Professor Rogers is one of the best math teachers and math isnt my strongest subject. Shes very patient and goes over eveything step by step and makes math easier. If you go to the lab and get a sign in sheet she gives extra credit, You should definetly take her.
GREAT teacher.. Very easy to understand and she just has a great personality. In case you want to find more reviews on her check for the name Bridget Henderson (Same person, she just changed her last name since she's married now.) Although she does give homework, she also gives many opportunities for extra credit. Highly recommended!!
Professor Rogers is the perfect math professor. She turned this C student in math into an A. I have never taken a math course where the professor had such charisma. Helped the class move along and made it easy to pay attention and learn.
Ive have always been one to struggle in math, I took her for intermediate and algebra and received A's. She is very clear with her teaching, only need to complete 70% of homework for 100%. . DO THE EXTRA CREDIT TEST REVIEWS FOR EXTRA POINTS ON TESTS!! Tests are just like the review tests. I wish I could take her for every math! She's funny too.
I always struggled with math. She is very clear, and an amazing teacher. She would be worth the drive to the Boca campus.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PROFESSOR!!!! I would take her for every math class if I could. She offers extra credit and wants you to pass. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! If you're not so great at math it helps your grade tremendously. You won't regret taking her or be stressed out, you'll be so happy you did!
SHE'S AMAZING! I loved her so much and would take her for every math course possible. She's very clear and easy to understand, she won't move on to the next subject unless EVERYONE understands it. She wants everyone to pass! Gives many extra credit opportunities. Do your hw, study before the test, and you should get an A! Awesome teacher 3
Professor was very nice and helped students with homework and study guide test questions. Tests were very similar to study guide. I would recommend to take this professor. I took her for survey of calculus.
Very great math professor. I took her for developmental all the way to college algebra and I've recommended her to everyone. She has great lectures that get posted to her website so the notes are always there. She gives partial credit for doing the work on tests, and will NEVER make you feel dumb, no matter what question you ask.
Many people liked her, me personally she is way too fast when teaching. She leaves her work that she did that day online, but you kind of have to teach yourself. Her tests are all done by hand and very hard.
Not tough at all just make sure you study the subject expect a quiz of 4-5 questions of the first 2-3 sections of every chapter you get into and the practice test are similar to the test itself the only bad part is web assign but if you email her for help shell get back to you in a reasonable amount of time
Professors real good she grades fair and gives extra credit towards your test. At the the end she drops the lowest test grade. I recommend this class youll pass if you show up and do your homework
Professor Rogers is an excellent instructor. Lots of personality and sets you up for success. Would take her again for the other classes she teaches!!!
Really nice and clearly states her expectations. Posts notes online and has her own website. If you don't come to class and pay attention you will struggle. Extra Credit is offered if you go to the math lab, which I have spent many hours there this semester.
She is wonderful. To the point, explains everything very clearly, is very patient, and is easy to pay attention to. The second week, I didn't know we had a test, and I got a 47%. I showed her a good effort the rest of the semester, and it did not go unnoticed. She has the students' learning, success, and best interest at heart.
knows her stuff, breaks it down that it is easy to understand. will help you a lot. her power points are a must have to take notes and a great study guide. exams are hard, but if you do HW it will help a lot. she is always willing to help after class and puts great reviews.
Awesome teacher. I took her for Trig and i got a 86 but ONLY because i started to slack off. But if i tried i could of gotten an A. But she explains everything and as long as you do the homework, which is not graded, and study the practice test.... You will be FINE! The quizzes also helps with upcoming test.
You need to take this professor if you need this class! She's really funny, tech savvy and respects her students. She posts all the lectures on her site so it's not the end of the world to miss a couple classes but it's good to be there. She's not a harsh grader but she needs to see you know what you're doing. Extra credit is also available.
Very nice woman, but I didn't enjoy the pace she went with her notes nor how she barely showed you how'd to get the answer. The tests only have a couple of multiple choice answers and if you don't show work, she gives no credit so that was a real bummer.. Although, she's caring, I wouldn't suggest this class to anyone who has a hard time with math.
Great professor if you struggle with math she really breaks it down and helps you understand! I highly recommend her class for any math credit!
She is a very friendly likable prof. but unfortunately she does teach very fast. She does not provide many examples so you do have to do your homework in order to do well. She will post all the notes online but they can be unclear. Her tests weigh very heavy but they can be very difficult. Not recommending to someone who has difficulty with math!
Very tough teacher and difficult to keep up with.
Shes a great teacher and offers plenty of extra credit. Has her own website which she updates with notes from class and all around a nice lady. I highly recommend this class
I wouldn't say her class is easy, but it's not the hardest class ever.. I would recommend you do her study guides for her tests (similar to the actual tests) and I'm sure you'll do fine. She's very kind, and obviously cares for her students. She gives extra credit if you go to the SI sessions. I would probably take her again :)
if you don't show work, no credit. The notes barely shown any work so sometimes I couldn't figure out how to do the problem.. she's very nice.. but i would say you have to really put in effort to get a good grade (B or higher) in her class.
Took class online. 4 tests that should be taken at the testing center worth 100 points. I literally took the review for each test about 4-8 times because they are almost IDENTICAL to the tests! There is a lot of HW and a quiz at the end of each section; just do not wait until the last minute! Double check due dates always, she's not clear on that!
Listen, her class is NOT HARD. Seriously. She's an amazing teacher. You need to show up and be willing TO LEARN. You must come prepared with the notes and keep up with the homework. This is such an easy class if you just study, pay attention and do the homework.
Absolutely Amazing Professor. She has her own lectures on her website and gives student practice tests. While the material might be heavy, she gives the student all the tools and opportunity to succeed. Very organized and excellent at explaining. The more work you put in, the better your grade will be. Don't be lazy.
Show up to every class and take notes. Homework is not mandatory but if you do it after each class, it will be a breeze and easy A. dont skip classes, itll be hard to understand how to do some of the work. Extra credit given if you go to the free tutoring !! totally worth it
Professor Rogers is not the worst teacher, but she was a mess. Oftentimes she would come unprepared, come offtrack, and not even know how to explain some things. She makes it very hard to understand extremely simple concepts; however, she does post the notes online which makes it easy to get the A as long as you study. Not for those weak with math.
I only had her once, as she was our substitute. I didn't understood nothing of her whole lecture... She was a mess, she wrote half things on the whiteboard and some other on the screen; I wasn't even able to take notes. Big difficulty in explaining simple things ; thus, I had to ask our regular professor to explain everything again.
By far one of the best math professors I have had. She has her own website which includes guided notes to use in class and she also uploads practice tests that are exactly like the actual tests just less questions and different numbers. She definitely made math seem like something I could actually understand. I highly recommend taking her class!
Best math teacher!!! I SUCK at math, but with her, I would get A's on my quizzes and tests! She is amazing!!!! DEF TAKE HER, ESPECIALLY IF YOU SUCK AT MATH LIKE ME
Shes really amazing!!! Shes helpful with things you dont understand. The practice test reviews before tests are always just like the actual tests. She gives extra credit for going to tutoring and points for doing the practice tests. Her teaching style is very clear. The best professor I ever had.
This professor teaches for people who are quick learners and really good at math. She crams 6 sections into a few days and doesn't explain everything. She tends to ramble off and confuses you. Half of the class dropped/withdrew because of how horrible the class is. Just don't take her your'e better off.
She was a great teacher. Her tests were pretty easy. If you pay attention, you can get A easily.
The best math teacher Iv'e ever had and up there with best teacher I've ever had. Explains and walks through the problems really well. She's really funny and kept me interested through out the whole course
Professor rogers is a great professor who wont hesitate to help with any problems you may have in the course. assigns lots of homework but she'll give extensions
Not recommended if you are weak in math. She gives quizzes that are worth 25 points that are only a few questions so if you get one wrong it significantly effects your grade. And she is a very tough grader. Test questions are worth 5 points each but if you make a small mistake she takes off 4 points.
Took this professor for college algebra over the summer course and i gotta say, out of all the math professors I've taken so far she is the bee's knees! Every lecture we go over in class is posted on her website for your viewing pleasure as well as every practice test! Drops lowest test grade with whatever grade you get on your final which is nice
Took this professor for college algebra in the fall term. Her lectures were very confusing and her tests had NOTHING to do with what she taught. She drops the lowest test grade but you practically have to teach yourself all the material.
Definitely do not recommend this professor. Teaches extremely fast. Takes several points off for little mistakes. Some of what she teaches is not even on her tests. Only makes her tests 15-25 questions making it harder to pass.
Familiarize yourself with excel, utilize the practice tests, take advantage of extra credit opportunities and complete the homework.
You won't be disappointed with this professor. Clear topics, plenty of practice, many opportunities to make up lost time.
Best math teacher I've ever had. loved that she was good with technology. made it very easy to work with and loved i could go back and look at the notes from the classroom. she is a very knowledgeable professor and is great at teaching math. I also love her sense of humor, it is a nice touch!
She is by far the best math professor I have ever had. She is very clear cut on her style of grading and teaching. I really appreciated her dumbing down the concepts in Pre-Calc. She teaches very effortlessly, remember she wants you to succeed!! Just make sure to attend and class be there mentally & you should receive a good grade.
She is not awful but she can be a challenge if you are not able to actually try and keep up with her. She provides you with her own notes. Make sure you ask her what will & will not be on quizzes/exams. Sometimes even random classwork assignments make it onto her quizzes/tests. Her reviews are up to 72 possible questions for only a 20 question test
If you're doing bad in her class, you're probably not good at math, and need more practice. She has always dumbed things down for people who don't understand. Everything that's on the tests can be found on the practice test, so if you know how to do the practice test you'll be able to do the real test. The homework was a lot and useless.
I love Professor Rogers! I always try to take her math courses and wished she'd have more of them to take. If any student has a problem with her or her class it's because they did not put in the time to learn.
she is an extremely easy teacher, as long as you pay attention a little bit as well as just show up to class. The homework she gives is entirely online and is a little bit tedious, but when the tests roll up, she gives out a study guide composed of 50 question of which, she picks 20-25 of those exact same questions. she is very understanding also.
Professor Rogers is a wonderful professor. I have always struggled with math, and this course was no exception. But she didn't make it any harder than it had to be, and she was always open to answering questions.
Gives partial credit on tests. Each unit has a test, a quiz and a homework assignment. I took survey of calc and it was extremely difficult but she is such an amazing professor. She drops the lowest test grade and occasionally curves. Very responsive to emails, very helpful
Professor Rogers is hands down the best math professor I have ever had. She is so thorough when teaching new lessons and will not move on until everyone understands. She gives very minimal homework and tests. Shes very relatable and makes learning fun! Would recommend 100000%!!!
LOVED HER. Made everything SO easy. Broke it down, thoroughly. Extra credit if you go to SLC. So organized & posted all her notes. Study guides had similar questions as test. Im bad at math and did them and got 100s on every test. WORTH IT! HW was MyMathLab and was tedious but helpful. Just keep up with it and its not bad. 4Tests, 4HW.
I've taken her 2 times now and am never disappointed. Its easy to get an A if you pay attention and do the practice problems. You do have to study though. Study guides exactly like test. Drops lowest test grade (including final). Her notes are easy to follow. Must purchase MyMathLab but it helps a lot with understanding. Definitely take her!
Do not take this professor if you work alot. this class has a lot of homework. Wonderful professor but way too much work, you will think that you have time to get it done but it is alot.
She's a really great teacher especially if you struggle with math. She goes step by step on how to do things and will answer any of your questions. She drops the lowest test score and replaces it with your final exam grade, which saved my final grade. She's also super nice but make sure to participate
College Algebra online was a challenge, I am not someone who does well with math to begin with, and having to do it online bc of covid is why I received my first C in my entire life. The lives were not mandatory and she recorded them, clear syllabus, 4 tests and one final, lowest grade dropped. If you put in the effort you will be just fine!
Professor Rogers is the best math professor I've had so far! She's an amazing professor that thoroughly explains all the topics. She's very helpful if you don't understand something or need extra help. Her practice tests were very helpful as the tests are very similar! 10/10 would take again.
10/10 would recommended having Professor Rogers as a teacher. She does an amazing job at explaining the material. And she makes sure to ask if anyone has questions. She has such a nice energy and doesn't ridicule people if they have a "dumb" question.
Very easy class to pass if you do the homework and study for the tests. She also requires you to attend a tutoring session for a small grade for every test. I took her last semester and this semester shes a great teacher!! There is a lot of homework but it helps with your grades.
Through the semester there are 4 exams, one per lesson. The final exam is optional, it can replace one of the other exam grades. The math lesson are live on zoom but are posted later on in the course to be viewed again, which is helpful. The professor is great at explaining the lesson and at giving feedback.
Had her for MAC1105 (B+) and MAC1140(A-). She gives 4 unit tests and a final and drops the lowest test grade out of the 5. Makes you go to the tutoring sessions which is kinda lame but it does help. Does test reviews and lectures are very helpful if you pay attention. Don't wait till the last minute do the HW because it takes a while to do.
This was my first math class I ever took online and it was also the highest level, so to say I was nervous was an understatement. Professor. Rogers was everything I needed and more ! All her lectures have been recorded and are accessible at all times. She does a terrific job breaking down difficult concepts as well as goes at a good teaching pace.
This professor is the bomb! I took this class online only and she gives you ways to get extra credit if you need it, you will need the book/website and you will get your grades back ASAP. She also answers her emails, which is a plus for me because I've had professors that do not answer my emails back until after.
Professor Rogers is a great teacher and her lectures simplified difficult concepts. There's a lot of homework, expect to spend from 1- 2hrs. She does not allow redo's. I would not recommend this class for people who have a busy schedule. I had a lot of free time, so I ended with an A+ but it is very easy to pass her class.
Prof. Rogers is a great Professor with a deep knowledge of Mathematics. Because of her I have found an appreciation for math. The class was challenging but I have found that because of the challenge, that I want to do more math and become better at it. Please take her as a teacher, you will not regret it.
Your grade depends on how well you do on her exams, and how well you do on the exams depends on if the notes you take are any good or not. Take good notes, take full advantage of your graphing calculator, relatively easy A. Professor Rogers is very kind, too. She requires you to go to four tutoring sessions, they are easy points, go to them.
She is so kind and explains the topics very well. The exams and homework are very easy as well. Overall, she was a fantastic prof.
Explains things pretty well. Overall good professor
I took Professor Rogers' trigonometry course and she was incredible! Just posts lectures, 20-25 question hw assignments, and module exams which are only about 25 MC questions (also provides optional practice tests which are incredibly helpful, as she uses the same format questions on the real exams) I highly recommend her!!!
She gives extra credit and has helpful practice tests; she has a full schedule on when things are due and when to expect exams, which helps you plan for the future and be prepared. Exams are like 20-25 questions. I took her course through Zoom; we did take the exams at the testing centers. I would recommend her practice. It made math fun, easy.
I'm an adult learner and I passed this class with such a high grade due to the professor. Good education depends on good educators and they're hard to find. I took this course online over the summer, which means faster paced, and it was still enjoyable. Professor Rogers has a good sense of humor, is fair, and also gives extra credit opportunities.
Professor Rogers makes math very easy! Her lectures are easy to follow and her explanations are great. She is very welcoming to questions. She encourages you to go to tutoring (doing extra is extra credit). She provides practice tests which are pretty much the exact test, if you study, you will pass. She drops the lowest test which is great!
I took her course in summer so it was fast paced but her class is passable as long as you attend every class, do the homework on time, and study her practice tests like the back of your hand. Lowest test score gets dropped and you are required to take them in the testing center. Extra credit is offered when you do extra tutoring sessions.
TAKE PROFESSOR ROGERS! She is great at explaining tops and is very open to all questions. She offers extra credit on each test. She also drops the lowest test or the final, which ever you choose. The practice test is VERY helpful and is practically the same as the test. Make sure you study and you will pass, very easily.
Literally the best Math professor at this college a must-take course she's great.
Best prof ever!!! You won't regret taking her! She gives out practice test that are similar to the test. But you still have to study the concept. Take her!!
You'll do fine if you're good at math and have prior math knowledge in algebra, pre-calculus, and trig. Tests are required to be taken at the testing center and follow the exact format presented on the practice exams. You will be doing homework on mymathlab and have the opportunity to go to a tutor for a grade. I would recommend her.
I took her for mat1100 online does not allow late assignments at all. You will have to do 4 discussion posts they are projects if you are not online savvy I don't recommend taking this class. She is very easy to get in contact with by email and answers all questions. She will drop your lowest test grade at the end of year.Videos of lectures help.
Very kind and understanding. Good sense of humor and offers many resources for students to use to their advantage. Requires student learning center appointments which are a considerable part of your grade. (I did not realize this at first! Read the syllabus closely.)
she is a great teacher; however, she is very particular when it comes to testing, specifically with camera setup. if you plan to take a fully online math class, be aware of her please! she asked me numerous times to read the guidelines to the camera set up in her syllabus and i do, but she is still isn't pleased.
I have taken several online classes at pbsc and this class was by far the most organized. The professor actually posts videos of herself teaching instead of random youtube videos and she is really good at breaking things down. Grading is very fair. Highly Recommend.
She is the best math prof ever! I took pre calc and trig with her and she taught everything so good! In person lectures with here are the best! Do the practice quizzes and go to SLC for extra credits.TAKE HER!!!
Prof Rogers was a great professor, all her material was organized and she replied quickly to emails. Although, she does assign A LOT of homework, each assignment had like 25 questions, but thats honestly the only thing I'll complain about when it came to her class
My experience was amazing with Professor Rogers! This is coming from someone who took this course previously with another professor and received an F, but after taking her course I received an A. I will say that my grade was earned! Stay on top of the homework, go to the tutoring sessions, and do the practice tests! (Similar to real exam).
I thought she was alright at the beginning of the semester but she requires A LOT of time and effort. If you struggle with math like me (especially trig), she may not be your best choice.
I took trig and precal both online in the summer semester, so maybe that is why it was more stressful. However, it was not the professor that was difficult, but rather the content of trigonometry. The homework on mymathlab, the required hw platform was timeconsuming, but very helpful. For each test, she posts a practice test that is very similar.
Professor Rogers was AWESOME! I am currently taking her class fully online and she is amazing. She has all of her own videos and practice tests. She really simplifies things and makes them easy to understand. Also, the final exam is optional!!! and she gives extra credit!
Professor Rogers You go, girl! I love the way Professor Rogers lectures for trig; her tests are just like the practice tests, and she provides SLC pals, which is very helpful in order to master her test. Overall, a great teacher who only wants her students to succeed.
I don't think I could've done well in pre calc without prof Rogers. She's great for anyone who struggles in math bc she breaks down each topic very well. You're required to go to tutoring for this class and there is homework for every topic but tbh both were helpful for understanding the topics
If you aren't good at math, then I don't recommend the online class. The work is not too hard, but it does include math that you don't see every day, so tutoring and research will be your best friends. The class also requires lots of PowerPoint presentations. If you have been out of school for a while, this class may not be for you.
I took Prof. Roger's for both precalc and Trig in the spring and she was phenomenal. The lectures prepare you for the homework and the practice exams are a perfect representation of what the exams are like. She replies and helps with a lot, do not be afraid to reach out. Also go to an extra tutoring session for each module for EC. Take her!!!!
One of the best math teacher I have had in my academic career. I am thankful that she is always willing to help us with homework questions. She also goes out of her way to record videos so that we can review later on to bridge any gaps in our understanding. I am beyond grateful for her patience and understanding.
Professor Rogers is one of the best teachers I've had. Her class was super organized, the videos were easy to follow, and she really cares about her students. She made everything clear, from due dates to grading, and helped make math way easier to understand. I'd definitely recommend her to anyone taking this class.
This professor is very strict on the camera for Lock down browser and you will need a web camera to take this class online and she make you put the camera on you side to show your whole body it is very annoying
I took her for precalc, which was not so hard, and I ended the class with an A. However, I figured since precalc went well, I would use it for trig. It isn't necessarily her fault, but the content is very hard, and the grades are very focused on tests. I wish it were not this hard because she is a nice person.
Loved her lectures, actually watched them at 2x speed due to working career level job and taking 5 classes. She has a great attitude, in her lectures they explain the concepts really well. 5 exams, lowest one gets dropped.
As someone who mostly does online classes, I loved this class so much. She recommends you read the book, watch the lectures, and complete the homework assignment. Tutoring appointments are mandatory, but could serve as extra credit. I think there were 2 bi-weekly discussions, which weren't difficult if you understood the material. 11/10
The class is hard. I have watched all the lectures and done all the homework, and the questions that she goes over in the lectures are a lot easier than the ones that are on the test, in my opinion. Also, she does require you to set up a webcam, and she is very strict about it and how she wants it set.Tests are very hard be ready to study a lot.
This is the best online class I have taken. very organized. great videos. the testing setup is annoying at first, but once you figure it out its not that big of a deal. highly recommend.
do the practice test
This was a great course! My professor was amazing I wish I had her in person instead of online. But she taught this course great and Canvas and mymathlab worked great as well. I would recommend to anybody to take this math course.
