This world religion class was way easy and interesting! There is a mandatory field trip but most enjoyed it. Lecture and notes everyday, but if you take notes you will be fine. We wrote two essays and tests were beyond easy. I would take him again! VERY EASY!!

My favorite class! I loved all of the information we covered and the class discussion was a lot of fun. He has a great, if somewhat cheesy, sense of humor, and I really learned a lot. I'm taking him again next semester!

He's a good teacher and a great person genuinely interested in his students' understanding of the material but he sometimes makes mistakes and misrepresents or over generalizes which isn't good imho. He could slow down give just a bit more detail and learn some of the material himself, I could actually tel which units he was interested in or not.

He's super funny, has interesting material, and is very knowledgeable in religions. He grades his papers very easily, his tests have plenty of extra credit. Somehow I managed to get over 100% on the first of the two exams because of this. Weekly quizes are done on your own time online and have unlimited time to finish them so you will do good.

Wagner is funny most of the time. I have the attention span of a 3 year old, so at times I would zone out, but mostly because of students being repetitive. He is friendly and approachable, and most of the time is crystal clear. Recommend taking him if you want to learn at a non-stressful pace.

Brilliant man, and fairly easy workload if you know the material which he teaches very thoroughly. Wagner is a good teacher, he's nice too and can be funny at times. The class is pretty easy, you just have to study for the midterm and final. All of our assignments were on Pearson My Religion Lab but I think he may have changed that. Overall not a hard class as long as you study! Can't remember if we had a textbook. If we did I didn't use it.

Brian is my favorite professor at Rock Valley and a great philosopher. I've taken him twice and I'm taking him again the summer before I transfer out of RVC. Very interesting lectures, and engages great discussion in class. This is the only time in which I'll admit that I wish his classes were longer. Most rewarding classes I've taken at RVC.

With professor Wagner, it's easy to forget that you should be stressing over a grade or getting credits. Personally, I had his class weekly for 5 hours in the evening, and I enjoyed every hour of every week. he is extremely engaging, charismatic, and funny, and an expert in his field. Once you're hooked, an A will be an easy, happy byproduct.

You do have to work for the grade, but the questions are not too difficult and the tests are pretty easy as long as you study. He's really funny and has a great personality. I would definitely love to have him teach all my classes.

Very lecture heavy class, but he is one of the best teachers ever. Tests are divided up into a little material, so there is a lot of tests (but small enough they are even considered quizzes). You are required to do a mandatory field trip for a paper worth a big chunk of your grade, but this class was so interesting and amazing and he is great.

There is much that can be said about Wagner. He is unlike any other that I've had at RVC. He is brilliant, funny, passionate, kind, a great lecturer, patient, and knowledgeable: a real gem for RVC. He is the go-to professor for religious philosophy courses. I had him for 155 & 156 and they were both excellent. Take him. You won't regret it!

Brian is the funniest, and most outgoing professor I've ever had! If you need to take a PHL class take him! His lectures are interesting to listen to and he throws out jokes here and there. There is a field trip that's 12 hours long but its not awful. There's 2 exams each 200 points so study really hard for those. Other than that, just hw & quizzes

Theres only 2 tests, but he has a study guide that is exactly like the test. Theres also extra credit on each test.

I loved Brian's class. It was really exciting and he was great at making the lecture go quickly. It was an easy class if you showed up and paid attention. I never studied for the quizzes, just memorized what we went over in class. Online homework is straight from the book. Loved how he keeps his personal view out of it. I will take him again!

By far the best professor at RVC. Very engaging and truly cares about you and your best interest. Explains everything well and is great at answering your questions if you by chance don't understand. Not too much homework, but enough to make sure you understand the material.

The class had a lot of recorded lectures, each were part of a quiz. The syllabus is pretty overwhelming when you first look at it but the set up makes sense once you start working on things. I loved this class it was the BEST online class I have ever taken. I loved that it gave the in-person feel without us meeting in person.

The class was taken online. He had online lectures posted on YouTube for each quiz. If you listened to the lecture and took notes then you would get an easy A on each quiz and later on the two tests taken in this class. His lectures were funny and kept you interested. He also had optional lectures that he did over Zoom that you could show up to.

Professor Wagner is a wonderful teacher. I took Religion in American Society and it was very interesting. Much of your grade rides on participation, but there are 4 ways to earn "participation points." If you go over the amount of pp's needed, you get extra credit. Amazing teacher and awesome lectures. I will say that there are a lot of assignments so be sure to stay on top of that. But if for whatever reason you were to miss a deadline just explain it to him and as long as you have a real reason hell give you some options!

I really respected Mr. Wagner. Although the subject was a bit boring, he found a way to make it relatively exciting. I admire his charisma.

Brian is an amazing human being. He cares for each of his students and wants everyone to do well. He's hilarious, teaches effortlessly and with passion, and overall just a rad guy. I hope to take his world religions class in fall 2022. (Definitely recommend taking his logic course!)

Professor Wagner has amazing energy when it comes to his lectures and he will answer any questions you might have about them. He also replies to emails in a timely manner.

Professor Wagner is an amazing, well-liked teacher. His lectures are so great, you can tell he actually cares and knows about what he's talking about. He shares a lot of personal stories that make you feel super connected to him. He makes a point to learn everyone's names too! His homework assignments are helpful when it comes to test preparation.

Great teacher, very funny, connects well with the students

I had Professor Wagner for World Religions and he was awesome! I took his class online and as long as you watched his lectures the homework and tests were easy. You dont necessarily have to participate but he does give you points if you include yourself in his zoom meetings.

Brian is amazing and easily one of my favorite teachers. He has a corny, yet funny sense of humor so his lectures were always a blast to attend. He gives really good and well rounded information about each religion without bias. He's always open to questions and really encourages in-class participation. I learned a lot and love him as a professor.

Professor Wagner goes above and beyond for his online students. The materials are always ready, instructions are always clear, and his lecture videos are incredible. It felt like being in the classroom without physically being in the classroom.

Lectures every day but he keeps it very interesting. We had quizzes after every religion we discussed. He super funny and understanding!

Brian's lectures are so entertaining, though he doesn't have an attendance policy I recommend going just because he is fun to be around. Textbook is optional and there is extra credit opportunities. Super great teacher and an easy A.

Brian was an awesome teacher this semester. His lectures were hard not to listen too and all the information was well organized. Quizzes were easy and Brian himself is hilarious. Would take again.

Professory Wagner is an excellent teacher who does an amazing job getting information across to his students. Course was slightly disorganized, but overall was a great experience.

Professor Wagner, aka Brian, is my favorite Professor in all of RVC. This is mainly for the fact that he can make such repetitive, boring information, insatiably interesting with his lectures. If you struggle with exams, he offers OPTIONAL HOMEWORK to increase your grade. He is incredibly understanding of problems outside of school as well!

Professor Wagner is a great teacher, engaging lectures that encourage participation. Assignments are self explanatory and cover the material you learned in class that day. You will not be surprised by a question because it is all there if you pay attention. Also includes ample extra credit opportunities and ways to raise your grade. You will learn!

Perfect online class. Prof Wagner laid out the syllabus very easily, there are NO discussion posts besides the initial introduction post, and his lectures were easy to follow and not an absolute snore-fest. Quizzes, tests, and HW was all easy to follow as long as you take notes during lectures.

Brian is so funny and great! However, he assigns assignments like there is no tomorrow. Don't like writing papers? DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!! He gives a quiz after every lecture. He is sooooo funny tho so he's cool.

Brian Wagner has a lot of passion for what he's teaching, his lectures are so fun. This class is very independent, you are responsible for your own notes and notes are EVERYTHING! Beware of the study guides for the exams he may claim they are all encompassing but you need to study your notes as well.

Wagner is an incredible professor! He is very inclusive and accommodating. He makes sure to call out any myths/misconceptions about the religions. The textbook is optional you can do the assignments to boost your grade, but they're not required. Be prepared for a lot of jokes and amazing lectured! Also make sure to go on the field trip!!!

The book was not mandatory, mainly for extra knowledge, and can get extra points by doing the chapter homework's. Takes participation points, but gives different ways to earn them besides just asking questions in class. Organized set up and good lectures.

Brian really puts his passion into this class. Lectures are almost always widely expressive. His lectures are truly outstanding, and very entertaining, but in the educational manner.

I don't think he took attendance, but you couldn't get lecture material without coming to class. Brian Wagner is probably the best professor I have ever had. He made the class very interesting, and you can tell that he is genuine about his teaching and about the material. He does not require the purchase of a textbook, however, he recommends one.

Prof. Wagner is understanding and tries his best to make sure you understand what he's talking about. He is very passionate with what he does which makes the class enjoyable. Although learning one to two religions a week was hard, it was still manageable. Textbooks aren't required unless you do the homework which is optional but boost your grade.

They are all very easy as long as you take time to memorize. The chapter homework is optional and can boost your grade, but you may need the textbook for it.

I never skipped this class! Professor Wagner always makes lectures extremely interesting and you can clearly see how passionate he is about each religion and topic. He highly encourages class discussions and you can gain extra credit by earning extra participation points. The textbook is not mandatory and the homework is there to pad your grade.
