Professor Doss is awesome. She is hilarious yet she gets her point across. She is very fair when she grades papers and assignments. She's an excellent teacher.

She was very energetic and you could tell she loved to teach. You can earn a ton of extra credit points and can revise papers to bring p your grade in the class. If you want a good teacher and a good grade go with her!

GREAT prof! I've never enjoyed writing papers but she made them as painless as possible. Was able to write about whatever you wanted! She is very sweet and allowed plenty of time to complete papers! TAKE HER CLASS!

This class was great. She basically split the class in half in order to make everyone more comfortable on discussion days. The tests are really easy and she is really good at making everyone feel comfortable. You have one project grade and no papers! She also grades really easily on tests.

She is a sweetheart. Truly understanding,kind, and helpful.I'm an ESL student and I can't recommend a better teacher for a student like me. But she didn't do good on grading our stuff in time. It was almost the final and we finally found out our grades. But overall she is a great professor. She likes what she is doing. So she makes her best at it.

Lovely lady and TOP PROFESSOR. She gives plenty of time to do writing assigments. If you have issues writing, this class is for you. She makes sure that you understand the writing process. Thanks to her, I have conquered my fear of writing. I've learned a lot in this class. I would definitely recommend her.

She's pretty cool. Anything we don't talk about in class is posted on announcements in the beginning of the week. We have plenty of time for any and all assignments. Having writing teams is pretty fun too. She even tells us where to find people that can help us on our essays, we only have 4, if we get stuck or just need an eye to revise them.

Crystal clear teacher makes learning the material extremely easy! She's great with her use of communication outside of class as well. Highly recommended!

She's one of the sweetest teachers ever. I took the hybrid class, and it was super easy. She gives you more than enough time to write your papers (there are only three). All quizzes and tests are online, including the final, which is open book!

Summer hybrid course was great! One major essay two other essay type assignments leading into the major one. Book work and a book to read with discussion questions. Great class and prof. If you do the work it is an easy A.

She was my favorite professor this semester. She was always willing to help you, and she is really nice. I took her hybrid class, and even though they aren't for me, it was fairly easy. We used 3 books, and had to write 4 major essays. I thoroughly enjoyed her class, and I'm disappointed I couldn't get her for 1102. I highly recommend her!

BEST english professor ever!! if your a terrible writer like me you will love her. she grades super easy and doesnt make you use big words in your essays. we had 4 or 5 essays that were at the most 4 to 5 pages long. I loved this professor and would absolutly recommend her if your looking for an easy A. I'm taking here again for 1102.

Awesome professor! I hated writing till i got into her class. I took her as a hybrid. Online discussions that are graded for completion and quizzes you have two chances to complete. Very helpful and knows her stuff!

Someone spammed her page, which is why her rating is so low. Great teacher. I took the hybrid class: 3 papers, little quizzes and discussions online. Always offers to help in her off time. Posts weekly videos on youtube so students are up to date on what they need to be doing outside of class. Final is just all of the quiz questions in one exam. A+

she's very goofy and it can be kind of distracting but the class was very easy. u just have to be organized and keep up with all the deadlines.

I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS PROFESSOR. This is a very easly class. The papers assigned are very easy. She doesn't grade harshly and allows late work without taking points off (even though she says she takes points off) She is very understanding if you must miss class. Easy Easy A!

I highly suggest you take this class for hybrid!!! As long as you do the few papers and the writing responses and online quizzes you'll make an easy A. She is a great, laid back, and funny teacher.

I took this class online and Ms. Doss was awesome. The only problem I ran into was the calendar was a little mixed up in the beginning and I ended up missing an assignment which probably ended up me getting a lower grade. However, I really learned a lot and I did enjoy her taking her class. I highly recommend taking her.

Ms. Doss was a great professor. I took her hybrid class. The 3-4 textbooks she says you need, you don't. All the essays in them can be found online. Weekly assignments and 4-5 essay. Very sweet and nice lady! Not very responsive to emails but if you talk to her in person she will help you with anything you need!

Very nice teacher, makes class somewhat fun. Very easy A, I recommend taking the hybrid class, only meet once a week and everything's turned in online. Very convenient! Only downside is she seems to get behind on grading essays and she sometimes gives bad writers good grades out of sympathy.

I took Dr. Doss's class online. Very easy class if you try your best on the essays and do all of your assignments. Your essays all revolved around the same research topic (which you choose), so it makes writing a little easier. The downside is she seems to be disorganized and gets behind while grading. Other then that, I recommend you take her.

Take the hybrid class. She is very clear and her assignments are not difficult. All her quizes are online and questions are right out of the book. You need to buy the books because you do use them. I would take this class again in the future.

Took online class, very very easy as long as you do your work. No tests or finals. A few quizzes on assigned book, discussions, exercises from textbook, and several papers focused on one research topic. 7-10 page paper is considered final. As long as you are comfortable with writing a lot, this is an easy class!

I'm taking her hybrid class and she is great! She is extremely sweet and her assignments are pretty easy and you will be successful if you just keep up...which is very easy to do. Overall, I recommend her for 1101 for sure!

Dr. Doss is a great professor for English. There is a weekly folder of assignments and you spend all semester focusing on one paper. She is very helpful and understanding. I definitely recommend her, if you're willing to work.

As a hybrid class, there are assignments for every week. She is outgoing and a very sweet teacher but takes a good while to get back to emails so try and ask in person. Not much of a tough grader and assignments are well explained. Just do the work and you should be good. The essays are not bad! She lets you choose the topic you're interested in.

This was a great class for me. Mrs Doss is by far the best english teacher I've ever had and if you have the chance to take her you should. You will get a good grade if thats what you desire. She helps students to their fullest potential.

One of my favorite teachers. I made an A in my first Lit class (hybrid) and took the second online. During the course I ended up having a schizophrenic break, but since I didn't have a diagnosis yet I couldn't get accommodations through the school. She worked with me and I was able to finish the class with a C. I will always appreciate her for that

What a great person. Very kind, helpful, and understanding professor. Work consists of reading and providing discussion posts for The Tipping Point (read by many business professionals) and tons of writing assignments that will feed into a research paper (topic of your choosing). Not a tough grader but you have to keep up with the work.

Professor Doss is one of the nicest, most understanding teachers I've come cross. She is willing to help you understand the material, work with you if a problem arises, and cares about her students. This was a hybrid class and had a lot of work, but I learned a lot and was successful.

Every assignment leads up to the research paper as well as a final research project. Final paper is 10 pages double spaced in MLA format which may seem like too much but after everything you have done all semester, it is not that bad. Very easy grader and gives great feedback on assignments.

I think she is by far one of the most helpful professors I have had. I am taking her class online and she will have Skype meetings with me to talk about anything that I don't understand. I have missed a few assignments and she let me turn them in late and gave full credit. I missed the date for the submission for extra credit and she still let me.

Yes, she assigns a great deal of work each week, but she is very helpful. If you ever have a question, she is more than willing to help you. Nicest professor that I have ever had. I would take her again. Do not procrastinate in her class.

I had this professor for Engl 1101 and 1102. Writing is not my strong suit, yet the way she has designed her class really makes the end papers easy to write. Her lectures are well informed, she texts and responds quickly and doesn't make you feel like an idiot for asking a question. LOVE this professor!

One of the nicest teachers Ive had, I took her online class and she was amazing. Really cares about her students. Theres a lot of papers, but their not too hard because she lets you submit a rough draft into peer review before the final is submitted, so that you can get feed back. I reccomend this class if you need to take engl1102.

I had Professor Doss for ENGL 1101 and 1102 online. I am a non-traditional student and work full time. By creating weekly videos to go over the coursework, concise instructions within D2L, accessibility for questions, and passion about the subject matter, Professor Doss made the online learning experience extraordinarily enjoyable!

Professor Doss is a truly great professor. You can tell she really cares about her students. The work in her class isn't very difficult and she gives you plenty of time and resources so you can get the best possible grade. If you don't understand something she is quick to respond and help you out.

Took professor Doss summer online ENG 1102 and it was great! Easy to reach she provides her personal cell number to text or you can email her. Several essays however, she provided video explaining what she wants and how and provides examples. You wont be disappointed, essay A, just follow directions!

This was my first online class and I made an A. Prof. Doss is the best! She is very helpful, always available, and wants you to succeed. Her online class has no textbooks, and her exam questions are hilarious! One of our final exam questions: "Rick Astley will never...a) give you up b) let you down c) run around d) all of the above" :-)

Lots of reading and papers, but nothing crazy (even with my FT job and four kids). Gives thorough feedback, but it doesn't always line up with the grade you receive. I had points deducted on a couple of papers, but her feedback didn't explain why, which can be frustrating when you're trying to improve. Great lectures, great D2L setup.

She's so so sweet! Definitely taking her again for english 1102. She really cares about her students and their success and is so caring and helpful. She doesn't expect too much from her students, so she was always impressed when you work hard. She is clear about what she wants and will go out of her way to make sure you understand.

She is really helpful when you need more explanation on an assignment. Whenever you email her she responds very quickly. The assignments aren't too hard. If you follow the rubric you will get an A on every assignment.

Seriously the best online 1102 class. Super nice and helpful when you have questions. Uses an interactive online book. Only have 1 research paper and other assignments related to it (annotated bib, topic proposal...) very generous grader. Very easy to make an A. Definitely recommend. Really easy quizzes no webcam/ lockdown. Other small assignments.
