She is a good professor. Even though she gives a lot of h.w. You just need to time management her assignments. She does take a long time to grade essays but her feedback is very good. She also gives in class essay but she makes sure you get to read the readings before hand. She also go over things that some student dont understand in class too.

This professor is the worst. Cocky, rude, likes to mess around students, enjoys seeing them struggle and stress out. She thinks it's funny. Just cause you have a degree doesn't mean you're fit to be a good teacher. Should not be a professor at RCC

This professor is amazing as long as you follow her directions and stay on top of your homework. She can be a tough grader, but as long as you follow her directions for the papers you will be fine. You do have to earn the grade you get, but it isnt hard as long as you do everything youre asked of. Lots of extra credit on the papers.

My whole school career I have LOVED English, I have always received an A or B. However, after taking this class it has discouraged me, made me second guess my knowledge, and completely killed my confidence. She grades very hard, however, she may give you a bad grade and wont explain why even when asked. I have gained nothing but a broken spirit.

As long as you do your homework like she asks, you should not have a problem in this class. There are a few papers you have to write but she gives you every opportunity to receive feedback and help you get a good grade (plus up to 10 extra credit points per paper). I loved Professor Osgood-Treston's class, took her hybrid 1A 1B class my first semester in 2017. She gave very interesting lectures and all of the work did help you learn something, it wasn't just busy work. She is a very nice and interesting person and I recommend her to everyone with a warning that there will be essays and reading and work.

Worst teacher I've had. INSANE amount of work. Everyday she wants you to read 3 chapters and then a 130 page play and then answer 20 questions on it and a quiz . Theres an essay due once a week, she waits until the semester is over to grade them,so if you've been making a mistake, then too bad. Shouldn't be a teacher, only sets students up for failure

This class will separate the motivated and unmotivated. The only way to pass is to do your work and all the required reading daily. I will say the readings are amazing and very intriguing but the work that follows is "annoying" at best. You will read a ton and write even more, but if you take it seriously it will set you up for success.

This class SUCKS. Does she not realize that most of us taking this class are just doing it to get our English pre req done? The hybrid class is work overload. And she disabled the "what if grade" option on canvas, so you can't calculate your grades. Tonight we had 3 readings, and 3 quizzes. I know its 5 weeks crammed, but gosh, cut us some slack!

Professor Treston was overall a good teacher however it was a lot of work and a hard grader. If you kept up with the work you would do good. Also, she barely put in the papers the last week of the semester so if there was a mistake you wouldn't know. I would recommend taking her class just be prepared for a lot of assignments.

For me this class was especially difficult because I am a slow learner, the workload was just too much for me to me to grasp all at once. Her feedback is lengthy and vague, I got the feeling that she just copied and pasted it into everyone else's rubric as well. We had 3 timed essays none of which have been graded yet, and the term ends next week.

If you work full-time do not take this professor! She has an insane amount of work averaging around 6-8 full length assignments per week. Let me preface by saying I have a love for literature and writing. This class is sucking the soul out of me. The workload is heinous. The vast majority of assignments feel unnecessary, and her benign requirements for completion make it feel as if I'm pandering to the professor rather than actually LEARNING, which is why I enrolled in college.

I was in her English 1A hybrid 8 week course. Her lectures went through everything on the online part of the course and more. She was always able to help out students with anything. However, grading assignments took a while and sometimes assignments were posted late. However, manage your time well, and you can get the work done without much stress.

During the winter courses, three assignments were due every other three days. They usually consist of two retakeable quizzes, a discussion, and a reflection. The assignments were easy to answer. Just follow the prompts, and your replies don't have to be long. lenient and gave a 3-day no-penalty for late submissions. Timed Essays were annoying tho.
