not bad for lab...she made it fun...though she sometimes spent a little more time in prelab lecture....grades are fair....if u kno wat u doing....u should b fine.

I was dreading this class but she mad it very interesting.....love her teaching style.

She does provide notes for printing so u won't have to write it yourself. I really like her, she's so nice & organized. BUT TOO MUCH BUSY WORK! If u don't have time for daily assignments, projects, quizzes, etc, don't take her. Mrs. Skelton, please ease up, I have other classes to work on!

THIS TEACHER GIVES DAILY QUIZES, TONS OF HOMEWORK AND OUT OF CLASS MANDATORY TRIPS & ASSIGNMENTS. IF YOUR TAKING THIS CLASS LET IT BE THE ONLY ONE FOR THE SEMESTER B/C YOU WON'T HAVE TIME FOR ANYTHING ELSE. SHE TOOK THE FUN OUT OF LEARNING DUE TO THE HUGH AMT. OF WORK GIVEN OUT.

very nice lady but.. shes kinda nuts, quiz every class, WAY to much homework, open note tests but they are not easy. For some reason she thinks everyone in the class has all the time in the world for astronomy. This class is interesting but be prepared for a boat load of work.

Dr. Skelton is an amazing teacher. She has a very brilliant way of bringing difficult concepts down to her students level. She encourages her students to THINK and LEARN. She is a top notch instuctor and one of GPC's best. I look forward to her class every week.

Great teacher! Very enthusiastic about Astronomy. Lab was a lot of work in class, but she leads you through it. Absolutely no outside homework:) Easy "A".

She does assign a lot of work, but that helps you to learn it so that you get an A on the tests! She is wonderful and brilliant. She is one of the best teachers at GPC and you will learn so much in her class. Take her!!

Doctor Skelton is probably the best teacher at GPC DUNWOODY. She is so passionate and knowledgeable about her classes. She is willing to help. She does give quizzes every day to check if you have read but if you are willing to do the work; take Brooke's class. I scored highest on all her tests by hard work. I learned so much!!!

Dr. Skelton is very smart and organized. The topic is whats hard. She tries to make it fun and educational. It is challenging. Quizes everday. Hard tests

Such a great teacher! Even if you are not BIG into Astronomy, you will definitly have a blast in this class!! She is my favorite College Professor so far, and that is saying a lot!!

I agree w/everything said before...by far the best teacher I've had at GPC. She is well versed in the topic, and she loves it so it works well. She has an answer for about 99.9% of anything you ask about astronomy. Very smart lady.

Brooke is an excellent teacher--her lectures are very interesting and she makes learning about astronomy fun. She is very picky with her grading style, that's the only thing I can actually complain about; her tests are extremely difficult, however, they're only worth about 10% of your grade. Her Honors class was a little lighter on the work.

awesome teacher!!! dosen't change the fact that phys is a hard subject. She is the BEST teacher though, helps with everything and explains everything great!! very nice!! One of my favorite teachers !! however the class is still hard material wise and if you're looking for an easy A stop now b/c it wont happen

Fantastic teacher! It's no coincedence that the negative feedback comes from those with bad grades. As with any class, you get what you put in. Tests aren't bad as long as you do the homework, and the homework isn't hard because identical examples are found in the book. She is willing to sit with you for hours to help. 1 downside: daily quizzes=10%

Too much work, too boring of a class, useless material that doesn't relate to life. she gets mad because we don't like this stuff like she does. She admits her tests are hard and they are entirely short answer!! VERY HARD class with extreme work load.BE prepared to not have a life while taking this class

Great teacher and cares deeply about students but gives out lots of homework and observation assignments but gives you plenty of time to do it. Also her tests are fair as long as you study and pay attention in class. Good teacher though. Liked her class a lot.

Lots of material to cover and lots of little homework readings and assignments, but she is a fair teacher and expects you to do your work on time. I think she was an absolute blast in class and seemed like she was interested in the subject. Fantastic teacher!

Dr. Skelton gives a whole lot of work, so I wouldn't take her class unless you're prepared to study a lot. She's nice, and will help if you ask, but if you're absent a lot or disrupt class, she WILL call you out on it. Tests are pretty hard, you definitely have to study.

I really enjoyed her class, straight forward assignments.

Very straightforward in her teaching. Emphasizes key points in class. Willing to help students outside of class and offers extra credit oppurtunities. She focuses more on concepts than math problems, which actually makes understanding the material much easier.

She is so cute! She was my favorite professor at GPC. IF you don't like astronomy, than avoid this class! But I love astronomy and I'm so glad that I took it. Yes, the work load is a lot, but practically none of the due dates are definite, I was turning in work from the beginning of the semester at the end of the semester so that helps.

Makes physics applicable. Very willing to help. Actually cares about students. She's willing to do whatever it takes to get you to succeed, but she isn't going to hand out grades. It isn't an easy class, but you will learn something. If you are fixated on your GPA, prepare to work hard...if you are willing to work, you will learn a ton!

GO TO HER OFFICE. she wont tell you answers, she helps you figure them out which takes a lot of time but is worth it. had her for lab and learned WAY more than i did from lecture, actually used some stuff i learned in calculus. i W'ed and she still says hi when I see her. she's really nice but very, very tough. you need to be adaptable and listen.

Dr. Skelton is a very good teacher when she teaches. This being said, a lot of her teaching was done through videos and a lot of them were hard to watch. She's very friendly and very helpful, but she only gives a midterm and final and they are both short answer. She assigns a lot of work and is slow to grade it. Very understanding teacher overall.

She is willing to help if you get to her office. But, she grades very hard. She will ruin your work with her pen. She wants you to do better,which is good, but it's hard to know sometimes what she expects. I started at first loving the lab, but that dissolved. Too much work for a 1 hour lab. I regret not taking Oakley or Dunn.

take her forever to return work, she is very disorganized, she sometimes forgets to teach and just tells us stories about her life. but you can tell she loves Astronomy so much just from how she talks about it, it is infectious. she made science great again although her class was not easy.

Guys, this is physics it is not supposed to be easy. Do your homework and know your stuff then you will get A so easily. Questions on the test are from homework, no quizzes, no attendance grades, also only 30 dollars for the online access code for homework site. Spend maximum 1 hour to complete the homework. Do your job!

I highly recommend Dr. Skelton for Physics 1. She gives lots of homework; however it's a vital part of the course because it greatly improves your understanding of the material. I have since taken Physics 2, and I can assure you I would not have done as well as I did without Dr. Skelton for Physics 1.

Dr. Skelton is very helpful and understanding. I recommend taking her! There is Homework due every class but it isnt hard at all! She really loves what she does. Dr. Skelton doesnt treat Her classroom like a job but like a passion! Ive learned a lot in her class because everything is hands on and she explains it in a way you can understand!

I very much enjoyed her class. At first I was a little skeptical, but over the course of the semester, I really came to respect her as a female teacher especially in the science field. ISCI can be a difficult course to administer because of the heavy integration, but she does a good job and really cares.

Required to complete a 10-20 question pre-lab before each class. Tough grader but provides good feedback so you can improve. She really wants you to succeed. Midterm and final are mostly concept based. Be prepared to spend 8+ hours a week completing lab notebook. Lab might be ahead of lecture so you'd have learn new concepts on your own. 7/10

She is a great professor and a great person, but..her labs felt like never ending torture, do not expect to ever leave earlier or even on time lol You will learn how to write good lab reports and she is always there to help! You may receive low grades for the lab reports during the semester, but she curves a lot! Overall - awesome, but never again!

This teacher really loves teaching. Her classes are didactic and easy to understand. She is willing to break down every question you ask her to make sure your doubts are resolved. Your assignments can sometimes take a while, but she makes it easy for you to understand all the topics. Truly an excellent teacher.
