Brother Mead is a great online teacher. He leaves comments on almost every single assignment and responds back extremely quickly. The class was packed into the 7 week break so there was quite a bit to do, but the easiest religion (and funnest!) I've ever taken. TAKE IT!

The class itself is not too complicated. Bro. Mead gives clear expectations, is available if you need him, grades papers timely, and has nice little additional inspirational things to post weekly. I highly recommend Bro. Mead. If you show up, and put a little effort into completing the assignments, you'll do well!

Not a bad class. A lot of reading, typical religion class; read write share discus reflect. Assignments are the same each week just with a different article of faith. Great way to grow your testimony of the restoration of the Gospel.

Great class for any type of student. Not a ton of work and is an easy A as long as you participate, but I also learned a lot and enjoyed the class. I love how the class is structured. Brother Mead was a great teacher. Would take this class again.

Brother Mead is an amazing online professor. Typically, you never hear from your online professors, but he provided feedback frequently and inspired me to learn as much as possible. He truly shows how much he cares about his students. Always offering extra help and going above and beyond to show you how much he cares about the topic, as well.

Great online teacher. First few weeks there is a good amount of homework, but after that there is once a week posting in a group plus comments, an almost 600 word reflection, a small participation quiz and that is about it. Really personable and tries to post comments specific for you. Wants to get to know you. Recommended and will take again.

Brother Mead is a great instructor and cares very much about his students learning to live Christ-centered lives. I would recommend him to anyone wondering which section to take.

Standard Religion class, read, apply, report. Not as interesting as I had hoped for the Articles of Faith. 7 Week course makes things a little frantic, but not unmanageable. Professor is good, gives feedback even if a little generic

I liked him a lot for my religion class but beware, there are a lot of assignments. Two tests, a paper, and lots of reading each week at a minimum. He really does have great lectures and is passionate about the gospel, though. If you want a really in-depth class and don't mind the workload, go with him for sure. He cares about his students a lot.

There is a lot of writing papers, although the class is super easy to pass. Just do a bit of research into the assignment and then write about it. Definitely would recommend it again for this class. Great professor, he will give you bonus credit as well!

If you want to understand the LGBTQ+ community better, please take him. He has background working for the church and explains things in the most amazing ways. He was really caring and explained everything very clearly and doctrinally based.

My man Mead's background of working in departments in the Church means he has great insight into what Church leaders actually think.

Definitely my favorite religion professor! He really cares about all of his students and it shows in the way he organizes the class and lectures. He covers difficult topics in a respectful manner and gets to know his students. He wants everyone to succeed in his class and is very understanding when life things come up.

I loved this professor! He made class fun while also teaching us all the things we needed to know. He seemed to really care about his students. either. There was a decent amount of reading to do, but I took it in the summer, so there would probably be less in a slower-paced semester. Would definitely take a class from him again!

His class lectures are amazing very insightful and was very knowledgeable! The readings, final project, and weekly analysis projects sometimes take a bit of time, yet if you study hard for tests you'll be fine. Be sure to do all the extra credit that he gives out and do the final project as soon as possible.

Brother Mead is an incredible professor. If you're taking Eternal Families, take it from him. Brother Mead teaches church doctrine as it stands now, not 50 years ago. He encourages discussion and wants his students to know how to seek answers and inspiration. He isn't afraid of having difficult discussions. This class is a testimony builder.

Professor Mead is amazing. He is so kind, caring, and inspirational. I took this class summer term, and there was a lot of reading assigned. That being said, his expectations and grading criteria are clear. If your looking for amazing spiritual discussions and uplift, this is the class to take! Attending this class was the highlight of my day!

Brother Mead is incredible. He's caring for the students and presents the topics in a way that promotes faith while not discounting those with questions. Provides ample time for in class discussion and will always take time to answer questions and listen to thoughts. Spectacular teacher and human being.

If you are interested in family and marriage, I highly recommend this class from Mead. He is super knowledgable about the church and its views. There are pre-lecture readings with a quiz online. The readings are normally talks or devotional and are pretty easy. There also are analysis essay at the end of week, 30 mins max.

Professor Mead is a great teacher. You can tell that he really cares about people and is very understanding of people's different difficult circumstances. The stuff that he has to teach can sometimes be sensitive subjects but he does a great job of teaching them.

Loved this class about Eternal Families. There is 1 assignment each week plus 2 easy reading quizzes. Plus a midterm and final that he curves. Mead is caring and smart.

Brian Mead was a great professor. Taught difficult church concepts well and was open for questions that he either answered or was willing to answer after class. The majority of your grade is based on weekly check-ins. His tests are pretty easy and are all online. Finished with over 100% in the class.

Prof. Mead was AMAZING. He was incredibly kind and really seemed to care about his students. He was able to explain hard and complicated gospel topics in a simple and respectful way. I learned SO MUCH from this class, and I want to take it again when I am married. Mead is an amazing professor, and knows his stuff about families and the gospel.

I am currently writing this as I am still in his class. He is amazing. He cares so much about his students. He wants to know you individually. He is such a good teacher. He goes over a review of the week every lecture which is very helpful for test. His assignments are very very easy.

Rarely do I have a class where I never look at the clock. Prof Mead was the exception. His lectures are awesome you can tell that he has a deep passion for what he does and the content that he teaches. He is extremely fair with grading. But come to class!! A lot of the things he emphasis are only found in class lectures.

Brother Mead is so great. He makes an effort to learn each students name and get to know them personally. I took Foundations of the Restoration my first semester at BYU and I loved it. I signed up for Eternal Families with him almost a year later and he remembered small details about me that I don't even remember telling him. He truly cares.

I had Brother Mead for Foundations of the Restoration and absolutely loved him. Did a great job explaining all of the sensitive topics in Church history, and was extremely welcoming of all students and opinions. He also did a great job in encouraging us to ask questions about the material/gospel. Great job in grading as well. LGBT+ friendly as well

Bro Mead has been my favorite religion teacher that I have had. His lectures were always uplifting and interesting. He took time to listen to and respond to questions. His tests were very reasonable and quite easy. It was easy to see that he cared about his students and wanted them to not only be successful in his class, but learn life lessons too.

Professor Mead is amazing!! I loved taking a class from him and signed up for another class with him! His lectures are amazing and you'll really learn a lot and feel the spirit. The readings are required for class, but it's not hard at all. He also lets you use notes on all of the quizzes! I would recommend everybody to take a course from him!

Brother Mead is a stud. He's a fantastic teacher and teaches the more sensitive subjects very well and with respect. I had no issues with him. He taught clearly, I felt the Spirit, and I didn't feel like this class was a huge burden. He knows a two credit hour religion class shouldn't be causing you any stress and he makes that clear.

Brother Mead is by far my favorite religion professor I have had at BYU. I left his class every day so grateful I had attended. I was honestly hesitant to take this class, but he totally changed my perspective. His class was fairly easy and if you do the weekly reflections and participate you are very likely to get an A.

Very good professor, the class setup and discussion is exactly what you want out of a REL course. However, and this may just be a personal preference, almost every 5 min, during every lecture, he has you discuss what he's lecturing about with the people next to you. Which is fine, just felt like a waste of time to me, but great if you're into it.

He's good at teaching some of the more controversial topics. Attendance is graded, but self-reported. Post-class assignments that take 5-10 minutes, and an end-of-week assignment that takes about 30 minutes. End of semester project. For finals, it's a multiple choice question test or case-study option. Easy class, just didn't click w/ him.

I cannot say enough great things about Professor Mead. If you are struggling with your testimony, THIS IS THE CLASS TO TAKE! Professor Mead is not afraid to tackle church history topics. He is so caring and strives to create a relationship with each student. If you are looking to take 225, take it from him!!

TAKE RELIGION WITH BRIAN MEAD!!! He is seriously one of the best professors I have ever had. His lessons are so interesting and he cares so much about his students. Every lecture is always so entertaining and its an easy A. I would take him again and again.

He is such a great professor. He was very understanding and caring of the students. He talks about the family and views it from all sides which is very good. His lectures are very entertaining and the workload is pretty light. Take his class you won't regret it.

Eternal Family is a very easy A. It is structured in a way that, although you should go to class, you don't need to. The tests are very easy and there are not many assignments. There is one easy assignment due after each class that takes 5-10 minutes and a weekly assignment that takes 10-20 minutes. Professor Mead is super caring and understanding.

There is a lot of reading for this class, but it is so worth it! Brother Mead is absolutely amazing at explaining hard topics and helping students reach their full potential! I would definitely take this class again! There are two tests that took me 8 hours to complete and a couple projects. Other than that, it is attendance and reading!

Brian Mead's Eternal Families class is phenomenal. He's always cheerful and dynamic in lectures, also super reasonable and understanding when it comes to grades. His priority is certainly to teach an uplifting religion class at BYU, and he excels at it. Tests and assignments are very reasonable, and you just have to show up to get an A.

I love the feeling and atmosphere in Brother Mead's class. I feel respected no matter what opinion or questions I have. I was upset with his TAs though, because they would never explain why when they docked points here and there, and it wasn't clear.

Professor Mead is an incredible teacher who is really good at addressing doctrinal issues. He is very fair about his grading and the class's difficulty level is perfect for a 2 credit hour religion class. Would highly reccomend.

I enjoyed this class. Brother Mead is a professor who doesn't care much about memorizing small details but just wants you to understand the doctrine. Reading assignments twice a week which you can get done in less than 30 minutes listening to them using speechify. 2 projects the entire semester, interviewing couples and a final project. He loves meeting with his students and is passionate. Very amazing professor, take him if you can!

I cannot say enough good things about this class and about Brother Mead! The class content is great and is definitely in my top classes I've taken at BYU. You get what you put in for sure, but this class makes it easy to care. Brother Mead is super caring, very flexible, and you can tell he genuinely wants you to succeed! Take this class!!

Super awesome lectures and class, with some reading- might seem like a lot to others, but I just would read it on the way to class or on a Sunday and I was fine. Overall, great class. Favorite professor at BYU. There was readings before class that were easy if you listen at 2x speed. He remembered a lot about students personal lives - my wife and I took Eternal Families together and he got to know us really well. I learned a lot this class about the church and how to raise a better family. One of the easiest and best classes!

He give great lectures and makes every topic engaging. Readings for homework can be kind of long, but if you go to class and do the homework, you'll get an A.

He talks to a lot of his student which is nice, but somehow it's also kind of hard to actually talk to him... I don't know how both of those things are possible, but that's what I've found. There is a lot of talking to your neighbor. Good class, fairly chill and doesn't stick out as being super memorable (good or bad) compared to my other classes.

The lectures are amazing and super clear. Cares about students. He is super fair and understanding. Easy grader, just do the assignments and you will be fine. You have the option of writing short essays or a multiple-choice exam for the midterm and final. I did the essays and it was easy. All in all an easy class but I feel like I learned a lot.

Great class! Brother Mead cares about each student and wants us to succeed. The class is set up where we do have a lot of reading, but the tests are relatively easy if you go to class and he gives lots of extra credit. I learned a lot from his class and recommend him as a professor that isn't difficult, yet you still learn from.

He allows you to write short essays throughout the semester instead of taking the midterm and final and it's so worth it. He is not a harsh grader and really his intent is to help you.

I cannot recommend taking eternal families from him more. He is very understanding of the situations of the students and makes learning as early as possible. Have a super simple quiz at the end of each class, but most of the content is common sense if you read the reading. The reading before each class only took about 15 to 30 minutes.

He makes sure his expectations are clear and even gives suggestions of how much time you should spend on each homework assignment (it's not a lot). Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you go to every class you'll get an A, a stronger testimony, and some laughs! He goes out of his way to make life as easy as possible for his students.

Readings before every class, one assignment due every saturday, and three big assignments during the semester. Professor Mead is one of my favorite professors ever.

There were quizzes every day after class, but if you did the reading you did well on them. There are also a few big projects, but all of them were fun and testimony-strengthening.

Such an awesome professor. There are a reasonable amount of readings and daily quizzes. This semester you could use your average quiz score instead of taking the final exam which I thought was awesome as the quizzes were really easy if you attended and paid attention in class. I highly recommend taking this class from him.

This class was probably the easiest religion class I've taken at BYU. If you want an easy A, take this class from this professor. Attendance is not required, but I'd recommend going to get 100% on your daily quiz. You can substitute your average daily quiz grade or take the final. No midterm. Not the most inspiring lectures, but easy.

Right now, I don't think that you can beat Professor Mead for RELC200. He is an engaging lecturer and he clearly strives to be sensitive to a diverse range of important issues. The class is also one of the most organized classes I have taken, his straightforward class expectations removed any stress for me. His assigned projects were awesome.

Quizzes after every lecture, very easy if you attended the lecture, hard if you skipped. At the end of this class the combined scores of all these quizzes counted for our final which was super nice. You could also opt to take a real final if your quiz scores were not good

Prof Mead has super interesting lectures that you don't need to take notes on which is amazing. The class was so so easy and unstressful, assignments felt applicable to real life usually. Just stay on top of the post-class quiz and get everything done and it's an easy A

Brother Mead was very good about adding his thoughts to the discussion boards. Excellent communication and posts great weekly announcements. He wants you to succeed and posts contact information with every announcement so that you know you could reach out to him with questions or if an emergency arises. Great class!

There's always mandatory reading before class, and a post-class quiz with a password you get in class, so you have to be in lecture. You'll want to be there anyway tho bc he's amazing. 11/10

Brother Mead is great- he approaches tough church topics with love and care. This class was pretty easy- show up, take the quizzes, do the weekly assignments and you'll be good. You can even opt-out of the final exam if you've come to class throughout the semester which is huge!

Simply a great class and great professor. Approached a variety of topics with love and understanding, and did an incredible job of covering the surface level of EVERYTHING when it comes to the eternal family. I'd easily recommend to anybody considering :)

Dr. Mead is cool and does a good job with the content. This class, however, is super obvious, and I can honestly say I learned nothing. I expected eternal families from a psychology PhD to include more studies and psychology instead of the same lines from the Family Proclamation. Class is super easy though.

Loved Prof. Mead. He was super kind, he has really interesting lectures and slides, and he was caring. He always started off class with friendly discussions and was really funny. I didn't learn a ton in his class because some things were obvious... but there were some little things I learned and loved learning about. I'd definitely take him again!

Good teacher overall. Personality can be a bit much at times, but he is genuine. If your attendance quizzes are good enough you dont take the final so thumbs up from me. Also the class is large so its not personal which I liked.

I used to hate reading student reviews that said "best class/professor I've ever had", but now I get it. Professor Mead is hilarious, kind, and intelligent. His pre-class readings about the eternal family changed my life. Class is structured to be easy enough to actually learn and feel the Spirit instead of stress about grades.

Mead is a good guy. The class has no midterm and final if you do your homework. You have two reading homework assignments each week that are self graded. Each class he gives out a participation code for you to get credit of your participation and a quiz of what you learned. Each week you have to do a 4-6 paragraph fake scenario short essay. Not bad

Super interesting readings, and a very relatable professor! He really makes an effort to connect and care for his classes. Few and simple assignments, which really let you focus on learning and growing! When I took, you could sub avg quiz grade for the final, which was clutch

Brother Mead is the best! He makes class very enjoyable. It was probably the least stressful religion class I have ever taken. I took his class summer term, and it is extremely manageable, even in the shortened term. He genuinely cares for all his students and is extremely Christlike.

I loved Dr. Mead's class! The class was light-hearted, despite some of the tricky topics. He always did a great job at approaching things with a loving, eternal perspective. I had this class at 8am and looked forward to going to lectures. Assignments were super easy. No final exam if you do all the quizzes! I heavily recommend Dr. Mead for RELC200.

Professor Mead's class was low stress and I loved it. Each class is the same format: presentation/lecture, so it is predictable. There is an attendance check every day, so you do have to go to class. Homework is very easy. He has spiritually motivating/well-thought ideas. He is a very kind person and strives to build friendships with his students.

I loved my eternal family class with Brother Mead! I felt inspired every day in his class and feel like I am much more prepared for my future family and can make better decisions in my everyday life. He had 3 midterms and a final that were all the same amount of your grade and very reasonable. I highly recommend taking a class from him!

Every week we had an attendance quiz where we had to write about the family proclamation, we did this twice a week with 5 written questions and two multiple choice. Then on top this, we had a case study ranging in 3-7 short essay questions. All while doing weekly readings. Homework remained the same during midterms, essays, and 3 large projects.

Loved this class. Brian Mead is the perfect teacher for the job. He has great energy, very bubbly, and knows this is a beginner class. If you're a member, all of this stuff is pretty common knowledge. Unlike BOM class. No tests, no final, just some papers and fun projects.

I took his class this semester, and it was great! The way he teaches the eternal family class is good, and there is not a lot of work outside the class. He just has you do an attendance assignment, a case study, and 3 bigger projects each semester.

Took Eternal Family over Summer. Brother Mead is great. He's a little quirky and sometimes he'll tease students, but great guy, easy class. Ended up having a transformative experience in the class just because I put in the work and did the assignments. Grateful I took this class from him.

Do you want an easy A in a religion course? This is the class for you. Do you want to delve deep into the family and prepare to have one yourself? This is not the class for you.

Professor Mead is very kind, and he's good at teaching Eternal Families. This class is remarkably easy, which might not be for everyone, but it can be good for those who are stressed. The projects are really engaging and you can learn a lot from it. Professor Mead is also happy to meet up with people outside of class to answer deeper questions.

This was one of the easiest religion classes I've taken at BYU. He seriously wants everyone to get an A in his class. There are attendance quizzes, 3 projects, and then 2 midterms plus the final. Make sure that you don't put off doing the projects because they can be very time consuming. Great class overall!

He is super funny, and teaches so well. He makes sure that everyone can get an A and the workload is very light. We a 5 question post assignment after class every period and I small essay due at the end of every week. Tests were pretty simple and definitely don't need to study ever.

Phenomenal! This class was the perfect mix of spiritually strengthening and challenging. I believe Religion classes are meant to spiritually strengthen students while not adding to the college stress or workload excessively. This class perfectly met my expectations. Professor Mead gave such good lectures and was such a good Disciple of Christ.

Im not big on byu religion classes, but I wish I could say enough good about the guy and his class. You WILL get an A don't worry. When he says the average score for his tests is a 100% he's not joking. Show up for the attendance code, or know someone and you will be fine. No homework, and class time can be used to study for his class or others.

He is an AMAZING professor. All you need to do is show up and turn your assignments in on time and you will get an A. The grading is not harsh at all. Tests are at home not proctored. Could not recommend the class enough.

He's a great professor and guy. The class is not difficult, but it requires a substantial amount of work for a religion class. Easy to get an A and the lectures are very spirit-filled.

He is the best. I would definitley take another class for him. It is one of the lighter and easier religion classes I have taken. It is doable and a fair amount of work. He handled difficult topics pretty well.

Super easy A, just do the work. The median grade for the class on all of the exams was 100%. Just go to class and do the work, and you will do great. Lecture is mostly entertaining and is a good way to start the day.

Lectures were really engaging and the class was really easy. If you do all the work, you're chilling. He's a really good teacher who cares about his students' success.
