The only good thing about him was his office hours, other than that he was quite mean and very discouraging. Wasn't a fair grader whatsoever. He is very full of himself and expects you to write the exact same way as him, and if you don't he gives very demotivating and rude feedback. I used to love English and now I don't. Would NOT recommend.

Brock is a good prof he's just is a very tough marker. He gives lengthy instructions that don't agree with his verbal instructions in class for a very simple assignment. Just do exactly what he says. If you want an A ensure your work is perfect. Easy B though.

As a new student, this professor made the class unbelievably stressful and unnecessarily heavy. Degrading comments about students' past mistakes felt extremely personal. I learned an incredible amount, but the price is too high. You need to work extremely hard to get good grades. It's not easy! Don't take this class unless you have no other choice!

If you are a sensitive person don't take this class. Dude is extremely full of himself and makes very unprofessional and unnecessary comments to students. On the upside if you are down for a laugh he can be fairly funny and entertaining during lectures.

Although the lectures can be interesting, he is an incredibly hard marker. Nobody really ever got a grade over 80 and his instruction for assignments can often be difficult to understand. If you are worried about your GPA I would find a different professor.

This was an awfully stressful class for a first year first semester student. do not take ATWP with him unless you're a walking dictionary or you have no other choice. He's very critical and has a sassy attitude. His outfits were fire though

The reviews don't lie. Brock was a pain of a professor, a big ego with little respect for his students. Expect sarcastic rude comments when talking to him. He enjoys marking with criteria that goes against what he says in class. Does not provide helpful feedback. Makes you question your tuition's worth. Expect a low grade for an easy class.

Gave very unhelpful feedback on most assignments. He resorted to just insulting students' work instead of giving constructive criticism that they can use to improve their writing. The final project was the only assignment he graded according to the criteria given and not his emotions.

Does not give any strong feedback and mainly resorts to just antagonizing your work. Has a very big ego and likes to think he is above everyone else. His lectures kind of drag on but can sometimes be somewhat interesting. His layout for finding assignments, and finding what to do is very confusing.

A funny and great conversationalist, but can be pretty passive aggressive and difficult to understand when it comes to feedback. Very tough with grades and I didn't get anything above a B, which he essentially said is the highest he'll really give out. Expect lower grades than you'd likely be used to. He does have fire fashion sense though!

Overall I found Brock an okay prof. Though his Brightspace is very disorganized and his feedback can sometimes be confusing, if you just go and talk with him he will clear up any confusion and provide very helpful advice on assignments.
