Dr. Race was a true gem that I ended up with. She is a very caring person and as long as you go to class, read the readings for class, and participate you will do just fine. She is very funny and very knowledgable about the topic she talks about (Psychology of Witnessing a Crime). I would definitely take her again, I can't say enough good about her

A LOT of note-taking. Attendance isn't mandatory but make sure you go to class when the topic says "12 Angry Men" on the syllabus. She wont remind you come to class for this mandatory (20 point) assignment, and when I missed the assignment it brought me down a WHOLE letter grade(and no makeup was allowed). Other than that, her tests were fair.

This class was asynchronous and online. The tests were primarily on the videos/lectures she posts for each chapter. You still need to read and take notes on the textbook. Even though it's open note, you need to put the work in because using the textbook isn't enough to get an A. Overall she's not bad. Never met or spoke with her though.

Easy class to do decent in, hard class to get an A in. The textbook and lectures are very information-heavy, so in order to do well you have to devote a lot of time to taking notes on them, but the exams are easy as long as you took thourough notes. Although we couldn't meet on zoom due to our large class size, Professor Race still provided helpful video lectures. Your grade is based upon the effort you put into this class. If you do not read the textbook assignments, you will not pass the tests. 4 tests count towards a majority of the grade, so if you do poorly on 1 it can have major effects.

There are 5 exams, lowest is dropped but this class is not bad at all, just memorizing terms. As long as you're not lazy this class wont be bad at all. Easier than a lot of my classes.Grading is super self- explanatory just study and you'll be fine. She also offers extra credit. You should take PSYC 111 with her.

She teaches in a way to be difficult. She never posts the information she gives in lectures so you're left hoping you wrote it down correctly. The tests cover a huge amount of material and really need to be broken into multiple parts. Way harder than expected for an intro psyc class. She also tends to have a bit of an attitude in lecture and emails

Race is a good lecturer, but you need to be actively paying attention during lecture and you CANNOT MISS a lecture. Otherwise she's very engaging and I enjoyed her class. Grades are based on 4 exams and 4 like 12 point assignments. She gives a test makeup day which I would take advantage of if you are struggling.

She is straight-forward with her notes and as long as you attend lecture (you HAVE TO), then you will be fine. The tests are very easy as long as you study (it's all memorization), I definitely recommend making flashcards!!! Each test is 40 MC with about 3-5 questions directly from the textbook that she doesn't cover in class. Overall it's chill.

"Attendence is not mandatory" but if you do not show up to her class you will never get the notes from the lecture you missed. If you miss even one class and can't get the notes from anyone you will fail her test. She speaks super fast and barely explains what she is teaching. I took AP PSYCH and still struggled in her class.

Dr. Race is good but she could be SO much better. Her lectures are packed with information and you CANNOT miss a lecture. The grade is from 4 tests, 5 homework assignments, and not much else. Test are extremely difficult with studying. Way too difficult for a freshman year class. This class also has an external lab requirement which is easy.

She is a good professor but you must put in the work -You'll need to read the textbooks as 3-5 questions on the test will come from it and not be discussed anywhere else. -Don't skip because her slides don't go in depth. -There is a lot of material packed into one 40 question multiple choice test. If you put in the effort you'll be fine

You have to show up to class to get the notes!!! She makes you respond to a textbook question before each exam but its an easy 100. The exams are weird because as much as I studied I feel like they were still difficult. She's not the worst person to take psych with but if you could get someone better please do.

I really enjoyed her class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but information from lecture isn't posted so you need to attend to pass. Tests are pure memorization; make quizlets of all the terms from the slides and just review. I recommend going to the review sessions before each exam. Extra credit opportunities are given on review days!

Although none of your grade comes from attendance, you will not pass unless you have a way to get the information from lectures. There are 5 total tests (90 points each) and some smaller assignments. Tests are memorization based, and I highly recommend flashcards. It is a large amount of information we are learning and she teaches that amount well

She was very great and extremely intelligent. I recommend writing her lecture slides out before class and typing in what she says during the lecture, as she speaks very fast. Everything she says in class is extremely important. Attendance is not mandatory but is necessary to do well, and she will give random extra credit for attendance.

Overall this class was pretty hard for a genEd class. Attendance is not mandatory but all the notes are given in class so dont miss any lectures as everything is important. She's very brilliant and knowledgeable on material. She is a very fast talker but repeats things twice. Gives lots of extra credit if you are in class which helps boost ur grade

smash. great lecturer but her lectures are heavy, so come prepared: write all the headlines beforehand and fill in definitions during class. I've found that practicing by generating quizzes on Gemini is very helpful. For the BIAT, you can email the graduate TA for recommendations so don't worry.

She frequently seems indifferent to whether students understand the content, and this attitude leaves many feeling unsupported and frustrated. When assignments receive little explanation or feedback. WORST PROFESSOR EVER. She does not prioritize effective teaching or student success, and this creates a discouraging atmosphere in the classroom.

This professor consistently treated Hispanic students with less respect than others. Several Hispanic students I know stopped participating because it felt like our voices weren't valued. If you're a Hispanic student or someone who cares about fairness, I would avoid this class because the bias makes learning extremely frustrating.

Laziness in teaching often manifests through a lack of preparation. When a professor delivers lectures without structure or avoids answering student questions by promising to “look it up later” and never doing so, students struggle to form clear understanding. Office hours may be reduced or treated as a burden rather than an opportunity for engagee

Completely unfit to teach. I genuinely believe they shouldn't be in a classroom at all. Their lack of respect for students, poor teaching skills, and inability to create a fair learning environment make it impossible to learn or feel supported. The way they handle lessons and student interactions shows a complete disregard for academic standards.

Beware of this professor. Please do not take her, please take anyone else. This professor is by far the laziest professor of ALL TIME. Her voice is similar to hearing brick from the middle or congested. Makes me wanna cut my ears off. Overall she cannot teach either, reads from her slides that she made in like 1989. Has old dates in her slides.....

This class was much harder than expected for a gen ed and very test-heavy. Exams are 80% of the grade and require memorizing 200+ terms each. You must read the textbook, as each exam has 2–3 questions not mentioned in lecture. Attendance is important since no notes are posted.

Dr. Race is extremely knowledgeable! Lecture slides are only "outlines," so attend lectures for proper info. Talks quite fast, so audio record the lecture. In-class review session gives extra credit. Out of class review with tutor not helpful. Instead, make flashcards to memorize info, and READ textbook before tests (not all is covered in lecture)!
