Hietbrink does a pretty good job preparing for what is on the exams. Lots of people do poorly but that's more because of the course than the professor. Do the practice exams he posts online! Class notes are helpful, but sometimes he goes too fast on his slides during lecture. Curve's pretty big so managing a passing grade isn't tough.

Although most students fail to understand the basic mechanisms that are "derived" "in-class" by the professor, they are difficult to self learn. That's what office hours are for. Bruce is a nice guy and a very reasonable man. Lectures are mediocre and exams can be difficult since partial credit is sparse. Biggest tip is to get a TUTOR. Only reason I did well in the class. Exams are basically same as old ones. Forget lecture and teach yourself the exams. Final exam grade replacement and a generous grading scale will save you
