First of all--this is a very hard class, especialy for a 100-level. However, Bro Lemon is extremely helpful and patient--especially on labs and when preparing for quizzes. He'll devote entire days to helping you review. He is very firm and will not bend on some things, but he's very fair and will help you in any way he can. Strongly recommended.
Very good at teaching. Very difficult grader. One thing I didn't like about the class had to do with the quizes were subjectively graded. The questions were general, but the answers he was looking for were specific. The two don't go together, especially if he doesn't tell you what he wants in lecture.
His grading for the quizes is very subjective. He looks for very specific answers on them.
Hated the class, He was way hard and hard to understand. Makes you feel dumb if you talk to him and seems judgemental if you don't get it. Tests and quizes are killer.
Very easy on the material. He doesn't teach hard concepts. Easy tests
His testing styles are very random. He gives you false ideas about what will be on the tests. Word to the wise: If you think you've got him figured out, forget it, he'll switch it up.
An awful teacher. Not interested in helping students learn, but rather he focuses on semantics. If you please him, he gives you the grade. If you don't agree with his point of view respectfully, he crushes you. Being a professor is where he gets his since of self worth. To that end he will give you the grade that justifies his self-esteem.
this guy sucks. he hates it when you know more than he does. if you don't word answers exactly like he wants he docks points. you'll end up with a bad grade if you don't just make super good friends with this weirdo
I really liked Bro. Lemon! I am suprised at the negative respnse. He was hard no doubt, but it's chemistry, so I kinda expected that. He is very smart, funny and seemed willing to help me.
So arrogant--no one could even talk to him and get help. He didn't really care about students learning the material.
Tests are hard, but the material is harder. He seems to really love biochemistry so it makes it easy to come to class. I think of him as kind of a translator of the textbook, come to class confused, leave understanding. Sometimes lecture goes a little too fast for me, but other students seem to be catching on as well and it makes sense in the end.
Brother Lemon is a great teacher who is passionate about the subject. He teaches at sophisticated level, but has a way of bringing it down to your level. His test are hard, but if you do the chapter review problems you are ready for them.
He is a good guy, but was the hardest teacher I ever had. I worked SO HARD to get a B+ in his class, and then in 106 with no effort got an A with Brother Ott, and that's not how it should be. THE TEACHER DOES MATTER. His tests are 25 multiple choice questions, and they are fair. You never get blind-sided. His quizzes and labs will kick your trash.
Assanine amounts of busy work. 4 hour long tests. The material covered in class is not that difficult but he seems to do his best to make it as hard as possible. I spent more time doing homework for this class than all my other classes combined. This is the hardest class I have ever taken. Nice guy but out of control with homework and tests.
Professor Lemon is a professor I would not recommend to anyone. If you have questions do go to him because you will get the sense that he does not care at all. Also, he speeds through the material and give very difficult in class quizzes.
I've never had to work so hard for C in my life! He is extremely passionate about the subject but sometimes had a hard time bringing topics down to our level. Tests were really tough but if no one did well he did curve it slightly. He sometimes makes students feel stupid if they don't understand the concept being taught.
I have taken cell bio, physics. o-chem, genetics, chem 106, and bio chem (at BYU- sorry folks, it is generally alot harder) and still chem 105 with Brother Lemon was the worst class I ever took. I never felt so unprepared for a standardized final in my life. The only B+ I ever got. Not at all helpful. Take Dabell.
Brother Lemon is really passinoate about the subject but he dosent bring the material down to the level of his students. the class is rediculously hard for being an basic overview class and his tests are absolutly rediculous. again he is a good teacher but i wouldnt reccomend taking FDSCI from him especcially if it is for your first semester.
He is a very good teacher, he loves the material & knows just how to explain it. It takes some time to read but if you pay attention in class, take the quizzes, take & review notes & do the assignments (which you can get tons of help on) you will find yourself successful in the class. Lemon is one of the easiest FDSCI teachers on campus.
Great professor. Brother Lemon is passionate about science and does a great job at explaining it simply. Exams seem difficult for most but just take notes in class so you have something to study and you'll do great.
This quy tries to be helpful, but I thought this class was a waste of time. He didn't really know the material. He presented WAY too much info and hardly any of it was on the test.
Bro. Lemon is a really nice guy with a great sense of humor but his exams are KILLER! Most questions could have more than one answer but it's like he expects you to pick the "best choice". It seems like no matter how hard you study, the exams will hurt in the end because you'll rack your brain wondering what answer he wants.
I liked Brother Lemons class, you can tell he's excited about the subjects and he tries to explain subjects a lot of different ways so people can understand more.
It started out ok. Bro. Lemon said he would pull questions from the quizes and study guides, and then you go to the testing center, and most of the questions were NOT from those two. If you don't have any science backround, this will be tough. He takes attendance with an I-Clicker. Final is ridiculous. Take someone else for this GE
This class was hard! I did all I could and when I went to him for help he didn't seem to willing to help. The write on for his test was ridiculous! He went off on tangents and it was difficult trying to sort out what was relevant and what was random. Doesn't curve test. Seems to favor chem majors and everyone else kind of gets left behind.
Pros- Genuine, witty, articulate, respectful, organized, professional. Cons- Expect an A - C, depending on how smart your class is. ex. my 2006 buddy's tests: 77, 68, 85, 78 grade: A- my 2008 tests: 62, 83, 85, 79 grade: C-.
Bro. Lemon is extraordinarily intelligent. He's a funny fella and contrary to apparent common belief, he DOES care and tries to help you understand the course. He encourages questions and invites students to make use of his office time. The reading is usually easy. I hate science but I loved this class. Tests are hard if you don't study.
Brother Lemon is an awesome teacher. Your tuition money will be well spent in his class. And he's hot.
Started out with stuff that was easy to understand and then moved into hard equations. Daily quizzes and assessments. Huge class so he doesn't know who you are. Pretty interesting if you have any idea what the crap he's talking about. Definitely take another teacher for this class. He's much more interested in the higher level sciences.
Don't expect much from this guy. He's too prone to going off on tangents and his tests are ridiculous. TAKE THE CLASS FROM SOMEONE ELSE. There are so many better options. He does not care about his students in the slightest but loves the sound of his own voice. Sorry, but true.
Does very well at helping you focus in on what is important from readings through study guides, quizes, and assignments. (Those also help pad your grade, so tests don't kill you) Very enthusiastic about what he teaches.
The difficulty of the class seems to depend on how smart everyone else is. If people and ask lots of smart questions, he will go on tangents and whimsically decide to put them on the test. Plus side, things not covered in class aren't on test. He is helpful about preparing you for the test. I learned much, he is very enthusiastic about the subject.
Super hard! Funny guy but his test are nothing what he teaches in class. Do the readings! Memorize the slides! Tough TOugh class!
He loves chemistry usually has interesting lectures The class gets progressively harder. Be prepared to use the book and practice problems He often puts what is in the book but may not have been covered in lecture on the exam but if you really know the practice probs in the book you should be fine Attendance points boost your grade a lot so show up
Very nice teacher who loves what he's teaching. There is a lot of material to memorize and tons of study guides. I would definitely recommend getting a tutor for this class. It was interesting, but tests are hard and it's a lot of work.
He is really enthusiastic about science which makes the class excited. The tests are a bit difficult but if you study you will be fine. I really enjoyed his class!
Brian Lemon is always reevaluating his teaching style and makes the subject fun and interisting
If you are taking him for Foundations, and not because you love science, then you're in trouble. He is very mysterious on what goes into the tests, so you have to study everything. He assigns a TON of reading from more than just the Science book. But he loves what he teaches, and he tries to help you out. He's just vague about what to study.
I just LOVE this class. I'm usually not as interested in science, but Bro Lemon makes it fun and I learn something new every time I go into his class.
He won't actually listen to your questions, no matter how many times you ask and he says the same unrelated answer. Loves to hear his own voice, loves when he's made a ridiculous test everyone fails, and actions show he does not care about the students
easy A in the class. knows his science. class is always fun
He definitely has a passion for science, and he loves to teach. However, you can study forever and still not get even a high b on his tests. He doesnt help you to know what is on the test and is unsympathetic towards bad test grades. However his other points bring up your grade. IMPOSSIBLE to get an A without getting at least B+average on tests.
Tests are extremely hard. You get lots of points from the homework and other work, but the tests bring your grade down a lot. He teaches in a way that is almost always confusing and doesn't really answer your question very clearly. I would definitely not recommend him.
I don't know why everyone else is complaining about how you don't what to study... If you do the assigned readings and listen in class then it's an easy A. If you think his class is hard... wow.
Bro Lemon is so cool! His lectures are entertaining and interesting and he reminds me of Bill Nye the Science guy. Hard tests, but if you study hard and actually apply the material you can get atleast a B on each test. The group assignments can get annoying, but overall they really helped me learn the material.
Bro Lemon loves science. His enthusiasm is really great and he'd probably be a good Bill Nye the Science Guy. Classes are okay, but the course is so general it's hard to really like. But it's good for what he's given and is easy to get a good grade, just do the reading and study a little for the test.
He is really funny and makes sci interesting. Best sci teacher ever!!
Loved him! Easy class, funny guy. He really loves his subject, and it's really funny watching him dance around because he's so genuinely excited about science. :P You grade yourself, all the homework is based on the honor system. Weekly study group meetings can be very fun! Definitely recommend him.
He was interesting but tested you on things that he used as examples in class and comparisons made.. He was alright, but you would be better off taking it from someone else. I would never recommend him.
I don't think he was easy at all. He was a good teacher but he does not understand that a 100 level class shouldn't be so hardcore.
Brother Lemon is extremely passionate about science. I personally have no interest in science, but his Science Foundations class was the most interesting for me this semester. He himself was a rather scatter-brained teacher. His notes were unorganized all over the white board and power points. His tests only have 25 questions; hard to study for.
Bro. Lemon is a great teacher! It was the hard class of the semester but definitely worth it. His energy keeps you engaged in the class. Do the homework and study for the tests. I did well in the class but I also got a tutor for it!
Brother Lemon is an incredible teacher! He definitely reminds me of Bill Nye the science guy because he is so energetic and passionate about what he teaches. He explains everything in a way that is totally comprehensible and he also uses videos, ppts, visuals, and cool demos to introduce new topics! Never a dull moment in that class. Nice guy.
Bro. Lemon is a great teacher. I enjoyed attending his class each day. The class was easy and slow paced at times. I learned that I can accept science and still be a faithful member of the Church. My favorite class of the semester and one of my favorites in the two year I've been here.
He's awesome!
He was a very good teacher. It was a good experience
Brother Lemon is fantastic!! He is very clear about what is expectations are and what will be on the test, and he is always willing to talk to you after class. Class is a ton of fun because his passion for science is contagious!
He is a very good science teacher makes the discussion very interesting in class with experiments and clicker questions(which is how he takes role but aren't graded). He is very passionate about science but his tests get harder and harder progressively. I would recommend him if your major is science based. Otherwise I would choose an easier prof
Brother Lemon is a great teacher especially with the enthusiasm he has for the subject. His excitement makes you want to learn. His tests can be kind of difficult.
I wasn't too excited coming into this class, but Bro Lemon is a good teacher. Assignments for the most part are medium to easy. Tests are medium on difficulty. He covers controversial issues and teaches how science and religion work together not against. I really like his class. although he does mostly just lecture. Homework is all online.
I loved brother lemon! He is really enthusiastic about science and shows how science and religion compliment each other. The homework can be tough if you don't read the text book. You'll have a 5 question quiz on the days you have class and every weekend there's an assignment and 10 question quiz all online. The tests can be hard. Great teacher
Brother Lemon is such an amazing teacher! I wasn't very excited about science before I took his class, but he's so enthusiastic and his lectures are interesting. If you take good notes, do all the homework and go to class, you can pass the tests. This was one of my favorite classes this semester. It was great!
The easiness of this class depends on how much you put forth. Weekly assignments and daily quizzes are main grade, with tests every few weeks. He teaches well and takes lots of questions, if you take and study your notes you can easily pass his class! Lots of students think he's a bit like Bill Nye the Science Guy, he makes science fun.
Bro. Lemon is so cool. He is honestly one of the best teachers I have had up here. You can tell he enjoys science and teaching and he cares about his students. Great Class! Take Foundations Science from him. It is worth it!
A good class. Bro. Lemon is ery interesting and explains stuff in a way that is easy to understand and fun. Recommend him for FDSCI 101.
He is very passionate and knows what he is talking about. However, he doesn't appreciate it if you question his opinions. He is very straightforward. You show up, he lectures you for an hour, you leave.
Brother Lemon is so cool. He is a smart guy,and he wants you to learn what he teaches. He prepares well for test, when he teaches you something that will be on the test he is quick let you know that it's important. Take him!
Bro. Lemon is such an awesome guy! He loves what he does and brings major enthusiasm to each class. Relates gospel principles to science SO WELL and really makes you think. Weekly online quizzes are easy and help your grade. Tests were of average difficulty. Really recomend him!
Brother Lemon is amazing! Great teacher and really passionate about science. He helped me understand the material and very willing to answer questions. We used the books religiously but it's all online and it's really interesting information (most of the time). We have study groups; I know I wouldn't have gotten an A without them! Take it from him!
Bro. Lemon is an awesome teacher! He definitely made class interesting and fun and I learned SO much in his class! It did seem like a little too much work for a 2 credit class though. But I don't regret taking it at all. Definitely widened my understanding of science! Great class!!
Brother Lemon is the real life Bill Nye the Science guy. He was so passionate about what he was teaching, so the class wasn't as boring as it could have been. I would definitely take another class from him.
great guy who loves science. I hardly paid attention in class, but i studied hard and always met with a tutor before a test but i still did not do so great on the tests. I walked out of the class with a B. never forget to bring your clicker to class! you use it for him to take attendance and attendance counts toward your grade. hope this helps.
Fantastic teacher. He makes very good use of class time explaining — very clearly — the concepts that you are expected to learn. He has a genuine interest in what he's teaching, which helps a lot. Very fun and enjoyable class. There is mandatory group work outside of class, but that turns out to be enjoyable and extremely helpful.
Brother Lemon is so passionate about science. He makes everything so interesting. At times, I would find myself wanting to be a scientist, until he would start writing equations up on the board. But all in all, one of my favorite classes ever!
Bro.Lemon is one of my favorite! The subject itself was not easy but he made it super interesting!
Nice guy, but I did not like him as teacher--if you didn't understand the material he seemed annoyed if you wanted him to further explain. He taught the class like you should know Chemistry already. He tells you to "write this down" a million times. Dropped his class. Does not curve, has comprehensive final. Will take it from someone else.
I find Bro. Lemon to be a challenging teacher to review. He is a great guy, but his tests are riduculously difficult and poorly worded. Doing the packets will help a little, but if you can't follow his lectures and take GREAT notes simultaneously then your grade will suffer as a result.
The class was harder than I thought it should be, but he was willing to help me figure out stuff that wasn't clicking in class. Class wasn't as fun as lab, but he had fun in both at least. Like I said, I was hoping the class would've been easier, but the professor went out of his way to help me understand it.
One of the best teachers I've had. He was helpful/always gave office hours to answer questions, and posted tons of resources. He expects that you work and if you do you succeed. He LOVES chem and really instilled a love for the subject in my previously skeptical self. I would definitely recommend this teacher - He wants you to learn.
Bro. Lemon is great, but hard. Class discussions are stemmed from his study guides. Points only come from the 8, 100 point tests. Tests are not curved. Class average at the end of the semester will be curved. Friends of mine that didn't have a biology background struggled.
I took both biochemistry classes from Bro. Lemon and he is the man. Class is hard but he makes is very interesting and enjoyable to learn. He's a great guy and one of my favorite teachers on campus.
Great teacher. Super Helpful. He has a passion for Biochemistry and it makes everyone in the classroom gain that same excitement. Gives you a study guide for each section. Test questions are straight from the study guide. Down side is that tests are the only way to earn points. He is very clear in the way he teaches.
Brother Lemon is a super nice guy but his teaching is all over the place. The tutor is the only reason I got an A. Some people love him and understand him...I guess it just depends on your learning style. No textbook required. There is a test every other week as we'll as a quiz. Doesn't curve exams but curves at end of semester.
Don't miss a day of this class. It's 5 days a week and every single lesson builds on the one before it. Extremely difficult class, I think there were 2 A's out of 25 students. That said, he cares passionately about his subject and it shows it's one of the most relevant courses I've taken as far as what he expects you to know. Tests are crazy hard.
He explains things in a very clear way. It is easy to keep up with this class as long as you attend class, do the roadmap, and review for the tests. Chemistry is much more interesting than I thought it would be thanks to Bro. Lemon.
Strives to be ambiguous with his lectures. Will go at lengths to avoid giving away material that you will be tested on. No point on going to class. You can get a better grade by listening to his recorded lectures. Grades on a goodbetterand best format. Know's that his students can all achieve A's, but will grade his students on how right you are.
I really liked his style of teaching. He is clear and is so excited about biochemistry. He is willing to help you if you are making the effort on your part to study and understand the material. Great instructor and made me want to continue to keep up on the latest in biochemistry.
Bro. Lemon is great! I really enjoyed having him as my teacher. The only thing I will say is that he makes you work for your grade. But, if you're willing to work for it, he'll help you in any way he can. He's a super nice guy, very upbeat, and LOVES his job. He tries to get to know his students which makes him that much better. Highly recommended!
Bro Lemon was by far one of my favorite teachers. He makes lectures interesting with his jokes and experiments in class. He is very passionate about the subject and made me actually enjoy chemistry! If I stayed on top of things with the study guides I was totally fine in class but if I didn't do my homework it was more difficult to understand.
Brother Lemon is easily one of the best teachers on campus. He's nice, understandable, wants you to succeed and funny! He has so much passion for chemistry it makes me want to love it as well!
Brother Lemon is an awesome teacher. He records his lectures which really helps out because there is a lot to learn in just one hour,so it helps watching the videos again in order to understand the material. Also take advantage of the tutors, they help clarify a lot of things. Your grade comes from tests only and some can be tough. Manageable class
Great teacher. Every test has study guides and if you do the study guides you will do exceptionally well on the test. Super nice guy always willing to help and wants you to succeed.
Brother Lemon is a great teacher! His homework and quizes are not too tough and he is super fun and enthusiastic. The one thing I would warn you about taking him is that he requires you to memerize alot of things and they are always on the tests and quizes. If your good at memerizing you'll do great.
Bro Lemon is awesome, and so outgoing. Although his teaching style doesn't really match my learning style. He provides a study guide for each test, which are very helpful. If you don't do the study guides, you won't pass the tests. This is a class where you definitely have to practice, and put your time in, or you won't learn the material.
Bro. Lemon is a great teacher and chemist. But the style of the class is really weird. No textbook, just his slides (which are summaries and don't explain concepts), the study guides are nice but he never goes over all the material in class, and there is always something he forgets to talk about. He never finishes material BEFORE tests, which sucks
I loved this class! Brother Lemon made the material fun to learn because he was so energetic about Chem. If you form a study group and meet with them regularly it will help you get the information down. Study your notes well and go to class! If you put in a little time everyday outside of class you will do great in the class!
He is an awesome teacher that is the best. He is a great dude and an awesome father to his kids. That is what he tells us at class about his kids and him. He has an awesome child named Ben who rates him all the time.
I was really nervous about taking Chem 150 but Brother Lemon is an amazing teacher. There are a lot of tests but they are only 25 question, multiple choice. He doesn't collect homework, it's to help you study. I took Bio 180 at the same time and I normally looked at the chem notes for the bio tests. It helps with anything for nutrition too.
this professor is a nice guy. you will have to work to get a good grade. He may be funny, and he wants to help.
Lemon only teaches biochemistry Spring semester, and Rubish teaches Fall and Winter. Consider yourself lucky if you take it Spring semester! He is extremely transparent about what he expects you to know. 100% of the grade is from the tests. If there is a question on the exam that most people miss, he drops it. But is a little too picky on write on
Professor Lemon goes through material too quickly and you have to know so much for the tests. He makes you memorize the most pointless stuff, you literally memorize almost every single thing you are exposed to in this class, my brain was so full I thought it would explode! I got a good grade but it was a lot or work!
This course was designed for a biology major learning more about how chemistry relates in the body. For a chemistry major, this was the hardest class I have ever taken. I worked my butt off for this class, and still only got a barely passing grade. On the write ons, he asks very vague questions and expects very specific answers. Take biology first!
Brother Lemon was amazing, and is responsive to questions. He records lectures, but please go. Biochem can be hard for people and I understand why, but it can be easier 1: take notes 2 *STUDY BUDDY, just explain concepts together before tests, my tests went from C's to A's (REALLY)* (most important) 3: Watch lectures again if you are lost
He's nice, but doesn't prepare you for exams. He claims the studyguides help but they've never helped me (they list questions that don't show up again). I've met with him and it doesn't help either. He rambles a lot during lectures, has no text book and expects you to learn from the slideshow, lecture and study guide, but they never help on exams.
This class is one of the most boring classes I have ever had. There is nothing like reading scientific articles only looking to identify rhetorical structures. Not useful and took the fun out of science. I have nothing against Brother Lemon but this class is a waste of time and I never want to read another scientific paper again.
This class is supposed to help you know how to read and understand scientific articles. After taking this class, I never want to read another scientific article. This class was a waste of time and I do not think any feedback given was of any use. Not sure what was due and why or how it was graded. This class is the worst. Should not be required.
This is a class that is only worth one credit but the work required for an A is much more! Brother Lemon gives unusable feedback and grades it so harshly. It's supposed to help you get better at reading chemistry articles. I never want to read another one after this class. Joke of a class. Only take if required.
The current way this particular course is ran is a waste of time. For this being a 1 credit class, it has at the very least 3 credits worth of work. No clear structure is available for this class. You are left to guess what you need to do. Once you turn something in, it is graded and he tells you the format is wrong, but not told how to fix it.
Is not helpful. Talks about his experience in struggling to get his PhD and tries to tell you to struggle through everything. However, this subject is not useful. He will just tell you that you are wrong in your format (without giving you formatting instructions) and tell you to fix it. You never know what you should do. This class is a wasted hour
Rude and disrespectful. For final presentation he wants you to have an expert podcast studio or he will dock you points. There is no criteria given and you have to guess to do what you need. Assignments are not beneficial and only busy work. I wanted to like Brother Lemon but I have never been talked down to so much. This class is a disappointment.
He is passionate about chemistry and knows a lot about chemistry. He made this dull topic become more interesting. The class is hard anyway, might as well get a cooler professor like him.
His recorded lectures are awesome and very easy to follow along with. He makes the topics easier to understand and explains them very clearly. The material is difficult but with enough studying it's definitely do-able.
I had Brother Lemon's online lectures. They were absolutely amazing and he was able to dial down on every term needed for upcoming tests.
I LOVED Brother Lemons's class. He gives you plenty of resources to do the work. Every test I did I felt pretty good about. Just make sure that you're ready to do a good amount of work. It's not that bad, just keep yourself caught up.
So I don't want to blame brother lemon because I think the overall chemistry department is pretty trash. Each write on test has an average of 30-40%. Brother Lemon is nice and is very passionate about chemistry but he doesn't even know what's on the tests until about 3 days before the test. Brother lemon is great but the grading is garbage.
Y'all I cannot recommend Brother Lemon more. He is super funny, inspiring, caring, smart, and an amazing professor. He cares about his classes and is extremely knowledgeable in them. I took chem 250 from him and will 100% be taking more classes from him.
Brother Lemon is awesome. He is so passionate about organic and biochemistry and it makes class super fun. . All of his slides and lectures are always recorded and posted, making it super easy and convenient to catch up if you missed a class or go back and review anything you didn't understand.
Brother Lemon reminds me of Tim Allen lol, he loves chemistry and does his best to help you learn the material and gives you plenty of practice opportunities. I would recommend Brother Lemon to anyone. He won't give you an A, but you can definitely earn one through his class.
My FAVORITE teacher, period. His style fits me perfectly. My mind was blown regularly. Many visual aids & real-life examples, which adapt each semester to suit each class. He can ramble, but he tells you EXACTLY what to memorize, know, & do. DON'T get behind (aka skip class). Lecture videos may save you (like me), but stay on top of it and PRACTICE
Brother Lemon is awesome! His level of understanding is incredible. He is very smart. His testimony of the church as a science person is inspirational.
Professor Lemon is engaging and makes the challenging material more interesting. The class is tough, but his recorded lectures and unstuck AI make it easier to keep up. Worth taking if you're willing to put in the effort.
Lemon is AMAZING! I couldn't recommend him more, the FRQ's in Chem105 are rough, but if you fail all of them, you can still pass with an A- in his class. He makes chemistry actually applicable to real life, which is hard for me to imagine sometimes.
Brother Lemon is an amazing chem teacher, every time I had a question and stayed after class, he had no problem in answering. I liked that he gave us back our tests, with feedback on them, to see what did we do wrong. If we wanted to follow methods found outside class to solve a problem, he would let us do that, and also let us know, if its correct
Brother Lemon is a great Professor. However, I do question the chem department. it was the hardest and most disjointed class I've ever taken hands down. If you are an OSH major this class will probably make no sense to you whatsoever. Speaking from experience.. as long as you get at least D's on all the exams you should be able to pass the class.
Hes a good and engaging professor. I do wonder who the people behind these chem courses are because this class made no sense to me. one moment we are talking about one concept and then another moment we are talking about another concept. its hard to piece everything together. I knew I was LUCKY to get a B on the exams no matter how hard I studied
Professor Lemon was super fun in lecture, respectfully answered students' questions, and made my introduction to Chemistry a blast. He has a background in BioChem so he is great for answering questions if you are studying Bio 180 at the same time. Overall, I can tell he wants his students to succeed and will help you if you put in the effort.
Prof. Lemon is the BEST choice for taking Chem105, the class is a breeze, and he breaks down each concept so clearly. Mandatory attendance, but he teaches pretty much solely from lectures and the course goes quickly, so missing would be ill advised anyway.
Brother Lemon's class was surprisingly fun to be in. There's a lot to cover in his class, but he sets you up for success. You'll need to come to class and give meaningful time to homework (not last minute work (study group it!)). These help a lot in time. It's a class you don't want to take if you are thinking you might burnout during the semester.
Bother Lemon is a very difficult teacher. He gives assignments that are quite confusing unless you already know the material and some assignments that don't pertain to Chemistry at all. When he tries to go over the tests and what you need to know, most of it ends up not being on the tests. The tests are also all cumulative, making it hard to pass.
I found Brother Lemon's class very enjoyable and definitely worth waking up for a 7:45 class every day. He is always willing to entertain out-of-scope or tangential questions in a way that enhances the learning process while staying on topic.
