every other week that goes over unlearned material on the lecture and lab. overall class grade so far on exams is around a 60%.
Professor Jordon is an awesome professor. He is not easy but tells you everything you need to know for the exams. Your not going to skate by if you don't read the material or study for the labs. You put in the work you will do just fine. Great lectures he's a funny man.
This is the first time I have ever reviewed a professor. Dr Brian is very rude to students. He has made the class afraid to answer questions and participate because of his rude response to wrong answers. He is a smart person, but poor at teaching.
If you need to get a minimum grade for your profession, DO NOT TAKE JORDANS CLASS. Exam score averages remained below a 70 percent all semester. Only grade put in the grade book were exams 1-5. No assignments, homework, or anything else given. Class is extremely difficult to do well in and professor shows no care towards students success.
Taking his was one of my worst experiences. I get its anatomy, you have to study, which i did a lot. Unfortunately his tests were Foreign, not even what we talked about. We had to go to outside sources and that still did not help. It's almost like he was trying to trick us or make it Impossible. He is not a people person, no social skills.
