EASY class, I haven't been there in over a month and I am getting an A, don't buy the book either because he has "practice quizzes" online for all the exams. Questions on the quiz are same as the exam! He also posts his notes online and cancels class quite a bit,I highly recommend taking his class

If you have to take this class, take it with this guy! He never takes attendance, and posts all powerpoint slides online. Also, he posts practice quizzes online, and the tests are given in the exact same order (same questions and answers). VERY easy class!

Bruce is an amazing teacher, he knows what he's talking about and although you don't have to go to class a lot he makes it interesting when you do. His notes don't do a whole lot for his tests, but his tests are right out of the book almost word for word. Take this class with him!

Very easy teacher. Everything is spelled wrong on his power-points but is very down to earth. Uses blackboard religiously. Few assignments but is a fair grader. Puts funny questions on tests. We have watched three or four good movies and offers extra credit options. Easy class, nice teacher.

LOVED IT! Great class, but this stuff interests me, so I guess that's why. Overall, great teacher, funny, especially with the video clips, and explains using group discussion. Bring laptop for notes, or Facebook, and just pay attention; don't really need the book. Find a study buddy for a quick before class review, and OKEY DOKEY!!!

He's a funny guy who uses a lot of examples from his life to explain concepts. Class isn't mandatory but go anyways. It's fun and he says things that are on the test.

super easy class, got an a+ :) all homework is extra credit and tests are super easy. I studied the study guide for probably 20 minutes right before each test and got an A on every test. Definitely recommend his class.

Had him for a night class. Never keeps us the full time. Journal entries due every week that simply consit of 5 questions from the book. Not hard. Don't need to attend every class if you plan on reading. Otherwise go so you can get his notes. Pretty easy. Nice teacher. A little monotone.

He was a nice guy, but it bothered me that he didn't seem to really "know" his subject matter. It seemed like he read the book the night before he presented. The examples he used weren't the best examples in the world, but I understood it. Only came to class a few times...posts study guides online...test questions were sometimes very tricky.

Bruce is an excellent & easy prof. Online exams were great, not having class on St. Patty's day was even better, and the assignments were easy to understand. There is no reason why people shouldn't get an A in his class! :) HIGHLY! RECOMMENDED

This class is really easy with Prof. Covey. All the exams are either online or open book, so you dont have to read the text. There is one paper and it is just interviewing your parents and grandparents and writing about it. Super easy class. Bruce is a really nice guy.

Covey is a very nice guy. He makes a point to interact with students, despite the lecture style class room. The work load is light and homework is un heard of. He also makes really helpful study guides before exams. Highly recommended!

I had no interest in this topic before taking the class but Covey really got me excited about the subject. His notes are easy to follow and all you have to do is copy them down. I loved his study guides. They require answers from both the notes and the book. Attendance is not mandatory but you need the notes to do well!

Great teacher. Actually cares about students and helps you out whenever he can. Three exams, didnt have to study. the ones i did study i did worse on.

This was a great class! Notes were very clear and easy. You will need a book for your exam. Questions on your exam will come from our notes and the book. Bruce Covey is a great professor who got me interested in human development. He makes class interesting.

This guy is more focused on teaching than testing. His lectures are always really funny and interesting and I took a lot from them. His test is the study guide and the study guide is straight from the book, so I would definetly buy the book! nice guy, totally recommend!

Covey is a really nice guy, he is super helpful and really cares about teaching. BUT his lectures are very very BORING! Attendance is not mandatory and you could get by without going to class, just read the book and use the study guides before tests.

Amazing professor. He really cares about teaching and doesn't care as much about testing as others. All of his exams are super easy and follow the study guide almost in order. I recommend getting the book to answer the study guide. He has a couple in-class assignments that he will tell you the date of. Overall, great guy and I enjoy going to class.

Easiest class ever. If you know anything about the cycle of life and people going from infants to the elderly, you're set. He's a nice guy, but I literally learned nothing more from the class than I did on the first day. If you're looking for an easy class with a guaranteed A, take it with him.

Class was so boring, he was always rambling on about a different thing which made everyone zone out. His exams were so confusing, and he would put stuff on there that we had not even talked about (and I went to EVERY class).. He was friendly, but it definitely got boring

Honestly one of the most amazing profs I have ever had. He is so funny and as long as you take notes, you should be good to go! There are not many other assignment's that he gives except a few projects, so it was a really easy and fun class. Would definitely recommend!

Exams are more in depth than his lectures. The answers on the study guides sometimes require the book, but you can basically find all the answers and even find study flashcards on quizlet instead.

He also gives exam study guides which are very helpful. As long as you put in work and show up to class, you should have no problem passing.

This class and Bruce Covey was very interesting. He is a very down to earth guy and knows the material. He gives guides for the exam, but they aren't completely tailored it them. For a lecture class, there was a lot of interaction. One class period he brought in his young granddaughter and we observed her behavior. Great guys all around!

Tests are a little tricky, so read your textbook about the topics he mentions in study guides. This is a totally easy class with a nice guy as the professor. He is a great guy and good professor. Classes are lecture heavy, but content is fairly simple and he explains it well with plenty of real life examples. I opened the textbook all but twice, so not really needed. Work outside of class is rare and is straight forward. Solid choice for a prof.

Bruce is a very engaging, fun professor to have. The material taught in the class is pretty straightforward and although he rarely mentions readings in the textbook, many questions on the exam came from it. I recommend actually reading from the textbook though because a high B/ low A in this class can turn to a straight A if you follow the readings

There are three exams throughout the class, but most of them have some content that isn't even taught in class. However, there are study guides before the exams that you can easily look up the answers to. Class attendance isn't needed. Easy A!

Covey was a fairly easy and extremely laid back instructor for a 300 level course. I expected it to be much harder but nah, I barely came to class except for on test days and got an A+. Lectures easy. Great personality. Beware though. He will bore you when he goes on and on about his family experiences. It can be quite excessive but not unbearable.

Bruce is a very sweet person and the class is structured nicely. Attendance is not mandatory, but there are occasionally some in-class assignments worth 5 points each. Read the textbook before exams, because most of the information is found there. It is important to do well on tests because the class is only based off of 450 possible points.

Bruce will help you with EVERYTHING! He'll answer any test questions you have! A downside is he doesn't post the lectures online, so if you miss you'll have to get the notes from someone else. But, he gives out study guides that have answers online and have everything that's on the exam. I loved him and his lectures, he was so much fun!!

Super chill dude, I never minded his lectures. 3 exams, he gives study guides but they don't mirror the test as much as you'd like for how long the study guides take. I learned a lot and there's a lot of small in class assignments, the points add up in the end and can make a difference.

This was my second time having Bruce Covey as a professor and both times have been great experiences. He is understanding, emails back quickly, easy to talk to, and likes to tell personal stories during lectures to make the content more interesting. Super great teacher. I had the class half in person half online due to Covid and he transitioned really nice. The class was pretty easy but super interesting. The tests are mostly on the reading but you should still pay attention the lectures. I took Writing Intensive but it wasn't too much writing and wasnt graded super hard.

Bruce is a great professor. He makes his lectures engaging even though that is most of your time spent with him. He does not give a lot of homework. The homework is in the book so it's all online. Mid Term and Final Exam. 2 other assignments other than bookwork.

Professor Covey was an extremely laid-back professor. He was always very understanding with deadlines and the homework is easy. Class is basically just watching him read a PowerPoint while he connects the topics to real-world examples which really helps. The homework is very time-consuming though, but it helps immensely on the exams.

I loved having this professor for my Lifespan Development class! He always made sure to make the lectures interesting, we only had homework a few times over the course of the semester, only one paper, and the discussions were very open and interesting. This was my very first college class and I loved it :)

Professor Covey was a good professor whose lectures were engaging to listen to. I was in a large lecture class with 80+ students, but he still made an effort to get to know each of his students. The biggest difficulty in this class is the exams, which are a significant portion of the grade and often included material not covered in the lectures.

This class was really chill and a super easy UP credit. Basically all you have to do is show up do a couple homework assignments and write one 2 page paper. The material of the class was also very interesting as you learn about the whole lifespan of humans.

Bruce is pretty basic, he gives interesting lectures and the occasional assignment. Make sure to go to class because he will give in class assignments and important information. he is generally organized in class, but the syllabus will change and he does not respond to emails. GOT O CLASS FOR YOUR INFORMATION. Fun professor and an easy class.

Professor Covey was very nice and a pretty relaxed professor. Attendance is important since there are some small group assignments done in class, but honestly as long as you show up to class and turn in your assignments you should be fine. Class was not hard, and the professor is great.
