His lectures can be a bit boring, but other than that awesome prof! Gives a test after every chapter because he knows that most people aren't interested in history and he wants everyone to do well. If you can't handle a test a week, don't take him.

I took him for AMH2010, AMH2020 and LAH1005... He was one of the best professors I have ever had in my undergraduate studies. He is very thourough. Study the notes and listen to his lecture and you'll do absolutely fine. I was one of His college acamdey students.

He is a great guy. He is very into what he teaches and he has fun doing it. He does talk a lot, but if you do the vocab and take good notes and study well, there shouldnt be a problem. He does test after every chapter, but the final is REALLY easy! he gives the answers away on review day!

His class used to make me pull out my hair until I learned the secret to success...READ THE BOOK. He teaches straight from the book (even his jokes come form the book). Once I learned to read the book I didn't even have to pay attention in class. BTW, DO THE ESSAYS!! they seem like a waste of time but they will really boost your grade.

Mr. Pietrzak is awesome! The best American History teacher I have had. I never use my book to study..which is good. As long as u take good notes, the class is easy.

Tells weird jokes; however, give you an extensive final review. If you don't study, you will not pass. Buy the study guide since it is a real big help.

I don't really know if I dislike him or not.. but his class was very interesting. I think he is funny (usually). He shares his opinions a *bit* too much and is not very fond of George Bush (Or Republicans). I found that his tests come STRAIGHT from the notes and not at all from the book. Get an A by taking good notes. PS: Movies = SLEEP

LOVE THE MAN! Very funny. Tests straight from notes. I've seen 500-word papers get an F and 1-paragraph get an A. Just answer the question. DONT BE LATE EVER! And stay on his good side. Very opinionated but you have to love him for it. I learned alot & would take the class again in a heart beat.

& EDU I took him for 2 classes he keeps your att b/c u have no choice but 2 write everything he says. However, everything he says is on the test. He reads straight from it. Don't need text unless he talks to fast. Both classes were an A but you have to write notes & show up ON TIME. I wish he taught more classes!!!!!!!!!

Very nice professor. Extremely knowledgable...even corrected the book a few times. :) It's nice to have a professor who is unbias towards discussions of this country and how it was founded.

Awesome, awesome teacher...love him! This man is a sweetheart! Really all you have to do is show up to class, pay attention to the lectures and take good notes to study from. Definitely take his classes...he's funny and smart. And it certaintly doesn't hurt that he's cute.

Great Teacher to talk with out of class, however tests can be on many trivial subjects. His classes is great if you like a structured test schedule (about one a week). I felt that the weight he placed of his final project was a little much, but overall it was a great class.

Worst professor ever!!! If you're looking to get an A in this, let me tell you now it's IMPOSSIBLE. I work so hard in this class. I take notes in class, listen to the stupid lectures, read the chapter 3 times before the test, outline the entire chapter, and ace the tests online. And what do I end up with? a C+ or a B-. His tests are the WORST!!

This guy is pretty good. He really knows his stuff, and you can tell he loves history and gets into it. You can't just rely on his lectures, you have to read the book. Also, if you can, GO TO HIS REVIEWS! He has them the mornings of test days, these help sososo much. The tests are pretty hard if you don't.

One of the best history teachers I have ever had. I LOATHE history in general, but this class was pretty interesting. The only graded work is tests and an essay at the end, so make sure to use the textbook. Bring the textbook to class, and highlight where he reads, because there's a good chance it will be on the test. Go to reviews, and study hard.

Mr. P is hilarious! my all time favorite professor. He made going to class enjoyable. His jokes are great & he's a very nice man. He will help you out if you communicate with him & ask questions. It is basically impossible to fail Mr p's class. he likes what he teaches and loves to talk. the tests were right from the book and I always took notes. take notes, study and pay attention. it is not hard to get an A at all. although, I would suggest not missing class because he notices who shows up.

You MUST read the book! His lectures were sometimes off topic but you must pay attention because some of the questions on his test were bias and even though the textbook said something else, he makes his answer the right one. Attendance is a MUST. I missed it for my aunt's funeral and he just said you need to be here still, people die, get over it.

I had to take this class for my major. Sometimes class is boring but its easy if you show up. My suggestion is to ask him before the test what EXACTLY will be on the test. He will give you answers and likes to see that you're trying. It goes a long way! Before the end of the term ask for extra credit and he will give you the A or B anyways. (:

Whats better than movies? Instead of other professors boring lectures. This professor is super nice. He does make dumb jokes sometimes, but he's just trying to be funny and get students to like him. Hes so knowledgable when it comes to AMH. I got an A because if there was something I didn't understand, he was more than happy to explain it to me.

I just got finished taking this class. My grandmother died about halfway through the semester. I explained to Mr. P the situation and he told me I could take the next exam at any time I was ready. Completely understanding. When I took the exam I got a C and he gave me an A! My advice is to just talk to him if you're having a problem with the class.

very interesting professor. he tells ALOT of jokes trying to be funny. we watch movies sometimes. when it comes to history, he knows so much information. you can tell he's been teaching for many year. I got an A because I would always talk to him before or after class. my final grade was an 86 and he gave me the A. I would definitely recommend.

Pietrzak is a really genuine guy and will help you if you ask. He may seem somewhat 'unconventional' but he DOES care about his students. I've always hated history but he made it tolerable. I had some medical complications during this term and he showed a lot of compassion. I should've gotten a C at best, but he gave me the A. Pietrzak is great!!

Love this professor!! His stories are funny and relevant and his grading is very fair. Video and lectures are the majority of the class, and the tests are wonderful (make sure you buy the book!!) Highly recommend. I would note that he's very liberal-democrat, and if that's not your thing, you might not like some of his humor.

Professor Pietrzak is awesome. I took his class this summer and actually enjoyed it. He knows so much about History it is amazing, also, he is very funny. As long as you go to class and give it your best you will pass. The exams are open book, plus he gives the page number.I highly recommend taking his class.

I loved professor Pietrzak's class. HIs lectures are long, but he makes them interesting and funny. I learned a lot in his class. His tests are straight forward. He also assigns a few short papers but as long as you do it- you will get credit.

Mr. P was a great history teacher. Knowledgeable about history and quite opinionated, but a very fair and nice guy. Long lectures but he tries to make them interesting with humor. Assigned a couple papers but were graded very leniently; a couple well written paragraphs got me an A! Textbook is mandatory because he gives open book tests!!

I took his night class and only showed up because it was mandatory. Class can be very boring though he tries his best to make it interesting. The tests have nothing to do with the review but not his fault because he doesnt make them but answers are online. The class is an easy A though not too much work at all.
