GREAT TEACHER!!!! He gets an A+
extremely nice person , willing to explain over and over. but the tempo is lost bcuz he is willing to be so helpful
Excellent teacher. He is always there when you need him. He throughly explains the material and will help you whenever you need help.
Great teacher...Would never recommend this class for the summer session...not enough time between test...very detailed...Grades HW
Excellent professor!
Second time taking, still loving it!
Extremely good teacher, always made time to help students and was very good at making problems simple. He was never in a bad mood and had a good sense of humor. Also, never said much about attendance or punctuality.
I like him...
He is a very good teacher. Always ready to help. Collects homework but not really checking it. But dont be fooled. The material is not really easy. You need to find time to study!!!
Mr. Smith is the best teacher I ever had at DBCC. He is very kind and patient. Laughs easily. Easy to talk to. Very approachable. He doesn't make you feel stupid when you ask a question. Pleads with his students to ask for help. I never would have made it thought math without him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
His tests are way hard. He goes very fast. Good teacher, however could give easier test questions and not double the amount of other mac1105 teachers. Take him if you want a challenge! If not take waymyire.
He gives you the hardest questions possible on tests. He is a nice guy, but so so hard. He doesn't give you a break at all. I suggest taking a diffrent teacher. He also takes attendance and collects homework. He also makes up problems to put on tests which are not even in the book!
In think Brian is the nicest teacher possible, he is always offering outside help and he is very approachable, he takes attendance to learn everyones name and he gives you 10 points on your final grade for just doing homework, he is also very clear on how he teaches, I really enjoy his class
What are you people smoking? Brian Smith is the best math teacher ever!!! He is very caring about a student's grade. He wants you to pass unlike other teachers, who shall remain nameless. Overall A+++++++++
the first thing brian ever said to my class was, "I just want you to pass." I thought we can make this work. He meant it, he would do anything to pass you if you do the work for it. Tell him when you need help and you'll do fine. He's not bad looking either!
He wants to see all work on test and will not give credit if you use your calc. I do not think this is a good teacher for you if math is your weak area.
EASY A
He is very helpful and encourages you to come to him with questions.
I took his class over summer and let me tell you it was tough. I've never had to retake a class before but this class was the exception. He's a nice guy but his test's are tough so watch out, he told me that his pass rate for summer was only 45% and I can see why. If Math isnt your strong point I dont suggest taking him.
I took Statistics over the summer and it was intense! He was a good teacher who didn't give you busy work. He was straight to the point and tried to make it interesting. Good teacher.
The best teacher I ever had... very relaxed... very helpful... does his best to explain everything
The best teacher I ever had... very relaxed... very helpful... does his best to explain everything
He's the best math teacher ever.
I guess he's a great teacher if you click with him. Not very organized and very scatter-brainish. While he offers extra help, don't expect him to go over it any differently than he already does in class to make it "click" for you. He moves very quickly so don't expect time to digest and process everything you take in. I don't recommend him and wish this class was over and it's only just started.
Very helpful and makes sure each person understand the material.
I trully think he is the best math teacher in college. You should really be a stupid if you don't follow him couse he explanes so good. You can EVEN LIVE IN HIS OFFICE during his office hours, he would not mind--he will be always happy to help you. Great teacher!!!
He is one of the most helpful and caring teachers I have had. He truly cares about his students and will do anything to help. He is a very nice teacher. Plus he is decent looking.
best teacher ever!!!!! very helpful
MR SMITH IS VERY HELPFUL AND CALM BUT HE GOES TOO FAST AND TEACHES IN A DIFFICULT MANNER. HE MEANS WELL BUT HE NEEDS TO BREAK IT DOWN TO THE GROUND ITS A REMEDIAL COURSE WE ARE ALREADY SLOW HE HAS TO COME DOWN TO OUR LEVEL. LADIES YES HE IS EYE CANDY BUT THAT DOES NOT GIVE ME THE ANSWER.
Brian Smith is the best math teacher at DBCC! Nice! Helpful! Patient! Take him!
I HATED Algebra in High School, but taking it with Brian has been great!! I think if you don't do well in his class it's bcuz u aren't trying at all. He will explain anything you ask him to, & he will always help you during office hours. His tests are eazy, problems come straight from the homework most of the time! Do yourself a favor and take him!
HE'S AWESOME....BEST MATH TEACHER I EVER HAD...HOTTIE TOO!!
He is so helpfull and nice! He always gives practice tests before each one as long as you ask as a class and they help you to study so much! Hes young and nice and always always available for office hours. Go see him in the academic support center even if your not in his class he will help you alot! Take him as often as you can!
great teacher, very helpful, Brian goes over thingd very thoroughly so that you will understand, checks homework very lightly, and adds them into test grades
Take a difficult subject, put Brian in the middle, and you will come out understanding this subject so well. He is the sweetest guy; Hilarious too! He makes it "so easy a caveman could do it!" Do the homework-he collects it for a grade. Before tests he gives a packet with questions like what will be on the test-DO IT! TAKE HIM! TAKE HIM! TAKE HIM!
Brian is incredibly helpful and easy to understand. His top priority is making sure each student has a firm grasp of the material, and he makes himself easily available for personal assistance. His tests are almost exactly from the homework problems, and he usually gives out copies of the previous semester's test before each test. A+++
one word....GREAT!
This teacher is very nice but teaches way too fast. He really needs to slow down. College Algebra is not naturally easy for everyone. He is also helpful at times, but offers minimal help in the afternoon, which is very hard for people that do actually work a day job.
He is a really good teacher and explains things well. He will reexplain without giving an attitude. He asks several times if everyone understands. Very good teacher. This teacher recommended for this class
what an awsome teacher!! He helps you a great deal if you need it and he also gives all his free time to devote it to his students, hes a wonderful teacher, one of the best.
I had a great time in his class. He has an excellent way of making sense out of the hardest material.
Brian is an excellent teacher - he tries as hard as he can to make sure everyone understands the lesson - you can get help during his office hours, he provided the solutions manual for our class for extra assistance...attendance isn't mandatory - homework is "graded" before each test, so do it! All-in-all, Brian is great - take him!!!
Excellent Teacher. He Even Gives You His Home Phone Number On The First Day Of Classes To Make Sure He Is Available If You Need Him For Questions. Such A Nice Teacher. Sometimes He's A Bit Fast, But Because He's Goes Faster.. Time Goes By Faster.
He is an awesome teacher! He tries his best to make sure everyone understands the material. He Devotes a lot of time to his students as well. I think he is the best teacher at DBCC.
I've had Brian Smith for both Intermediate and College Algebra. He is so helpful! I feel like I am horrible at this subject, but I was able to make good grades pretty easily because Brian is clear, concise, and always willing to help. Register for his classes ASAP because they fill up in a blink. You won't regret taking his class!
This guy is AWESOME! If you are uneasy about math, this guy is the one to take. Best math teacher I've ever had. Thoroughly explains everything & really cares about his students. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
he is a great professor, very helpful, works with you very much with any stiuation you may have.
OH my gosh. Sweestest guy ever! I took him for intermediate algebra (the class everyone dreads) and it really wasnt bad. Alot of hw, but it counts as extra credit on tests. The tests are bad, the labs are actually harder then the tests. Do the hw and the class will be somewhat easy. I'm not good at math at all, trust me and take him. I got a A!
ummmm corrections to my last comment. The tests are NOT bad!!!! I'm taking him in the summer A term for college agebra so we will see how that goes...=)
BEST TEACHER EVER! easy to understand and is an amazing teacher. I took him for 3 classes and i wish i could bring him where i am tranfering next semester!
Amazing! Easy to understand. Walked me through statistics step by step! Super easy to understand. Wish I had him for all the other math I had to take!
Such a nice guy. It would be hard not to like him.:) Took his college algebra class for a 6 week course, which was pretty hard, but he always was available for help anytime u needed him in his office and stayed longer in class to answer any questions that people had. i'd certainly recommend him!
Very enthusiastic about mathematics. Friendly. Tall. Almost starts dancing when he does a problem containing trig. Very clear and concise on explanations. His tests were pretty challenging but thats because I didn't study or do homework. I made an A though! I would recommend taking him.
Amazing teacher! It was the best algebra class I've ever had. I almost....liked it (*gasp!) He's very helpful and easy to understand. The tests are straight forward and it's easy to get an A when you try.
Brian cannot do enough to help you. He will bend over backwards for you if you do your part.
Great professor! Explains everything very well. He does a ton of examples, and encourages questions to be asked. Homework is grades. Test are fairly simple and come from examples he gives in class.
He is by far the best math teacher I've had. He explains everything and is always available for help. I would recommend him to everyone.
Excellent! Excitingly Passionate about math! Avaliable all the time. and great teacher and explainer! take him!
Mr. Smith is an excellent algebra professor he definitely knows his stuff. Not a hard class if you listen and do all the homework (it?s a lot of work, but the practice helps prepare you for the test.) He gives a review before every test which is very similar to the actual test. Very organized and willing to work with you and answer any questions.
Great teacher and I highly recommend him. Fantastic!
Brian Smith is the best teacher by far at daytona state. He is the best math teacher i have ever had. He is extremely helpful, and will do anything to help you understand the subject. He is very passionate about what he does and will want every one to do well in his course. Please take this class if you have the opportunity too! :)
Awesome teacher!!! Goes slow enough and does enough examples to really help you grasp all the concepts. He always takes time to answer questions(no matter how remedial they may be). A lot of the test questions are MC. Best math teacher I've ever had!!!
He is extremely patient and helpful. I love him because he doesnt put trick questions on his tests and quizes! I cannot stand when teachers do that! Only thing is he gives a easy quiz problem every class which makes you have to show up and there is no make ups... &there is a group proj at the end so find out whos responsible in your class early on!
DO NOT take his ONLINE class! The first week alone there was 12 hours worth of homework. He may be the best teacher on campus, but he is a disaster online. I had to Withdraw because I could not afford to fail all of my other classes just to try and keep up with his workload. If this is your only class, you should be okay
Smith is great at what he does. He explains everything very clearly and makes sure everyone understands what's being taught. His tests and grading are fair. I felt good about the class throughout the whole semester. I'd take him again if it were an option.
He reminded me of Stuart from Mad TV! He was a great teacher, although he seemed to freak a bit if you asked him a question in class.
Toke this class online, the homework was to much but it's an online class. If this is the only class you will not have a problem but if not then watch out. You need to keep up. He will help you anytime you need help and he will go out of his way to help you understand.
A lot of work, but Mr.Smith is extremely helpful!
Best math teacher I've ever had! I'm horrible at math, but I did really well in his class. He makes sure that you understand everything and will do a ton of examples until you understand it. He gives very helpful reviews before the tests and he always lets you come to his office for extra help if you need it. Definitely an awesome teacher!
very good teacher. He is honestly a bit robotic. but in a good way, he will answer any question. and actually pauses to give you a chance to ask them. he logically explains things. and puts forth great effort to make sure you understand the underlying principles that really make the difference when it comes to "getting it"
Brian Smith is a great professor. Instead of teaching the theory and then sending you home to struggle with homework, he teaches you how to do the homework problems in class, and the theory unfolds naturally through that. He is exceedingly willing to help you outside of class, and he makes trig the easiest math I've ever taken.
Brian is the best math teacher I have ever had! He makes sure everyone gets what hes talking about and will give many examples. Hes a very patient person.
Brian is the best math teacher there is! He's very helpful, and he will go over the same problem if he have to just to make sure you understand it. He makes math look so easy and fun, his class was so much fun! I usually hate math, because of him I like it and understand it now!
Professor Smith is very knowledgable about math. He's willing to help out his students so that they do well. There is one quiz at the end of every clas but he let's you know what it will be on. If you study and do the homework then you should do fine in the class.
OMG! The BEST EVER. He was BORN to teach math.. ANy LeVEl!!!!! TAke HIM.All Ages
Brian is always willing to help during office hours. Extremely helpful in class. Moves very fast. One of the nicest teachers at dsc.
he is kind of robotic while he is teaching. however, he will spend all of his time to answer your questions during his office hours.
Okay, for starters HOTHOTHOT! If you couldn't tell by the exploding chili pepper haha. He is also very sweet and he genuinely wants everyone to pass. I would recommend him for any student that has trouble with math.
Brian is one of the most helpful, fun, and interesting Math teachers I have ever had.
I took trig online with this man during the summer. I didn't think he was so great. He didn't actually do anything but take our math xl grades and plug them into the school's system at the end of the semester. I wish I had such a cake job!
Brian Smith is the best professor I have ever had. If it weren't for him, I'm sure I would have failed this class but I got an A. He is genuinely concerned with his students' grades and wants them to succeed. I really regret not taking calculus with him before moving out of the area.
He is the best math teacher I have ever had! He cares about you and wants you to pass. I hate math but he is an awesome teacher I took him for intermediate and college algebra. College algebra he really helps your grade with an project at the end, just pay attention in class and do the homework you will pass!
Excellent!
Mr. Smith is one of the most helpful, concerned-about-you-and-your-grade teachers in this school. He is very helpful, and wants you to pass. Is willing to answer any questions.
Mr. Smith was by far the best math teacher I've ever had. Best—not easiest! He's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, and crazy math-smart. Super patient teacher, makes sure everyone understands. His tests are more difficult than the department's tests (super tricky!) so this class is better for those naturally good at math. Brian is the bomb.
Really helpful, very nice and always provided help when needed. Step by step solutions and crystal clear about each math problem. Well deffinently take his class again.
VERY HELPFUL! Highly reccomend
By far the best teacher I have ever taken. Also, he is the nicest person I have ever talked too. Willing to help if you dont understand.
Professor Smith was an amazing teacher!!! He was nice, funny, and very helpful. He would help you out with any problem you needed, even if the question was stupid. I would recommend him to anyone!! BEST TEACHER EVER!!
Hands down the BEST math teacher I have had! He makes the class enjoyable and is extremely helpful!! He will not go on to the next section until everyone understands the material. I highly recommend him if you want to get a good grade
Honestly I fell asleep in his class, his being the ONLY class I fell asleep on. I never understood the work. He failed to make it interesting, he is a good teacher but not one for me.
Brian is one of the nicest teachers you will ever have. He will go out of his way to make sure you understand. I would highly recommend him, he really cares that you pass his class.
He is the best math teacher ever!! ALWAYS willing to help you. He uploads all the notes online so don't worry about writing down every single thing he says because he does go by fast. He wants you to pass the class. Highly recommend him!
I suggest not taking this course online as the textbook isn't the best in helping you to understand the material. Professor Smith is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend using him. Grading is done pretty quick. College algebra isn't an easy class so studying is needed. Smith is as helpful as you can get. Probably one of the best teachers.
Best math teacher at DSC. Super friendly and all around a great person. Extremely helpful and will take time out to help you individually and doesn't move on until everyone gets what's going on. Highly recommended to those who aren't too good at math and need extra help.
Best math professor I've ever had! Yes Calculus isn't easy but he makes sure you understand before he moves on in the lecture. He will help you outside of class and in lab. If your going to take Calculus 1 take it with Brian Smith!
good teacher, easy to work with. But for some reason asks to do projects. even had to write essay, yes in Math class. But still- will recomend
Very picky about his grading stuff. Seemed to me that whatever we went over in class wasn't always what was on exams. I mean Calc 1 is hard enough but good lord. He is there to answer questions and whatnot so that's good. Be sure to study
As I would have to agree that Brian Smith is a very nice person, I was there to learn Math and he assumed that everybody had previously known the work, and rushed through the chapter, until the end of class when he decided to teach a new concept. Bad time management, and too concerned with the environment rather then teaching.
Favorite math teacher at DSC. Have taken two classes with Mr. Smith and would recommend others to take him as well. A lot of notes in class and a test every few weeks but he helps you learn everything that's on it.
Brian Smith is what teachers should aspire to be. He is one of the greatest teachers I have ever come across . Compassionate, Kind, and an amazingly helpful. You have a question or need help, he's there for you. Genuinely struggling with an assignment, he understands. If he taught Calc 2 and 3 I would make certain I was signed up for his class :)
VERY good teacher. Takes time to answer questions and slow down if someone is having trouble. Tests are short, and easier than the homework questions. Homework is due for every chapter after tests, but are easy As as long as you turn them in.
Calculus is hard as it is, but Brian definitely teaches everything very clearly and understandly. doesn't rush, easy to talk too, and a funny guy thats awesome at math.
Brian Smith is a super nice guy and truly cares about his students. His teaching style though is different than what I'm used to. He'll lecture for half the period and then you work on your own and ask questions for the remainder. 99.9% of the time you will have a short quiz @ the end of class, which he helps you with.
I'm taking online trigonometry with this professor and would never take him again. All homework is assigned over the weekend (instead of the entire week), and there is LOTS of it, so every weekend I've had this summer has been miserable. Tests have way too much weight, and quizzes and hw don't have enough. I'm putting in so much effort, to no avail
Cares about his students and wants you to succeed, the best sort of professor. Nice guy.
Mr. Smith is the best math teacher I've ever had. I attempted College Algebra with another professor and didn't get very far. He takes the time to make sure you understand the material before moving on. He will even go so far as to stop class and come over with you one-on-one to explain the material. His grading is extremely fair. I would recommend
This man loves what he does and has mastered the subject. Not only that, but he really cares about his students. Math has never been a strong suit, but professor Smith is patient and makes himself available. Always willing to work individually until we've grasped the material. His heart is huge and definitely in it. I 100% recommend him.
Brian is awesome. Take him, period. He is such a great professor that I would even go so far as to say that you should make the rest of your schedule revolve around Calculus so that you can make sure you get Brian Smith as your professor. I'm not saying the class is an easy A, you have to work for it. It is Calculus after all. But he's the best!
Very energetic and well worth taking him
Take this professor. Not only is he a genuinely nice (and attractive) guy, but he is a great teacher. He doesn't assume that everyone is good at math, so he has no problem going over basics or answering questions. After taking his class, I feel like a have a strong understanding of calculus. I probably could have gotten an A if I tried harder.
Have taken him twice before and will for my last math credit, def worth it!
Took this professor for calc 1. I am now in calc 3. My professors for calc 2 & 3 are rubbish compared to this professor. If you don't take him, you are making a huge mistake. On top of being a great professor, he is a genuinely nice and funny guy. Wish I was still taking him!! Thanks Brian!
Professor Brian Smith has to be one of my favorite professors. I took his 1/2 semester online intermediate algebra class as an elective. He was very thorough. He called me when I missed an assignment and even gave me the chance to redo it. He gets back to you with great response time. I would definitely suggest taking his class!
Brian Smith is amazing !! He is extremely helpful. He isnt worried about stopping the lecture to explain something you dont understand, he encourages your questions. available for emails/office hours before/after class, he stays after class to answer questions. posts lab answers online, even if you dont do them you can get 100% if you just copy.
Fantastic professor! I was so nervous to take calculus1 since I've heard so many rumors about it being so difficult. But Brian Smith makes calculus very enjoyable! This was a class that i would look forward to going to! As long as you do all of the hw assignments and labs, you'll do great on the exams. Couldn't ask for a better calculus teacher.
Amazing teacher. I went in blind not previously have taken pre-calc, and he made sure i never needed it. Trig is definitely helpful prior, however pre-calc with this teach is practically useless, he explains the easiest of steps so everyone understands. If you're good at math its a easy A. Textbook isnt necessary as his notes are all you need.
Prof. Smith was amazing. Taking trig online was enjoyable for me. Throughout the course, I had opportunities where I needed to contact him. Through emails, he displays professionalism while showing true care for students
Professor Smith is a very organized and professional instructor. Hes easy to contact, respectful, and provides awesome feedback. I took his 10 week online Trig class and nearly passed with a 100 average. If you study the material he provides, youll be absolutely fine.
Brian is the best math teacher I have ever had. He genuinely cares if you understand the material and explains everything so clearly and makes it easy to understand.
Mr. Smith is an amazing professor to take at DSC. He's funny, caring, and turns his lectures into art. Literally. Albeit the homework he assigns has a ton of questions, it was worth it in the end. I'd take him again because he's amazing!
great professor really cares about his students
This class uses the pearsonmylab program and I love it. Its easy to learn how to do math problems on there if youre a visual learner. Smith mainly assigns sets of math problems on there and every other week expect to see a discussion post due where you have to show your work. I really like that you can always see your grade in the class too.
the greatest math professor I have ever had. calculus isn't a particularly easy class but his lectures are SO easy to follow. he is the most understanding professor i have ever had honestly i can't say enough good things about him. 10/10 would take again
He is the most chill professor you can ever meet. He has a really great method to teach and he cares ALOT and wants everyone to love math and pass with an A. I would highly recommend taking his class you will never regret it.
Professor Smith is one of the greats professors I have ever taken. Very fair and a very professional professor. Treats all students with respect and care. Very recommended and I would absolutely take his classes every semester.
Professor Smith is extremely understanding and caring, and treats his students with respect. He does assign a lot of homework, and I specifically took intermediate algebra with him and he uses Pearson MyMathLab, it's an awesome tool that walks you step-by-step through the problems if you're having issues. He is very easy to get in touch with, 10/10
The BEST professor I've ever had! He makes Calculus seem so easy. He explains very well, and is willing to answer all of your questions. You can go to his office hours and he will help you out too. If you pay attention in class and practice a lot of problems, you will do fine. He cares about his students, and will help out as much as he can.
Professor Smith was one of the kindest and most compassionate professors I have ever come across my entire experience at the school. He is flexible and truly wants his students to succeed. Would recommend him a million times over! If you are not good at math he offers plenty of office hours to make sure you understand course content. 10/10
Super genuine and cares about his students, always available for questions. Would take him again in a heartbeat.
Professor Brian has a passion for teaching and it shows. He really cares about the success of his students and is therefore very tentative and willing to work at your pace. He makes the subject interesting, even to those who are uninterested. Professor Brian is without a doubt my favorite professor at Daytona State.
Mr. Smith is a great guy. Enjoys helping students, very reliable and competent, and is very passionate about his job.
There is lots of homework so you will have to stay on top of that but he was an amazing professor, always willing to help, and always found a way to make sure his students understood his lectures and didn't have any questions for him.
I liked Brian Smith, I had him in two math classes. He is respected, caring &there for his students. I didn't like in both his classes how little work he gives, how confusing they are, & how much time it takes to complete the work. His projects were complex(for me).ALEKS didn't teach anything, then expected 100%. Loved prof, but frustrating process
Loved this professor. Took him online for summer B. Instructions are clear. Gives several ways to reach out for help. ALEKs mandated, projects/work every week, one simple quiz. Would take him again!
He's very kind and cares about his students. He doesn't grade hard at all. He'll give partial points for trying. Homework was usually around 10 pages, BUT only the odd numbers were assigned, so it turned out not being too much to do.
Absolute math goat. Genuinely likes math and likes teaching. Isn't going to judge you if you forget basic algebra. No, but for real, this is one of the best math teachers I've had. He goes into depth on how to do each problem and why you do it that way, and helps you solve problems with the least amount of trouble. 10/10
Professor Smith is the only professor I've had regularly call me to ensure I was on track to pass his class. He showed obvious, genuine care for me and was instrumental in my passing his class. I would've without a doubt failed with any other professor. I hated the class and was terrible at it but I couldn't have asked for a better professor.
Thank you so much Prof. Smith, I am good at math, but for some reason, I kind of scared myself into thinking that I couldn't do it, MAT1033 was a breeze, he made sure that I didn't lose hope or faith in myself. I made a C, but that was completely my own doing
His lectures are easy to follow and understand; but if you don't understand just say so, and he'll help you out. The labs are super easy, just do the work and guaranteed an A for those! The tests are easy and actually go over the exact material he went over in class! Overall a funny, helpful, and caring professor... absolutely recommend! :)
Professor Brian is 100% my favorite professor. Thanks to Brian's clear lectures I managed to get an A. He took his own time to help me and other classmates after school hours and answered any questions we had for an exam. Most exams had extra credit questions. He recorded the class lectures and made his own videos regarding what we were learning.
Overall a great professor. Always has hours when you can reach out to him and responds fast to emails. The class wasn't too hard and I took accelerated. Wish I could have him as my math teacher for all my future math classes.
He utilizes Pearson for his online classes, and has plenty of office hours. I went to one and he was a really nice guy, helped me a lot. There are homeworks, quizzes, projects, discussions, and tests. Sounds like a lot but really only the homework is a bit heavy sometimes. 10/10. P.S. use the homework to study for tests.
Mr. Smith is such a great teacher, his assignments are clear and simple. His course consists of projects and ALEKS. He sends out reminders of when projects and ALEKS are due which I feel is reassuring, he is always willing to help on projects. Great teacher would take again if I could!!!
He's the goat. Gotta take him for calc 1 and you'll be chillin
Definitely one of the best math professors I've had! His lectures are easy to follow and understand, and is a fair grader for the exams. He also cares for his students and encourages anyone to ask questions. Highly recommend, especially calc!
Professor Smith is a caring instructor who makes math engaging. Though the class has a decent workload, using tools like unstuck ai alongside the textbook helps make it manageable. Overall, he's a great resource who truly wants students to succeed.
One of the best teachers I've had in my schooling career. Lectures easy to follow. Takes time to ensure nobody is confused. Textbook for homework problems. Provides study guides for exams; if you understand them, you'll do great. VERY forgiving grader, if you miss the question completely he will throw you points for putting in an effort. 10/10
Prof. Brian Smith is the best math teacher I ever had! He really cares about his students & wants them to pass his class. He responds to emails & answers questions promptly. His work is easy to understand & he gives clear instructions. Participation matters in this class, and I am grateful I was able to take him and would 100% take him again!
This class was pretty easy. It uses MyPearsonLab which does record you while you test but you can expect that for any online math class. There were different amount of assignments due each week but never more than four. He also closes assignments on Monday night which is super convenient.
Honestly I had technological troubles twice and he was very understanding of it and extended the due date for me and also offered ways to fix the issue. He tries to be super helpful (builds of students thoughts) and makes the class as good as it can be (not many people like math but his class was easy to understand). He's legit the best!
Professor Smith is amazing. He always tries his best to help all of his students understand the material. He offers a Teams meeting version of the class for those who can't make it. He gives partial points on all of the exams. You can tell that he really cares about his students. If you have questions, he is always available.
Very kind Professor!
Amazing professor. Lectures are very easy to follow, and he goes super in-depth when explaining the material. Don't hesitate to ask any questions because he is super friendly and will break down anything he's doing on a problem as far as you need him to. I will definitely be taking him next semester for Calculus 2.
