Great instructor! Knows the subject well. Wants students to do well. Tests are difficult, but does his best to prepare you for them. Anatomy and Physiology is a very tough course. Take him if you can!!!

Great teacher, but very hard to get an A. Average grade is a C. Great sense of humor, very helpful, and very organized.

His test can be tricky. His notes in lecture aren't very good. I ended up having to print S. Johnson's notes to get me through the semester. He does give an easy last quiz(where he gives you the answers- in lab &lecture) and the final in lecture is easy.

Very clear on lecture. was confused at first but as time went on things got better. he gives excellent notes and quizes are somewhat hard. final was not as bad as i thought it would be.

He gives you all the notes for the semester but his test are kinda difficult. His final consist of questions from your previous test word for word so you should have to problem passing that. 3 unit tests, 4 journal artiles, presentation, and a final (questions from your previous tests word 4 word)

Loved him he is very helpful. I agrre his notes are not the best but they give you the basics. Really wants his students to succeed but its not a free ride. you have to want to succeed as well. He is better in lab then in lecture but he is good in lecture as well. Funny guy and not dry.

Great teacher! He's tough, but if I don't get something, it's not because he hasn't presented it--he's very thorough. He knows the subject and is interested in impressing that knowledge onto his students. To be prepared for his tests and quizzes requires knowing the subject from all angles.

I think he is one of the best. He must be very good since his class is the one that fills up the fastest. He is very helpful and if you pay attention in class you will do well. He never talks bad about other teachers. His comments are to talk to other students to get their opinion. He is always willing to take the extra time to help students.

By far the best A&P instructor at CNM. Dr. Sailer's passion for his field is only matched by his desire to help students learn. Responsive to requests for help and willing to assist during labs and office hours. I would whole heartedly recommend his courses to anyone serious about learning.

Great teacher, knows his stuff, pay attention and DO NOT miss a class. There are lots of semi difficult quizzes and a few tests, good thing is, you know your grade throughout the term so there are no surprises. Tests are tough, but final is not so difficult. NOT AN EASY A, but possible, you'll finish this class knowing your stuff.

Wish I had had Brian for all my Bio courses. He knows the material and encourages questions if you don't understand. His quizzes are challenging, you need to really understand the concepts. I finished feeling that I really had learned something.

I really enjoyed Dr. Sailer's Patho I class! I even recommend any biology course with him. His lecture notes provide a basis for quiz and exam material, but you really need to attend class to take good notes (to fill in additional info into his class notes). Overall, he is very helpful and really does care about student progress and learning.

Brian is by far my favorite teacher. He is very clear and concise. His lecture notes are all u need to study to learn the material. He also uploads his lectures as podcasts that u can listen to at home. He is an excellent teacher. I had him for A&P II lecture and Patho I. I wish I had taken him for A&P I as well as biology. EASY! His lectures are straight forward but not boring at all. The quizzes are also easy if you take time to look over the notes. Pay close attention to his lecture cause he give extra information which he turns in to questions on the exams. Easy Final, everyone in my class got an A! He uses the same question that he uses on the exams and quizzes.

He gives excellent notes, very straight forward on what is expected. Just a bit of advise get on his good side he has his favorites in every class. That will help with final grade!

Dr. Sailer is awesome. I took his Bio 1410 class online, and he always responded quickly to any questions posted by students. All of his lectures were available as podcasts, so this made it very convenient.

I took Dr. Sailer for bio 1410/1492. There is a lot to know, and he makes sure you know it. This is a hard class, but he really works with you, making sure you never fall behind. If you email him, he always replies when minutes! This is definitely a hard class, but he also makes it stick! Oh and for Mac users: all he uses is Mac!

Love this teacher! Very organized, straight forward and to the point. His lectures are awesome, he never loses my interest. He scared me on the first day but that was good. It intimidates you so you work hard, because now I know, you can't be a slacker in this class or you may as well not take it. If you really want to learn something take it!

This was a great class to take online. A lot of work but easy. He kept everyone involved and had a lot of participation. If you do all the work, you should do fine. There is a lot of it.

I wish I would have found him before Patho. and taken him for A&P I and II he is awesome. Taking him for Patho II as well he ROCKS, but don't for one minuet think he is easy but if you go to class and study his noted and lectures you will do fine.

This professor has free downloadable podcasts of his lectures on itunes. It's extremely helpful for reviewing the lecture material. He tests directly from this and his handout notes. His tests are scantron and his quizes are fill in the blank. No extra credit offered. You get what you earn.

I took the online class did not have to post discussions, four easy ONE PAGE essays, fast paced class. Awesome instructor. He gave extra credit and tons of helpful tips. I would definately take him again. Well organized and informational.Always available and eager to help.

Dr. Sailer is an awesome instructor. People walk into the class expecting it to be easy but NO bio class is easy with ANY instructor. You have to work hard and earn it. He always took the time to answer questions, no matter how many times you ask. He can be intimidating at first but once you show you're trying and want to learn, he's awesome!

Brian is a great teacher. All quizzes, homework, and exams are online. He explains things very well and will work to explain things to you. Right before every exam he does a collaborate classroom online so we can all ask questions and he will post pictures and videos to help. All PowerPoints are printed out and can be used on the exams. Online Test, quizzes and homework are tough, but if you study his notes and re-listen to lectures you will pass. Dr. Sailer was a very tough instructor. You have to study in order to pass, the labs are not graded, only the quizzes and tests. I liked the organization, but he came off as condescending. This is a pre req for other classes, not to just become a biologist!

One of my most favorite professors and Ive had my share of professors. He is very passionate about physiology and he knows what he's talking about. I thought he was pretty easy bc i attended class and listened to recorded lectures. Ive taken two of his classes and would take anything else he taught (if i needed them).

Good teacher for non-bio majors! The online assignments were clear, the grades are updated immediately, and the online course is easy to follow. It was a little strange downloading a web lock-down program and taking a test on video, but its completely professional. Dont freak out! Also, the book is free for all students! :)

Great professor. Lecture videos are awesome and really do help to understand the material. He has an outline for each section but make sure you take notes when you watch the videos because some things on the test are spoken and not written. I learned way more than I would from a textbook.

Solid class overall. All content covered in class is available online to review in the form of video lectures. Case study assignments are helpful for understanding the concepts. Tests were difficult to prepare for given the conceptual nature of the content. Extra credit assignments were interesting and the extra points were a comforting buffer.

Take Dr. Sailer! Hes great! Also I recommend getting Flashcards by NKO on your phone to study for the tests because the tests are hard. Its a heavy content class, but he makes it easy to understand and is very fair. He is also willing to help. He knows the material and expects everyone to understand it, but does it in a lecture based way.
