He's lab coordinater for my ep 155 lab...great guy
One of the best lab TA's
Nice job, helpful throughout. Great Lab Instructor.
The best TA ever. For damn sure.
Organized, helpfull, clear, cares about students
Great lab instructor.
This man is the nicest guy you will ever meet. Unbelievably clear, and gives help
Can't go wrong here. Although maybe TOO organized!
This guy is a lab god. Makes doing labs fun again.
Super Good Lab Guy
Great. A kind person.
he's such a good guy he dummy proofed the class for people like me.
GREAT PROF! INTERESTING AND CARING!
Great Lab!!!

EXCELLENT - you'll not get a Prof that is clearer or more committed to helping you learn the material. Fun demonstrations too!
Zulkosky is extremely nice and does a very effective job of teaching physics. He helps out so much. Its a difficult class but he makes it as easy as possible.
Easy class. Paid little attention and lost notes, and still got a 93. He's always willing to help. Exams are not very hard, except some of his multiple choice. Not exciting, but then what prof is?
He's good, but if you bring a calculator to his class that he didn't tell you to buy, you're hooped. And if you're asian, bring your translators and he'll kick your butt out of the midterm.
Very effective prof. If you need phys111 credits, he is the best prof to take the class from.
A very good lab instructor. Very helpful and he knows his stuff.
Excellent Prof. Very committed to teaching and helping everyone understand a difficult subject. Highly recommmend this prof when making class selections
Great Prof. Really cares about students. Willing to help. Good notes. Makes class as interesting as it can be. Is enthusiastic about topic and tries to engage students. Awesome.
very organized, good brushing skills. Good lookin man!, great artist.
if you have to take physics, make sure you take it with brian
Brian rocks! Neatest printing on campus.
Anyone needing to take physics should try to get him as a prof! He explains things so clearly and is always willing to re-explain. He brings demonstrations to class which make things more interesting and understandable. He is the best. No one could be better. ps. Yes, he is a good looking man.
Great prof! Definitely take physics from him if you can. Very helpful and does a lot of work for the class (even takes time to respond to all comments that you are requested to do). Very approachable. Brings lots of demos into class that provide a frame of reference that otherwise wouldn't be possible.
He's a really good prof, gives tons of examples and is always willing to explain things if you don't understand. It's a tough class though, so expect to work hard if you want a good mark.
Well well well, a decent physics prof, not only decent but EXCELLENT. This guy takes material that is quite difficult and changes it into terms that a grade school kid could understand. Very very effective with notes, problems, and even in class examples. Bravo, who could make physics so good.
This guy sucks, he teachs at such a baby of a level that it impeeds the preformance of average students, teachs so slow u feel like failing asleep. Swith to another class or ready to book!!! Or if ur a dumbass take this guy.
Makes everything very clear. His class is very organized, i always knew what to expect for class. Often he will get carried away and start changing formulas way to fast, he must keep in mind that students cant completely keep up to him on the board
This guy makes it seem more complicated than it really is. He takes the material breaking it down/deriving to much just adding confusion. If you are an average student take Robinson, much better prof. + he gives hints for the tests and just shows you what is important and what is not. Plus this just is a time freak. starts + ends perfectly.
This guy is GRRREAT! Clear presentations that will make even a pig to know how to use F=ma. I think the school should make him a heritage for the school. GO TO HIM WHEN YOU TAKE THIS CLASS!
Very helpful.
Great prof... Anyone taking Phys 111 should definitely take it from BZ!
Don't let his ocassionally-brusque answers to questions put you off. He explains things wonderfully, and a half-hour of work or less per evening will net you a great mark.
Very good teacher
B.Zulkoskey made me actually look forward to Physics. He was clear and concise in his explanations. His class and demonstrations were well organized and easy to understand. Anyone that is Afraid of physics should take his class. He is approachable if you are having questions and is willing to go over concerns one on one-I highly recommend him
lots of examples, makes difficult concepts clear and easy to understand

Prof Zulkoskey is an excellent teacher. He can be a little dry at times but that's the material more than anything. Physics was a prerequisite for me so I wasn't looking forward to taking it. However, Brian explains it clearly enough with great examples that you'll get through it. If you need to take Physics, I strongly recommend this prof.
Most organized prof I have ever had. He is very interesting to listen to and clearly loves physics. He is always available to answer questions and very helpful. Probably the best prof I have had at University.
Brian is a great teacher. He's really easy-going and has a fun attitude.

Wow. How did he make physics so easy? One of the best profs on campus without question. Lots of demonstrations, makes class enjoyable even though he doesn't crack many jokes! Highly recommended!!!
AWESOME PROF
The best professor I've had at the university by far! He is well organized, extremely helpful and he wants his students to do well! His exams are tough but fair and he marks generously. If your taking Physics, I highly recommend taking it with him!!
This prof is bloated by his reputation as a nice prof. His teaching is so boring and he is not explaining the material fair enough.
The reason why many students positively assessed prof. Brain Zulkoskey is that physics 110 is routinal activity. I myself witnessed how many students who can not do simplt multiplication got higher marks in the lab because they copied from each others and from previous material as the subject did not change for centuries.
Amazing prof! Very organized, easy to understand, and is always willing to help his students do well. He follows the text quite closely but if you attend class there is no reason to dwell on reading your book. Makes physics interesting - especially if you didn't want to be there in the first place.
Good! Explains stuff well and writes neatly too. You always know what's going on with the class because he reminds everyone often.
Brian is a great prof! He makes everything easy to understand and answers questions extremely well. I really enjoyed his class.
In spite of nearly failing physics, i still think that brian's the best. i started laughing really loud in the middle of his class one time because my buddy cracked a joke about compton scattering and brian didn't even care, he actually had himself a chuckle because i disrupted the whole class. brian's got some serious game too. he's the****.
Great prof! I did not want to take physics at all but I got through it no problem with Prof. Zulkowsky. Very organized and very clear in his explanations. He wants everyone to do well and is always available to help.
Best prof ever. Explains things really well. He takes time to bring demonstrations to class every single day which helps to understand things. They're pretty awesome too. If you're taking physics, go to Brian!
I am surprised this professor got so many good ratings. If you are someone who struggles in physics, instead of taking the time to help you himself, he will actually advise you to get help from his graduate students and that is not free ($20/hour). People did good in class probably because they had old assignments and lab reports.
Do not take Physics from anyone else. Such a helpful guy and wants everyone to succeed!
GREAT Professor! I have so much respect for him. He keeps physics comprehensible, and it's entertaining enough even though he doesn't joke. Awesome professor, is always helpful and professional! Take physics from him!
Professional instructor teaching a professionally-structured course. Very easy to ace if you attend class and do the problems. Makes most other first year science teachers/classes look absolutely terrible by comparison.
Amazing prof, perfectly clear in his explanations. Has a great interest in each of his students and is willing to help even if it isn't with his class material. Definitely my best prof this term.
One of the best first year prof's that i ever had. Do not take physics from anyone else.
Great Prof in every regard.
This is one of the best profs at the U of S!!!
Brian is the best! He gives you the opportunity to pass this class as long as you do the work and attend class. Even i passed! and I am terrible when it comes to physics.
Very clear in his explanations, had a lot of visuals to aid his teaching and mini experiments to keep you interested. The class was great.
Brian Zulkoskey is the BEST prof in the Physics department by far. If you have to take this class, make SURE you have him as your teacher. Rearrange your timetable if need be. I HATE physics and I didn't even mind it with this prof. I hardly studied for the midterm and still got 80 by going to his lectures, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!
Awesome prof, tries to make material interesting, uses lots of cool demonstrations. Fair exams and assignments. The class was actually sort of interesting!
The class is hard, and there is lots of work to be done, lots of marks that get lost. Labs, assignments, online quizzes and clicker questions. He is very helpful and such a great prof.
Great
Very good prof. Explains everything very clearly.
He is an amazing prof!! Extremely organized and speaks SO clearly. Makes things easy to understand and goes through class examples very well. Easily approachable and an extremely smart man. I would recommend him to any student, even if you don't like physics!!
one of my favourite prof in the university. I took both 115 and 117 with him. He's so helpful and explains things very clear. highly recommended! 115 is much easier than 117.
Just the greatest.
Excellent lab instructor. Turns Greek to English in no time at all. Makes me think he could explain second-year physics to high-school children. Very organized, perfectly clear and incredibly helpful, not to mention extremely kind on a personal level. Just keep listening and don't get on his bad side. Shouldn't be a problem if you're not thick.
Everything he says or writes on the board is with utmost precision and clarity. He is willing to spend any amount of time helping you with any problems you have with the course. Has an extremely subtle and witty sense of humour that he will use on you if you ask him a real stupid question
good prof! good explanations
Very helpful and approachable professor. Test questions are fair, and if you can do the examples in class will be fine on the tests.
Even though I had to drop his class cause my labs were awful he was wonderful and understanding. perfectly clear.
The best prof at the U of S by far. There is simply no other explanation, just look at the reviews. There is a reason why he is so highly rated. Put it this way: At the end of his last lecture for 117, we all gave him a round of applause for the exceptional quality he delivered in the course. No other prof gets this kind of recognition.
Brian is amazing. Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. He clearly loves physics, he knows exactly what he's talking about and most importantly he knows how to explain it to others. I would highly recommend taking any course from him you can.
This professor is as good as it gets for physics. The course itself is hard so obviously you need to work at it. I recommend practicing questions from the textbook cause that is what counts in the midterm and final. Use the tutorial time to ask questions cause he really helps clarify things.
Zulkoskey has this class down to an art-form, even down to the way he erases the blackboards before the beginning of the lecture. It doesn't matter if you need to or want to take first year physics, if you have the chance or choice to, take physics with him.
He is awesome. Prior to this class I had no understanding of Physics, and I still don't but that is not his fault. He is helpful, enthiastic, and honestly wants YOUR success. If you need/want to take a Physics class he is teaching, he is the man to see.
Good old Brian - I think everyone said what needs to be said. He is THE BEST! I went into physics with the worst attitude and after 2 semesters with him, was considering taking more! THANK YOU for being such a great teacher and mentor!
He is a very good prof. Very helpful, very kind and very smart. He makes the class so easy! TAKE HIS CLASS IF YOU NEED PHYSICS OR YOU WILL REGRET!!!!!
Very good prof.
Brian is a beautiful, meticulous lecturer. He obviously knows what he's doing, and I felt like I learned a lot in his class. That being said, his final exam didn't seem to correctly follow the course material. I feel like this was due to the combination of all three Phys classes into one umbrella final: leading to some problems with understanding.
Awesome prof!
Very good prof Physics is an extremely hard class to begin with for me anyways but he was very organized with his presentations and you could understand and hear every word he said. I would definitely recommend taking physics from this prof
He's a very dedicated man who does his job with great passion and is willing to help students if they need it. If you need physical examples of experiments he's got it. Uses the clicker for attendance so don't miss class as those are free grades. His classes were engaging and if you dread physics this is a spoonful of sugar
Best prof I have ever had! So fluent, so helpful. His lectures are beautiful (almost poetic). If you don't have physics with Brian DROP IT NOW, he is the only prof I would take physics with.
Brian is a very committed prof. He came to teach the day his son was getting married. Brian also wants his students to succeed and helps as much as possible, although he really doesn't like to talk about physics topics beyond the course material during his office hours. But overall, very helpful and he knows his stuff very well.
Very well organized professor, he is always there to help you.
Great Prof for physics, Super clear with the material and is more than knowledgeable in his teachings. Tests weren't super hard, but were fair. Make sure to look over old finals, many of the same questions, just different numbers.
Brian is the best professor I've ever had. He is organized, clear, and cares for his students. He is always open during his office hours to explain difficult concepts and responds promptly to emails.
Physics is a tough subject for me but he made is easier to understand. Always did lots of demonstrations which was great for understanding and remembering concepts. Well organized.
Gives lots of examples in class to better explain the material presented. Very clear in his presentations and what is expected of you. Would definitely like to have him as a professor in the future.
One word... Awesome 1010 recommend
Had him for both Physics 115117. He is amazing! Just do the textbook questions and old exams and you'll be good to go.
This guy simply brought education to another level. 1010. Received 95, 98 from PHY115, PHY117.
Mr. Zulkoskey was easily my favourite first-year prof even though I was not a fan of the courses. His lectures are very clear and he uses lots of examples and demonstrations that help keep the class interesting. The material is tough but if you keep up with the textbook it's no problem. If you're taking first year physics at U of S, he's your guy.
Very good prof, explains things very clearly in class and does a lot of demonstrations. Homework and tests are a bit difficult but if you just go over all of the old tests that he posts online you will be fine
Zulkowskey was one of my favourite profs this term. Mid term and final were marked fast and he would let us know on blackboard even before they were posted in the "my final grades" channel. He is super clear in explaining things and goes through examples well. This is not an easy course, but with him it was one of my highest marks.
BZ is an awesome prof. I would highly recommend taking first year physics classes with him. He uses clickers so you do have to go to lectures. If you miss a lab just go talk to him he will most likely give you another day to do it. Overall BZ is helpful, nice and good at explaining.
Good teacher
One of the best professors I have ever had in my first two years of university. Amazing choice for first year physics professor. I will be taking him next term in Phys 117 without a doubt.
Very professional and efficient.
He is very nit. You don't need to research about the course anymore. This is BZ, prob the best in UofS as far as I know.
Great prof, makes physics as interesting as possible. Very clear expectations. Physics requires a lot of effort but all the assignments he gives helps understand the material. Labs are hell but lectures are made fun with humour. There are many quizzes and assignments (both assigned and optional) each week (along with the lab). Very time consuming
Awesome prof! Was willing to meet with me one on one although he has many other students.
Great prof. Great explanations. Great class.
Super great prof! He is engaging and fun and makes the material really easy to understand.
Amazing prof. 10/10 would reccomend if you need to take Physics 115 or 117. Lectures are worth attending as they are interesting and helpful. Brian is extremely approachable and helpful as well. He is the definition of a great teacher
He made me love physics again. Honestly wouldn't take this class with any other prof. He is very good at explaining. If you email him doubts, he will respond back quite fast with detailed explanations. He makes sure you are prepared for the tests by hosting extra study sessions. His lectures may have gotten a little dull at times but he's great.
I loved how Brian taught, he was an outstanding professor. Things always made sense even when the content was very difficult because he is so good at explaining. He also seems to really care; he gets genuinely upset at himself when the class doesn't do well on top-hat questions, and always makes time to meet with you outside of class.
Best prof I've ever had hands down. I've always loved science but didn't connect with physics in high school. He made it exciting, so I rearranged my schedule to take his 117 class. Highly recommend!
Brian is very kind and cares about his students and will help you if you approach/email him. All his lectures are recorded and he posts the notes online but going to class is worth it because he is very entertaining
Physics isn't my favourite subject, but Brian made it interesting. He does a lot of examples and demonstrations in class that really help put the material in context. His use of TopHat is also very beneficial in understanding concepts and earning a few bonus marks.
Brian is an amazing prof! I did not do well in 115 but his teaching was very clear and I was able to understand topics much easier with his explanations. He is very accessible outside of class and does everything he can to make sure that his students succeed.
10/10 great prof. all of his examples are done on the board in class. is aware that most of the students in class were first years, and lectured in a way similar to high school teachers so that you could transition to uni lectures easily. was very easy to understand and didnt overcomplicate anything
He is a good prof, and cares about his students. He gives good examples and tries to make the information clear. Physics 115 itself just has lots of homework, so you don't really have time to do practice problems on topics you actually need help with.
Brian makes physics easier to understand. He gives clear examples and demonstrations, encourages participation in class, and will find a way to answer your questions that makes sense to you. Physics is a heavy course, however Brian makes it much easier to grasp.
Even in the midst of a pandemic, Professor Zulkoskey was able to run a lab class very successfully and keep everyone engaged. I had a great time in this class and would take more classes with him in the future
Brian is an amazing physics prof! I was terrified to take this class because I expected it to drop my average mark a whole lot, but I actually did a lot better than expected! Very fair tests and he is always ready to help He did a great job transitioning to online school during COVID.
He's a really excellent prof. He makes very detailed lesson videos that help with learning. The only issue is that the content is tough, so you need to put in the effort and try. But he is very kind and super chill too.
like many others taking PHYS115 I have been putting this course off for the last 2 years and finally decided I needed to get it done. I was expecting the course to drop my average more than it did... Just stay on top of the material!!! I cannot see how you could have a better instructor for such a heavy/time consuming course. BZ is great.
Professor Zulkoskey lectures were clear and concise. He was SUPER helpful. Physics is an extremely difficult class, but he was a very good professor. I'm taking his PHYS 117 next sem.
Best Prof I had my first semester. I made sure to get into his class again next term. 10/10 would recommend.
I took Brians class during covid (so online) and I was very happy with the way he ran is class. He gave notes and videos for each lecture ahead of time and hosted a zoom for questions and review during the scheduled time for physics. He is caring and extremely nice. 100% take his class again
explains things very clearly. expectations made clear.
Used lots of experiments in the classroom which made it super easy to follow along. Great prof
Great at explaining tough concepts and overall a very organized and well thought out course. The labs compliment the lectures really well, and I feel like I truly learned a lot (even though I despise the subject lol)
A truly talented educator. I have been dreading physics for the past 3 years and now that it's done I realize there really isn't anything to be afraid of if you take it with Brian.
I am convinced this man can teach quantum physics to a class of kindergarteners. His explanations are super clear, the experiments he does in lectures enhances your understanding even more and the exam questions are very easy and predictable since he will do relevant practice questions after every lecture. One of the best profs I've had at usask!
Class was taught using reversed learning, you had to watch lecture videos (50min+) then attend class (not mandatory but received extra credit for poll questions). He was great at explaining and willing to help you understand material, but this class was VERY time consuming and took away time that should have been spent on my 200/300 level classes
He was helpful, and made the material easy to understand through demonstrations and examples. However, this class was extremely time consuming. The reverse Iearning videos were longer than the actual class time, and on top of that there were the discussion classes to attend. It took away time to work on example problems and my higher level courses.
Brian provides lots of resources and really fun lectures. Putting in the effort to go through the videos he posts definitely helps. He explained concepts well and in a very straightforward way, also gave additional bonuses for in class participation quizzes. Would definitely take another class with him again, you can tell he really loves his job.
Brian defo has a lot of resources available for students. His teaching style is a little weird: he uses a flipped classroom to make sure every part of the material he's teaching gets covered, whether that is material or demonstrations. The downside is that there's a lot of time put into learning the material, don't fall prey to procrastination!
Professor Zulkoskey is a great professor, you can tell he really wants his students to succeed and provides plenty of extra resources. Although it was a very time-consuming class, professor Zulkoskey made a subject as difficult as physics as simple as possible.
Had him for Phys 156 labs. Explains things well and has the format for reports and what we r supposed to do well laid out
One of the kindest, most accommodating, and most skilled lecturers I have had the pleasure of learning from. Physics is a challenging subject, but Brian Zulkoskey does his best to ensure his students succeed. I appreciated his review session and prompt email responses. Also, loved how organized his class page was compared to most other courses.
The most amazing lecturer I've had. It's 'flipped classroom' so it does require lots of work outside of lectures but Brian explains everything as simply as he can. He is so willing to provide extra help in lectures with assignments and truly wants his students to succeed. If you aren't strong in physics I would only ever take Phys115/117 with him.
Very good at explaining the difficult material; flipped classroom makes the class very time consuming and demanding.
A great prof, challenging class! Professor Zulkoskey is a fair and caring professor even outside of class. I fell behind on the flipped classroom material at the end but as long as you understand all the equations on the formula sheet and do at least some of the practice exams, you can definitely do well! Also go to class for the 5% PollEverywhere!
