I’ve taken 139 and 107, now 108 to finish the History series. I love the way he does his online lectures if you need extra help and struggling, he is the one to turn to; he will not let you down. Your assignment grade is always accompanied with praises helpful tips for the next assignment. A+++

Professor Waddington is a cool guy.He loves to write essays. The final exam would be an in-class essay based on what you learned in the class. There are no tests,just quiz. The quizes are only five questions. He is a very funny teacher and make the class fun.

Prof. Waddington is one of the best teachers in the school. He mostly lectures, and uses texts to reinforce that. If you understand the concepts and are able to write well, in a critical style, you should do fine. If not, he always makes time for answering email, or talking with students.

Had him for online History class (107) Tough workout that's for sure. 1-3 page essays DUE EVERY WEEK. Can't handle it? Then don't take it online. I have no idea how his classes are on campus though. Nice guy, no problems. Just remember, this is one of those classes that seem to need a lot of attention.

I loved this class! His lectures are so interesting it was literally story time every class. He also give you so much detail about the how's and why's of history. He is very nice and I was able to manage his class with a really busy schedule! Take him and get that history requirement out of the way!!!

Taking his online class. You do an essay every week and participate on the discussion board. It's pretty simple you just have to do your work and you'll pass. He's also very helpful and nice. He lets you know how you are doing in class and responds to your emails quickly. Good teacher!

He's great, as long as you show up, take notes and do your outline hw for your midterm and final essay (which he allows in class while writing) it's an easy A. He has a small quiz almost every week to give you credit for being present and not brain dead. He explains things well and is very, very clean about what you should study for quizzes/tests.

Awesome teacher! He makes the material really easy to follow and gives great lectures. If you show up to class often then you should be able to pass the class easily. There was only one homework assignment and it wasn't that bad. I highly recommend this teacher! He is a nice guy too.

Good class to take. It is not very hard as long as you go to class and pay attention (take notes). Only a few essays to write that aren't that bad. You do learn, though. You can get by without purchasing the book since he mostly tests you on his lectures. He's always more than willing to help you be successful in his class.

im loving his class right now. I hate writing, but he makes it easy to write 3 page papers. Gives you the questions to write about. i got a 9 out of 10 for my first essay! and i stink at those. If you cant handle TONS of reading and writing, then this isnt the class for you. Just turn in the hw on time, participate in the discussion board.

I took this class over the summer and I was a little worried because it was the first online class I ever took. Although, Mr. Waddington was very helpful and the class very clear. Online you had to write about a paper a week but as long as you have the book the papers are very easy. There were also no tests.....great class

Brian Waddington is one of the best teachers Citrus College has. His honors class requires a lot of writing papers but it's an honors class, so that's to be expected. He's a fun laid back teacher, who has really fun life stories. Always participate in discussions. Awesome teacher, so take him if possible!

Mr. Waddington is extremely helpful and clear. He thoroughly explains what he wants you know for the quiz. He doesn't hold 50 question multiple choice tests. Instead, he gives small quizzes every other week. Other than that, theres one paper and the midterm and final are essays. He will spend 3 class periods explaining what he wants covered in them

Hailing from world renowned UC Berkeley, his insight a complete comprehension for history inspires even the most unmotivated student. The research paper I did in his class actually won me a small scholarship on fastweb. Truly beneficial to those on their way to a four year uni.

Waddington is extremely thorough about his expectations and is great at feedback. He's super accessible when you need help. Being an honors student, I feel that this class was the best honors class I've taken so far at citrus. Prof. Waddington is a cool and understanding guy. Not too much work. Online Class was fairly easy. Weekly quizzes aren't too bad. A paper on the Constitution and a paper on the Bill of Rights. A midterm test and a final paper. He grades fairly.

This was by far the best history class that I have ever taken! There's quite a lot of reading for this class, a few discussion board posts and few papers a week but it is not bad. If you are looking to work ahead or at your own pace for online class, this is not a good fit. There's a ton of reading and essays in short time, on his schedule.

Great Professor! I took him on a HIS 108 online course and he's very helpful and detailed with how he wants his assignments done, which gives you a good idea on how to breeze through the semester. Even accepts late assignments, but will deduct point of course. Most assignments are discussion boards and essays once a week. Best History professor!!!

Professor Waddington was a wonderful U.S. history teacher! He requires an essay each week for the "fast-track" 8-week online class, but the grade is worth it. I got an A in the class, and I wasn't a big fan of history to begin with. He walks you through the assignments and responds quickly to emails. Very encouraging and never puts your work down.

Although Professor Waddington requires an essay every week during the FAST TRACK version of HIST 108 online, I learned so much from this class so it was all worth it. He provides great essay feedback and will personally respond to students on the discussion board. He is highly involved in the class. I loved being his student!

In just communicating with him, he helped me get through the class without stressing over due dates. He really is so caring and fast responding. Great guy! Really helped me out a lot in this course. Easy class. Fair amount of reading. Not a hard grader. We had two papers (3-5 pages each), good amount of homework that was pretty easy, and a 10-15 page research paper that wasn't hard. He had us turn it in 3 pages every week. Flexible with assignments. He was very helpful and understanding.

His class is super easygoing. If you just do the little amount of homework that he gives then you should easily pass with an A or B. There's not very many tests and he always makes sure that the students understand what he's teaching.

Easy class, but missing class will hinder your success. No need to buy a book. He gives you the option of using an free online version. He is very good at putting lectures into perspective. Quizzes are easy. There are two essay exams that cover specific topics. Don't rush them. Put some thought into them, and you will get an A. Do the extra credit!

Professor Waddington is one of the most well-known history professors because he is knowledgeable about the subject and has countless experiences and stories from his own studies. He is easily accessible outside of class and is very clear with how he would like the assignments done.

He handled the class transition very well. Weekly response assignments to see your understanding of the chapter. Theres a big paper due at the end of the semester, but he creates essay updates throughout the class. He works with you through the essay process, so youre not alone. He has given me a new perspective in American history.

Professor Waddington is the best professor I have ever taken. He ignited my love of history through his teaching and caring ways. I wish I could take him again. He is very understanding and even with the difficult transitions lately, he has gone above and beyond!

I took his online six week summer school class. Waddington is a caring professor. He really wants you to learn and understand the material. Easy grader. There's a discussion post and essay every week. No tests or quizzes. Also, he provides a free online textbook which was great!! Would definitely recommend!

I took the 6 week summer course so there was about 2-3 discussion posts/major posts every week and a paper a week. But fairly easy its just your discussion post but more elaborated into like a page or two. No tests, no quizzes but he is kind of a hard grader. But I would recommend him

He is a really great teacher. He gives good feedback is so willing to help. Many professors dislike when students ask for feedback but he sits down with you or offers office hours to help you improve. Take his class and you won't be disappointed

Professor Waddington is such a great instructor. I took his class HIS 107 online because of covid. His class was a little difficult at first but really all you need to do is follow his rubric rule on how to do the essays and youll pass the class. I passed this class with an A. Hes such a sweet professor and is really there for his students.

Took him for Fall 2020, History 108, hes so easy. If you need a class just to take along with some of your hard ones this is it. Its an easy A however you cant slack or not do your work. Theres about 2-3 assignments per week, all discussions or paper. no quizzes. then final exam at the end. he grades easy too.

I took him before transitioning to online lectures but Im sure hes doing amazing with the online teaching. He is a very easy A. You learn a lot from this class and responds to emails quick. Thank you professor!

Professor Waddington is the best professor I have had in college thus far. His class was very fun and I enjoyed learning about history for the first time. After transitioning to online it was a bit more difficult as the style changed but it still was not hard. Just make sure to do the readings with the texts he provides and you are set.

I took Waddingtons 8 week class and it was online because of COVID. He provided online lectures and the textbook is also online/free. Once you understand his expectations, the discussion posts are a breeze. Class is mainly writing through discussion posts and short essays. No tests/quizzes.

There were a few assignments due each week but that is expected because of how much there is to cover. There is an essay due every other week but it isn't difficult as long as you do what you are supposed to. To get an A in the class, it is reading his posts that explain how to do the work, read the textbook, and write on the discussion board.

Prof. Waddington provides great online lectures that are prerecorded and done in a very well manner that is interesting and easy to follow along. HW, is usually a small summary of what you learned in a chapter followed with a response for a classmate, and a paper. Very easy grader, put in effort and you will pass. Easy work load!

Professor Waddington is amazing! I am not a huge fan of history, but I definitely have a newfound appreciation for it because of this class. There is a lot of reading and writing, so if you do not enjoy that, I would not recommend taking his class. However, he is very motivating and he inspires conversation and improvement which is great!

Prof Waddington is one of the best professor's I have ever taken. I took this class in the Winter 2021 while enrolled at a nearby University (very manageable). He is awesome and very understanding when it comes to grading. He is way better than most of the professors at a University and I would highly recommend to take his classes.

He is a very good Professor. You do discussion post and major post assignments weekly, and the only test you take is your final, and you do need your textbook for this class. It can be a lot to write and read at times, but he makes history interesting to learn. It is an easy class to pass. He is very understanding and a nice person.

This is the class that made me switch to a history major last minute. I loved this class, I would recommend anyone take this class. There is a lot off reading, but with any history class there is a lot of reading. Exams are also essay based but if you view his lectures and do the reading you will get pass his class.

Professor Waddington is a gem of a professor. He shows care for his students and really pushes others to learn the content of the course. He did not treat the class as a means to another paycheck and invested in each one of us so we could learn to our best abilities. I loved his course so much that I signed up for future courses under him.

Hands down my favorite professor he really cares about you and helps you very much! Highly recommend this class!

Took an accelerated online class, so I'm sure if you take the full course it won't be so work heavy. Around 3 writing assignments a week Fair grader though, if you get the work done and answer the questions you'll pass just fine, gives a lot of feedback and the final exam is just a longer writing assignment, take him!

Professor Brian Waddington is excellent. The class consists of writing an analysis each week about the chapter assigned. It ranges from having to write a paragraph or two about what we read to writing a page's worth of information. As long as you do the work on time and with effort and communicate your concerns with him, you'll pass the class.

Textbook is free. Very nice professor and he does his best to make sure students receive a good grade. Attendance is optional and the class can be done online if you can't make it.

Waddington is such an excellent professor. When giving feedback, he's very specific and provide examples of what could've been better. He's nice and his lectures are very informational and something to look forward to. Textbook was free. Coursework was easy (personally) and assignments require a lot of writing , but I didn't mind. Would take again.

Prof Waddington is a great guy, gave an overall 14 assignments over 16 weeks in the semester, he cares a lot about his students and is there to help. Be careful about using sources outside his lecture, he doesn't really like it. Would take again.

He was a fun guy, assignments weren't that difficult so long as you sticked to the info in the lectures, which didn't feel like they dragged on for too long, there was just a lot of them. Ultimately, this class was not that difficult, my only problem with this professor was that he didn't really give good feedback.

Professor Waddington's HIST107 class is engaging and rewarding. The assignments require effort, but with the help of the textbook and resources like unstuck study, you can succeed. Highly recommended!

Professor Waddington is a good teacher. His lectures are engaging. There is a lot of reading for this class, but not a ton of homework. My only gripe is that his canvas page is confusing. He doesn't use the home page, and it is not clear at first what is required for each assignment. Good class overall.

Brian Waddington was a super cool professor. I took his class and it was online so he posted weekly lecture videos. There was a lot of reading and weekly discussions + assignments but it was not anything too crazy or difficult. I enjoyed his lecture videos because he is entertaining and gives great U.S. History facts. Awesome instructor!

Professor Waddington is a great professor. Very caring guy that has interesting and engaging lectures. I've never been a fan of history but he made history interesting and fun for me. Homework was simple. Isn't a harsh grader and gives great amounts of time to complete each hw assignment. Wants his students to succeed. Would Definitely recommend!

So far, this class is going very well and Professor Waddington is amazing! He gives specialized feedback to everybody and the coursework is light, but you definitely learn a lot. One of my favorite classes right now!

Professor Waddington has made History, a topic that I used to despise with utter contempt and disdain as a little lad, into a fun subject where I'm glad to read and appreciate. Now, I am a new person. I am ecstatic to talk about our Presidents since the 1800s and the grandeurs of American History. Thank you Professor Waddington, you da best!!

This history professor is amazing. I only have a C in this class because in generally I can't grasp history assignments it's not my thing. BUT if you're into history this teacher is definitely for you. Homework is easy, he communicates very well with his students and is super understanding.
