There are quizzes every Friday and only 2 exams. Each quiz is 6 minutes for 10 questions and the exams are 35 minutes for 50 questions. Its nearly impossiblele to do unless you 100% know the material. Definitely not the easy A I thought it would be.
This class was an easy A. The structure is organized and easy, the work for each week took me less than 30 minutes. Read through the chapters, write down the info from the charts, and then have your text book handy for the quizzes because they have quick reference sections which have all the answers to the quizzes.I did not fail one same for exams
Do the homework and keep up with the quizzes and it is an easy A. The quizzes and tests don't give you a lot of time but it isn't very hard.
Didn't really interact with this professor a lot. He was always very responsive to my emails and he was sometimes rude but normally very helpful. This class is a lot of reading. But its a pretty easy course if you're willing to put in the time.
Really easy class. There are only 2 exams. Got a 70 on the first test, but I made quizlets and used them on the second test and got a 95. Tests are open notes, take advantage of it.
Having Dr. Hanik as an online instructor was amazing he was super accessible.
I took Dr. Hanik online. It was an interesting class. If you complete the "busy-work" requirements, the quizzes and tests are a breeze. He is VERY accessible via email and easy to work with. DEFINITELY recommend!
I took him for online med. terminology and there were daily learnsmarts followed by a quiz. LS aren't due until later but I would do them with the corresponding chapter quiz so you don't get behind at the end. Also helps. Quizzes are easy, 2 exams.. everything Is in the book!! Open note everything. Got perfect score on first exam and 49/50 on 2nd
This class is super easy! I took the online version and it is an easy A. Highly recommend Professor Hanik for the class too! He explains everything really well and even sends reminders when things are due.
Get ready for 6 minute quizzes and 2 tests but besides that the class is an easy A. The quizzes are easy given you've put in the time reading the chapter and learning the words. Other than that the class is a breeze.
The hardest thing about the class was adjusting to the very short timed quizzes. Once you take a few you'll be ok. Take detailed notes because he can ask anything from the vocabulary charts in the book. Overall easy online class.
One of the easiest classes at A&M. The only hard thing about this class was the timed quizzes. Most of the answers were on quizlet though. I kind of bombed the midterm otherwise I would've had an A.
Timed quizzes, but if you knew they stuff they were easy. This class is an easy A, I highly recommend!
Quizlet is your best friend for this class. Only a quiz each week and 2 exams. Overall easy A if you study the vocabulary, which is the entire point of this course.
Quizzes and homework every week. I missed two quizzes, which seemed like a big deal at the time, but still managed to pull off an A. Exams are super easy, but stressful because you get 30 minutes to answer over 50 questions. Control F will be your best friend!
I absolutely loved this class. It was a lot of reading but if you read the textbook and take notes you'll be fine. The quizzes are timed for 6 minutes with 10 questions but they're definitely not hard if you took notes.
I took it online in summer. Super easy. Read the book, do the assignment that corresponds with the chapter. Definitely need the book. No lectures. He never actually communicated with us, the TA did all the work. 2 exams that aren't too bad. Definitely take online. Such an easy, doable summer class as well. Interesting material.
DO NOT TAKE HLTH 354 ONLINE. THIS IS BY FAR THE HARDEST ONLINE CALSS I HAVE EVER TAKEN. THE WEEKLY QUIZZES WILL CAUSE YOU SO MUCH UNNECESSARY STRESS. IF YOU WANTED AN EASY A THIS IS NOT THAT CLASS. YOU CAN ONLY MISS 25 POINTS FOR THE WHOLE SEMESTER!! YOU ONLY GET 6 MINUTES TO COMPLETE 10 QUESTIONS ON THOSE WEEKLY QUIZZES. I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE THIS!
Lectures are insanely boring. He is the most monotone guy I have ever heard. Class is mandatory but, not needed to pass. Tests come straight from the book and quizzes. Do not take with him if you have the choice.
Only thought about this class once a week because of the quizzes due on fridays. Take this class! Its stressful because th quizzes are timed, but if you have any prior anatomy/ prefix knowledge it would help tremendously so you wouldn't have to read the book. Don't wait until the last min to do the assignments! very tedious. IF HAVE TO TAKE ONLINE!
Super easy 3-hr course and I actually learned some medical terminology. Easy A as long as you do your work and take the quizzes.
The class was very easy. One quiz a week, the only difficult part was that the quizzes only give you six minutes for ten questions. This wasn't a problem on most occasions. Very easy class and I would highly recommend for an easy three hour A.
This class is pretty easy! Quizzes and tests aren't but the time can be a constraint. Make sure to know the information before taking them. Also, having a friend in the class can make it a LOT easier!
He starts off by saying how easy his class is but he doesn't make his own PowerPoints, quizzes, or tests. If you ask him questions about the quizzes or tests he admits he doesn't know the answer and that he doesn't know what's going to be on them. Memorize the online quizzes and textbook. Halfway through lectures he googles stuff he does not know.
Copy literally everything down on a google doc that is in the charts in the textbook chapters. Everything is open note and you'll need it, use your notes and command F to search stuff for the quizzes and tests. He gives extra credit at the end worth 2% of your grade. Quizzes are 6 min for 10 questions (HARD) Tests are 35 min for 50 questions (Easy)
I took Prof. Hanik for an online Med. Term. class and it wasn't too bad. There weren't many grades and you have to take 10 question quizzes in 6 minutes, but it's definitely a doable class. It is also really beneficial to health majors. For an online class, pretty easy. There was two tests and I got an A on both (and I didn't study)
Easy A as long as you stay on top of the 13 quizzes (one per week). 2 exams, one midterm, one final that's it! Accessible if you have any questions, but very clear grading from the beginning. Hardest part is that the quizzes are only 6 minutes long. Definitely recommend!!
I took this class as a GPA booster for professional school, but ended up regretting it. His lectures are absolutely ridiculous because he does not make any of his slides and has to look things up on google to figure out what half of it means. I felt like I learned absolutely nothing and it was more of a mandatory study hall for other classes.
Attendance was mandatory, but I never felt I learned anything from his lectures. He would get off on random tangents that had nothing to do with the class. Nice guy, but didn't make any of the course content himself, which was obvious from his lectures. Lots of online quizzes to boost your grades, but tests are hard to study for.
This class is super easy. My advice is to take it with a friend because it can end up being a huge help. Once a week quizzes but I would do the entire chapter in less than an hour in one sitting. Only two tests. Once you figure out what system of note taking works, (type them) you'll get the easiest A.
I do not recommend this prof at all. He doesn't know how to lecture. He reads word for word off of a powerpoint that his test aren't even based on. The tests and quizzes come straight from the book and we don't learn half of the material in the exams. Some of the exam questions com straight from the quizzes which is the only reason why I got an A.
Several students made an A on both exams and still ended up with a 89 in the class. He will not give any extra credit or curve the grade. The quizzes are 6 minutes long and he does not care about the students or helping them.
I am not a health major so almost everything was new to me. I genuinely enjoyed this course because I learned so much. The professor sends out weekly reminders about quizzes. I hated that the quizzes were only 6 minutes because they were pretty hard. The exams were not bad. I studied a ton and took amazing notes but barely scraped by with an A.
this class is pretty tough because he gives a 10 question quiz every week over a chapter, but you're only allowed 6 min!! but the website loads so slow so it's basically 5 min. he doesn't care about his students at all and the grading is pretty unfair for how much stuff we have to know.
You HAVE to take good notes to do well on the quizzes (10 of them) and the 2 test. Copy down everything! The word, word part, word part def, how to say it, syllable emphasis, and the definition into a word doc and use Command F. A lot of people found this class harder than it was suppose to be and I believe it's because they didn't take good notes.
My advice is to copy evrything down into a word document, that way it is easy to search through your notes. For the test I combined all of my notes from each chapter into 1 document which made taking the test a lot easier (It was like 300 pgs of notes though). He does not give extra credit. He does let you make up 1 quiz if you forget to take it.
VERY easy online class. The quizzes are 10 questions but you only have 6 minutes. That's the only difficult part of the class and it was still easy. There are two tests and compared to the quizzes, they are actually easier. Loved that I could complete quizzes and easy assignments weeks in advance. Only had to worry about this class once a month TBH
This class consisted of weekly times quizzes and 2 exams, everything is open note and online so they're not difficult at all. I missed a quiz and still made an A, so a solid choice if you're looking for an easy A class. Required very minimal time and effort. Would definitely recommend.
Super easy online class. Only 2 exams and weekly quizzes. Although the quizzes are ten questions in six questions, if you read the chapter beforehand and take good notes then you will get a 100 on all of them. For the quizzes and tests, copy and paste the textbook chapter into online notes since the chapters are pretty long. Take this class!
Bruce is an interesting man, sometimes I feel like he is learning the material with us. If you just need the credit, take this prof. If you actually want to learn DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. !!!!!!!!!mandatory attendance!!!!!!!!
AMAZING ONLINE CLASS! weekly quizzes (10 questions in 8 minutes) don't worry its more doable than it seems! and weekly LS (do before quizzes... makes them easier)! and only 2 exams! I recommend getting a paper copy of the textbook!!
Easiest class I have taken at A&M! This class was run by his TA, who grades everything easy! Definitely take this course if you need an EASY A!!! This class is also super interesting! I would definitely take this class again!
If you have to take 231, DON'T TAKE IT IN PERSON. Hanik is an online prof that got forced to teach an face-to-face section and it shows. He has absolutely no knowledge of the material and actually admitted that he couldn't pass his own tests. He spends more time arguing with the textbook info than he does actually teaching us info.
If you have to take 231, DON'T TAKE IT IN PERSON. Hanik is an online prof that got forced to teach an face-to-face section and it shows. He reads off the slides and has some notes on each one, basically learning the material as he presents it to us. He's an easy grader and nice person but don't take this class in person, he's not a good professor.
Attendance is mandatory. Reads straight from slides. Quizzes for every chapter. He is a good guy he just cannot explain topics or what we need to know for exams. Exam structure is too generalized; wanted us to study everything instead of focusing on important ideas.
Copy and paste the chapter into a word doc. To study, make a quizlet of the words, how to pronounce, meaning and work breadown. DO the LS practice questions and ctrl + F if you forget or don't know (because it's allowed). Weekly quizzes that are easy and midterm + final that are easier. Can lowkey look at the chapter day of quiz, do all that and A.
do NOT take this class in person! online version is much better. mandatory attendance and he just reads off the slides. never really explains concepts in detail and it comes across like he doesn't know the material he's teaching. studied for exams using only the textbook because of how little i learned in lecture.
Super easy class. Weekly quizzes which aren't hard, as long as you have textbook access. Homework is due before each exam, so keep up with it or it can be a lot due at once. 3 exams, no final. Prof is super understanding and lets you make up one quiz if you miss it. I took this online but have heard his in person class is more rigorous.
I had Hanik for HLTH 231. He makes the class really easy - online quizzes over every chapter with unlimited attempts & no time limit and journal submissions that he grades really easy. Attendance is mandatory, his lectures are somewhat helpful, you have to read the textbook to do well on the tests, but a lot of the test questions are from quizzes.
Very, very easy online class. Control F short cut is your best friend. Do every assignment and make decent grades and an A is very achievable
This class is such a good GPA booster. He doesn't lecture at all, the class just consists of a lot of textbook readings and weekly quizzes with two open-note exams. Definitely type your notes and use a search tool for those quizzes/tests, and its a super easy A.
this prof is awesome. this class is medical terminology and all you have to do is do 25 participation point questions at each chapter, a quiz once a week and 2 exams. No final exam. Very easy class and highly suggest for a easy A. All quizzes and homework opened in the beginning of the course so you can get ahead and only open the class for exams
Idk why Hanik is getting hated on, if you take is online classes he is great. Hes funny, insightful, and overall a good guy. Grades easily, class zooms are laid back and non-stressful, there is some work you need to do but if you just get it done you'll be fine. Also the textbook is easy to read and a free pdf, never had a prof like Hanik before
This is the easiest class I've ever taken, it was flex online so it was at my own pace. There's an easy quiz once a week; people complain about the timing of 10 simple questions in 8 minutes, but it's open note. Could've taken the whole course in a couple of days. Hanik is laid back, and checks in with an email every couple weeks or so.
If you are wanting to take HLTH 231 in person, do not take this class with Hanik.; it is really boring and dreadful. I felt like I wasted my money on this class because it was that boring and he was that awful of a professor. His slides for his lecture is awful and he rambles about nonsense and you have to go back and read the textbook.
Medical Terminology is a super easy class, you take an 8 minute quiz every chapter but it's open note. The only thing I didn't like is that there is no actual teaching on his part, everything is textbook and quizzes. I would've loved to have actual lectures and learn more about medical terminology.
This is an asynchronous online class, so you will not see any of Dr. H. However, his course setup is foolproof and designed very straightforward and easy to complete. Be warned, there is not much time allotted on quizzes/exams, so having stellar notes are key (exams are open note). Easiest class I have taken thus far, and would recommend to anyone!
Relatively easy class as long as you read the book and take notes. Weekly assignment and quiz, two exams that are very similar to quizzes. The only thing is that reading the book took me ages and I had to dedicate a few hours to take notes. Other than that the class is easy and self-paced (for online).
Online class very easy even though you need to put in work and read a bit but its interesting topics! He has quizzes every week and two test which are all similar to each other. Ive always heard great things about him as a professor and he has met those expectations. I recommend
Very easy class! Quizzes and tests are very easy if you take notes. He highlights everything you know for each chapter and the assignments are open note! There are assignments that go along with the book and you can do them at your own pace and correct them until you make a 100. Definitely recommend.
I had Prof Hanik for medterm and it was literally the easiest class ever. We had quizzes every week and 2 exams and all of them were open note. He would email every once in a while and thats all the interaction we had with him.
Literally the easiest class Ive ever taken. Professor Hanik is amazing. The class is structured so well and he pre-highlights all of the important areas within the textbook. I took this class as a 3 week winter mini-mester and easily got an A.
Loved this class! It was online and very easy. The textbook was interactive so there are assignments within the textbook and you have to answer like 30 or so questions per chapter and it was really good practice for the quizzes and exams. Take this class! He also emailed us here and there and was there if we needed any help.
The class is set up very straightforward and simple. Good notes are important
This professor for this class was very good. His med term class was not too challenging just required a little work each week to do well on the quizzes.
Easiest class I've taken thus far! I recommend doing the Smartbook questions before the quiz and not waiting until the last minute, it helps with the quizzes. The exams are easier than the quizzes in my opinion. Stay on top of the deadlines and this class will be a piece of cake. Find the pdf of the textbook to use during open note quizzes/ exams!
Dr. Hanik's online Med Term class was the easiest class I've ever taken. 2 units; 7 chapters per unit: quiz per chapter each week; 8 mins, 10 questions. One assignment per chapter that were due for the unit before the exam (they take some time so do them early). 2 exams; 35 mins, 50 questions. No final. Quizzes and exams were open-note. EASY A!!
He's a really good teacher. I had him for HLTH 231 last semester too, so I can say he's good online and in person. He's a good straight-forward teacher and it's easy to do well. Don't worry! You'll be just fine!
Great professor and super easy class, take him! Picks 5 random attendance days. Very, super, easy A as long as you do the assignments which are veryyy easy. And only 2 exams which don't really require you to study. There are 12 quizzes with 25 questions but its open note and you can even get them done in less than a week.
Easy. No lectures, just the textbook. There are weekly chapter quizzes that are 8 min for 10 questions, just make sure you make a pdf of all the info from the chapter so you can ctrl f and find what you need without having to search through each page. Exams are the same, but 50 questions in 35 min. Make sure to stay on top of smartbook assignments.
Med term was not a bad class at all. Just make sure you complete all of the assignments and weekly lessons online. He sent out emails through out the semester before the exams making sure to remind us to complete quizzes or online assignments. Super nice and was not a bad online class for an elective!
Professor Hanik's class was super easy, I took it in person and although attendance is random he does at times give a heads up to when that "random" attendance will be. The course load was a reasonable amount, weekly quizzes, journal updates due every two weeks, and other small tasks. I loved his lectures, 10/10 recommend it! Easy A class.
The course was online, but he would send out weekly or bi-weekly emails surrounding upcoming tests. The class was pretty self-explanatory. Weekly assignments and two/three tests. He is open to communication, just make sure you read the syllabus before asking. Overall, I learned a ton, and was a breeze.
While the course was very easy, I did not feel that the professor did anything to help me learn. He never posted any type of lecture, used premade tests from the online textbook, and very rarely would email us. Overall not a bad course, but the professor was no help at all.
Very nice and simple course! Professor Hanik is very kind and makes sure to remind us when to complete assignments. He does care about participation a lot (there are a few assignments for it), so make sure to pay attention to class if in person!
He was a very nice professor! Only takes attendance 10 times throughout the semester, but you don't want to miss the days he does, because it will affect your grade. Quizzes every week that are easy and only 2 tests.
It's an online class thats pretty straightforward. The timing was the hard part for me during the first half of the course but got the hang of it after the first test.
The class structure is pretty straightforward forward but the quizzes can be tricky. You just are not given a ton of time to do them. Quizzes and exams are open note, pretty easy. If you put forth a little bit of effort, it should be an easy A. Dr. Hanik is good with sending reminder emails which is helpful.
I never really had to get in touch with him much out of class, but he is understainding so if you have any problems just email him.
Weekly quizzes (8min, 10questions). Weekly smart books that all can be done in 2 weeks. Two 50 question exams that you have 35 minutes to take. HIGHLY recommend taking him! He is kind and loves to check up on us throughout the semester. Recommend doing good on quizzes so you can gain most points as possible. Easy class 10/10.
I love Professor Hanik, and take any of the classes he teaches. He truly loves his job and that is reflected by how much he cares for his students and their success. The course grades/guidelines are outlined clearly in the syllabus. If you complete the assignments, and read the textbook, there is no way you can fail the exam.
I would recommend this professor. I got a B but it is totally possible to get an A if you put in the extra work. My course was online so I wasn't with the professor much but he sent kind emails ever so often and always reminded us when stuff was due. The course I took was all on McGraw Hill and it was two exams and weekly homework. Take him!
I really enjoyed taking HLTH 354 as an online course. It wasn't the easiest online ever, but very manageable even though I had a large workload with other classes. Weekly quizzes/homework and a few tests, but interesting material imo. I even forgot about a test and he let me take it the following Monday with only a 10% penalty. highly recommend.
Great class if you want to pursue medicine. Online so you work at your own pace. Open notes so recommend making a pdf of your notes so you can search something in your notes if you forget.
Online class so it was mainly self-paced. He emails frequently and sends out reminders. Connect textbook is kinda $$ but super easy to use. Took maybe an hour or two of my time every week to do all assignments. Def recommend!
Hanik is the easiest hlth prof ive ever had, however do not take this class in person, he makes attendance mandatory and its a painful thing to get through three times a week. His slides suck and he just rambles on the whole time about random stuff. tests and quizzes are open note, but the fact that attendance is mandatory is very frustrating
Prof Hanik is a really caring professor and makes accommodations if you need them! However, attendance is mandatory and the class itself is pretty boring and lectures are a pain. The only thing I would change is that our grade wasn't visible to us all semester and left a lot of questions about how to raise it with less than a week left. Easy class!
Please don't take this class, you have to use McGraw Hill which is terrible at grading answers that are fill in the blank. You only get 8 minutes on a 10 question quiz, and 35 minutes on a 50 question exam. Quiz answers are very sensitive so it is easy to get a question wrong when the right answer was used. The professor is not very understanding.
I took Medical Term online, this is a great GPA booster class and I learnt a lot as well. I recommend you don't forget to take your quizzes because they count towards your grade a lot (13 quizzes, lowest get's dropped, 8 minutes for 10 questions). There are also 2 exams (50 questions, 35 minutes) and no final.
Super easy online class that relies on the textbook! Professor Hanik sent out emails as a reminder and this class was overall very simple and took me about 20 minutes a week to complete.
I took HLTH354 as an online course and it was an easy A. As long as you complete the weekly quiz and smart book activity each week, you will be successful. Everything is open note in this course so take advantage! If McGraw Hill graded my assignment incorrectly, Professor Hanik fixed it immediately and was responsive. Cannot recommend him enough.
This class was online, and it was a very easy A. Exams and HW were online and open note. Pay attention to due dates as the professor doesn't often remind you of them, but the class was easy to keep up with. Take good notes to reference during the exams as some of the answers are highly specific to the textbook.
I highly recommend taking this course with Dr. Hanik! There were no video lectures, only textbook reading and weekly quizzes. The exams were straightforward and open note. This was a very manageable class and he was easy to reach via email.
So basically, you don't have a professor because its an online class. There's only two exams, no final, so if you don't do good on both you're done for. Its all open note though so it was really helpful. He drops quizzes too so he did well considering its online.
Easy prof if you just care about getting an A. However, if you actually want to learn the material that is on quizzes and tests you need to buy and read the book. His lectures do not give you enough information to successfully take the quizzes and tests. He is very funny. Not the best at teaching. Lack of rubrics makes finishing HW difficult.
He rambles, I can learn more from a youtube video than being present in class. He's very strict on attendance for no reason as there is nothing valuable coming from his lecture. Grading wise, he's a hard grader for a class that shouldn't be this tough. If you don't do something exactly how he wasn
It's not that the class itself is hard, it's the professor. Hanik is extremely difficult to work or reason with. For an example, I did an assignment and received a 0, then he asked me to redo it so I did and still received a 0, and did it a third time and still have a 0. This is unacceptable. He makes this class more difficult than it needs to be.
Weekly quizzes based on chapter readings so make sure not to miss those. Exams are very specific, but the good thing is that they are open-note and open-book. What I found that worked is having multiple tabs open with my notes, the exam, and the textbook. You do have to purchase the textbook and the homework platform, but they are a bundle to buy.
There is weekly quizzes, multiple attempts. The quizzes and tests are all open notes. Attendance was mandatory, and you get one free pass. This class was really easy and professor Hanik is understanding if you do an assignment wrong, and usually lets you redo it.
This class is a great class to take. It's completely online and you will have a homework and quiz each week. Theres two exams that are weighed pretty heavily, but if you study the quizzes you should be fine. Dr. Hanik is great at responding to his emails, and will send out reminders when things are due.
This class was pretty easy, but did require a lot of textbook and homework. The exams were fairly long with not a lot of time, and there was one quiz due each week. Everything was 100% online so that was nice, and he responded to my emails pretty fast.
Only one quiz per week which were all very easy. Also only had 2 exams the whole semester, so I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking for an easy elective you don't need to worry about too much.
Overall, easy elective. Weekly quizzes that are fairly easy. The textbook is given to us on Connect which the quizzes are based on. Only two exams the whole semester. You can even knock out multiple weekly quizzes in one week if you want to get ahead. Grades based on quizzes, textbook reading assignments, and exams.
Loved this class! It was super easy, just weekly quizzes and 2 exams and then connect homework for each chapter. Super manageable and I knocked most of my work out within 4 weeks. Definitely can take with a heavy course load and you won't have to stress about this class.
He's not very lenient or understanding but his class is fairly easy other than the confusing assignment instructions at times that are odd. Kind of a smart A and refuses to answer questions via email, he'll respond with "come see me after class and ask me then". ATTENDANCE MANDATORY you will fail if you don't come to class.
Honestly, I don't have much to say about him other than his lectures are all over the place. Very random and rambles on a lot. Nice guy who will help you if you need it though.
Such a nice break from my major-specific classes. I loved learning just for fun. Easy class to work ahead in and not procrastinate on (highly recommend for when life gets busy!) Instructor sent out intermittent reminders as well!
Haniks lectures are all over the place, he tends to ramble. On some assignments he has VERY confusing instructions and will give you a zero and say "see me after class". Attendance is REQUIRED!! He also requires you to participate a min of 3 times for a grade. He has quizzes every week with 25q that are easy. Not a bad prof but difficult person.
This was a very easy class. He takes attendance every class period, and if you miss one time if brings your grade down one or two points. He's pretty unclear with his grading and assignment instructions, but I've had him for an online class before and didn't have a problem so I would suggest trying to take this class online if you can.
Dr. Hanik is a king. I somehow forgot to take one of the online exams and he let me take it late. His class is very easy, but one of the most helpful I've taken in terms of applying things learned in this class to real life. The amount of work each week is minimal and manageable, and is a great option if you're taking hard classes alongside it.
Professor Hanik is a great professor I'd take again. For consumer health, we had quizzes every week on Canvas that come from the free interesting textbook for this class. We had a project throughout the semester that he explains in great detail if you attend class. His lectures are interesting and you can tell he loves what he is teaching.
Dr. Hanik was great. His class is done through McGraw Hill and is very easy to do along with some heavier classes. The quizzes and tests are easy and open-note. Definitely a good GPA booster for a semester with several hard classes.
This is a great GPA booster. Weekly quizzes that are open-notes. Only two exams, which are also open-notes. Just make sure to look over the textbook and watch out for the time on quizzes.
Easiest class at TAMU! There are weekly quizzes and two exams total so don't forget your deadlines! Everything is open-note but assignments are timed so work efficiently. Overall, very easy for a 3-hour credit and great GPA booster. I spent maybe 5 hours max the entire semester for this class!
Dr. Hanik's class is a great online elective with manageable weekly work. The quizzes and exams are straightforward if you stay on top of the readings. unstuck study was a helpful study tool alongside the textbook. Overall, a solid choice for an easy yet informative class.
Easy A. Only difficult part is the exams and quizzes are timed and are super fast paced. If you're not good at time crunches, then don't recommend taking the class. Prof is super chill. Easy to work with and great with communicating online.
I took the online version of this class and it was very easy to understand. There is a quiz and smartbook for every chapter and then 2 exams overall. The only downfall was that the time you had to complete a quiz and test in was very slim. He responds to emails very quickly and is open to lots of questions. A great class to take on a heavier load!
Easy A! Weekly quizzes and homework's and two exams. Only downside is very short amount of time for quizzes and exams but manageable. Easy class with a heavy workload.
This class was a great BDE to take. It's super laid back (one assignment + one quiz per week and 2 exams overall), and the course load is super manageable. Would definitely recommend taking this class, especially if you're taking harder classes.
I just made flashcards of all the roots, prefixes, suffixes, and terms for the class.
I took this as an online class and I would recommend as a BDE. quizzes and exams are open note and the content is extremely necessary if you plan on working in the medical field.
He's hilarious and it's an easy class. 1 test, quizzes, and a speech. The review is same as the test, super easy. He uses participation points like the rest of his classes-talk 3 times in class, worth 10 points on final grade. Listen and clarify for final project/ speech and you'll be fine. A little confusing, but a good class. Basic material.
No lockdown browser and there are quizlets readily available. Material and assignments are available from the beginning and are done on your own time (1 hmwk and 1 quiz due a week). Quizzes are 8 min timed 10Q but nonissue for me. Responds to emails daily. Very doable with heavy schedule, just don't slack on those quizzes and exams!
He is awesome! The grading criteria is very clear. He is very willing to work with students. If you need an extension or a makeup, he is happy to make accommodations. Overall, there were a lot of assignments, but they were not too hard. I enjoyed this class.
This is a very easy, low-stress class where everything is open note. Quizzes and exams are timed, and quizzes are due weekly, but it is very hard to not get an A.
Overall, very responsive and is easy to contact and work with for excused absences. He gives out weekly quizzes and two tests. The quizzes are open note. There are a lot of homework assignments that go with the weekly quizzes that are all due at the end of the semester, so do not forget about them.
This was the easiest BIMS elective I have taken! Super low stress, just make sure to stay on top of the quizzes and smartbook assignments every week. I would do work for this class when I was too overwhelmed to work on anything else. Definitely a great elective to take alongside difficult major coursework classes. It was fun and I learned a lot!
Such an easy and low-stress BIMS elective! Grades were based off of weekly quizzes and smartbook homework assignments w/ 2 exams. I was interested in learning the content as well. I thought this class was extremely doable with all of my other classes, so I definitely would recommend taking it!
Class is super easy and interesting! There was 13 (I think) homework assignments and quizzes through the semester, so not too much if you do like one chapter per week which takes like 45 minutes max. Prof is super nice as well! Very easy and helpful BIMS elective!
Very easy class, took it online. The ONLY thing is I had, and I think multiple people had technical issues with McGraw Hill throughout the semester. Make sure you are somewhere with good wifi when you take the quizzes and tests. Gives you short amount of time for both, so work quickly. But great professor, HIGHLY recommend for easy credits.
Great class to balance out your schedule with. Quiz once a week and the course is fully online and at your own pace. The terminology is written in a way that applies to real life and genuinely teaches you the medical language.
Kindest professor ever and so caring! Easy A for the class and just stay on top of the assignments!
