Professor Weber is a great teacher, very helpful, seems to understand students, knows a great deal about his subject, respects students, goes out of his way to help those who work hard, and I would recommend this professor to any student taking English 111 or English 112.
PROFESSOR WEBER MAKES HIS CLASSES VERY ENJOYABLE. HE IS CLEAR AND CONSISE ON HIS EXPECTATIONS. HE IS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP ANY STUDENT THAT REQUIRES IT. HE IS VERY DOWN TO EARTH AND MAKES YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE.
Awesome!
I hated his class. He is unfair and the worst teacher I have ever had. Do not take his class.
Prof Weber goes above and beyond to help his students.
Prof. Weber is very helpful, makes his expectations and assignments clear, responds to e-mails/calls quickly, has office hours, and tries hard to connect with students and help them to appreciate literature/writing.
He is great. Down to earth and funny. VERY helpful and really wants you to do good. I hate english but I really did enjoy this class hes a great teacher. I wouldn't say it was an easy class but he will try his best to help you through and get a good grade as long as you show effort.
Good man indeed. Weber keeps you on topic, but at the same time keeps the class fun. He is easy to get along with and to talk to as well. Don't disrupt his class and treat him with respect and he will return that to you ten fold. Recommend taking Weber over any other English teacher.
I had no interest in drama plays until I took this class with Prof. Weber. He is a great teacher and I highly recommend that everyone take him. Be prepare to do a lot of writing that's what this class is all about! He keeps it interesting.
Great Professor! Laid back, respectful, and easy if you do the work. He does critique your essays pretty thoroughly and tough but thats mainly what the class is based on, and he allows re-writes most of the time. I would really recommend him.
I took Prof. Weber for online English 111 and 112. High expectations, fair grader, quick to respond to e-mails, posts weekly assignments & announcements on time, great feedback on written assignments. He posts model essays which is great for those who are new to writing academic essays.
Took Prof. Weber for online English 111 and in-class Eng 112. He is a fair grader, good sense of humor, sincere interest in teaching/learning and not full of himself like some profs. I'm a better writer because of his class. He shows you how to improve your writing instead of just throwing a grade on the paper and leaving you to figure it out.
Great professor, highly recommended. I took him in class for ENG 111 and taking him online for ENG 112. He is a fair grader and wants each student to succeed. Very respectful and laid back as long as you get your work done.
Professor Weber was awesome. He is very laid back and takes the time to work through any questions you may have. As long as you attend class, and do the work, you will pass! He has a corny sense of humor but it makes the time in his class fly by. He is very fair with grades, and his tests are beyond easy.
Really awesome professor. Genuinely cares about the students and takes the time to show his appreciation for each individual student. Mr. Weber adjusts the class around the students instead of vice versa as many proffs do. Great guy. Super sweet and easy to listen too.
EASY A!! He's an easy grader. He makes class funny. Helpful. This class was easier than my English 111 class.
Fun class, Laidback, Awesome sense of humor, makes him sexy. Enjoyed the class. In depth grader, Im not sure what I got, I am thinking a B but hoping an A.
DO NOT TAKE HIS ONLINE COURSE. SO MUCH WORK. He thinks you don't have other classes. We have to read, do a reading assignment, a journal, a discussion and a essay in one week. SERIOUSLY?
Took Prof. Weber's online English 112 and it was by far the best online class I've taken. His expectations are very clear and he is active in the classroom every day. He adds audio lectures and model assignments which was great because I was really nervous about taking classes online.
I was in Prof Webers online ENG 112 class. He does expect a lot during the week but, you have from sunday-sunday to complete it. It's not so much that you can't do it. I really enjoyed his online class. He responds to emails quickly and is very helpful! I would recommend him to anyone.
I ENJOYED THIS CLASS MORE THAN ANY OTHER CLASSES EVER. PROF. WEBER IS AWESOME.
Prof. Weber was great. Read the book and give the essays your best effort and you'll do fine. Super personable and willing to help. Would definitely recommend him to everyone.
Took online Eng112. Gave enough work to keep me busy. You get a full week to complete each assignment, it is enought time. He also offers audios to help with difficult readings. Use them, they help. He slows down on work at end of semester so you can prepare for final and complete papers due.I found that to be a big help. yes take this class
Prof. Weber is one of the best professors I've had at AACC. He really spends a lot of time working to develop your writing skills and comes to class prepared and ready to engage the students. The best advice I can give is to attend class, participate in the discussions, and build upon the professor's excellent feedback on essays.
Had Mr. Weber for a summer class. He was very helpful and understanding when work conflicted with class. He's very fair at grading too
Passionate and kind. If you listen to him in class, you will do well. Gives lots of feedback on papers, if you take his feedback your grade will improve. He is a fair grader and a really nice guy. I took his summer class which is accelerated and he gave us enough work to be busy but didn't kill us. I would take his class again.
Prof. Weber offers a perfect balance: he's funny and laid back yet professional and hold students to a standard. He is open-minded and welcomes different opinions, yet he has a lot of knowledge to share. He has high expectations, but will go the extra mile to support you if you work hard. I left his class as a confident writer.
Prof. Weber is an expert when it comes to writing essays, but to get the most out of his experience and knowledge you have to show an interest and ask questions. He stayed after class every day to meet with students. He also grades major essays in-house, with the student present, so that he can clearly communicate strengths and weaknesses.
I was nervous about taking this class. Prof. Weber is a tough grader on essays but he is very patient and flexible. He takes you through various stages of writing and presents material clearly. You can re-write the first essay but then it's up to you to show that you know the skills on the other essays. He is very clear about expectations.
Prof. Weber wasn't bad. I think he was way too busy and it would take a few attempts to get a response from him. He didn't stay with the course assignment time line in the syllabus, which cause a moderate amount of confusion during the course. Like I said in the beginning, he seemed to have a lot going on.
I was really nervous about taking my first online course and my first college English class, but Prof. Weber was flexible and he provided way more feedback on essays than I ever got from a class in person. He does not give busy work and all readings and assignments are related to the mid-term and final. I will take Prof. Weber for ENG112!
I thought this class was going to be my least favorite, but Prof. Weber has a good sense of humor, was clear about expectations, and he gave me a lot of feedback on essays. You can re-write the first essay, but after that you've got to show what you learned. Not crazy about some of the readings, but I still learned a lot.
I took Eng 111 with Prof. Weber and loved it! With all of my other classes being very stressful this one put me at ease. He does give a fair amount of work but will never pester you with "busy work." He is a tough grader on essay's but it is clear what is expected of you before you turn your essay's in. I would definitely take Prof. Weber again!!!
I really enjoy his class. I am definitely going to try to take him again for the next level of english next semester. He is really a great guy. Always is fair about turning in work, You have until the end of the day to turn in the homework, which is much appreciated for when you are overloaded and just need to get it done after class.
I'm a much better writer after taking this class. Prof. Weber is not an easy "A" on essays, but he does give you quality feedback. I wrote a ten-page "one word" essay which turned out to be my best essay ever. The assignment gave me confidence to expand my ideas in a thoughtful way. If you have to take ENG121, take Prof. Weber.
I was nervous because this was my first English class. ENG002 is mostly grammar, so I understand the professor can only be so creative. However, he is very supportive and flexible. He makes you feel welcome in class and presents material in a clear way. My essays are getting much better and I think this class was great to get me ready for 111.
I'm not an English major, so I was really intimidated by this class. However, Prof. Weber made it interesting and relaxing. At the same time I know that my writing is better. I hadn't written an essay in years, but in this class I wrote four essays. Prof. Weber is fair and flexible. He can be tough on essay grades but he pushes you to be your best.
This class was really about grammar and writing, and professor Weber really made us feel respected and comfortable in class. He has high expectations, but is generous with grades if you work hard and show progress. I returned to college after many years, and thanks to Prof. Weber I can write with more confidence.
Mr. Weber is awesome. I have to take English 112 and I am waiting until I can take it with him. He isn't tough at all, very lenient. Barely gave homework, and if he did time was allotted to do so. I missed a part of my mid term and he let me do something in place to receive some of the credit. He is very funny and laid back as well.
Prof. Weber is one of the best professors I have had. I was so nervous going back to college. He has a great sense of humor, he has standards but is flexible, and he gives great feedback regarding writing skills. I feel very prepared for ENG 112. Thanks for a great semester Professor Weber!
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!! he leaves Good feed back but even if you change what he tells you to fix youll still fail.
Many online profs are not engaged in the online class, but Prof. Weber is accessible both in the online course and during his on-campus office hours. He is quick to respond to e-mails. He gives great feedback on essays, and accepts rough drafts to help you out ahead of time. Overall, he's a great instructor!
Awesome professor, gives a ton of feedback so that you can do better on any future essay. Fair grader and is very understanding and easy to work with. Best english professor I have had!
BEST PROFESSOR EVER. IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY LEARNING AND NOT HAVE ANY STRESS WHILE DOING SO, TAKE WEBERS CLASS. YOU'LL LEARN WHILE HAVING FUN!!
Taking English 112 with Professor Weber was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Taking online courses can become overwhelming, however Professor Weber made this course enjoyable. The course structure allows for clear understanding of what is required for all assignments.
He was always helpful . Let you send him your rough drafts as he critiqued them before the final. I loved his word of the day and little PowerPoint slide when he talked about the weather and did funny quizzes and all before the class . Extremely caring and down to earth , great guy
He didn't really lecture much in class, so a lot of the learning is on your own time. He's a hard grader on the essays, but he has opportunities for you to bring in your rough drafts, and he'll tell you what you need to change. Even after that, there's no guarantee for an A; in fact, it's almost impossible to get an A on an essay. Learned a lot.
Do not take this professor if you have a learning disability!! This professor barely honored my accommodations! His classes were boring and he rambled on and on and about nothing class related. I hardly knew what I was assigned to do. I asked him to look over my paper and he said it looked good, but ended up giving me a D on the paper!
My ENG111 with Prof. Weber was one of my best first-year college experiences. Yeah, he is a tough essay grader but I think my writing is getting much better. He is very approachable and answers e-mails quickly. He is kind to students, makes the class interesting, and is flexible. Would definitely take him for ENG 112.
Writing essays was my weakest area, but Prof. Weber gave me such detailed feedback so I could keep improving with each essay. He was very helpful and when you contact him via e-mail you can expect an almost immediate response. Thank you Prof. Weber for a great semester!
Definitely one of my favorite professors. He gives detailed feedback on essays which help a ton and he expects you to make changes. I am definitely becoming a better writer because of him. he does go off topic quite a bit but he is funny and gives you good advice along as you do the essays and show up and participate easy A
I have taken a lot of online courses due to my busy work schedule, but this was one of the best. This professor includes video and audio explanations of assignments. It is nice to be able to see and hear a professor in an online course. Prof. Weber gives helpful and inspiring feedback. He made me want to do my best work. Great class!
Weber was very kind and understanding but he would spend more time trying to be friends with the students that he would end up rambling on and on about something that wasnt class related. Showed up every day on time and did every piece of work with extra help of writing center and meeting with Weber and still received a low grade.
Prof. Weber gives students in his ENG 111 course so many opportunities to succeed. You can only get a low grade or fail if you don't try. He is supportive, flexible, and provides good feedback. Pretty tough essay grader, but that's his job. If you participate and make an effort, you will be rewarded. The best part is I'm a better writer.
Prof. Weber was very professional and always responded within the hour. His online class wasn't easy but I really did learn a lot and enjoyed being his student. Be prepared to read. If you don't understand something, ask him.
lienient grader, i turned in a few thigns late and never got points taken off. gives you EVERY took to pass.
Professor Weber was an extremely kind and patient professor. I honestly missed a lot of classes but still got an A. As long as you turn in things on time and put forth effort he won't let you sink.
One of the greatest teachers Ive had. Very straight forward in his way of teaching. Grading system is obvious and accurate and he was humorous as well. 10/10 would take again
Really enjoyed Prof. Weber's online course. I've never had a prof respond so quickly to e-mails. He provides detailed feedback on essays. His online course includes video & audio mini-lectures. I had to work hard to get my good grades, but my writing is better. Tip: take advantage of his offer to review drafts. This is what made the difference.
This professor provided us great opportunities for learning, with approachable assignments based on 2 novels, clear expectations, and a lot of encouragement through the difficulty of the Covid pandemic. I would not only take a class with him again, I would buy him a beer!
Great Proffesor. I would love to take his class again
Prof. Weber is a great professor, but also a tough grader. As someone who is a perfectionist it was difficult for me to accept the B's and C's I received on my papers, but I learned a lot from it. I wouldn't take his class again, but he's good for those who want a challenge.
English has always been my least favorite and most challenging class. I had Prof. Weber for both ENG 101 and 102 and he was great. Pretty much everything in this class is writing, there are a few major writing assignments/essays but he prepares you so well for them. I am so much more confident in my writing and definitely recommend taking his class
He's very clear about what he wants and always provide you an example. He's reasonable giving you a grade for you assignment. He's very kind teacher because I got COVID and he told me I could send a paper for the final a little bit late and he won't deduct any point for the lateness even I didn't ask for. The best and favorite professor ever!
There was a lot of writing in the class, but Professor Weber was always willing to help anyone who asked. The 10-page research paper was hard. Early in the semester, he told us it could be on anything. Then, when it came time to do it, he said it could be on anything that related to the novel Up From Slavery, which left very little choice.
I enjoyed P Weber's class but it was very difficult after coming back to school from a long hiatus. The papers take up a LOT of time to write, but he was always accessible to ask questions & def tries to help you succeed. He was a great professor for my first college experience & def recommend him, but I was left longing for more from the lectures.
I can't say this is the easiest class I ever took because I've struggled with writing. The one thing that stands out to me about Prof. Weber is that he's the most accessible professor I've ever had. He is willing to meet online seven days a week to give individual attention to my assignments. This was key for me. He is a tough, but fair grader.
Weber made me want to take more English classes! He references my favorite tv shows (like describing a relationship Odysseus had in The Odyssey akin to Troy and Abed from community). He had us read The Penelopiad instead of The Odyssey which I thought was an amazing choice and I loved every minute of that book and the rest of the assigned books.
I had taken Professor Weber's class because I need an ENG 101 credit to transfer to a four-year school. I have already taken high level english classes and have received excellent grades in those course. Professor Weber did not give good feedback even after I asked for help, it felt generic. He was also not good at giving assignment instructions.
Professor Weber is a very tough grader, to say the least. His feedback is also not very good on the written assignments you get back. I took his class online so maybe he is different in person.
Prof. Weber responds to emails fast and meets virtually any day of the week if you can't make his office hours. He gives specific feedback on essays and tells you exactly what you need to improve your writing and be successful. Meeting with him is important. Even though I didn't get an A, I definitely feel better about myself as a writer.
I'm not an English major, but Prof. Weber made this class interesting and enjoyable. I'm not a big reader, but I did like the way he took the class through the book and reviewed key sections. He also tells you exactly what you need to do to improve your writing, and now I feel better about writing papers in other courses.
Looking back on this class, one thing I learned is attending the essay conferences is the best way to improve your writing and earn a high grade. I went to all of the research paper workshops, and each time Prof. Weber reviewed my drafts and told me exactly what I needed to do. These meetings made me a more confident writer. Thanks Prof. Weber!
I'm not an English major, so this class because was a requirement. Prof. Weber made the class interesting. He has a good sense of humor and is flexible. He also met with me a few times outside of class to help me with my papers. I recommend this class to anyone who wants a professor who truly enjoys teaching and wants his students to succeed.
Prof. Weber is a caring and dedicated teacher who made us all feel welcome. I enjoyed his stories and sense of humor, and also liked that went out of his way to meet with students after class or outside of class. He taught me how to overcome my fear of writing essays. This was a great class and I'd definitely take one of his classes again.
I was very nervous when I came to this country and had trouble with the language. Professor Weber was the perfect instructor for me. He was very kind and welcoming. I had no belief in my ability but he made me think I could do anything if I put my mind to it. Thank you sir for a great semester and for all your help!
I never liked an English class before taking Prof. Weber's course. It's not my major, so it was great that Mr. Weber made the class engaging and sometimes fun. He made everyone feel like they were welcome and valued. I think the office meetings with him really made a difference in my writing and my grade.
He is a fantastic teacher I literally had a D towards the end of the semester and he helped me on my final paper which resulted in me passing the class with an A. he also gives A LOT of extra credit if you attend class cause he only does it in person.
I had Professor Weber for ENG 101 and 102! I made sure I retook his class because he is so amazing! It's been over ten years since I've been to school, so I was nervous. He gave me the confidence to get back out there. He inspires you; he's caring and, overall, a fantastic professor.
One of the best profs I've ever had. I took his class online, but he held optional drop-in Zoom meetings for anyone who wanted to ask questions. He answers emails quickly, even on weekends. I also like that he reviews rough drafts ahead of time. The essays were not easy, but I worked hard and reviewed his rough draft feedback. Great class overall!
Don't waste your money, time, effort and energy on this course. This professor is an unfair grader. Going to the writing center or speaking with him will not help you. Most students receive "C" average. If you care about your money and grades... choose another professor.
As a full-time student who also works, I really needed a professor who went out of his way to help. Prof. Weber met me outside of class and on Zoom to review my drafts. He's not the easiest grader, but looking back he wanted to help me reach my potential. In the end if you do the work, the grade takes care of itself. Thanks Prof. Weber!
Take his class!! he takes his time to give really good feedbacks, he also has a very soothing voice lol.
This dude was amazing. He really cared about the students, and honestly left no room to fail. He is funny and makes good jokes during his lectures. I admit, that the final research paper wasn't easy, but he made it easier. For half the class, we didn't even meet, since he gave us more than enough time to do our paper. Class was mandatory for a whil
I was super nervous about taking ENG101 again because I didn't have good experiences in the past, but Prof. Weber was amazing. If you complete the work and actually look at his feedback on papers you will pass. I really liked the student-professor conferences in the last couple weeks of the semester because all the attention was put on my paper.
I went back to college later in life and never would have made it without this professor's wisdom and encouragement. Every time I wanted to quit or didn't believe in myself, Prof. Weber let me know I could do it. I'm not saying the papers were easy, but he made sure I stuck with it until the end.
This was my last AACC class to be able to graduate. I attempted ENG102 twice prior to taking Professor Weber's class. I withdrew both times because the workload was too heavy and stressful. I wish I had taken his class the first time. The classwork was focused on essays which was a huge weight off my shoulders. I cannot recommend him enough.
Professor Weber explains difficult content thoroughly and provides a clear rubric for his expectations for assignments. He also provides a bunch of resources to assist with writing assignments and gives detailed and helpful feedback. However, he takes forever to grade assignments.
I had a good experience in this class keeping in mind I'm not an English major and not the greatest writer. Prof. Weber responded to emails and was available on Zoom seven days a week. As a student who works and goes to school, I appreciated this connection. Also, he actually gives helpful and specific comments on essays.
If you're a first-year student take Prof. Weber's class. He gives model essay examples to show you exactly how to organize a paper. He's very easy going and friendly and supportive. You basically write four papers including a research paper. He has a good sense of humor and enjoys teaching which makes the experience better for everyone. Good class!
Professor Weber is such a great teacher. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. He is personable and understanding. I had this class along with Math and he was very understanding of my workload. If you have the option to take his class, do it!
Overall a "good" professor, but in my opinion a tough grader. He does give feed back and opportunities to rewrite your essay for a better grade, but I did the 6 week course and didn't find it gave enough time for that without falling behind. I also would like to note it does take him a little to grade your essay's/work. Overall, I would recommend.
I had Professor Weber in my first semester of college and he was really great! I found my writing improved tremendously with his fine-tuned feedback and he's very funny, keeping you entertained in class, though he does go off on tangents sometimes. I would recommend him to anyone, especially if you're pursuing English as a degree!
