She does not cover everything and expects us to read tons of pages every night and she always brings up her boring stories about what has happened in her life. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS, WAIT FOR FR PHIL.

If you want to keep your sanity DO NOT take her. She stumbles and studders with every word. It's enough to drive you insane. She makes you read rediculous amounts of work and give you an essay and quiz every other day. It sucks. She's boring and if you actually want to stay awake during class don't take her.

If you want to experience a slow painful death this is your girl. She is absolutely the worst teacher ever!!!! I have taken theology my entire life and i feel like shes speaking a whole different language. She gives an incredible amount of work. I feel like she thinks we all have majors in theology.Kill yourself before taking her!!!!

Honestly, this is the worst class! Do not take her. She does not stay on track with our current readings. She backtracks a lot which can mess you up for that week's assignment. This also results in you getting told that you shouldn't be attending a university. Do not take her class!

I have taken religion classes my entire life and I have never had a teacher as bad as her. Her disorganized lectures and unclear assignments make surviving her class impossible. This class consumes your time and will make keeping up with your other classes' work load extremely difficult. AVOID at all costs, this class is not worth the headaches.

Work load is very discouraging. Also a really rude and disrespectful professor. Lectures do not make anyone learn about the reading of the bible.

She gives a large amount of reading every night for homework. She doesnt know how to use technology but stills try to must assignments on D2L and we always have trouble accessing assignments. Class time is boring smwe spend the whole class going over homework. IF CAN AVOID HAVING HER!!!

She goes against everything you ever thought you knew about the bible, and makes everything drag. The time I spend in class is the biggest wast of time, and the work is insane. I spend more time on this class' work than I do on my major classes. I still did well because I really put in the effort, but get ready for hours of work! DROP THIS LADY!

As soon as you see the name Brigid Frein on your schedule, RUN!! I have been taking bible since the age of 5 and she makes me second guess everything. She gives an assignment which is usually 2 pages and an all essay quiz every week. Her class consists of her rambling and getting off topic for an hour and a half. DO NOT TAKE.

Dr. Frein is an intelligent woman; but her class is incredibly disengaging. A typical class consists of her lecturing for over an hour with very little room for discussion. The work that she assigns weekly is far too overwhelming for an Introduction to Theology class; and she is an undoubtedly tough grader. Although, she has fair office hours.

Awful! Don't take her class!! She assigns an insane amount of work that is completely unrelated to anything she does in class. She goes on long, dry, tangents that don't make any sense, so you don't really learn anything. Her whole class was just awkward and awful.

Professor Frein believes we only take her course. Definitely avoid her! I usually had to teach myself the material. She would give quizzes and essays every week. Lots of reading!!! Spent most of my week working on her class. If you are going to take the course, make sure to try another professor.

I could not tell you a single thing I learned in this classI felt like I was teaching myself everything. I spent hours reading and highlighting the bible and still know nothing. Assigns WAY too much work!!! She freaks out if you don't participate but makes you feel dumb if you answer incorrectly.

Not only did I hate this woman I hated her class too. Never in my life have I met someone so boring. Literally dont take this class. Save yourself. The readings are ridiculous and you will fail all of the quizzes. This class was supposed to boost my grade and I'm basically failing. Participate where you can and do a whatever job on the study guide

She rambles off during class, is very boring. She thinks her class is the most important in your entire schedule even if youre taking it for a freshman seminar. If you see her on your schedule, RUN! Listen to the rate my professor. I really don't know how she's even still a teacher.

Drop the class if you see her name on your schedule. Worst teacher I ever had and rambles on about nothing. So much work and reading. Treats students like they are in elementary school. Hate that woman

She thinks her class is the most important thing you'll ever take. Her assignments are long and hard, I felt like I was teaching myself. This class was supposed to be a freshman seminar and I had more work in it than any major related and GE classes I took that semester. If you see her on your schedule RUN. She shouldn't have a job.

This professor does not know how to teach a class.She gives so much homework and readings. Not only that but she rants about random stuff that has nothing to do with the assigned readings. She sucks at grading, good luck on the essays. Make sure you participate early, because the questions only get harder. She threatened to cancel class one day.

Literally everything you learn from this class you teach yourself. Her lectures are TERRIBLE they make absolutely no sense. She gives weekly homework and quizzes and they are all so dense (one "question" has up to 8 parts) WORST OF ALL the final study guide has 353 questions to it no joke. She doesn't care that we have other classes to prepare for

This class has just started and I already want to off myself.

She hated me because I am not catholic as soon as she found that out she stopped answering my questions, and started giving me lower and lower grades. I worked with a kid that went to catholic school and we had the same answers she would give him a's and I'd get c or d's. She doesn't like anyone that isn't catholic, it's her way or no way.

Assigns more work than any other class. Soooo boring. Doesn't know how to use brightspace.

Makes the theology much harder than it needs to be. It is supposed to be an introduction to theology but assigns the most work out of all of my major courses.

All of what you learn is completed on your own, with the long and incredibly difficult readings she assigns. This woman will go on in class about the most random subjects that have no relation to Theology and then has the nerve to be a tough grader. Her attitude toward grading is toxic and not helpful for student development. Please avoid.

Because of Brigid Frein's prejudice against non-Catholic students, her class created an unwelcoming environment that negatively impacted the student experience. The 353-question study guide at the end of the course was also a source of unexpected aggravation due to its unusual length.

I took this class before COVID, it was a tough experience. Thankfully the course is now handled by someone else, which feels like a blessing for new Royals. Good luck, you're getting a much better version than we did.
