Brian is an awesome instructor. You can't ask for a more helpful easy going instructor. The absolute best of the best! If you want to pass and learn about Algebra along the way he is the instructor for you.

Very good professor, very willing to help if you have problems understanding something. Very clear at what will be on the tests. Downside is that the grade for the class I took is based on 5 tests with no test drops. If you do OK at taking tests I would greatly recommend him, if you have problems taking tests then I would not recommend the class.

Professor will go out of his way to help you. The class moves a little fast and the tests are the only thing grades are based on so if you aren't good at taking tests than this might not be the one for you.

Very good teacher, but he is fast paced and should only be taken by students who are good at math (well if you want an A anyway). One of the best teachers and most well-organized courses (online or other) that I've taken...responds to e-mails promptly & offers any help requested...pre-read the chapters, use the "Example" feature of MyMathLab for HW, organize the problems in steps, DO the HW!, take the Practice Tests, and you'll do just fine...I did and got an A!

Online Calculus for Business and Social blah, blah, blah. Prof. Thomasson answers your questions, replies to your email and lays out what he expects in an uncomplicated manner. You do the work, you pass the class.

Online Statistics Class.....He is extremely helpful via email and responds very quickly which was important for me b/c I moved overseas during the middle of the semester. I would reccommend this class to anyone. I wouldn't say he was easy or hard b/c it's Math....I got an A but I took good notes. Great Instructor.

This class can be very difficult if you make it that way. You have to do the homework, and you have to come to class. Not because it's required, but because unless you're a genius, you won't pass without doing these things. Prof. Thommason does move along pretty quickly, but he always explains if there are questions. I recommend Prof. Thomasson.

Mr. Thomasson's class was relatively easy and i really learned a lot! i had a lot of fun. i took the business calculus class.

I was worried statistics would be difficult, but he provides a lot of help so I didn't have a problem understanding things. As long as you do your work and take advantage of the study tools, you'll do fine. Took the hybrid and hardly went to class. Doesn't require a whole lot of work, pretty average, all online. I would definitely take him again!

This Professor is the coolest dude in flip flops. He is very helpful and will walk you thru any problem without making you feel like a dummy. Graphing calculator is not necessary cause any calculator will do. Homework is mando but made easy. 2 in-class test and three at home. I TOOK THE HYBRID COURSE.

Cool and funny dude that happens to teach a very hard and boring subject. He gives 5 tests which most of the problems are straight out of the book. He has a lot of material he has to cover so he can't always answer questions during class but will always stay and help as much as he can. You have to apply yourself or you have no chance.

This online class is basically self taught. The professor has very (extremely) little interaction with the class. The software is very helpful though and if you do have a question the professor does get back to you in a timely manner. There is not final just homework on each section and a test on each section. I would recommend this class!

Business Calc is never easy, he makes it easier and is very clear. Is there before and after class and helps with recent nights HW. Great teacher, great pace in teaching and gives problems to study before the test. Gives partial credit, if you try and fail at a math problem.

Took this class online, the book is pretty useless except for the charts for critical values and Z values, in the middle of the book. I learned more doing the "View an Example" portion on the homework sction that I did reading the section. Overall it was an ok class but time consuming. I wouldn't recommend taking Statistics online.

Stats is a tough class, but this professor made it tolerable. Always there to answer questions. Course runs itself...use the View An Example, print it and have it handy for tests. Don't bother buying the book as you get a PDF version of it with My Math Lab. I like this professor so much that I am also going to take the Calculus class he offers. A+

I was nervous about taking Stats on line. But, if you watch the relevant videos and do practice questions prior to the tests, you will do fine. I haven't taken math in almost 20 years and made and A. Brian gets back to you quickly for any questions and gives you tips on how to work the problems easier on the calculator. I would reccommend.

I took the online course and Statistics is like Chinese to me. Although Mr. Thomasson was a little vague, telling me to use "Stat Crunch" which I couldn't figure out. I ended up just buying a graphic calculator. I made a B, skipping a test and some homework assignments due to my own laziness. Mr. Thomasson was very nice&responded to emails quickly.

A good professor who makes the subject easier to understand. He is a pretty cool dude that will work with you with any issues that might arise. All of the course work including exams are done using Mystatlab which is pretty good system. The notes given by the professor are essential for the homework, do it and you'll get an "A".

Great guy, great teacher. I had a lot going on the semester i took him for pre-calc and trig in separate online classes and he extended assignments when I really needed him to. Helpful if you have trouble and will send personalized emails of specific problems you have trouble with. Mostly online tests with 3 proctored tests if you take it online.

Math in general is my weakest subject. Professor Thomasson makes himself very available to his students via email or his office hours. My class was a hybrid. I would describe this class as an easily obtainable B, but a difficult A. Professor Thomasson is very fair in assigning homework and always responded to questions quickly. Professor Thomasson is a great teacher. I'm good at math, but not a teach myself genius so I was a little wary about taking him for a hybrid course in elementary stats, but honestly this class was a breeze if you put forth any bit of effort. I took him for Calc for Business and Social Sciences too and he was just as good. This guy is ideal.

Thomasson is a great professor. He does lecture the whole class, but he explains the problems different ways just in case you didn't get it the first time. Do expect homework. I would defiantly recommend him.

Helped me out a few times with scheduling around work for proctored exams, very easy going and will work with you.

The class is easy if math comes natural to you, if not, there is little instruction. You have to read and teach yourself this material. He gives quick feedback and the homework load is on the lower side compared to other online math classes ive taken. DO THE PRACTICE TESTS, they are the exact same formatted questions as the tests.

This class can be easy if you learn how to use Statcrunch. If you have an questions, the professor is super helpful and very quick to respond. Would definitely recommend taking.

He responds quickly to emails. You don't need a TI84 and if you master Statcrunch it saves a lot of longhand (steps).

I took this class online, and i LOVED IT!! i took it online with professor Thomasson and he was amazing! if i had a question, emailed him, and got a response in less than 3 hours. Grading is simple!!! 20% homework and 80% test. There are like 30 total homework assginments and 9 tests. 3 which are on campus (which you can use a notecard on). AWESOME

Not only was he super helpful with getting into the class but also getting me caught up. He is quick to respond to emails. This was my lowest grade ever but his class is set up for success. Great professor. I have nothing against him. I emailed him twice, and both times received quick responses. He is very clean grading and everything is on mymathlab. I do however feel that this class should not be taken online, unless you have a lot of time to practice, or you only have this one class. Would have taken it face to face.

Personally, this course was tough for me. Two things helped me pass: My professor and StatCrunch. He is a great professor and he works with you. When I could not understand the material, I'd email him, in less than an hour, I would get a response. He was literally my tutor throughout the course, and he definitely had patience.

Only had to email him a couple times and he responds within a few hours. He addressed all of my questions very clearly. 20% HW, 80% tests. All are on the online Pearson site, so it's automatically graded. You can get by without the book, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a math person. I recommend this professor! Professor Thomasson was an amazing teacher. All work was done through MathXL. All work can be done based on his lectures as long as you take notes. He explained statistics in a way that makes it easy to understand. Very relatable, occasionally telling a funy story always relating to the topic. 10/10 would take again.

He responds very quickly and is very helpful. The class is basically self taught with it being online. If I could do it all over I would take it in person. He would have been even more amazing in a class setting. I think I could grasp the concepts more quickly if taken in person.

There were only 2 tests (25 questions) and he provides a study exam on MathXL that you can practice infinitely and it's just like the real test!

He lays out the exact course work&dates in the syllabus&those do not change, two proctored tests where you can bring an index card with anything on, the study tests are basically the proctored tests. About 3-4 homeworks for each chapter&a quiz for each chapter, you can only take quizzes once but you can retake the HW until the end of the class.

Brian Thomasson is an overall great professor. He is one of the best for statistics because he has so much experience with it. I really recommend him to anyone needing an extra math credit. He gets right to the point, is honest, and is great at teaching.

This was an easy class. It is very easy to fall behind since the due date is the last day of class. However, attendance isnt necessary but necessary, In class he goes over a couple of the homework problems and even shows you how to find the answer on statcrunch so its best to come to class.

This class took me maybe 2-3 hours a week outside of class. The material was mostly very easy, although I have taken a lot of math courses. Lecture in class and the online HW & quiz weekly. 2 tests. Questions that show up in HW are the SAME questions that show up on quizzes and tests. He also gives a practice test. straight forward.

This is my second time taking this course but I would take this class a million more times if I had to because Brian is just that awesome. He really cares about your success and is easily accessible outside of class. The work is not difficult at all, even if you struggle with math; the key is staying on top of the work and not falling behind.

The course was 100% online. This course was a little difficult but as long as you communicated with him he's flexible. He even extended deadlines and was very understanding about the circumstances! In the beginning I never thought I would pass. If you are taking him for stats lookup Aspire academy on YouTube. The videos were very helpful!

By far one of the best professors I have ever had in 5 colleges I've attended. I wish I got the response from my online professors as quickly as I got responses from him. It started as an in seat class but then went online because of the pandemic. He didn't miss a beat and was super helpful not matter what day. I HIGHLY recommend this professor.

I am definitely NOT a math person, but needed the credit. This was by far the hardest class I have ever taken. Probably because I have been out of school for over 20 years, but this class brought me to tears on numerous occasions. There was so much work and i struggled with the quizzes and tests.

Took the online 7-week elementary stats. He used the pearson website, so it cost like $80 to access the quizzes, HW, and tests. It was set up just fine, but this is HEAVY on self-teaching. No lectures, just book. And 2 chapters a week felt like a crunch sometimes. I literally didn't contact Brian a single time, did the assignments, got an easy A.

I took this class on line and when I got jammed up, Prof Thomasson never gave me the straight answer. He gave me clues/hints and pushed me to think the problem out. He was also very quick to respond via email. Even though I struggled, in the end I got an "A" in this class but I put in the work to achieve this "A". This is NOT an easy "A" class

Awesome professor, when I needed help with his lecture he helped me understand it and his exam practice helped a bunch and if your not a type a person that want to study after class then I recommend you search for another professor, I put my late hour to study stats well and wasn't a fun time learning this but I pull through. I have never taken stats before this, so I was nervous coming in. You do all the work on math lab/Pearson. He had weekly video chats that helped if you took notes. If you don't watch his videos you have to self-teach, and that can get hard. I loved that he always answered within minutes. Overall, I passed the class and learned a lot.

Mr. Thomasson was a great lecturer. I took this course only during the second section. You work primarily on Pearson Lab. You have a lot of homework so make sure keep update to date. HW and Quiz are open book. He uploads his lecturers so that you can review them over and over. The tests are straight forward and mimic the quiz and hw.

Class is go at your own pace, everything due at the end of the semester. I had an emergency towards the end of my first attempted semester- when I had planned to do the bulk of the work. So don't do that. The key to this class is studying what you did in the homework. Take notes on all of those mistakes, and do the practice tests. Prof is great.

Brian is an amazing statistics professor! Very little homework and quizzes due each week. His class had soft due dates and it was really helpful especially when I had my priority on other tough classes. Use stat crunch! It will save your life. His quizzes and tests are exactly like the homework and he will never try to intentionally trick you.

He has his website with prerecorded lectures on each chapter. Work is done through Pearson mylab. 30 homework sections, 9 quizzes, 2 proctored exams.
