Great teacher, funny, interesting and just plain fun to go to his class. Exams are somewhat tricky since they are not just knowing the material, but actually applying it. Another note, you may want to pass on the textbook because everything is covered during lectures and you'll more than likely never touch it. Overall a must have professor.

Best prof I've had to date. I had a late afternoon class but it never occurred to me to skip, even on Fridays because the class was always interesting and linked to something relevant.

He is halarious. keeps you entertained while teaching all the material. A very personal class, he gets to know your names and is really helpful. Does tons of examples with his notes to make sure you understand the concepts. The tests were basicly all of of his notes, and were fair. This became my favorite class very easily.

Hands-down one of the best professors I've ever had. His enthusiasm and passion for teaching really shows. Attendance is MANDATORY- topics covered in lectures are what appear on exams. Don't be fooled though, as multiple choice questions on exams are tricky. I recommend skimming through chapters to get a better understanding of the material.

Best class I have had thus far. It is my 2nd year. I came into this class, thinking it was going to be hard. Yet, the way Brian taught made the subjects easy and crystal clear. He used drawings and examples to reinforce the subject. I'm going into the final with a good chance of getting a A. Tip for success is read the book on the subjects taught.

By far the best prof I've had at Macewan so far highly recommended. Classes are always entertaining which is good cause he does not use the book at all.

I had him at a 5-6 class, which i had not choice but to take his class. Right after the first class i felt in love with his teacher style. Even though the class is at 5, yet no one really skip. The class is nearly full everyday. If you go to every class and write down notes, you will pass for sure without any studying.

Brian was a really great law professor. Although I had an 8am BLAW class with him, i actually looked forward to going to going to his class. Make sure you attend ALL of his classes because his exams are based off of his lectures and the examples he gives in class. His exams are tricky but he's a excellent prof. 10/10 recommend.

Hilarious prof! I highly recommend Brian. Great guy, easy marker and clear to understand. Lets you take a cheat sheet into exams that are straight forward an easy 90-100% if you attend all lectures since his exams are taken straight from class notes so you must attend lectures, however lectures are extremely entertaining and funny!

Brian Keller is a must-take prof. If you have to take a legal class such as 210 you have to take it with him. Does not use powerpoints just board notes. Show up and listen you will do great in his class.

Brian is a great professor, a great guy and very funny. His tests in 315 are much harder than 200 level, so if you want to do really well copy down everything he says in class ESPECIALLY the examples he talks about as these are on the tests in some form. Great class, he made the content very interesting.

Personally, Brain was an amazing guy. He does not post notes so attendance is absolutely necessary. He is very funny and gets to know each of his student's names. As well, he uses many real life examples to demonstrate course content. You are allowed to take a double sided cheat sheet into the exam, however, these tests are quite difficult!

Brian was easily one of the best professors I've ever had. His lectures are very entertaining and he makes sure to explain everything he goes over. While attendance was not mandatory, you do have to take all of your own notes. If you have a choice to take his class, do not hesitate.

All of the other reviews say it; great professor, super funny, learns your name, explains everything very clearly with many many examples. Allows a notes sheet in exams but they are tough, you'll likely do much better on quizzes and assignments than exams. You need to show up to class to take notes but you will look forward to it.

Brian is the best Prof/ Teacher I have ever had. Memorizes everyone's names, classes are mandatory but also fun, he keep his class the most entertaining that you have probably. Extremely nice and very funny, only 2 papers, first one is automatic 100% if you do it, the last assignment is hard but he is an easy marker. You will not regret it.

Good prof, classes are fun and engaging. his tests are are based off the class examples he uses. I never bought the textbook and found the class fine along as you go to every class. allowed a cheat sheet for midterms and finals. isn't helpful if you email him but, very helpful if you go see him during class or office hours. Overall as a professor Mr. Keller was excellent at his lectures, he really explained things and was quite funny. However, if you did not attend every class it is very easy to not do as well. He doesn't put any lectures on blackboard & relies on in class teaching. I found his exams to be pretty hard & more scenario based so be prepared

I found Brian to be an amazing prof for B-law; every concept we went through in class was gone through in depth and with many examples. The court assignment was an easy 5% boost to overall mark. I found the exams to be quite difficult, but if you go through your notes everyday and do the questions to guide you he posts online, you should be good.

Hilarious and always cracking jokes. His midterms were a blast because every question was a joke or reference. His exams are tough but you get a cheat sheet. There's a massive paper and presentation. The paper is tough and he grades it quite harshly but the presentation is very casual and light. Changed my minor to business law bc of him! Great guy

Keller is super easy to listen to. His lectures are always interesting, even when the course content is not. He handwrites all of his notes (there are no powerpoints), so you really need to go to class. The "quickest" 50-minute class I've had. Also - I bought the textbook but did not use it.

Oh man Brian... this guy is the best Prof I could have asked for to take Legal with. He makes all the lectures interactive and fun to attend. He tells stories and examples for the subject matter we are learning making it easy to grasp. Also, Hilarious. If being a lawyer or Instructor doesn't work out, could easily be a stand-up comedian.

Brain is by far the best professor I've had. BUSN 201 stressed me out before I took the class because I'm not a fan of law; however, Brain made the class so much fun and interesting I found myself wanting to take another law class. He does call people out to answer questions, so make sure you listen carefully in each lecture.

I have taken three of his LEGL classes (210,315,420) and I would recommend anyone of them. He is not the easiest grader, I have had better grades with other LEGL professors at MacEwan but his classes are worth it.

One of my favorite professors! He classes were engaging and he gave great examples that made the class more enjoyable. Class consists of two midterms, a court report, a memo, and a final exam (he altered the schedule well due to classes being moved online). Do yourself a favor and take his class. You won't regret it!

Keller is the best legal prof at MacEwan. Open honest and caring for all his students. Intellectual property law is Brian's area of expertise and it shows in the passion he puts into this class. If you have ever taken Legal 315 with him this class is identical in structure.

Brian Keller is an amazing professor. It's Covid 2020 and the notes and online videos he made himself for us (going the extra mile for his students). The online notes are SUPER down to earth and it feels just like he's talking to me and his online lectures are never boring. He grades his student fairly so just do some studying and you be fine.

I have had Keller in person, and now online, and I can honestly say that you are getting nearly the exact same quality of teaching from him! He has created his own, super in-depth notes, as well as having explanatory videos to go alongside the notes. Once a week he also has a live lecture to review content and answer questions. SO GOOD!

Brian is fantastic! I wish I could have taken this course in person. He provided lectures once a week based off of readings he put together himself. Three exams, curriculum journaling and a legal memo. Exam questions can be tricky, so make sure you understand the concepts. Brian is also very prompt at responding to any questions you have!

Hands down one of the best profs Ive had. I had him both in-class and online and the online transition didnt affect his teaching at all. His notes and lectures are super entertaining and easy to understand. The tests can be tricky but just make sure to really read the questions properly. Very funny and inspirational; almost wanted to switch majors.

Probably my favourite class of my undergraduate degree. I love how passionate Brian is for this topic. The final paper is fun because you can pick any topic you want as long as its IP related. Attend class because he seriously makes it worth your time and I know the wait list for this class gets super long. I would 100% take this class again

I wasn't sure Business Law would be my thing but Keller definitely changed mind. He provides the reading that you have to get done and the reading matches the tests. He explains the concept with various examples in lectures but you can pass if you do the reading. He is caring and will remember your names too.

He provided readings (with short videos and audios) that covered absolutely everything in the course so a textbook wasn't needed. The exams were non-cumulative and very fair. His lectures are amazing and he made sure students online and in-person were catered to equally. Great prof and person, take him if you can, you will actually enjoy learning!

Brian made this class easy breazy - just read his notes, watch his videos. His tests are based off these and if you understand them you're good to go. 4 non-cumulative exams + optional assignment. Attendance isn't mandatory but sure helps drill the material into your brain for the exams. 10/10 would take any of his classes again!

As others have said, super funny and caring teacher. It is difficult to find motivation for school during difficult times, but this prof creates a fun environment for us to learn anyway with examples for each concept. Make sure you read his notes before class and do the curriculum journaling.

The final research paper for the course is worth quite a bit but you get to choose what you want to write on, and Brian was always ready to help or give guidance. I excelled far beyond what I thought I was capable of thanks to him. Will miss being his student but hope to cross paths with him again!

Love this class, I would take Brian any chance get. amazing overall.

His class has been the best and most enjoyable one I've had throughout my years at university. Super fun while still staying on topic. Provides examples that relate directly to the content. Does call on students if their hands are not up, but just moves on if you don't know the answer (happened to me a few times). 100% knows what he's talking about

He was one of the best profs I ever had, if not the best. His classes were full of content and humourous jokes that would make the class enjoyable; these jokes and examples also ensured that you remembered the content for the test. His tests are a bit tricky, he uses a lot of questions that make you go crazy but you can do assignments to make up

Brian was such an amazing prof, I would recommend him for an easy A. He teaches really well and gives lots of examples in class. He's pretty funny, and he really cares about his students. His exams were pretty easy, and he always gave hints about the questions on the exams. I highly recommend taking his class, he's one of the best profs I've had.

Best prof I've had so far, he's very clear on what he expects and gives amazing examples. There are 4 exams which are pretty tough if you don't pay attention or show up to class. He gives hints in his lectures as well and really cares about his students. He makes his lectures extremely interesting and funny as well as encourages to engage in class

Hands down my favorite prof at Macewan!!! Make sure you go to every lecture class because the examples he uses might be on the exam. His lectures are also very funny and interesting that makes it easy to remember! I wish I had more classes with him

Brian is easily the best law prof I've ever had, he's hilarious and makes the class enjoyable and explains each concept in-depth backed by real case studies. The exams are nearly impossible to do if you don't attend class, so this is one of those classes you MUST go to. If you go you'll understand the material and he tends to give out lots of hints

He makes everyone engaged in his class and makes funny jokes. Make sure to attend his class since he gives similar scenarios that you'll see on the exams. Exams are a bit tricky, and wording sometimes can mess you up, but that's law for you. An optional legal memo assignment can help boost your mark if you perform poorly on the exams. Take him!!!!

Amazing Law Prof! Brian is a tough grader, and his exams require a bit of studying, but his lectures, character, and care toward his students make it all worth it. He is engaging and makes the material super enjoyable. I look forward to taking his other Legl classes.

Double sided cheat sheets, but easy marks when you do your homework. He allowed me to learn by reading by myself because everything he said in lectures were posted on meskenes. It was easy to read through first and then attend and listen to another way he explains it. Fair marker if you put in the work.

Brian was one of the best professor's I've had at MacEwan. His lectures were fun and I actually looked forward to going to them. and he doesn't require you to buy a textbook. His exams could be a little tricky, but were not at all unreasonable. Definitely would recommend taking this course with him.

Keller is the goat man best class I've ever taken so far

Absolutely incredible prof who will go above and beyond for his students. Read his tests carefully, the multiple choice is tricky. His long answers are super easy as long as you go to class - which is already worth it cause his lectures are fun. Would definitely take again.

Caring, polite, and knowledgeable prof. Lectures were entertaining, and Brian addressed each student by name. Read the textbook and attend his lectures and you'll do well. Exams are somewhat brain twisters that require you to really know your materials but not overly difficult. Fair marker and gave good feedback. One of the best prof I've had.

This guys amazing, after the first week of classes he memorized every students name in the class, he also extended the due date by a week for projects since he knew we had other classes to do. Such a great prof I wish I could take him for all my classes, exams are a little bit tricky if you don't go to class but he makes a cheat sheet for you.

Definitely recommend taking a course with the professor. He is friendly and makes it worth going to 9am classes. He had our class laughing all the time. He writes the reading material needed for class. He allows cheat sheets for all the exams and final. He also does real life examples to help students learn and he always draws on the board.

Mr Keller is the best that macewan has to offer. A professor that treats you properly. He helps you succeed and honestly cares about your success. An amazing prof who does everything he can to ensure everyone does well on his exams. His class consists of 4 major exams and 4 journals + an optional legal memo. By the end of the first week, he knew everyone's names and treated everyone with respect. Attending the lectures are really helpful to understanding the material.

One of the best profs I've had to date. Compacts each of the three units into a ~25 page reading, and the way he writes these readings makes the topic so easy to retain and understand. I almost never write reviews, but his course was so well prepared and done I had to leave a review.

I had Brian for Legal 210, and I thought he was amazing!He was the best prof I've had thus far and it's gonna be tough to beat.The lectures that Brian gives are very easy to understand; he gives many great examples and ensures the material we need to know is laid out in a simple fashion.If you are on here looking to take a course with Brian, do it.

Great professor, would definitely take again. He is very clear of what he is asking for. All lecture material will be tested on. Test questions are worded in a very tricky way, so read, read, read.

One of the best professors i have ever had the pleasure of learning from in my four years in legal studies, ended up taking a in person course in the spring just to have him for legl 420 which was a breeze. He is also just so open and supportive of any students needs and supported me through my fear of speaking in front of others.

Although the course is exam-heavy, they're non-cumulative, and you're prepared for them. He's a fantastic professor! Genuinely made me consider a minor in law.

Pretty Good guy

Very nice guy. Has been teaching this course for 20 years. His lectures are easy and entertaining. He does not allow the use of phones during class for a quirky reason. He allows cheat sheets for exams. No textbook necessary. Exams are straight forward but short. He posts exam outlines and chapter notes but is highly recommended to not miss class.

Keller was by far one of the best profs I have had. 1000% recommend. even if you dont like law this guy will make you LOVE it. he made it so fun to be in his lectures. and his midterms were all super easy as long as you do your part in showing up and studying, which isn't hard because he makes it easy to prepare for the tests.
