The class is pretty brutal, but she was an extremely helpful TA. She was interesting to listen to and seemed like she wanted us to do well in the class.

This is a very demanding class itself. You have to be very disciplined and study each week so you don't fall behind. Brittany makes this lab possible! She is very friendly and very easy to get in contact with, whether it is responding to emails or her office hours. Her quizzes are similar to the practicals which help prepare yourself. She's GREAT!

Dr. Kraft is an exceptional professor. She is the head professor that organizes BSC 1005 but there are 4 other professors who teach the course. She is a really caring professor and truly cares about her students. I really enjoyed taking this class this semester and would totally recommend it. The class is definitely manageable!

BSC1005 defines what a good introductory class should be like. Dr. Kraft makes the classes very tolerable, being early in the morning. She is very sweet, and tries making the material as easy to understand as possible, which is what any good professor should do.

Dr. Kraft taught the first unit of this course and she was amazing! Her lectures were interesting, the textbooks (there are 4) are written by each professor that teaches each unit. You will need an iClicker for the class, which will give you extra credit points. You get 2 attempts for every exam and there is one assignment and one quiz per unit.

This class was super easy! Show up every class and get a point of extra credit. it all helps at the end of the semester. as long as you read the textbooks/quizlets before the exams you should be fine!

I hate science but this lab was super easy and honestly wasn't bad at all. Attendance is absolutely mandatory, but it's only once a week so it's not terrible. The labs are super easy and as long as you sort of try and do all the connecting concepts and lab manual stuff I don't know how you wouldn't pass. My TA was great btw

Dr. Kraft is the best professor I've ever had at FSU! Bio can get a little boring but she tries to make the class as fun and interesting as possible. Her tests & quizzes were accurate representations of what was taught in class. All you have to do to study is read the slides and do the practice problems she gives out. I 100% recommend her!

I hated Bio 1, I took it with the worst teacher (Fajer) and it made me feel discouraged about Biology. Taking Bio 2 with Kraft, she gave me a new perspective and a new love for Biology. grades exams and in class assignments very hard. shes a nice person but is not accommodating at all. its so hard to get an A in the class unless you do very well on the exams which are made up of very tricky questions and if u do the hard (only 1 opportunity) EC assignment. i wouldnt take her again because there was alwaysss something due.

Kraft is absolutely amazing. She cares about every single student and always makes that clear. Her lectures are easy to follow and she provides print out notes you can fill in as you follow along. Plenty of assignments to make up for exam grades. Exams can get tough but if you use the print out notes you'll do fine. I wish I could have her again.

don't expect an easy A at all in this class and don't expect a lot of curving but there is an extra credit opportunity. The exams/quizzes are concept-based are be tricky if you do not study well in advance. The powerpoints are accessible and are extremely helpful to study from.

This class is not super hard if you always attend class and you study frequently. If not you could be in trouble because her quiz and test questions can get very tricky. Dr. Kraft really cares about her students and tries to help you during her office hours. She also gives you everything you need to know in the lecture slides, although try to go to recitation as she reviews problems that are almost always on the unit test. No need for a textbook.

STUDY THE PP, she doesn't round but her tests are built around the PP and lectures. It's definitely passable and you can definitely receive an A in this class:)

Lectures are posted twice a week (45 mins- 1 hour). It felt like this class was never ending and took up a lot of my time. The test are wordy and confusing which is frustrating because I would watch the lecture videos at least 2 times before exams. I love Dr. Kraft! Be sure to do the study guides she posts, as that information is all that will be on the test. She's quirky and wonderful. She's accessible outside of class. I had her while classes are fully online and the class was significantly less painful than anticipated. Multiple choice can be tricky, AP bio practice quizzes were helpful.

Kraft is amazing! What makes her class difficult is that the exams are conceptual, but if you study and actually watch her lecture material, you should have no problem. She provides plenty of help and supplemental resources so passing should not be an issue in her class.

Even though it was remote this semester due to covid, I still feel as if I learned a lot. All it took to succeed was watching the lectures and doing the guided notes. Honestly 10/10 class.

This class was tough! The tests are very conceptual, but Kraft is a great teacher - she really cares about her students. Lots of study material and practice problems are provided to prepare for the tests too. Do not expect to slack though or you will not get the grade. This lab makes you write 2 scientific papers and depending on your TA they will either be gracious or really hard for no reason. Youre making me write my first ever scientific paper and then making me do a new one again. The quizzes are easy if you study the textbook, its easier if you take it with a friend to proof read your papers and quiz you.

Literally the sweetest bio prof. I've ever had! She made every opportunity to be available to students online and had great communication. Was super understanding due to tech issues and covid stuff. Very passionate prof! I took the class online/zoom because of COVID. Watch her lectures! The test online were open note, but very concept based, not just extracting facts from the notes. The lectures will make everything much easier to understand and go over things that are may not be mentioned in note packets. 1 Extra Credit opp., hard though.

Dr. Kraft was one of my fav profs! She really cares about you and wants you to succeed! If you do all of the practice work and thoroughly understand everything you will get an A. She asks conceptual questions, not so much memorizing. I recommend using ACE tutoring and explaining concepts back to the tutors to make sure you understand.

Best bio teacher out there! She gave me back my passion for science, and reminded me why I am a bio major. Lots of grades, and most of them were easy or for participation. Tests were extremely easy to study for, she gives a load of relevant study material. Take her if you can!!

AMAZING PROFESSOR! Dr. Kraft is incredibly caring seems so excited about biology which is very helpful in staying motivated. Her tests and quizzes are open note and in my opinion are not very difficult. She also offers a 20 point extra credit assignment which translates to a 2% grade boost. 10/10. Do not miss assignment, your grade will suffer.

Dr. Kraft cares very deeply for her students and it shows. The exams are difficult, but there are a lot of other assignments to offset a low exam grade. Grading criteria is very straight forward, and Dr. Kraft is always available to help/clarify if needed. The LA's and TA's are a very helpful resource.

Dr. Kraft is great! I've had her for Bio2 and Eukaryotic Diversity and she is really the best. The material can get confusing but as long as you ask questions, you'll do fine; just don't wait until it's too late to ask for help! She is always willing to help, utilize office hours!!!

Hands down my favorite professor ever! She makes the lecture so interesting and they are available live on zoom or to watch later. One quiz, one test and a couple small assignments in between for each unit which are not hard at all, just skim your notes and DO THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS and you will get 100% on every quiz and test.

Take her class!!! Such a good professor. Genuinely cares about you as a student and a person, always willing to help and answer your questions. GO TO RECITATION. no one really goes but that is where you will learn the most. Plenty of assignments throughout the semester to get your grade up.

Great lectures, and are provided with guided notes which makes following them easier. Lots of study material leading up to test, which were all open-note. Most tests could easily be ctrl+f'd and you would usually have plenty of time to spare to look back on answers. Overall very easy and relaxed class and hardly took up any time.

Definitely recommend taking it with her I learned so much. Take advantage of recitations and practice problems. The quizzes and exams are very wordy which can be tricky. Know how to put concepts into real life scenarios! Exams are open note but you still need to study for them.

I noticed a lot of exam & quiz questions/answers are word for word sentences that she has said during lecture when expanding upon the information already written in the slides. Dr. Kraft is a great professor but I am not sure that she is the best professor. She basically reads the slides and goes really fast throughout the lecture so it is hard to take notes and listen to her talk. Her tests and quizzes are hard and you do not have enough time to take them they are very rushed. She's very nice though and will help you.

She allows us to make a cheat sheet (normal paper size, front and back) for each exam and offers a study guide. Her lectures are great and tests are challenging, but you'll do well if you try. She wants us to learn concepts, not just definitions.

Great professor! did great on exams but kind of got stumped by mid unit quizzes so watch out for those. Super reasonable teacher and proof that you don't need to be mean or scary to gain respect. Love her! Be sure to attend lectures, cheat sheets are super useful.

Mrs. Kraft is an amazing teacher and a true sweetheart. If you attend the lecture and take notes and review the modules you will do very well in this class. If anything there is recitation that can help you with your understanding of the topics. 10/10 teacher highly recommend.

Beware of Mid-Unit assessments but EC can make up for lost points +final is less difficult than prior tests. Lectures go at a good pace and she has good vibes 24/7. Dr. Kraft is THE BEST bio professor! She clearly knows her material and easily helps students create an understanding. She's an engaging lecturer, clear with expectations and feedback. You're allowed a reference sheet per exam which allows for reasoning/understanding over memorization. She's supportive of her students and wants them to succeed.

It's clear why she is loved. Kraft goes out of her way to engage and provide resources. If you have a lot of background in bio courses (AP/IB bio) then a lot is review. I mainly did other work in class. Attendance is only rly mandatory when there's in-class assignment. In-class TopHat questions can be done at home. Gives cheat sheets for all exams.

she's not paid enough for the quality she brings FSU lol. stall taking bio 2 (for as long as is reasonable) just to take her. i HATE memorizing things but she takes that out entirely it's all application and fun! made me realize i don't dislike biology (it's cool actually) just the usual process of learning it. take her now

Dr. Kraft is an extremely caring professor and person.I had some medical issues that took a toll on my ability to perform well in my courses.Dr. Kraft stayed with me and was there to help support me in every way. Her exams are no longer online, but her quizzes are.They are a little tricky, but going to class will make them very easy. Amazing class.

Dr. Kraft is a stellar professor. Her passion for biology is infectious and she genuinely cares about her students and their learning experience. She knows her material very well and is always willing to give further explanation whenever a student is confused. Far and away the best instructor I've had since starting university.

Kraft is a very good professor and person. You can tell she genuinely cares for her students. The class can be tough at moments but all her assignments, grading criteria, due dates, and polices are very clear. In all if you attend class and complete all assignments on time you will pass the class. I wish she had more opportunities for extra credit

Kraft is amazing! Be aware, lots of assignments (quizzes, papers, in class written assignments, in-class tophat questions, and two exams). The two exams make up almost half of your grade and the final is cumulative (you do get a cheat sheet). She gives extra practice and lays criteria out, so pay attention to what she wants you to know. Fun class!

Prof Kraft is great! Her powerpoints reflects the tests, mini quizzes, and in class discussion questions. The class had 2 exams (cheat sheets were available to use). Organizing notes is the key to success!

love her! class attendance is graded you can miss like 4 or 5 and get full credit. there is an extra credit assignment and all our exams had a cheat sheet as well as the final. one of the few classes i actually learned in. i honestly didn't study, i never bought the book, and never went to recitation. easy class

Bless her, Dr. Kraft is an amazing prof but Euk Div is not for the faint of heart. So much memorization and learning things that you can barely force yourself to care about, like taxonomy of worms. But she is genuinely a beacon of sunshine that makes it hard not to at least try to enjoy the class. One of those rare profs who seems to love teaching.

LOVE. She is so accommodating and genuinely cares about her students. She explains things very well, and posts highlight videos for every week of lectures. I've gotten a 100 on her exams, she makes it very easy to succeed and retain information.

I don't usually do ratings but love Dr. Kraft! She's very easy going and cares about all of her students. She gives you powerpoint slides that you are able to study from and attendance is not mandatory but it helps to go to class because she can explain certain things that could be on the test. Helped me to succeed in this class and with homework!

attendance is counted by tophat questions but she lets u know when there'll be in-class assignments. she knows what shes talking about and her LAs/TAs are also very helpful. shes super nice and the tests are average difficulty. there's practically no homework so the class is easy to manage!

Prof. Kraft is genuinely an amazing professor. She cares deeply about every student and makes it known how much she wishes for everyone to succeed. If you have the option to take her class, TAKE IT. It is a manageable class that involves a good amount of memorization, but she makes it fun and gives examples that you can really understand.

She is my favorite professor that I've ever had. She allows a front and back cheat sheet on every exam!! She gives a little bit of extra credit (one extra credit assignment near the end of the sem, and 2 points extra credit in each unit review just for submitting a pic of your cheat sheet) I cannot recommend her enough, she is so sweet and fun.

I cannot say enough great things about Mrs. Kraft! She truly loves her students, makes learning difficult content fun/easy, and is a fair grader. If you complete all of the assignments w/ effort, attend lectures, and truly study the slides for the exams- you will do great. Dr. Kraft actually cares about her students and wants us to do better. There is an extra credit assignment worth up to 2% added on. Her recitations are very helpful, both for learning and for getting helpful things to put on your cheat sheet. She lets you use a cheat sheet for all of the unit tests. She is much better than my BSC 2010 professor.

The only reason I feel I didn't get an A was because I was bad about going to recitation (optional) and she gives good information during them. She's caring and willing to help you out if she can. Kraft is super nice and fun. She lets you use a cheat sheet on exams. Even if you don't study, but write everything on the cheat sheet, you can get an A. Recitation can be helpful at times. Easier than BSC 2010.

She has a lot of practice questions that help you with the tests and really cares about the feedback that students give. Actually engaging and interesting lectures, but very fast paced. Use the note templates posted on canvas to guide your notes, there is material verbatim to the exams. Study and GO TO RECITATION its so helpful and she is so awesome. Take her!

Dr. Kraft is a wonderful professor. She moves through slides kind of fast, so focus on things she says that aren't in the slides bc u have access to the slides and can go back through them. Use the strategies she suggests to prepare and u will feel more than confident with the material. She's a great teacher and a nice person. Go to recitation!!!

Dr. Kraft is one of the best professors I've had at FSU. She plans all assignments, lectures, and demonstrations to increase student's understanding. Lecture is important to attend for participation credit in TopHat. One of the best things she does is allow a one page cheat sheet on every "mini exam" given every two weeks.

I liked Dr. Kraft for Euk Div. Not a fan of ZOO. The class requires a manual. We were told to use it in exactly 1 circumstance, which is when I first unwrapped it (halfway into the semester). Then we never used it again, $100 wasted. Kraft does NOT teach this class - your TA (mine was great!) is the only one you see or interact with.

Such a nice professor. Pay attention, review the worksheets, and do the practice questions she gives, and you will do well.

Her passion was infectious, and she uses very helpful metaphors in class. My biggest advice would be to utilize every extra credit opportunity, cheat sheet, and try your best to listen to what she says in class. Some of those anecdotes will make it on the exam.

Dr. Kraft is amazing. I've taken her for two different classes now and can say she great at teaching. She makes the lectures interesting and offers a good amount of extra credit, but the extra credit is in class so you do have to show up if you want it. Class is exam/quiz heavy with it counting for about 80% of your grade, but Kraft makes it doable

Dr. Kraft is absolutely precious. She really cares about her students. Although lecture is not completely mandatory (only when there are in class assignments), I would recommend going to class because she explains things so clearly and somehow makes Bio II interesting. There are mini exams every week/every other week but you can use a cheat sheet.

Best prof ever! Mini exams are super easy and cheat sheets are allowed. She's a great lecturer and makes class engaging. Attendance not required but strongly encouraged. All powerpoints are posted after class and practice questions are super helpful. I have nothing but good stuff to say about Dr. Kraft and this class!

Best professor at FSU. Very fair and doable to finish with an A. 4 quizzes and 2 midterms. You are able to make a cheatsheet for the midterms. Also essay and in class assignment that help your grade and lots of extra credit. ALWAYS take a KRAFT Class

LOVED her. Cheat sheets on every mini exam and final and they were very straight forward. There are lots of assignments that count towards grade but not very much homework. She really loved the topic and teaching, and it shows.
