People are gonna say he doesn't teach when if you go to class he will stop his lecture to answer any question. (Plus no one ever goes to class anymore). Plus he actually cares,10/10 Luv him

Easily my favorite professor at UH! Great at teaching and makes topics enjoyable. The practice problems replace a low exam grade. I would recommend this class and professor to everyone!

(BUSI2305) If you're a person that struggles with math like me, Wiley has your back. He teaches well and makes the class fun. This is a great way to learn. Now the tests aren't easy but they aren't hard. You need to put in time to study but Wiley will be there to help you. I highly recommend him for stats. Ask him about his daughter algebra btw.

Professor Wiley is everything you want from a Math professor. His positive attitude keeps everyone's engagement high. He's lectures are absolutely worth coming to as he likes to answer anyone's question and making sure everyone can understand. Stats can be overwhelming but he honestly makes it look easy.

Great professor and gives interesting lectures on stats. He is a patient guy and really cares that you learn stats. Take possible bad reviews with a grain of salt cause a lot of people fail because they don't put in the work and do the HW and optional practice problems. Easy class to pass if you utilize the practice problems.

This is the first time I rate a professor and well Professor Wiley is a great professor. He cares about every student. I will recommend you to do all the practice problems since that help me with my grade at the end. He will replace your lowest exam with the average of your practice problems. Also do not miss any homework.

He's a great professor with high energy. If your someone like me that absolutely hates and is horrible with math I HUGELY recommend you to do ALL the practice problems to get a 100% on one exam grade. Do not miss a class because one lesson can leave you behind for the next chapter. He's great but you have to put in some work as well.

Dr.Wiley is a great professor. funny, smart and caring. Stats doesn't come naturally to me, but he simplified it and made sure it was clear. I would take this class again. He replaced the lowest test grade with practice problems that you can make a 100 on. Don't have to go to class but it genuinely helped me so much.

This class feels exactly like BUSI 2305 but easier and way more practical. Professor Wiley is direct and gets straight to the point. I like his delivery, and his videos are helpful. Reviews are exactly like the exams. He gives you 50 points on a test if you do all the practices. He's really good despite a few mistakes on his part. I recommend!

Look, I genuinely suck at math. But I promise, the people complaining about Wiley are salty they didn't get the grade they wanted. Wiley is an excellent and charismatic professor, way better than Patterson. This class is a weed-out but you get a fat curve, especially if you do his practice problems. He will not set you up for failure.

Professor Wiley always came to class with a positive attitude and was excited to teach us. STAT3331 isn't an easy class and does require a lot of studying but Wiley gives you the tools to do well in this class and it's up to you to decide how much effort you want to give for this class. Do your practice problems and homework for a good grade.

We had 3 exams (not comprehensive) and homework due every 2 weeks. There are a lot of optional practice problems which is added to the lowest exam, so do it. He provided practice exams for every exam which are extremely helpful too. You will ace this class if you pay attention to his lectures and do everything I listed. Overall, amazing professor!

He is a great professor whose lectures are very entertaining. STAT's in general is hard, but he did his best to make it easier and fun! Do the extra credit as it will help get a better grade in the class! The tests are hard, but just pay attention and watch his videos to help! TAKE HIM!!

Really great professor, he tries to keep class interesting despite the subject being math... He interacts A LOT with the class in attempts to keep everyone engaged. Super nice and easily available. The class is HARD though so you have to REALLY try. 20 pt curves every exam.

Lectures are heavy but tests are pretty much easier than lectures. REMEMBER to do the review and watch his exam review videos. I knew nothing before an exam but I got B+ thanks to the reviews. They're super close to the exams. Long and confusing Cengage homework, they don't quite flow with the lectures. A lot of Excel homework, no procrastination.

This review is not fabricated it is genuine. he is a really good professor and is very helpful. The class is a bit tough but reviews are like the exam and u start with a 20 on every exam so a 20 point curve. It is hard but professor is not bad at all , everything is doable by paying attention!

He genuinely makes class enjoyable. Lectures are posted online but it's not the same.There's a 20 point curve just by showing up to the exam and he'll give up to 50 points on your lowest exam if you complete all the practice problems correctly.

Hes chill just have to actually do the work and having a good base from 2305 really helps you excel in this class. Put in plenty of time to get a good grade. Lecture videos help when working on the homework and doing the practice problems before the homework will give you a better understanding of the material.

This professor honestly loves teaching, however his material is very difficult but manageable if you put in the work. His grading point system is fair with an addition 50 pts to ur lowest exam grade and his grading system is different so you could end the class with a B- with a point range of 75-77!

He's an amazing professor and actually cares about his students. He makes this difficult course for college student's fun to attend, and even though the course material is difficult, he tries his best to engage his students and not allow them to feel like they're wasting their time attending the lectures. He is truly an amazing professor.

The class was hard but Prof. Wiley gives all the resources needed to pass. He gives in-person lectures as well as recorded mini-lectures and powerpoints. The review is similar to exam. the exam questions are straightforward without long weirdly worded paragraphs. Would definitely recommend!

Dr. Wiley has been a professor that exceeded my expectations. He cares for his students and gives many extra credit opportunities. There were practice problems that really helps to prepare you for the tests (which have an automatic 20 pt. curve). He knows the material is hard so he does his best to help you as much as possible.

Overall Professor Wiley was a pretty decent professor in my opinion. However the content is really challenging and each class is compact with a bunch of new units (so missing class will lead to you struggling). I will say it is in your best interest to do every practice problem, it will help so much in the end when it comes to final grades.

His lectures were never boring as he tries to keep them entertaining. Yes, it is a tough class if you start falling behind for too long but the lecture videos are online to go back and review. Do your practice practice problems because they are technically bonus points for your lowest test grade and they will save you at the end of the semester!

Funny professor and good at his job. He goes pretty fast during lectures so its up to you to keep up with material. As long as you do all of your practice problems and homework you should get a decent grade in the class. One of my favorite professors I've taken! This isn't an easy course, but there are lots of resources to help learn the material. Make sure to do as many practice problems as possible, they're extra credit but they help a lot. Wylie is charismatic and tries to make every class enjoyable considering we are learning math lol

This class is probably the hardest math class I have taken in my life, however that is due to the content and not the teacher, Prof Wiley is pretty straightforward with his recommendations and always sends good timed reminders for stuff that needs to be taken care of.

This course is very straightforward. You will learn about statistics with business applications. With that being said, the class is exam heavy but it is balanced out with a LOT of extra credit. Like 50 points on the final exam. I made an A pretty easily, but a lot of students struggled because their math wasn't up to par before taking the class.

The professor is caring and engaging, but statistics requires a lot of practice and effort. Commitment and tutoring can get you a C or higher grade. Extra credit is available through practice questions. I'd recommend him anytime. He has recordings of all the class material so you can always go back if you're confused. Practice Practice Practice!!!

This is not an easy class. Exams indeed are 90% of your overall grade, and homework is only 10%. If you do the practice problems, it can boost your lowest exam. Study the exam reviews along with the practice exams for tests. Overall, put in your effort and you'll get a good score.

As a finance major already taking my major classes alongside this class, the difficulty of this class is a taste of what you can expect in the more advanced classes. The Excel content is stuff you will actually use, but some of the material is difficult for no apparent reason. The classes don't get easier from here. Easy to pass, hard to get an A.

He's one of the best professors I've ever had, but the class grading criteria are the hardest to live up to. Classes are energetic but the grading criteria for the test are so hard that if you do all the homework and practice problems, you'll pass the class with a D but tests are the "biggest grade categories".

He's a good teacher, class is not hard as long as you put some effort. I played tetris every class and got an A.

I didn't attend a single lecture. He posts everything online, and 3 in-person CASA tests account for 90% of the grade. Exams are 20 questions each, all multiple choice. He also gives a significant amount of extra credit. It's a pretty straightforward class.

Very test heavy but lots of extra credit. The class isn't all that bad, but you will have to work hard if you want an A. First two exams are pretty challenging but the third is really really easy. Wiley doesn't teach the best, but its a hard class. You'll get through it if you put the work in.

Dr Wiley does go a bit quick but that is because he has too much material he needs to cover in a small time frame. Professor Wiley was a decent instructor, but there's a lot of material covered in a short timeframe. The class is challenging, so I highly recommend completing all available extra credit assignments (plan ahead) and attend tutoring sessions as soon as possible. Honestly im not even that smart and i have an A+, for those that be having like C's and D's ya'll arent studying enough. Make sure you study a lot and do practice exams and do your independent research. It was not a hard class, it just takes time to learn material. So even if mad isn't your thing you can still pass. This class is sooooo easy.

From day one, Dr. Wiley laid out the things that are needed to succeed in this class, his guidelines are firm but fair. He's always open to questions and doesn't just 'read off the slides'. If you put in the work, you'll get through this class fine. Ignore the negative reviews, he has a great personality and genuinely wants his students to succeed!

This class is easier than BUSI 2305. Please do the practice problems and homework they help out at the end! The tutors are also good. The lectures are just info-dump sessions, but other students DO ask good questions (recommend you attend). I wish he worked more in-class examples. Overall, good professor.

Difficult material, unless you are a math prodigy or have the accessibility to study all the time, then you'll be fine. Took this class 2 times, and will have to take it again at HCC. It's not my proudest moment, but the curriculum is very difficult. Loved the prof, great energy during class!

Business stats is a difficult class. However, this is not the fault of Wiley. His lectures are well-paced and good at informing. He also posts short versions of them on canvas so you can easily catch up. He provided a lot of extra credit as well.

Great professor! Try to get a high score on the first test; the next 2 are much harder in my opinion. Even if you don't understand anything, do the practice problems anyway. Ignore the 10% grade weight of homeworks, they're actually worth less than the extra credit from practice problems. Prioritize practice problems over hw if deadline is close.

Study and you'll be completely fine. Do the practice problems and the survey at the end of the course for extra credit on your lowest test. Personally, I had a fun time learning in this class.

The best professor I've had at UH, I finished with my first B but you can finish with an A. Took his class in the summer so it was accelerated while also working and taking another class. He explains very well and his lectures are easy to follow. His notebook is well-structured and it has everything you need to study. The practices are optional but doing it helps you practice and understand the material much better, plus it is extra points. HWs are not too hard. Do the practice exam because it is very similar to the actual exam.

Be prepared to spend time in this course. Unless you are some wizard, they're are no shortcuts to learn the curriculum. The professor provides practice exams, I recommend using them to your advantage. They aren't exact replicas of the exams but they prepare you so well. Wiley is a great professor.

Easy class & light work. Go to lectures since his videos are fast and he explains better in-person. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT + PRACTICE EXAMS! USE EXCEL FOR THE ASSIGNMENTS! Those will help a lot with understanding the materials and prepare you for the exams. Grading scale is very generous plus there's extra credit. Great lectures and he is very nice.

Don't let the bad reviews get to you. The class was pretty easy. HW and practice problems are essentially the same thing and can mostly be completed using Excel. I never took any practice exams, but I did very well on all three actual exams. Attendance isn't mandatory but I recommend going as he teaches better in person.

Honestly, based off these reviews i put this class off for a semester...but it's much better than 2305. Not a huge fan of stats just had to suck it up. Personally helped to know the vocabulary because you can put the meaning behind the processes learned in lecture. Take preliminary notes before lecture, add to them during. Not a bad class

Stats is a hard class, you have to put in time to make a good grade. Wiley is a good professor and is readily available during his office hours. Going to tutoring is important and it will help you. This class is fast paced and easy to fall behind in, get help when you need it not right before the test.

Dr. Wiley is chill and lectures go fast. The class is hard, and tutoring is basically required to pass. Exam 1 is mostly BUSI 2305 review. Exam 2 is the hardest. Exam 3 is easier to pass but harder to score high. Exams are 90% of the grade. Curve is small. Practice problems can add up to 25 points. I got a 96.
