very good teacher. i would recommend her to any one who struggles in math. she moves slow and expains things well. she is really nice too. her tests are very easy if you do the homework and show up to class. she also gives a lot of extra credit. highly recommended.

I've taken 1033 math 3 times(none with Brooke) and on the 4th time I passed,I truely believe that it was b/c of her teaching style.Do the homework,and take notes they are very helpful. The class before the test she will go over what will be on it, study these problems and you will pass every test.

GREAT Professor!! Extremely precise in her methods and unbelieavably helpful. Just show her that you want to pass and she'll pull you through it. Oh yeah, Do every assignment and DON'T miss a class, that just might be the day you miss out on BONUS, and we know everyone could always use bonus points.

She is an awesome teacher. I hate math and it is my worst subject, she made it easy and she explains everything to you 50 times if you need it. She counts homework towards your grade so it is not just your test grades. Very patient and she is young. She also lets you make up tests. She is awesome!

I really enjoyed her. She's pretty, wise, and entertaining! She goes over about 2 lessons a day. And then the homework is done online AND due about a week later! SCORE. :D Take her! Take her! I really enjoyed this class. Mrs Quinlan enjoys math and it shows, she makes the information interesting ...but you get it. She's willing to work with you, especially if she knows u'r trying. There's one catch...stay up on u'r home work it makes the difference on if u sink or swim. Definitely take her:)

i was a little upset, that we had to use math xl on line . but then with the xtra work , her helpfulness and determination i was able to remove my first test grade of 50 to a 90 on the final.

AMAZING professor!!!!!! I took Intermediate algebra and failed it 3 times prior to signing up for her course. I have NEVER been good at math (EVER...lol), BUT I CAN PROMISE you that if you show up to class, YOU WILL PASS. She is EXTREMELY down to earth and very helpful. YOU MUST DO THE HOMEWORK GUYS. That's where ost of the help comes from!!!

Brooke was an awesome professor. One of my favorites. She explained things so well. Math has always been a weakness for me, but she made difficult things seem easy. She's really cool and her assistant, Carla offers free tutoring whenever you need it which is EXTREMELY helpful before exams.

No need to by a book. All of the homework is done online. Loved her! Would recommend!

She doesn't assume you know, and WON'T make your life misserable if for any reason you don´t know; instead, she will explain. Her tests are simple and straight forward for the most. However, too little time is given to take your test, and that may bring your grades down. Still, she's a very good teacher.

Brooke is a terrific professor. I've taken her for two classes, and I wouldn't take a professor twice unless she was great! Trig is harder than college algebra, but the notes she provides have examples that are similar to test questions. Homework is done in MathXL, which can sometimes be irritating, but I end up learning a lot from it. Take her!

Greatest calculus teacher ever! Her tests are exactly what she teaches and she gives clear examples in class and through videos online. Lots of extra credit opportunities. HW and attendance are mandatory but you'll want to do HW as practice. I hate math and the lowest test score I got was a 91. Highly recommend her!

Trigonometry is a tough class. However, Professor Quinlan teaches well, and will help you get through it. Bonus point opportunities are there to help. I got an A.

She is one of the best professors at HCC. I wished she taught statistics. You do have to study for your exams to get an A in this class, but she is willing to help you anytime.She replies to her emails within a day. TAKE HER!

When I started Mrs.Quinlan's math class I had no confidence in my math ability. After taking the MATH ENCHANTRESS's class, I have more confidence than I have ever had. I got an A in her class, because she is so helpful. If you are having trouble,go to her office for help and candy!!! Her door is always open for her current and former students.

Hands down awesome teacher! I hate math but she is very clear about information and what is going to be on the test. The final exam are questions right from your previous test! I took her over the summer and felt that the pace was perfectly timed out, never felt rushed. Also she give you tons of opportunities to get bonus points.

I ve never posted anth on this rating my professor but for the first time i m posting this because as a professor i ve never understood a material before like the way she explains friend with Mrs quinlan. Go to her office hours very helpfull. If you want to learn and enjoy math take her.

Let me start by saying I don't think Calc II would be easy with any teacher. But Professor Quinlan is a great teacher, shes very clear and detailed in her explanations which makes it easy to understand. Her tests are pretty hard but they do come from examples in your notes so be prepared to study! Fair amount of homework on MyMathLab as well.

Her class is easy, especially the final exam. I got 100% on final and 96 or something overall for the course for an A. She offers a lot of extra credit opportunities. She drops the lowest test score. Cal 2 is supposed to be a hard class. So, don't complain it's hard. It's meant to be hard. But, it was easier with Quinlan.

I've already rated Professor Quinlan for MAC 2311, and those comments also stand here. She's an outstanding professor. Calculus 2 is a difficult class, but Quinlan makes is as easy as possible. She's tough but fair. Her required note packet is almost a textbook in itself; excellent! Extra credit available. Get A's on the tests then no final!

Best math professor at HCC. She truly knows her stuff and gives plenty of opportunities for you to earn an A. Do the HW and study for the tests, don't forget the EC, it can really boost your grade.

Mrs. Quinlan is awesome. She's hilarious and she's also an amazing teacher. I got a D in college algebra the first semester I took it and then I retook it the next semester with Mrs. Quinlan. I got a B in her class and I actually knew what I was doing when it came time to take the tests. I highly recommend her over all of the other teachers.

Awesome professor calc is a hard class but she will help you as much as she can. its up to you to study. online hw is time consuming but it helps with the tests. her reviews are spot on.

She is so picky, she makes it a huge ordeal when you have to take a proctored test. Her extensive rules on proctored test are the reason I failed the exam, I ran out of time. Her muliplechoice questions had up to 8 OVERWHELMING choices. I studied so hard for that exam and of course you cant see what youve misssed unless you see her in person.

Her tests are very tough. There is at least one or two questions on the tests that she does not go over in class. BUT, she made it clear in the beginning of the semester that she EXPECTED a lot from all students. So, make sure you don't just study off the examples but also APPLIED and FULLY UNDERSTAND the material.

If you fail her class it is because of you. She is BY FAR THE BEST MATH TEACHER I HAVE HAD. If you do not understand something she will not stop until you understand it or YOU give up. You don't have to buy a book because she MADE one for you with a video for every example. She gives extra credit and is fair. If you want an free A keep it moving.

I battled my way through the Algebra-Precalc track. I did well but did not feel super confident when I got to Calc 1. After taking Qunilin that changed! The material is tough. She designs the course for those who want it, not those who need it. I applied myself and got an A in 2311, a B in 2312. She is a true educator!! Highly recommend!!

It's been tough with cal 3, but I personally think it isnt as bad as cal 2. Quinlan is a great professor and she is a very compassionate person. The only thing I don't like about the class is the MULTIPLE CHOICE tests, she would work out all the wrong answers and know what? you thought you got the right one. p/s: beware of test 5 lol

Take this professor! She's so adorable! She makes math so simple. She does not have high expectations at all. She is very clear and really dumbs it down. She made precalculus so simple. I took her online, seriously like one of my easiest classes. She is very organized and she offers so many different way to improve your grade. Easy A.

She was my first experience with Calculus. She and another professor have made over 300 very detailed/comprehensible videos. All of which really helped me. She tests on the note packet you fill out with the videos. Very fast to respond and very nice. Gives up to 10 points extra credit through community service. You need to be confident in math.

Took Quinlan for MAC 1140, MAC 2312 and MAC 2313. Easily one of the best math teachers of all time. No joke. She makes very difficult material easy to understand. She is utterly devoted to her students and puts so much preparation into all of her lectures. Total hardass about grades, but if you don't learn in her class its your own fault.

Her lectures were recorded and you buy a note packet she created to take notes in with the lecture. Not an excessive amount of homework. Plenty of extra credit opportunities. She is the highlight of my second semester of college.

Took her online for precalc and I learned as if I was taking this in class with a professor. She has lecture videos and noted that go along with them that you can buy at the dale mabry book store. buy the notes because they are like 7 dollars and so helpfull. For the proctored exams, make sure you study the review the most. she answers emails!!!!

Lectures are accessible and energetic; thoroughly addresses core concepts before moving onto mathematical procedures. Every problem on the tests comes straight from the notes, so as long as you understand the examples from lecture, you will do well on the tests. Homework is a large portion of your grade.

Love her love her love her love her. She make Calculus 2 enjoyable, I had a different professor previously and this course was painful.

She is by far the best maths Teacher in HCC. Her class is so much fun and she makes complex concepts looks easy. Anybody who is planning to take MAC 2312, you should register for PROF Qunilan class... trust me you won't regret it........ she is the real deal

On the first day, I felt that this class was going to be annoying. As the semester progressed, I noticed something in Professor Quinlan that no other professor offers. She cares, she gives you TOUGH LOVE. She is realistic and also teaches you that you must work hard for a good grade. I recommend to anyone honestly. Very great at teaching.

Pros: She is a very reasonable grader and is fantastic at explaining the material. She can come off as strict, but she really cares about your performance. Cons: She uses mymathlab. (not a fan) There is a lot of outside class work like filling out your note packet via videos. Note: You need to buy her note packet from the bookstore.

One of the better, if not the best, mathematics teachers at HCC. She really does care & is very understanding. She will not only show you how to work a problem, but explains the logic behind it. The note packets are useful & I recommend that you keep them to refresh yourself later. Drops lowest test score & gives a few extra credit opportunities.

She is the best Mathematics teacher in Hcc.... ...... and if you are planning to take any calculus classes, I highly recommend to register for miss Brooks classes.... you won't regret it, she is the best in the business.

She is very organized and her lectures are very clear and interesting. You have to buy a note packet from the book store. In case if you didn't understand the lecture, she always post the recorded lecture on canvas. The exam questions are very similar to the note packet example's. It is fairly easy to get an A in her class. Her class were enjoyable

SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST PROFESORS I HAVE EVER HAD! Honestly, probably the best... I am in mechanical engineering at USF and I am constantly using Quinlans packet from calc 2&3. She is the reason I love calculus; also, she is the first teacher to ever make me believe that I would be an engineer. The USF calc classes dont even come close.

This review is for the online class. This class was so much better than my precalc online math class that I took. She puts lectures up on YouTube and you work through a note packet that you can either buy and is inexpensive or you can print yourself. Textbook was not really needed. Tough class though, online math is tougher than lectured class.

I took her online course the last semester she was here. Lecture videos on youtube were easy to access and watch. Her note packet was cheap in the book store (maybe $3?) and really helped during the semester with notes. She requires MyMathLab (which I prefer) but no textbook needed. Responded to emails quickly. Dropped assignments at the end.
