She is not hard just come to class on time, take the notes and u'll be fine. The tests come exactly from the notes so just go over them and ur fine. She's great. It's an easy class but u have to come to it and be on time. take notes have ur hw, wich is crazy easy. multiple choice tests. easy easy.

She's a really sweet person. If you're a good student you will do well in her class. She's passionate about science, and is helpful to her students. She makes class interesting and easier by telling stories, and explaining the lectures thoroughly. I never liked Science until I took her class.

She's a great teacher. In Scientic Inquiry she gives lectures in class using power point, and she tells stories of her experiences. I simply studied notes and got an easy A. She cares for her students, and is very helpful. She's also a Doctor, and an interesting person. I would definetely recommend taking her.

Grades = 4 tests & simple powerpoint project. All notes=powerpoint. Every word in the notes will be on test. Tests vary, but consist of multiple choice and t/f for most part. 93+ = A, 90-92=A-, but need to really memorize notes for A. Recommended.

I had signed up for biology. I walked into her classroom only to discover that she wanted to focus on environmental science and ecology. I hate environmental science and ecology. But hey, she's a decent professor and a pretty nice lady. She's very stringent with attendance rules. 2 lates = 1 absence; 6 absences = dropped from the class. Be on time.

This was my ONLY required science class and Im not the best in science. Her class messed up my 4.0 with a B+ :(. Regardless, very fair teacher. She's very anal about a lot of things - sexism, littering, pollution, etc. Which is understandable but she takes it to another level. Tolerate her, STUDY hard, and watch out for trick questions. I ignored the comments here & took her. BAD DECISION. Every comment from boring to birds is 100% correct. Hour & a half class of ALL notes. Finds a way to tie in bird to EVERYTHING. Truly a sweet lady, but can get pissed really easily. Points off avg if you're absent or she sees you with your phone. If sciene isn't your thing, DON'T TAKE HER.

The class is somewhat difficult. There's a lot of note taking and handouts. Tests are kind of hard because she puts trick questions on there but overall it's still an okay course. Dr Lauro is extremely enthusiastic about what she teaches and encourages her students into being as much a part of the lecture as she can. Tests are somewhat tough but the endangered species project is a breeze final-midterm no papers, some homework, she is a bird watcher and she brought a dead bird she found on campus into class, it was hilarious

Great professor, did not expect a lot of homework and exams but the exams are straight from the notes. She loves nature, very intelligent and she expects students to stop being lazy and start working hard. LaptopsIpadsPhones are not allowed or else she will deduct points from final grade, honestly society uses too much electronics.

Took Professor Lauro for Science 1000c Biodiversity Online. Lauro was very organized with the assignments. Would have one powerpoint each week as the notes, homework was based on the powerpoint, as well as a quick discussion based on it. Quizzes were given every two weeks but were based off the notes. One project as well. Great Professor.

Dr. Lauro is very passionate about her work and this is reflected in her assignments. Expect a ton of homework although they are not difficult. Very tough grader as well, so be sure to do all your work very thoroughly or she deducts points. Overall, a fair grader and a good teacher considering she will always respond to you and answer any questions

Absolutely loved this professor! She's obsessed with Piping Plover's (birds) that she studied. She literally has a zoo in her house lol. Her lectures are pretty interesting and her homework isn't hard at all. Just write down your notes, study, and you'll get an easy A!

Very nice lady and wonderful teacher. Detailed, outlined notes on powerpoint presentations. Come to class, memorize your notes, don't screw around and this'll be one of the easiest classes you will ever take. Highly recommend this teacher.

Prof. Lauro is an amazing bio teacher. Tests come straight from the notes, and the collected worksheets are gone over before handed in. She is extremely understanding, and clear with how she wants assignments done. She hates people that use cellphones during class, and people that don't show up to class. All in all, you'll be fine if you listen.

One assignment due every tuesday night along with a discussion post every saturday to break in the topic. The assignments are extremely long and take up a lot of time. You gotta read a lot and research to answer the slides. Overall, good class you learn a lot but it is super easy to fall behind. If you do everything on time, youll def get an A.

So easy! Lots of busy work, but its elementary. Her tests are so easy, as long as you study and take notes. She's very sweet! She doesn't post power points and takes attendance every class so its not one you can skip.

It's an easy class if you simply read the slides she provides you with & submit the hw/discussions. Really all you're doing is filling in the blanks or looking at the textbook/ websites she sources you with. Only downside is that she takes points off your hw without explaining/no reason & sometimes feels like you're teaching yourself (if asynch.).

Homework was assigned every week-super easy she gives you all the answers just fill them in. quizzes every other week-based off of the hw word for word. Discussion posts are easy but make sure to be specific and literally answer every single question she has. She's super accesible out of class and is super nice.

Taken asynchronously but I learned so much, she's very passionate about Biodiversity. Makes it interactive! 1 assignment & 1 discussion question a week; can be a bit difficult and time consuming but if you read the textbook/use the sources provided then you'll do well. Quizzes were fairly easy. Gives feedback on everything and answers emails fast!

Such a sweetheart! Made asynchronous class really fun. Took her for Biodiversity and learned so much from it. Easily my favorite class of the semester. Weekly assignment and discussions were TEDIOUS but kind of fun. She drops two assignments and discussions which I think is really nice because she grades tough. Overall super cool lady! Def take

Lauro is sweet, but her work builds a lot in intensity. Each week, a discussion post and a powerpoint assignment were due. Occasional quizzes of 15-30 questions. As the semester went on, powerpoint assignments got longer (50+ slides), which were manageable but overwhelming. Very picky about responses too. Make sure you follow her exact directions.
