Funniest teacher I've ever had. Was very animated. He taught very well and was very helpful. Tests got hard, but he explained everything fairly well. I recommend him.

Awesome teacher, i hate science and he helped me get an "A" in the class by explaining evreything with such ease. I never understood anything about Biology and endedup with an A... luck? or an amazing professor who really knows how to teach a class. I choose the amazing professor answer.

he's a really down to earth kind of guy and is always willing to help out. i was never intimidated to ask for help. he gives study guides to exactlly whats going to be on the exams.

I loved him! He is a great teacher and makes learning biology fun and interesting. He is very easy to follow and he prepares his students well for exams, You will not find a Bio. Professor more interesting. (He's good looking too ladies)

Awesome teacher. Really teaches the material well. He makes the tests difficult but is thorough in preparing you. I hate when people like classes because they are easy. This is college and you are supposed to learn.

He is a very good teacher. I really liked his lectures, it was very clear and to the point. Whatever he tells you in class is what is going to be on the test. The tests are a little tough but he gives you alot of time to study and even offers help if needed.

Very cool teacher. His test are not the easiest but everything is on the tset review or chapter onlines. If you study the review you will do fine on the tests. Plus he drops your lowest test grade. You definitly learn.

One of the coolest professors I've had. For someone with a Doctorate in Pharmacology, he acts and dresses like a casual guy (you would never guess how smart this man is). I would recomend him to anyone struggling with Biology or any of the sciences.

He made the class very clear and always willing to help you. His tests were not hard if you did the study guide and actually study for the test. If you just want to get over with the class and do nothing you won't pass it. I highly recommend him. Great teacher

This guy is terrific! The subject matter is difficult to understand, but Brian lectures in a way that makes it very clear. His exams are tough, but if you study with the review sheet and lecture notes he provides you it's not so bad. Great Professor!

He's an awesome instructor, very laid back but to the point. Gives you extensions if you need them on papers and stuff..Not to mention he's kinda hot :)

Pretty good teacher, just be willing to work. His tests are kind of hard, but if you study whats on the study guide and take good notes in class, you'll do fine.Also be prepared to do a presentation at the end of the semester. I passed the class with an A.

Had him for Nutrition during the summer. He is very helpful, friendly and easy to talk to. He makes sure to explain everything clearly. Take good notes and study your study guide he gives you. Some questions are tricky, but are made to make sure you understand the material. You have to study!!! I would recommend him.

There are few professors that come along and leave that impression on you. Brian is an intelligent man with a wonderful ability to reach out to his students. Be prepared to learn, and listen to some of even the most minute comments makng attendance necessary.

I had Brian for two semesters of Bio and because of his influence it has changed my interest in the subject and made a lasting impression as a professor. His teaching style is unique because he is so relaxed and confident in the subject. Highly recommended.

excellent teacher, very clear on information. take him if you are interested in biology. he gives you a review for tests if you study them you will do fine. downside there are 2 essays on the tests but if you have key points you'll do fine. he gives extra credit every week!i would definately take him again.

I absolutley love Brian. I came into Bio 2 with an awful Bio 1 background and thought I was gonna fail out but Brian explains things really well and is always there to help. I am so thankful that he was my professor for this class cause now I am reinterested in Biology and I have Brian to thanks. Study for his tests and you will do great!

Brian is beyond awsome. Hes such a cool professor. Not gonna lie dont take his class if your gonna knock off, hes cool but this is a class were you get what you put in. You have to study but he gives you everything you need before the test so its all there for you. I would definently take his class again.

Class was great, lectures were interesting and engaging, doesn't lean too heavily on powerpoints which are a plus in my book. Test are pretty hard, but he gives you many chances for extra credit. I recommend him to everyone, great teacher!

Brian is a really good teacher, I learned ALOT in his class, however, I think the tests were unreasonably hard. You could study the hell out of his notes and slides and still fail the test. I would not take him again. If you're a genius at tests, you'll get the most out of it. ... and he makes for some good eye candy. ;)

Very good professor. A bit difficult, but not bad if you study. Always has students write a paper sometime during the year, and present it at the end.

He likes hard multi-stepped questions. Tests are very hard. He doesn't have his own notes/powerpoints.Lecture is on point to tests. Very approachable and quick to help. Be prepared to study a TON! But I still got a A.

Brian is awesome. His test are killer, but will prepare you for upper level science and MCAT. He is funny and extremely knowledgeable. Extra Credit opps and essays will help you out. Just show up to class and study!!! Would def take this dude again!

Just finished taking a summer session with him. I loved his class, hes incredibly smart and is always there to help when you need it. His tests aren't hard if you study and he gives you the essay questions ahead of time to prepare for them. I would definitely take him again.

I took nutrition with Mr. Stout in the Maymester. I don't know if it was because of the long class hours I attended but his lectures can be a little dry. However he is incredibly knowledgeable and very ready to help. His tests are more tough than I anticipated. He gives reviews and you should plan on doing extra studying.

For test: expected to draw out pictures of what was studied for example: atoms, DNA,mRNA,tRNA,Transcriptions, meiosis, mitosis, plant cells; read charts to understand process of alleles, the punnett square, read periodic table, multiple questions, write out definitions, answer true/false questions. For online:post to discussion board,an essay or 2.

Very fun and informative class. Took online Flex and he made it easy to keep up as long as you participate in the discussions. Gives very detailed reviews for the tests so if you don't pass it is because you are lazy and not because he is not helping!

His reviews are easy to follow, if you do the exam review you will do well. His exams are pretty straightforward, either you know the material or you don't...sometimes he's not clear on essay requirements.

He's a great teacher. He's very good at making sense of things taught in the course, he's very easy going and always willing to help. He's tests aren't the easiest but if you do his review you should get a good grade. You're not required to attend lecture but it's helpful. I will definitely take Anatomy 2 with him.

This class is very hard internet class and you have to take quizzes every week. You do have to study, however the professor is very easy and helps. He is so sweet and you do have to take two exams in person. Be prepare to work in this class only because it is biology. its not easy. prof is good though.

Professor is very passionate about his job, you can clearly see that he loves teaching. His lectures are very entertaining, you don't need the book. His tests are difficult but as long as you study his review you'll be fine. Also an extra he gives extra credit.

He is a great teacher! His lecture exams are pretty intense, but if you study the review at least a week before the exam you'll do great. He definitely makes you think! His multiple choice questions are not what you would expect but it helps him know that you know the material. I would DEFINITELY take him again for another class!

Took online 8 week. Quiz each chapter and an online review for a grade. His lecture notes are unbelievably helpful on every quiz and the midterm/final. Study these and you will be fine. He also gives a large amount of extra credit on the final exam for writing papers about a science radio show.

This professor is my absolute favorite. You'd be doing yourself a huge favor taking his class. His curriculum is informative, but not boring. If I could give him 10 out of 5 stars, I would.

Professor Stout is awesome He's not boring and participates in the class discussions which is pretty cool. He's really quick about writing back on emails and actually cares about how you do and to make sure you can pass. Homework is super simple and everything even most of the quizzes are out of the book. Totally recommend

Extra Credit is available. Tests are hard if you do not study the study guide provided. Make sure to not slack in the class otherwise your grades will show it.

Stout is awesome. The material is dense and often overwhelming, but he gives plenty of opportunities to succeed in the class. If you don't skip assignments and take the tests deadly serious then you will do well in this class. He is funny and young and I think still gets what it's like to be an overwhelmed student, and he really knows his stuff

I enjoy Microbiology so I really enjoyed his lectures. He's very conversational about it instead of just reading off the power point. He provides reviews and a given essay question on the test that you can prepare for. I also thought the labs were really interesting and the tests for them were fairly easy to study for. GREAT PROFESSOR! Take him!

Stout is an AMAZING teacher, he knows his stuff! This is not a easy class so prepare to study! A&P 1 & 2 is not my forte, hardest class I have ever taken. Dont be afraid to ask for help he will help you just ask! Would recommend him, just know you will have to work for your grade! TAKE him you wont regret it :)

Brian Stout is an excellent professor. I took him for A&P 2 and wish that I took him A&P 1. He's really good about letting you know what is going to be on the test. There are always 2 essays per test but he tells you what they will be. He also lets you email him any questions you have on the test and answers your questions.

Is seriously there for you. If you're having any problems with any of the material all you have to do is ask for help and he's happy to be there! Not an Easy class but i still managed to get an A and I struggle with science. Gives awesome extra credit! You have 1-2 Learnsmarts, quiz, & discussion every week for flex. Great online class!

Dr. Stout is laid back and so is his class. The tests were difficult for me because he gives you choices A thru G, which to me seems ludicrous, like he wants you to second guess yourself. It was very annoying. Also all of the scientific papers we had to study and do presentations on totally sucked. Overall I enjoyed Micro with him.

This was a TOUGH class, but i would take this teacher again and again! If you read the textbook and take notes you will do good. He does provide Test Reviews and Chapter Notes early so that you can study with enough time before the test starts. His Discussions are very helpful and interesting. I REALLY RECOMMEND HIM!!!

Really good teacher and is outgoing in his lectures. will help you in the lab as well. Cares about the students. one con is that in his microbiology course you will have three tests in the last two or three weeks of school which can be stressful. Tests are very difficult as well but he reviews over them so you 'can get an A on them. would recommend

Great! He is always willing to meet with students if they need help. Will attend group studies on and off campus. Anything on review is fair game for exams. I highly recommend him. His classes definitely prepared me for the higher level classes I'm taking now. No free rides but he'll tell you exactly what he wants for exams.

lecture heavy talks very fast. Best to record him. He does put up all the power points & reviews for tests at the beginning of semester. He replies fast to text messages & emails. He drops the lowers test grades. He is willing to meet up with students any time any day including weekends. He isn't tough on spelling. BEST TEACHER TO TAKE FOR A&P!

Im no science wiz & itd been over 10 years since Ive done biology. Everyones right, but the thing is if you keep trying and ASK HIM for help he MAKES HIMSELF AVAILABLE so you WONT fail. I thought I was going back to fail until I asked for help. Its a college class people its going to be tough if you dont put in the work. Great professor!!

Great teacher. Really knows his stuff. If you don't like to participate and show up to class (even though you are in college to learn) don't take his class. He doesn't expect anything from you he shouldn't and has test reviews posted from day 1. I wish he could teach all of my classes!

Has some trouble explaining some things, but overall great. really knows his stuff. Tests are not easy, but his study guides relate to test topics. Challenges you and is easy going. From the beginning he made it clear that he will ALWAYS BE ACCESSIBLE FOR YOU IF YOU NEED IT. Exams are big chunk of grade, study study study and you'll pass.

Dr. Stout is the best biology teacher I have taken and really wish I was able to take him for BIOL 1406. I had taken BIOL 1407 online and had no issues completing labs or reaching out for help with reviews for research papers. Exams are 100% from his notes and review. Although that doesn't mean they are easy make sure you study.

He is test heavy and they are difficult but A&P is a difficult class. Good professor that's easy to contact and is very helpful

Taken Professor Stout for BIOL 1406 & 1407 and love the way the course is structured. The book is Openstax and for each chapter he gives notes/PPT/videos/exam reviews--these resources are available from the start of class. No weekly quizzes, just labs, journals and 3 exams (70% of grade). He is extremely accessible and just wants to help you. 10/10

Dr. Stout is a really good professor. This class is very enjoyable and will teach you a lot. You have to be prepared to read and study every week or you will not pass but honestly as a student that is our responsibility. The labs are fun and the reading material/videos are great! They help prepare you for the exams. Highly recommend this professor.

Kinda hard & mostly because tests took up 70% of your grade but if you study and turn your assignments on time you'll be good. I would study the week of the test & the lowest grade I got was 82. He is a good professor and will answer any question that you have through email and he will also meet with you on zoom if you need him. LockDown Browser**

Dr. Stout was hard! But so helpful and always so quick to respond! Whenever I had a hard time understanding a concept, he would always offer to get on zoom. He is very nice and is always wanting to make sure that he is there for every student. We had three exams and a lot of labs that were tricky but do-able.

Prof.Stout was very good. Note that he has lecture videos around 2 a week, 10-25 mins long. Exams are weighted 65%, study hard for those. He gives great study guides, they just have a lot of info on them. Uses Lockdown browser. Replies fast, and willing to help any time. Advice: youtube anything you dont 100% understand. You will pass just STUDY!

I took 1406 with him and it was easier. There is a lot of reading and you have to learn a lot for the exams which are worth 70% of your grade. He uses LockDown Browser. He is easy to contact and explains you anything you need. He is a good professor but the class is just hard not even going to lie. You have to work to earn a good grade.

A&P II is a difficult class, no matter which professor you choose. He was always there whenever I had questions. The exam reviews are different but made in a way where you need to have a general understanding of the topics. You have to put in the time and effort to do well, but he's a great professor and I'd take him again/ recommend to anyone.

the class is very straightforward, yes the tests are heavy but it gives you a feel for what real nursing school looks like, it teaches you time management which is soo essential in future courses, this class is hard for sure but not impossible and theres extra credit (3) so def do those

Microbiology is tough, but I don't think this class was bad. He provides everything you need to succeed, but you need to be disciplined to put in the time to study and learn. Provides study guides and extra credit. I would have probably done better if I had more time to study. I suggest looking at the syllabus to prepare for the semester.
