Palagallo was one of my favorite professors at AVC. He actually helped and made the papers and class work fun by putting us in groups. He kept the class interested the whole time.

I loved taking this english class he was so helpful and the class was fun english isn't easy for me but he made me want to write my papers and made them fun and easy to do. Take his english class you'll love this class

Mr. Palagallo is one of the best teachers at AVC! His lectures were fun, creative, and often humorous! He explains the material well and gives a broader perspective on the topic discussed. He is an easy grader. (HINT) Do the assignments, get the key points, and try your best. He is very understanding of life outside of school. He is great!

Professor Palagallo was the easiest professor I have ever taken at AVC. I took another teacher before him and I dropped out with a W because the teacher was really hard, but he made the class enjoyable despite the fact it was a 7-10 class twice a week. he is really chill and funny if you need an english course try to take him you wont regret it.

It was a fun class to take, he was very helpful. You can turn in assignments late but might have some point deduction. There was about 2 written exams and 5 typed essays, two of which were very easy and simple to do.

Palagallo is one of the dopest teacher I've taken at AVC. He has a really laid back way of teaching and everything is comprehensible. The textbook isn't used often--only when we read poems or write typed essays--but other than that it's not crucial. He's very kind hearted and open to various perspectives of topics being discussed. Take his class!

Hes the absolute greatest! His stories about his daughter always crack me up, Hes a funny guy and makes learning fun!! you will learn and he grades fairly.

Mr. Palagallo is very entertaining and makes you feel comfortable. Attend every class if you want to do your best. After the strict English teacher I took before him, his class was a breeze. I wish I could re-take his class again. I regret that I did not try my hardest in his class and still earned a B. There is a definite chance of earning an A.

Mr. Palagallo was very down to earth and he never gave long essay. He did go by the syllabus and we wrote our essay based on what he wanted. Was not hard at all but required some critical thinking. If you have fear of eng 101 or doubt yourself take him. None of the pressures is there like other english teachers. He goes above and beyond for you.

This is not your typical English 101 class. We didn't have to buy any books, we didn't even have to read any books. I took an honors option for this class and only had to do a few extra things that were not difficult. If you can you need to take him, this was the best professor I have ever had!

I took professor palagallo for eng 99, 101, and now 102. He is the best English professor anyone can ask for he will always help you, as many times as you ask. He shows videos reads books to give you inspiration to write and picks really cool topics. His cool and easy and as long as you do the essay's you will pass.

Professor Palagallo was a great teacher to have. He definitely cares more about your personal learning experience rather than what grades say you have learned. The topics he discusses with the classes are interesting and even trippy at times. Really, the best way to succeed in his class is to do your reading responses and participate in discussions

He is AWESOME, I'm in 99 and I will take all remaining course with him, he is helpful and makes the class laid back, interesting, and it is not hard to learn from him, he lets you be you not really strict which is good because he respects you as a student and not all head strong like some professors. He's an amazing professor and I would totally take him again. Actually, I'm taking him for English 101 for summer. He and I play battlefield on Xbox one so by that you can tell that he's the most chillest professor. He is hilarious and is worth it. You won't regret it!

Brian is an EXCELLENT English teacher1 I wish all my teachers were as chill as he is. No stress and is very thorough and easy to understand. He will help you pass. If you don't pass then that means you did absolutely nothing! I took him for Eng099 and I wish I was taking him for Eng 101. And he is very easy on the eyes ladies. ;)

I highly recommend Professor Palagallo. We need more Professor's like him. He gave me so much confidence by encouraging me in a nice way about things I needed to watch out for. He often pointed out the good parts in my essay insteaf of focusing on what I did wrong. Take him you wont regret it. He gave us some group activities so that we succeeded.

Easy A

I took Mr Palagallo for english 97 and english 99 and i plan to take him for english 101 and 102. He is AMAZING!!!! He is very helpful and kind, it is impossible to not pass his class if you dont pass than that means you either didnt try or somethings wrong with you. Take him you wont regret it! He is truly inspirational.

He bring the best out of you, very supported , and he will encourage you to challenge yourself in the most amazing way possible. He is always there if you ask for help and reply to your email as fast as he could. He is very Flexible when it come to turning in work and he is also very understanding.

i have taken brian for 97 now 99 and i will also take him for 101 such a great instructor you wont regret taking him, you take 3 in class essays which are called green book exams you do an outline in class the day before the exam, then you have 3 assigned essays for hw.

Look, Brian is one of the best professor's I have had since being at AVC. I took him for both English 099 and 101 and I enjoyed it very much. He's easy to talk to and he loves video games! I've played star wars battlefront and he's just really chill and very lenient. If you ARE new, check him out and his work isn't so hard. No exam and no HW.

So here's the deal. Brian is the most down to earth guy I have ever had for a teacher . I'm 50 years old and just going back to school. I was never a fan of English classes. He has totally transformed my thoughts on writing!! No wonder his classes are the first to fill up and be closed! Amazing guy. You wont be disappointed.

I recently took this professor in the summer of 2017, I loved his class. Professor Palagallo made it easy to understand, he is very passionate about his students and want them to pass. Not a lot of test only had three essays maybe two? the final was someone presenting what they learned in class and then the class interact with them.

I admit, I'm writing this review about 2 or 3 semesters late... BUT Prof. P is THE BEST! If you have a SINGLE brain cell you can pass his class. From what I remember, it was about 2 or 3 EASY MLA papers, and 1 or 2 tests on MLA. He's a very caring, and chill dude. He loves StarWars and wears nerdy video game shirts so you can picture what fun he is

Professor Brian is hands down the best. I'm not a fan of writing essays but he made me into an amazing writer. Extremely helpful. Will never turn down helping a student. 3 papers, and some lectures. A good dude with good intentions. His class is pretty easy, almost too easy, but better than too hard. Little to no notes and little homework. Good choice for English 101

Our main project was a group project, and I think Brian handles it very well. All of the normal pitfalls of a group project were not that noticeable in this class, in fact most groups worked really well together and got to know each other better through the year. He assigns a few essays and always offers good feedback

He is an awesome professor. If for some reason you can not make it to class, he is very understanding. Material is very easy to follow, and makes it rather interesting. Definitely enjoyed his course, would recommend.

This was my first year back in college, I was afraid to take a English class, but he was super cool even though it was an online class, he was helpful and responds quick to emails. As long as you do the assignments and discussions, you should pass and the book was cool too. I hated English and he made me enjoy it, highly recommend this teacher.

Professor Palagallo is such a fun guy. He makes the semester fun and always listens to his students. Grading is easy, if you do the work he'll at least give you a C. Have fun in his class; if you let loose and just "go with the flow" you'll do well and have a great time. He's also very understanding so communicate with him if something's up :)

Professor P is the BEST!!! Totally recommend taking English 101 and 102 with him. He's so understanding and really tries to work with you. Great with emailing back. Also very caring and tries to help and explain to you if you don't understand whatever the topic is! THE BEST TEACHER IVE EVER HAD.

Professor P was one of the greatest English teachers I had. Made the class accomdating by having the course held in, in person blended (BLE). Took him during the summer. Gave two essays as well as a midterm and final. Don't stress about the midterm and final. Makes them fun and interesting. Great professor would definitely take again.

I had him for an 8 week course, my experience might differ from 16 week students. There's A LOT of talking and only 100 points to collect, but he's not a harsh grader at all. Overall he's a super nice guy, makes an easy A, and it's a great class if you just need the credit. English majors might want to consider someone more difficult.

I love this guy. He made lectures interesting and the assignments were never boring. I feel that he did his best to incorporate the core concepts of this course in engaging ways that also pushed you to improve your writing. Super chill, if he's available then do yourself a favor and take his class.

Prof Palagallo is great for F2F, he is very personable. He's not hard on you and gives wiggle room for late work. Hes the kind of professor that you just have to communicate with. He is defintely for the student and just wants everyone to pass, with their best work.

Profess Palagallo made a STEM major actually enjoy an English course. He makes active learning fun, and he has great discussions with classmates during class time. Ask him to check your thesis if you want to guarantee an "A" looking type of thesis; it also makes it easier to write your essays. I took him in the summer and he was an easy A!

Professor Palagallo is a very kind, helpful, and amazing teacher! Very simple yet informative course! I highly recommend him! There were a total of 3 papers all relatively easy, you can check your paper with him prior to submission. The course also included a mid-term and final (very easy!), and a minimal amount of small assignments.

The best professor ever at AVC. Relatable, but not cringey. Go out of your way to take his class, it's THAT good. Assignments a bit hard to understand at times, but it doesn't matter cause you got the whole semester to do it. The only way to not get an A is if you don't turn in work. I could write an essay about how great this professor is. 100/10.

I received a B+ in this class there was a midterm , a short finale & discussion amongst the students and teacher. I recommend taking him for people that struggle with English like I do. I took English 101 with the professor

Professor Palagallo is great! At no point in his class will he make you feel confused. He was very understanding; he gave good feedback when helping students with assignments. Your canvas/ module will be very organized and clear for any student to understand. You can't fail unless you're not engaging at all. Palagallo's way of teaching is amazing.

Hands down coolest professor here. He really makes you feel important and that your thoughts matter and deserved to be shared. He never shuts anyone down and will never make you feel embarrassed. If you thrive through interactive and active engagement this is the class for you. ADHD friendly and fun in my opinion. Some deadlines are strict but for the most part, Mr. Palagallo is down-to-earth and reasonable. Mr. Palagallo is patient and he does not over police writing voices.

As a first-time college student, I was very scared to start college. Mr. Brian was such a cool teacher. He easily understood and considered everyone's needs, making everyone feel included. His workload was super light too and he always gave amazing feedback. Definitely recommend taking one of his classes.

Professor P makes English genuinely enjoyable, even for STEM majors. His classes are interactive and engaging, with helpful feedback on writing assignments. unstuck ai proved useful for reviewing course concepts. An easy A with a great professor.

Great guy really chill tries his best to make his class as non-stressful as possible. He's very understanding and down to earth, just the kindest soul around. He understands the student experience and how difficult it can be, and he genuinely tries to take a bit of that weight off. Awesome dude.
